#The owl house prompt

Hello. How are you all doing?

  This time I thought I'd bring a little prompt from one of my favorite TOH characters, Lilith Clawthorne!

  The idea consists of one small scenario that I believe would be encounter that Lilith would love.

  Lilith loves picnics in your company. She has spent so much time running errands on behalf of the Emperor's coven that having time just for herself is refreshing. Usually Eda hides a generous bottle of Apple Blood in her basket, but since you seem to like the drink Lilith doesn't complain.

 Most of the time you and Lilith they just read or talk about books and plans for the future. Sometimes the conversations revolved about Unity Day, about how everything turned into a mess and there was the terror that things would never go back to the way they were before.

  Lilith holds your hand with affection, she usually tries to say something to lighten the mood, but ends up not knowing what to say, since she also had this fear. 

   Most of the time you just sit there in silence and lost in your own thoughts. The silence is only broken when you steal some fruit from the basket and say you're glad things turned out the way they did, smiling fondly at Lilith. 

Lilith smiles at you and silently thanks you for understanding, she hopes to have the right words in her mind someday, Lilith is still learning to bond but having you by her side It's making this lesson a lot easier.

You know, I've seen a lot of people put forward the idea of Luz or Amity confronting a racist in the human world over their relationship....but I'd also love to see a fic where that happens in reverse.

Like, I've seen signs that Luz doesn't get a lot of respect for being a human in the Boiling Isles, some people not even bothering to use her name and just calling her "human". I'd love to see maybe someone say Luz could never be as good as them because she's a human or mock her for trying to be any good at magic and Eda or Amity or one of her other friends all jump on the person who said that and defend Luz.

one of my favorite subgenres of writing tropes is "[insert common trope] but how traumatizing and emotionally taxing it'd actually be to go through is addressed and worked through."

I eat that shit UP. I love you chosen ones with massive emotional trauma and a crushing fear of disappointing the people around you! I love you kids who were lied to that they were chosen ones to manipulate them and were taken advantage of via being promised a purpose and something to keep them going! I love you stories where the hero and villain used to be best friends that show how horribly painful that split is and how crushingly isolating it feels! I love you stories where the comedic relief character has massive fucking issues nobody pays attention to! I love you stories where teenage heroes are actually addressed as "hey why the fuck is everyone treating a child like this???" I love you stories about siblings on the other side of a war that show how crushing that separation is! I love you stories where the protagonist not having parents isn't just played for explanation or tragisad points, it's addressed as massively traumatic! I love you isekais that address how terrifying itd actually be!!!! I love you sins of the father stories that address how unfair and horrible and painful it is and the complicated emotional reality that is revenge and guilt and grief and responsibility!!! I love you stories about monster slayers that actually address the potentially gray or difficult undertones!!! I love you stories where the protagonist was on the wrong side and abandoned their home that address how terrifying it is to leave behind everything they ever knew!!!

I love you trope subversion in the form of "yeah, we're gonna do this trope. but how do THEY feel about it?"

Airis in the Owl House

(Happens before S2 E10)

Airis ran and ran, running from the monster who, who, hurt her so much. She was happy! And than he had to come and ruin it!! As she ran she sniffled and squeezed her eyes to try and push back the tears but they where already falling.

She yelped when she tripped over something and slammed into the ground scrapping her already oozing injurys, causing her to scream in pain.

Luz was walking through the forest at night, she knew it wasn't the best idea but it was one of those nights where she had a nightmare and missed her mom to the point where she couldn't sleep. She froze when she heard a scream.

Determination suddenly blazed through her and she ran towards the direction the scream came from.

Airis laid there and whimpered, what was the point? He would find her no matter where she hid. At the sound of a twig snapping she snapped her head up and in the direction it came from, her pupils dilating as she looked.

Growling at the sight of someone she tried standing but her legs quickly gave out from under her, surfacing a whimper from her damaged throat.

"Hey, hey, it's okay I'm not gonna hurt you." The strange girl spoke.

"Ggrrrrrrr!!" Airis growled as she backed up only to bump into a tree. Her eyes widened in fear. Seeing no way out Airis started whimpering in defeat.

"Shhhhh, it's okay. I'm not gonna hurt you." The human smiled before sitting in front of Airis just out of arms reach.

Airis's ears drooped as she whimpered, and made confused noises.

"I'm Luz what's your name?" Luz asked with a tilt of her head and a smile.

Airis tried to say something really she did but nothing came out resulting in a sob racking through her.

"Hey, hey, no it's okay! Why don't you just write your name in the dirt?" Luz suggested reassuringly.

She made a warbling noise of excitement comframation before writing Airis in the dirt facing Luz.

"That's a pretty name, Airis." The human girl giggle and smiled.

Airis grumbled in embarrassment annoyance as a blush crept onto her face. When she looked up Luz was closer to her and reaching out her hand towards her.

"I promise I won't hurt you. I only wanna help you, please." Luz asked with sincerity.

Airis looked into Luz's eyes and all she could see was promises of safety, home, trust, and love.

Hesitantly Airis grab the humans hand, and as soon as she did she fell off the edge. In a second Airis pulled Luz to her chest and buried her head in her hair and Sobbed. She let it all out, years, and years of hurt and pain, she let it all out.

Luz comforted this creature she had just meet but she already knew that she was her new friend, and Luz would do anything to protect her new friend. She rubbed comforting circles in between Airis's wings as Airis sobbed.

It broke something in Luz to hear such pain and anguish coming from such a beautiful creature. How could anyone think of hurting Airis? Luz didn't know but she would protect her from whatever hurt her.

As Airis Sobbed Luz whispered. "I promise you're safe with me."

"Willow," Darius said, like it should have been obvious. "Of course it'll be Willow."

"You're betting against our son?" Camila demanded, eyebrows raised.

"Yes," Darius said.

Alador nodded. "Yeah, my money's on Willow," he said.

Camila threw her hands up. "Am I the only one who has any faith in him!?" Camila vs Hunter's sort-of-dad and sort-of-step-dad; it wasn't a battle of wills that Eda expected, but it was one she enjoyed watching.

"I agree," Perry said. "I'd say Willow."

Raine looked contemplative. They hummed, tapping a rhythm on the table, but didn't offer a side yet.

"Actually, I side with Camila," Lilith said slowly. She looked like she was thinking hard. Weighing the pros and cons would be Eda's bet. "Hunter is shyer than Willow, but he loves her dearly and he's brave. He can be very determined. I can see him proposing."

Darius and Alador exchanged dubious glances. Camila smiled smugly.

"Well, what about Luz and Amity?" Raine asked, tapping their chin.

"Luz," Camila and Eda said.

"Amity," Lilith said.

"Honestly, considering their track record, I expect them both to propose on the same day," Alador said with a shrug. "Or they'll try to anyway. Hopefully without Hooty's involvement this time."

"Is something wrong with Hootsifer?" Lilith demanded.

"You don't want me to answer that."

"Okay," Darius cut in quickly. "What about Gus and Matt?"

Perry snorted. "They'll need to actually date first," he said. "And my hair will be entirely grey by the time those boys sort themselves out. They're both painfully oblivious."

"Are they still calling it a rivalry?" Camila asked sympathetically.

"Unfortunately," Perry sighed.

Alador snorted into his apple blood. Eda gave him and Darius her most shit-eating grin.

"Yeah," Darius sighed. "We'll all be waiting a while on those two."

Hello, how are you?

First of all I would really like to thank you for all the votes I received in my previous post talking about Veesha. Seriously, I wasn't expecting that and it made my day, thank you so much.

So here I am bringing you a Vinira prompt this time. I know they haven't had much interaction on the show, but I honestly love this duo.

My idea is that Viney, despite his enviable experience in dealing with magical creatures, finds himself trying to treat an injured creature, but one that is quite stubborn. She even hurt herself a little trying to get closer. This frustrates her, because she knows the wound could get worse if it isn't treated soon.

Realizing his annoyance, Emira volunteers to help find and care for the creature. Viney at first thought of refusing, after all Emira is still known throughout Hexside as a prankster. But Viney knows she can't do it alone, so she accep.

After a long time looking for the creature in the forest they find it and Emira uses her Illusion magic, she recreates another creature, which draws the attention of the injured creature. Viney is surprised at how well the plan works, as the first creature seems distracted enough Viney approaches and begins treating it with his magic.

In the end the creature flees away, but at least Viney is calmer once she's been properly treated.

It's a cute idea in my opinion, showing how both of their abilities could marry perfectly. But it can also be an angst where, in order to escape, the creature ends up hurting Viney and Emira takes care of her until she gets better.

That was my idea. If you want to write it I hope you have a lot of fun. A big hug and a good weekend ♥️
