obi-wan who took the Councils side on the case with a young boy his master believed was the chosen one, obi-wan whos relationship and bond with anakin started through qui-gons death, obi-wan who getting to know the boy never once doubted he was special, obi-wan who became the parental figure, a guardian, never scared of anakins emotions and fears knowing he had every right for them, obi-wan who never stopped putting effort and faith in his padawan, obi-wan who never stopped praising anakin for his work when the Council was being harsh on him nor stopped being affectionate even though anakin began to push everyone away, obi-wan who begged to fight the Sith Lord as he couldnt bare to face the monster his beloved student became, obi-wan who felt so terribly guilty for failing his padawan as a master, failing the boy he swore to protect from becoming the very thing he sought to destroy, obi-wan being one of the most respected jedi masters getting so attached to skywalker he couldnt kill him either on mustafar or even ten years later, obi-wan telling anakin his lightsaber is his life only to bury their swords together in the sands of skywalkers home planet, obi-wan failing to protect anakin from himself, dedicating his life to protect everything good that remained after him, obi-wan getting the closure after way too many years in the very thing that started his bond with anakin, through death.

au in which minho has the flare instead of newt

i wrote this little ficlet based on this ask ^^ def broke my heart writing ab minho having the flare but here it is!

word count: 297

Thomas sits on the Safe Haven beachside. The waves wash over his feet and legs as he perches on a rock. The necklace that Minho had shoved into his hand before he lost the last of his sanity, now cradled in Thomas’ hands. Said necklace containing the letter that Minho had written on the rooftop, along with his plea to Thomas. 

“Kill me. If you’re really my best friend, you’ll kill me.”

Thomas squeezes his eyes shut at the memory of opening the letter. It was just after MInho had yelled at them during a ‘Gathering’, then stormed off and disappeared. That was, until the group found him inside of the Crank Palace. When Minho yelled at him and Newt to leave him, then yelled at Thomas because he didn’t do what his plea had asked of him. 

Minho had only ever asked Thomas of one thing, his entire life, and that was to end it. And Thomas couldn’t even do that for him. Minho ended up doing it himself, he got the gun away from Thomas and did it himself as Thomas was held down below him. Minho had straddled him so that he wouldn’t get the weapon from him. 

Thomas still remembers the sound, the jolt of Minho’s body, and the soft cry that left his own mouth. He vaguely remembers Newt pulling Thomas away from Minho’s body as Thomas cried out that he loves him, more than anything. He remembers the berg ride here, people trying to talk to him. It all fell onto deaf ears. Thomas didn’t care about anything anymore. 

He had lost Minho. The person he loved. He’s gone. Now Thomas is forced to live without him, only his memory. And that’s what he’ll do.

He’s decided to live for Minho.
