Hail To The End Of The World~
(1-?)
Short story # 18
✨Fandom(s) - The Expendables (Movies) & The Walking Dead (Series)
💍Pairing - Gunnar Jensen X Reader
🕯Summary - While traveling with Gunnar in search of the rest of your team, you cross paths with a survivor group, who upon seeing your equipment practically beg you to stay and help them.
⚠️Warning(s) - None really. Except for an age gap between you and Gunnar if that's something that should be warned? And like zombies dying but that's to be expected.
📝Note(s) - This just kinda popped into my head the other day, so here we are. So firstly Tool is your dad in this story, and your described as having a bunch of tattoos, and quite a few scars, including some facial scars. Other than that I don't think I go much into detail about anything else to do with you, other than a troubled past. (But that comes with the territory.) oh and you can draw now, like really well because I thought of something cute like 3/4th of the way through this. Plus you're Tools kid, so it's fitting.
🗝Key information - Text in orange parentheses (EXAMPLE) is the translation google gave me for the quotes written in Swedish.
🌬Year posted - 2023
📖Reading Time - Roughly 23 minutes.
🙈Rating - SFW/NSFW

"Come on." Gunnar muttered quietly to his partner, (Y/n). Who was swift if advancing as he had instructed her, her rifle snug in her arms felt so natural, like a another part of her. "Knives only." He reminded her, despite not actually needing to, as they crept up on a small cluster of five walkers. They dispatched their targets without a hitch, and continued on their way, slowly carving their way through Atlanta. "Five minutes." (Y/n) tossed over her shoulder to Gunnar, before she slipped into the old tech store, Gadgets 9000. Stupid name for a store, but that didn't matter. Gunnar scanned the surrounding area once more before following the younger woman inside. She'd killed the one walker that was inside, and was scowering the shelves and floor for the items she needed. "Bingo." She muttered and quickly shrugged off her bag, tossing the necessary items into the bag, along with a few simple items that would be good backups. "Times up." Gunnar called as he neared her, tapping her shoulder with two fingers to signal that she needed to be on guard again. Wordlessly she finished up and slung her bag back onto her back, readying herself for a potential fight as she picked up her rifle.
"Through the back." Gunnar instructed, on the off chance someone might have followed them, and would be waiting to ambush them out front. (Y/n) nodded her head and took the lead, per the usual. Once outside and they'd started to make their way down the alleyway, (Y/n) spared a quick glance back to Gunnar. "Where to now?" She questioned quietly, knowing they couldn't go back to their old camp, which was now overrun by a hord. "West." Was all he said as he pointed the barrel of his rifle in the direction. (Y/n) nodded in understanding and kept moving, now to the west, realizing quickly that it would be the quickest way out of the city. The realization making her smirk a little, as impressed as always with Gunnars tactical observations. Wordlessly Gunnar tapped two fingers against her shoulder once more, having taken notice of another set of footsteps approaching them, precise steps of a living person. (Y/n) instantly dropped to one knee in front of him, bringing her rifle up and aiming at where he pointed to the source of the sound. Gunnar also quickly trained his rifle, taking a sturdy stance behind (Y/n) and waiting.
Two men then rounded the corner, both of them freezing at the sight of the rifles pointed at them. "Woah h-hold on." The shorter of the two instantly holds his hands up in surrender, even with the bat still in his hands. "Don't shoot." The second guy also held his hands up in surrender, a crowbar in his hand. "Who are you?" (Y/n) asked, her voice stern and stoic. "I-I'm Glenn t-this is T-dog." The shorter male explained. "You never saw us." Gunnar stated tapping at (Y/n)'s shoulder to signal their retreat. "W-wait!" Glenn called out a little louder than he intended, jumping when the pair quickly spun on their heel, guns trained on him again. "W-we have a group." He started, looking increasingly nervous about having guns pointed at him, which was fair. "We could use your help." T-dog cut in, having realized like Glenn that these two strangers were far more equipped for this new world they all found themselves in. (Y/n) and Gunnar shared a look. "I could focus on fixing the transmitter more with a group of people looking out for the geeks." (Y/n) stated casually. "Yeah." Gunnar nodded his head, the thought having occurred to him as well. "Let's go." He stated as he looked to the others, who both nodded then turned to lead them back to their camp by the quarry.
----
Initially when Glenn and T-dog showed up with next to no medical supplies, Shane was beyond annoyed, at least until his eyes cast to the newcomers. Now he was annoyed for another reason. "Deputy Shane Walsh." He introduced himself as he approached the two, the rest of the group crowding behind him to observe the new faces. "(Y/n)." She introduced herself before nodding her head back towards her partner. "That's Gunnar." She wouldn't offer their last names, what was the point in last names anymore anyways? Shane took in the sight of their gear. "You guys military?" He asked what everyone else was thinking. "Something like that." Gunnar stated without offering an explanation. "We just need somewhere to lay low for a little while, then we'll be out of your hair." (Y/n) explained as she propped the butt of her rifle against her hip. "We can offer a hand with setting up some defenses." She added, as she looked around observing that they had no defenses. Shane internally bristled at her words, hating that he hadn't thought of setting any defenses up in the first place. "Alright." Shane agreed with a nod of his head, stalking off to sulk about being shown up by the newcomers.
The rest of the group was quick to welcome the pair, well aside from the degenerates in the crowd, and the pair was quickly bombarded with questions. When (Y/n) realized they had originally sent Glenn and T-dog out to get medical supplies, she offered a helping hand to look at the minor injuries a few of them had sustained while doing odd jobs. "Thank you (Y/n)." Andrea smiled warmly, as (Y/n) finished tending to the burn Andrea had sustained to her hand. "You're welcome." (Y/n) smiled back, though it didn't reach her eyes like it had Andreas. "Who..." She started as (Y/n) was packing up the little supplies she hadn't used. "Who exactly are you guys?" Andrea asked in a soft tone, clearly nervous about asking that question. "Ghosts." Was all (Y/n) offered before walking off to assist Gunnar with a quick perimeter check. "Their gonna get themselves killed." Gunnar stated as they slipped into the woods. "Probably." (Y/n) agreed with a shrug. "This world isn't what their used to, not even that deputy." She added, her words making Gunnar chuckle. "He doesn't like us." The Sweed pointed out. "I have a feeling he doesn't like many people." She snickered softly.
"You met the rednecks yet?" Gunnar asked as they continued their task. "Can't say I have." (Y/n) shook her head, recalling that she'd seen them, but she hadn't met them. "Avoid the older one, he's trouble." He stated casually, and (Y/n) simply nodded in agreement, trusting her partners judgment. Once they'd finished their patrol they made it back to the camp, going over some ideas of defense plans with a few of the group members, the few who seemed competent enough to offer input. "Honestly your best bet out here would be to just set up noise makers." (Y/n) concluded, knowing it would take far to long to set up proper defenses in such a large place. "Noise makers?" Dale wondered aloud, pulling an almost inaudible sigh from Gunnar, but (Y/n) had heard, she always heard. "Yeah just some tripwires attached to something that'll make a bunch of noise, so if a walker as you all call them trips over the wire, you'll all be alerted to the noise. They're easy to make, and convenient." (Y/n) explained, and the older man nodded his head in understanding. "Right. Sorry." Dale chuckled softly. "Don't apologize, questions are good." The younger woman waved him off before casting her gaze to Glenn.
"I assume you all have a designed place you take your trash?" She asked him, and he quickly nodded his head in agreement. "Good. We need to gather all the cans and bottles we can, and we'll need fishing line, a lot of line." Dale quickly perked up at that. "I've got a bunch of extra fishing line in the rv." He stated. "Perfect." She nodded before turning to follow Glenn, only to stop when Gunnar placed a hand on her shoulder. "You go deal with the lines, I'll deal with the trash." He instructed, making (Y/n) smile softly. "If you say so." She mused before following Dale. As Gunnar and Glenn rummaged through the garbage pile Glenn couldn't help but glance at the larger man from the corner of his eye, unsure of how to feel about the brooding behemoth of a man. "So (Y/n)." Glenn tried striking up small talk, and Gunnar simply grunted in acknowledgement. "Is she... Single?" Glenn asked. "No." Gunnar deadpanned. "Oh." Glenn swallowed nervously, understandably intimidated by the older man. "You guys?..." Glenn wondered aloud before he could stop himself, mentally scolding himself as soon as he did. "Yep." Gunnar hadn't even spared the young man a glance, which Glenn was admittedly grateful for, he was already anxious enough.
"S-she uh... She mentioned something about a transmitter?" Glenn tried changing the subject. "Doesn't concern you." Gunnar quickly shot him down, and Glenn took that as a sign to just stop talking. Gathering what they could into a few boxes, Gunnar lugged the majority of it back, while Glenn carried what he could. "Perfect timing as always." (Y/n) mused at Gunnar when he placed the boxes by her feet. When he straightened his back he allowed (Y/n) to tug him down to her height by his vest, smirking when she planted a quick peck to the side of his mouth. But before she could pull away, he quickly pulled her back, kissing her properly, his large hands splayed out on her lower back. (Y/n) chuckled softly as she pulled away from the kiss, staying close enough that when she spoke their lips brushed. "Someone askin' 'bout me?" She wondered with a playful glimmer in her eyes. "Just making sure they all know what's mine." The large Sweet murmured back before pecking her lips once more and straightening back up. A ghost of a smirk tugging at his lips when he noticed just about everyone was staring at them.
"You're impossible." (Y/n) mused before snatching up the first box, setting to work on making the noise makers part of the trap. "Probably." Gunnar shrugged casually before moving to assist her. By the time they'd finished that, and properly set up a perimeter with the noise makers, the sun hung low in the sky. "I'm gonna go down to the quarry and clean up a little bit." (Y/n) informed Gunnar, patting his shoulder affectionately before walking off. "Hey." He called to her before she could get to far, smirking when she turned to him without argument. "Yeah?" She tilted her head a little. "Just in case." He stated before tossing her his knife, still in its sheath she caught it with ease. "Careful." He added. "Always." (Y/n) mused before walking off, tucking the knife into her back pocket, after popping the safety strap in case she needed to grab it quickly. Satisfied Gunnar turned his attention back to her rifle, having offered to clean it for her a short while ago. Lori, Andrea, Amy, Carol and the kids tagging along with (Y/n) as she made her way down to the quarry.
----
"So you and Gunnar huh?" Carol asked with a smile as the group of women huddled knee deep in the water, cleaning up a bit as best they could while the kids played on the bank. "Yeah." (Y/n) mirrored her smile. "How long?" Lori asked kindly. "Since long before this all started." (Y/n) shrugged a little. "Maybe five years, give or take." She thought about it for a moment, shrugging again with a small chuckle. "How did that happen?" Amy asked, the others all perking up at that question. "Oh well I've known Gunnar for, hell half my life. He and my father worked together, well he worked for my father on occasion. Eventually my dad got me in the same line of work, and when the team noticed how much I mellowed Gunnar out they'd team us up all the time. My father pushed us to get together, and well eventually we took his suggestion, and we've been inseparable since." (Y/n) smiled fondly. "The first time I realized I loved him, he'd saved my life for the first time, he nearly..." She cut herself off realizing she was about to reveal more than she intended. "He what?" Amy pried, completely enraptured by her story.
"Doesn't matter now, that was a long time ago." (Y/n) shook her head with a small smile, going back to the task at hand. Amy was about to pry further until Andrea nudged her side, her younger sister taking the hint she bit her tongue. "It's sweet." Carol mused aloud, the others all nodding in agreement. "You have an awful lot of tattoos (Y/n)." Lori stated casually, her eyes raking over the ink covering a good deal of the skin (Y/n) was now showing, after having striped down to a tank top and her underwear earlier. "Oh yeah my father was also a tattoo artist, he'd been tattooing me since I was sixteen." (Y/n) smiled fondly as she looked to her arms. "Sixteen!?" Andrea gasped in surprise. "Yeah... Um well something had happened when I was sixteen... I was left with a whole bunch of scars because of it." (Y/n) licked her lip, lightly tracing the scar that ran over her lips. "My father felt guilty... Because... Well because in a way it was his fault. And he saw how insecure I had become because of the scars, so he offered to start tattooing over them, to make them beautiful, to make me beautiful. And well... I took him up on that offer." (Y/n) shrugged a little, the others feeling rather saddened by her story.
"They are beautiful." Lori smiled, despite never really being one for tattoos, or really understanding why anyone would want any until now. "Thank you." (Y/n) hummed with a small smile. The group quickly turning to the bank at the sound of approaching footsteps. "Hello ladies." Merle smirked as he waved his fingers at them, an anxious atmosphere washing over the group aside from (Y/n), who simply observed him. "Get out of here." Andrea hissed at him, the kids running into the water to be shielded by their mothers. "Well that's not very nice." Merle mocked with a small frown. "I suggest you listen to her." (Y/n) moved to place herself between the women and Merle, who shamelessly looked her up and down like she were on display for him. "Or what sweetheart?" He wondered tauntingly. "Or I'll crush your fucking windpipe you creep." (Y/n) hissed, her threat making him chuckle darkly. "Oh you're feisty." Merle grinned. "I ain't playin'." She stepped onto the bank, Merle hadn't noticed the sound of rapid footsteps.
"I don't believe you." He got in her face, still grinning. "Can't say I didn't warn you." (Y/n) hummed before suddenly headbutting him. Merle cried out in pain as he fell to the ground, clutching his bleeding nose. "Merle!" Daryl called out, him and half the guys all rushing down the hill, Gunnar included. "Fucking bitch!" Merle hissed as Daryl pulled him to his feet. "I'll fucking kill you!" He yelled as he fought his younger brother to let him go. "You can try." She taunted defiantly, feeling even more confident with Gunnar at her side. "You stupid bitch." Merle hissed, having broken from Daryl's hold, only for Shane to snatch him by his coller. "Fucking let go of me!" He shouted. "You need to cool it." Shane shoved him back. "She broke my nose!" Merle hollered. "You're lucky that's all she did." Shane shot back, fully aware she could have done far worse. "Let it go." Daryl muttered to his brother, who shoved him away before storming off. "You all okay?" Shane asked, looking to Lori. "Yeah." She nodded her head, and most of crowd that had formed retreated.
"Vill du att jag ska döda honom?" (Do you want me to kill him?) Gunnar asked in his native language, making (Y/n) grin softly. "Nej." (No.) She shook her head, kissing his cheek before walking off to get properly dressed. "Thank you (Y/n)." Lori embraced her after they'd all gotten properly dressed. "Of course." (Y/n) patted her back, and smiled softly as they broke away. "He's going to have it out for you now, you know?" Andrea pointed out as (Y/n) moved to walk beside Gunnar. "Doesn't matter, I've dealt with far worse." She shrugged before leaning into Gunnars side, while he wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "He has no idea who he's dealing with." Gunnar mused aloud, his words only making the others that much more curious about the pair. Once back at the camp, Gunnar led (Y/n) to the main fire, sitting down first then pulling her down to his lap. "Eat." He instructed as he passed her the MRE he'd prepared for her earlier, chili and macaroni. "What about you?" She questioned, taking note that he hadn't made two like he normally would.
"Just eat." He instructed before kissing the side of her head, more interested in taking care of her than himself at the moment. "Är de borta?" (Are they gone?) She wondered softly, knowing he wouldn't want the others to know what they were talking about, even though she doubted any of them spoke Swedish. "Nej." (No.) He rest his chin on the top of her head, his hands encasing her waist. "Okej." (Okay.) She accepted his answer, knowing better than most just how odd Gunnar can act at times, especially when he feels the need to protect her. So she did as he instructed, and ate the food, though only about half of it. "Here." She offered it to Gunnar, who glared down at her softly. "You need to eat as well big guy." (Y/n) pointed out, turning around in his lap as she stuck the spoon down into the bag. "Open." She instructed as she held the spoon out for him, he rolled his eyes playfully but complied anyways. Biting down hard enough to keep hold of the spoon when she tried to pull it back.
"Don't be like that." (Y/n) scolded playfully, giving the spoon another small tug, and smiling when it came lose. "Atta boy." She hummed softly, a giggle escaping her when Gunnar snatched the bag from her hands. Turning back around in his lap, (Y/n) reached for her bag, which lay beside Gunnars. She retrieved her precious leather bound journal, and charcoal pencil, then flipped to an empty page. "What are you up to?" Gunnar wondered as he watched her from over her shoulder. "The usual." She mused as she began drawing the sight before her. The warm fire, surrounded by some of the folks of this little survivor group. Lori, Carl, Shane, Andrea and Amy, Carol and Sophia, T-dog, Glenn, and Dale. They seemed happy in the moment, and (Y/n) wanted to commit this moment to memory. Who knows how long they'll stick around, or how long these people will survive. But tonight the world feels normal, calm and safe, and she didn't want to forget that feeling.

*I had thought about writing this one with Joel Miller, but ended up deciding that he's getting enough attention, and my baby Gunnar needed some so I went with him instead. (^_^) And it's admittedly playing out better that way anyhow.

hi I’m back again to ask about the down in the deep au
How’s Danny handling the whole deaged/transformation into sea Creature/melding/not having his full power set? Also how is he feeling about his new guardian figure(?)
Does he miss his human feet
Are you in my google docs lol?
He actually is more than a hint hysterical when he first realizes his legs are gone. And doesn't realize how 'small' he is at first or that he doesn't have his powers thanks to the fact he was already exhausted and such from his Wail and previous battle. Needless to say he does kind of panic when he realized that the few powers he has are limited AF.
He's actually kind of neutral towards Sebastian at first, but does end up warming up towards him. Er, it takes a tiny bit at first because he holds a grudge for carrying him everywhere, he's sure this place can't be more dangerous than other places he's been!
He's actually struggling with not having legs, seeing as the only time he's had a ghost tail, or any tail really, up until this point is in flight. And it didn't have a fin, so he's incredibly clumsy. (There are many swimming lessons in his future to help him get used to legless movement, along with a bit of hand-holding to his embarrassment)
So all in all, he could be handling it worse at the moment. Could be handling it better, but he could be handling it worse too.
#ask answered#down in the deep au#my art#pressure crossover#danny phantom crossover#roblox pressure#danny phantom#sebastian solace#danny fenton#de aged danny#Course this can change as I write more and the story develops but currently angst is more background#Yes Sebastian is having flashbacks to his own post-transformation just learning how to move time frames#As to why he's carrying Danny a lot- Danny even when he learns to move is still pretty slow & the Blacksite is Dangerous#Plus he doesn't want cameras or expendables to catch sight of him so staying near the scrambler it is#Which for those not aware is what the machine strapped to Sebastian's back is#But seriously if anyone wants another wip or drabble lemme know lol

On Sunday when I was on the train home (the one between St Erth and Reading) I modified the Only The Best playlist (you know the one with over 3000 songs) so there were more Bon Jovi songs on it (so I can keep You Give Love a Bad Name and Livin On A Prayer without them being out of place) and also to add the non-live version of New Perspective (Apple Music doesn’t list the album under Panic! at the Disco so I accidentally forgot to add it. I still had the live version in just because I discovered the song through its live version. That and the live demos from The Black Parade are the only songs I’m allowing to get past my “no live songs” rule) and made two new playlists - one called Death 2.0 consists of my previous Death playlist (all the songs from The Black Parade (including the B-Sides but not Blood or any of the demos) and Ride the Lightning) plus all the songs from British Steel (and I’ve now warmed up to Red White and Blue plus listened to Steeler a few more times. Three to be exact. I was surprised too but it’s actually a really cool song) and the other is called The best of all and it contains my favourite song from each of the 12 bands represented on Only The Best
Ranking the songs based on how much they belong in this playlist:
Definitely - New Perspective, Fight ‘Em ‘Til You Can’t, The Mob Rules (this is coming from someone who previously said Sabbath Bloody Sabbath was their favourite Black Sabbath song and today has listened to the original version, Anthrax’s cover and Bruce Dickinson and Godspeed’s cover about four times each without listening to The Mob Rules at all today. Unless singing it while walking around a tree in the park waiting for a friend to show up so we could grab lunch at the café counts (I’m so happy I have my appetite back. I managed a full pizza with the crusts. Last two times I went there I only managed two or three (out of six) slices and didn’t manage the crusts))
Literally been my favourite song at some point in time - Famous Last Words, Ride the Lightning, Breaking the Law (the day I got into Judas Priest I listened to BtL 15 and a half times. It’s a very good song)
I think there are multiple I couldn’t really choose between but these ones feel like they fit the best - Love From The Other Side (Novocaine?), Semi-Automatic (Migraine or Ode To Sleep?), New World Order (Elysian Fields?)
Same as above but the radio version exists so for that reason I’ll give it a bonus point - The Wicker Man
You know I might actually be able to fairly pick a favourite song from this band if I actually bothered to listen to more than three or four songs - Blood Red (okay I would love to get into really dark music but turned out Slayer was just a bit too dark for me. The other Slayer songs I’ve warmed up to are Mandatory Suicide, Expendable Youth and Chemical Warfare), You Give Love a Bad Name (yeah this one’s not really fair because I wasn’t really actively listening to Bon Jovi in the same way I was for everything else here. Megadeth on the other hand has had two chances (while everything else except Bon Jovi only got one). The other Bon Jovi songs I’ve warmed up to are Livin’ On A Prayer and Bad Medicine)
#MCR x P!atD x FOB x TØP x Metallica x Megadeth x Anthrax x Slayer x Judas Priest x Iron Maiden x Black Sabbath x Bon Jovi#there’s a crossover tag I didn’t expect#mcr#p!atd#fob#tøp#metallica#megadeth#anthrax#slayer#judas priest#iron maiden#black sabbath#bon jovi#I tried to spell both Mandatory and Expendable with “i”s instead of “a”s (Manditory and Expendible)

The Last of Us/Star Wars crossover I'm never going to write but am revolving in my brain anyway:
Joel was a Jedi Master with a young Padawan, Sarah, who died in Order 66. Joel survived, but went into hiding as the Empire steadily took over. He struggled with the temptation of the Dark Side for a while, filled with grief and guilt over his Padawan's death that he felt he should have been able to prevent, and hatred of the Empire for causing it. For several years, he lost his way, giving in to his anger and working as a smuggler/bounty hunter, killing indiscriminately and justifying it as what he had to do to survive.
Eventually, his friend/fellow smuggler(/pilot?) Tommy convinced him that if they kept going that way, they would end up dead--maybe partly because of a run-in with some Inquisitors who had noticed Joel's use of the Force? Tommy hated the Empire as much as Joel, so he decided he was going to join the Rebellion, which was in its early stages. Joel thought the Rebellion was doomed to failure, and there would be no point fighting a losing battle. So they parted ways, and Joel struck out on his own. But he cut himself off from the Force as completely as he could, not wanting to risk another confrontation with an Inquisitor, and tried to pass himself off as just a really, really skilled smuggler.
The story begins when Joel and Tess, his partner in crime, end up running into Marlene, who is with the Rebellion. She gets wounded, and makes a deal with them to take Ellie to some planet somewhere across the galaxy where there's a group of Rebels. I think Marlene knows that Joel used to be a Jedi, or at least has suspicions, so she has reason to trust that Joel can get the job done.
At first, Joel and Tess aren't sure what's so special about Ellie and why she so desperately needs to be kept out of Imperial clutches, but then when they're in some tight spot, Ellie uses the Force. Turns out she's Force-sensitive and has self-taught herself some basic things. Maybe it's just that the Rebellion are trying to protect Force-sensitive children, maybe they think that they'll be able to train her and she can give them an edge in their fight against the Empire, maybe she has a particularly high midichlorian count or something. But she's clearly more valuable and important than just being some Rebel leader's daughter or something.
For some reason, they can't just make the trip in a single jump. Maybe they don't have the exact coordinates to the hidden base or something? Maybe Joel's ship needs repairs? Anyway, along the way, they run into trouble with the Empire and Tess gets killed. So it's just Joel and Ellie now. As they make their way across the galaxy, running into the Empire here and getting into trouble with criminals there, the two grow closer and closer as a result of having to rely so much on each other. Ellie starts reminding Joel more and more of his old Padawan, Sarah--the same fire, the same drive, a similar spark of humor, a connection in the Force he never thought he'd feel with another being again. At some point, Ellie figures out that Joel used to be a Jedi, and she coaxes out bits and pieces of his story. For the first time in almost twenty years, he opens himself up little by little to the Force, and even begins to teach her a thing or two.
At one point they run into Tommy, who grew disillusioned with the Rebellion, saying they weren't actually getting anything done, and he's now become the mayor of some small settlement on a little planet in the Outer Rim. He offers to give Joel and Ellie a home there, but they choose to continue on to find the Rebellion.
At some point, Joel gets seriously wounded in a shootout, and Ellie has to take care of him and do all the flying and navigating. She runs across someone who seems at first like just an ordinary person trying to get by, but eventually it turns out that he's actually an informant for the Empire, and she gets captured. Joel comes to her rescue, despite his wounds, and they make it out by the skin of their teeth.
When they eventually find the Rebel base, they find out that they've located the plans for the Death Star on Scarif, and there's talk of sending Ellie with a team to retrieve them. The thought is that she can use the Force, so she'll have the best chance of getting them. But Joel doesn't like this plan, because he realizes that it's basically a suicide mission. I'm not sure when or how exactly Ellie gets knocked out, but she's not conscious when Jyn, Cassian, etc. set out to get the plans. Joel, meanwhile, takes Ellie to Tommy's settlement, telling her that they found someone else to do it.
Eventually, Ellie learns the truth that she could have helped the Rebellion take down the Death Star, and been an important part of the fight, but Joel chose to intervene to preserve her life instead. Ellie is really angry at first, and it takes a while, but they work out their differences eventually.
Aaaand that's where we're ending the AU, because the second game depresses me.
#the last of us#star wars#crossover headcanon#joel miller#ellie#i could have come up with more star wars-y names for the characters (like Jo-El or something) but didn't want to expend that much effort#(though i think jackson should be Jax-1 :P)#please someone write this for me because i want to read it but i have so many other stories on my plate T_T

ok but what if instead of D&D, they do a campaign more in the style of Call of Cthulhu?
That would immediately raise the stakes for obvious reasons.
Especially if the Justice League has no idea that dying is just being banished from story and go returning to "your everyday life".
Vlad: Would you like to form an alliance... with me?
Ghost writer: Absolutely. Absolutely, I do.
Now, Vlad should know better than to ally himself with someone who broke the Christmas truce, buuuut. The call for DnD is so tempting that he just had to do it.
He then dragged Daniel and his friends into it as well. Daniel dragged his sister along and then the Fenton parents found out and, well.
It suddenly became a thing.
Oh well, both Vlad and Ghost Writer sculpt up some lore from each of their character sheets, weave a world from words and then drag a random number of people to act as their 'players.'
It was supposed to be people from Amity Park, but there was a miscalculation on that part, and honestly you can't even blame them because they've been weaving nonstop and Vlad ignored quite a bit of sleep to try and make this perfect as he could.
So instead of civilians they dragged in a few members of the Justice League and, well.
As long as they play by the rules nothing would hopefully go wrong...?

A moment with Captain Price
Original main character x Captain Price, reader x Captain Price, fmc x Captain Price
A cod fanfic? Original main character insert? Fluff? Yes yes yes. Originally it was supposed to be a crossover between the expendables and the Task force 141 but hey I got carried away by Captain Price what can I say ;) be kind it's my first time writing something like that!
She goes by the callsign Shadow. No one knows where she is from, or how old she is. No one knows jackshit about her. She keeps her past where it belongs, in the past. She doesn’t care for the future, all she has in mind is surviving one moment after the next. She is one of the best mercenaries the guys have ever worked with, and they hold her in great respect. Maybe they fear her a bit too– there is something in her, something dark that only reveals itself in some rare moments. Sometimes when they need it the most. So they don’t mention it, the darkness they can see in her eyes, in the way she fights, in the coldness of her voice, the steadiness of her movement. She never falters, never backs down, never fails. Never misses a beat or a bullet. They don’t say anything because she’s saved their sorry asses more times than they could count and because she earned their trust. She is one of them, she is family. But every family member gets to keep his little secret garden. And there are things they don’t know about her.
They don’t know she never served in the army, but rather she was raised in violence and evolved in a violent lifestyle. That’s how she came to be one of the most feared mercenaries to ever exist. No one knows her name or full face except for the people she works with and the ones she’s killed over the years. But they all know her callsign and they fear it. Legs shaking with apprehension upon hearing it. Breathing ragged from despair, voice hoarse from crying for mercy. She is not known to be merciful. She is ruthless.
She was truly one of a kind, and Captain Price didn’t know if his team would have survived without her help. He had called her in for a another favor knowing she wouldn’t say no to him. She never did. Price didn’t really know what was it that drove her to work with him without asking any question other than practical ones. Even after years of working together and getting closer, he still wondered why she always answered when he called. It was almost as if she didn’t care about being paid or not for the help she was providing. Like she didn’t care about the mission, as long as she was working with him she would say yes. All she seemed to have in mind was the job that had to be done. But secretly she always said yes because it gave her an excuse to be close to the guys, and a captain in particular. She would never decline a call from him even if it was to kill people she didn’t know. And anyway she was used to it.
He glanced her way, half-hidden behind a tree, crouched, head low. She wasn’t moving an inch, like a stone statue but he knew she was observing her environment. Looking for threats everywhere. One short whistle echoed in the forest and she immediately turned her head toward him. He nodded once to her, while signaling to the guys to keep cover and wait. She departed quickly, moving fast but silently. He thought she was one with the shadows around her, sliding in between thorny bushes and trees like the shadow of a cloud passing in the sky. Her gear didn’t even make a sound, like everything in her was made for this life. For a life of battle, blood, sweat and death. It was a violent life she had not chosen, and she could quit any moment if she so desired. But he guessed it was so deep in the roots of her brain and in every fiber of her being that it was like a second nature. She couldn’t hide the ferocity that took hold of her when she was fighting. She grew up in a life of violences, so she became a woman living violently.
She disappeared behind the hill, her feet gliding in the dirt so easily she was almost flying to the bottom, pebbles of stones and rocks following after her. She hung her rifle on her back and got a hold of the knives at her waist. Moving swiftly she went effortlessly and crossed the short distance to the old crumpled building and entered smoothly. A stench of mold and dust took a hold of her lungs but she didn’t stop, her steps steady. Every single movement was calculated. Deadly to her enemies. The guys listened carefully over the open coms, waiting for her to signal they could come in. Or listening for any sign of trouble, any sign she might need help. Price shook his head slightly, a small smile tugging at his lips. When did she ever need help?
They heard some sounds in the distance; a few grunts and the woosh motion of blades being unsheathed and thrown, hitting the target. The deep but soft sound of corpses falling to the concrete floor. And then chaos. A man cried, whether from pain or to alert his companions of her presence in the compound. Price didn’t have the time to think about it. The cry was muffled quickly. The distinctive cracks of knuckles and bones reverberated through the coms but she never said a word. Was it her bones cracking like that? Did she shatter the man's skull to shut him up? The guys could only wait and try to guess what was happening inside the building. After a few long minutes spent in the expectative Captain Price gave the signal. They all departed silently, moving fast and low toward the building. He couldn’t wait any longer for her to give them the green light. His mind kept playing little horrifying movies in his head, worst case scenarios of what could happen one day on a job. One of them could never come back, could not make it out alive. And he knew if it was her, that he wouldn’t survive the loss. But she never gave him reason to panic, except maybe at the beginning when she didn’t know them well and would play by her own rules, not giving a shit about the team. She would not communicate over the comms, which drove Price mad with anger and frustration. Eventually, one day after a mission he took her to his office and told her to stop acting like she was alone. It made the guys in the team feeling uneasy, almost on the edge, and she promised to get better at it. And she kept her promise, each new mission she would improve and would be better at working in a team, and Price knew it was a big effort she was doing for them– for him. He knew she had spent most of her life by herself, fighting the harsh world that wanted to hurt her ever since her birth. He knew it was hard for her to trust them, and for that he was eternally grateful she did.
No one in the team asked why they kept the channel of the comms open when she was working with them. Only the two of them knew the reason and if the team didn’t mind, or at least didn’t show it, and didn’t ask about it, they would keep it like that.
Upon entering they saw the scene worth it of a horror movie set. Bodies were scattered across the whole area, smears of blood on the walls and even a tooth somewhere on the ground. Suddenly a man screamed in fear and crashed violently in front of the guys. Silence followed heavily. He had been thrown over the railing of the upper level. Shadow jumped over the old unsteady staircase and landed near the body. Upon getting back up she noticed the team had entered the building. She dusted herself off while informing them the target wasn’t there.
“How? Our intel was very specific.” Gaz said.
“Who’s your intel?” she asked, walking over the multiple dead bodies, meticulously watching every single one of them in search of a piece of information. Only her eyes were visible, a black cloth hiding the lower part of her face, eyebrows furrowed. The sunglasses she wore outside hung in one of the pockets of her kevlar jacket.
She rarely took the mask off during a mission with them, but when it was just her and Price in his office talking about mission debriefs and how life had been since they last saw each other, when they were secretly catching up all these months spent far away, only then she allowed her paranoid mind some rest and took it off. It had been hard at first to trust the guys, to trust the Captain, but they grew on her over the years and Price also earned her respect. He had helped her when she had most needed a friend in her life, when she had been left alone wounded, betrayed, and he had never let her down ever since.
So for that she thought he deserved to know who he was working with, who he was holding when the nightmares took over her mind and she woke up in a start, her t-shirt sweaty and her hand clutching at the beddings. Him rushing to her side in an instant whenever he was close enough to hear her thrashing around in her sleep or see her form in the night. Everytime she was asleep, Price made it a point to stay awake and make sure she was alright. He made sure she didn’t scream every time a nightmare was plaguing her mind, soothing her softly, trying his best because they needed to remain ghosts when on missions and if her scream of agony in the middle of the night attracted the enemy he would never forgive himself. He already knew what the team was thinking, they pitied her and somehow understood what she was going through; because who goes to war and comes back unscathed? If anything, knowing that she had feelings and that her actions haunted her in her sleep made them appreciate her more, making her appear more human rather than the cold hearted killer facade she wore during her waking moments. Price wanted for her to find peace and to cast the demons away, but he knew damn well it was easier said than done, and never would he blame her for that.
After some time he started to stay entirely by her side at night, waiting for her to fall asleep, watchful eyes observing the rise and fall of her chest, her features that seemed a tad more relaxed when he was around. He thought his mind was playing tricks on him, that he imagined everything. And the more he stayed by her side in the night, the more difficult it became to ignore the glances his brothers were throwing discreetly at him in the morning.
She felt something she had never felt before around him. She felt safe enough to drop the guard a little. But only a little, because she knew far too well that you can never know what will happen next. And yet she allowed her body and mind to rest when he would lay beside her in bed, watching her fall asleep as she was listening to his own breathing– like a lullaby.
“It’s confidential.” Captain Price’s voice came low and grave. She looked up at him from the corpses scattered in the hall, not a single emotion crossing her features. But she kept her eyes trained on Price’s face for a long moment. He knew it wasn’t a good idea to keep things from her. But Laswell hadn’t told Price the name of their intel, so he assumed it must be one of Laswell’s own spies and hadn’t felt the need to inform them he had no idea who gave the information leading up to this moment in the middle of fucking nowhere. He knew that Shadow would not have agreed on letting them go. Hell she probably would've gone to Laswell to demand more information before departing.
She only let out a small sigh before turning to leave the building, the guys on her heels. No one said a word on the way back to their vehicle and back to the safe house. She kept her thoughts to herself as they all sat in the cramped space, their gears and arsenal taking more space than themselves. Her head hung low, eyes focused far, lost somewhere between here and there. Her mind navigating a raging sea of spiraling thoughts. She was hesitating between going back with the guys and trying to talk to Price alone, or leaving them before they reached the nearest town. She memorised they had passed a small village, outside of the one where they had their safe house located. She wanted to stay a bit longer with the guys, with Price. So against her better judgment she stayed with them the whole ride. Once they arrived at their safe house they all headed somewhere, busy with their duties of cleaning guns, making food and studying maps of the area. It was an old house big enough to welcome the team and with enough bedrooms for each of them. But she could see through it. It was still a military based safe house with the minimum comfort but the maximum capacity for guns and devices they might need during the mission. Not a luxurious palace but still a place where to shower and lay down comfortably.
She silently followed Price to the room that operated as an office. There she closed the door behind her as he dropped his hat on the cluttered desk over blueprints and satellite maps. An empty bottle of scotch laid open on one corner. A glass stained with use had fallen on the carpeted floor. The captain rubbed his face with his hands and leaned back on the side of the desk. She took off her kevlar jacket and let it drop to the floor, her back pressed against the door, taking a deep breath almost like a yawn she had held inside since the moment she woke up that morning.
She studied the man in front of her. It was not the John she was used to. He was different from the last time she had seen him. He looked more tired like life had taken a liking to biting his ass a little too often. Had he lost weight since the last time? She was lost in her thoughts and didn’t realize that he was staring back at her. Studying her form. Eyes scanning her scarred and tattooed arms and going back to her eyes. She realised then that she had kept her mask on her face and removed it with a sigh of contempt. They both inhaled and exhaled in sync, like they were one.
“Listen, Dawn I..” Price started saying but he didn’t have the rest of the sentence quite formed in his mind just yet. He waited for his brain to function, his mouth slightly agape. He closed it when nothing else came out but a frustrated sigh.
At the mention of her name, she snapped back to reality and stopped contemplating him. He was the only one to know her real name, and even he was doubting she ever gave him her real name. Why would she? He only used it in private settings, when it was just the two of them and he was sure no one was listening.
She frowned.
“Why not share all you know about the mission, John? What are you hiding?” She used his name just like he had used hers, to reinforce her question and make sure he understood she wasn’t pleased with the secrets he was keeping from her and the guys.
“I am not hiding anything. I was just not given all the bits.” He shifted slightly and sighed again, his voice low and slow like he was defeated already. The tension in the room made him uncomfortable and she could feel it, the tension radiating from his body even this far. He was more than tired, she realised. What had happened while she was away?
“Should I believe that?” She took a step forward, leaving the door behind her, crossing her arms over her chest, her facial expression unreadable like always when she was Shadow. He was tempted to tell her to drop it, that he knew she didn’t want to come off as hard and heartless but it was a requirement her life had made of her a long time ago. And sometimes it took a bit longer for her to drop the act.
Price looked at her, worry written all over his face. He didn’t want to upset her. Didn’t want to see her leave and never come back. He knew she could trust him, but she knew it too?
“Have I ever lied to you?” he asked in earnest, standing from the desk and fully facing her.
She took another step.
“I don't know. You tell me, have you ever lied to me, John?”
His name again. His breathing missed a beat and he tried to keep his composure. He loved the sound of his name on her lips. It always sounded prettier when she was the one saying it. They kept their gaze level, as if staring into each other’s soul. Stuck in a staring contest that he knew he would not win. He never had and probably never will.
“I’ve never lied to you.” His voice was just above a whisper, his brow so furrowed it made the little lines at the corners of his eyes appear. She noticed them because usually they only showed up when he was smiling or laughing. She liked to see these markers of time passing and joy filling his heart. It had been one of the things to make her fall for him. Every little detail about him, every little thing she noticed she’d store away in her mind like a precious treasure. And everytime she visualised him in her mind’s eye it made her heart beat faster and she was certain she was falling a little bit more each time she saw him. Each time he smiled at her or said her name. Her real name, not her callsign. It also made it harder to keep her mind from straying a dangerous path she swore herself she’d never take.
She continued to walk slowly toward him, arms still crossed. He didn’t like that. He wanted to grab her arms and hold her tight against him and never let go. Crossed arms with her could mean a whole bunch of different things and sometimes he had a hard time trying to decipher the emotions or the thoughts she could be having behind her dark eyes.
She had closed the distance now, standing so close to him she could almost feel his breath on her face. Slowly he raised his hands and took hold of her arms, uncrossing them and holding them. She let him do it without a word. Because it was him? Would she have let anyone touch her? Price’s mind was still wondering if she genuinely enjoyed his company or if she was being polite. He had often wondered, at night when sleep was evading him, if she said yes to every job he offered her as a repayment for the day he saved her life. They never talked about that day. He knew it was a sensitive topic and she would shut down from him and go back to her own life somewhere on the globe until he called her a few months later for a new job. And she would act like nothing happened. And even then he was never certain she would show up, despite her showing up for every single one of them mission so far. She had never turned one of his offers down, and somewhere far in his mind he knew it wasn’t because of the pay he was giving her.
They hadn’t been in contact for so long, both of them always on a job, never in the same country or continent at the same time. Obeying orders coming from the top. It had been a year since they had seen each other, spoken to each other. It wasn’t usually that long but sometimes it came close to it. And he didn’t know if he wanted to sink to the ground in her arms and let all the frustration out with tears while letting her hold him carefully. Or if he wanted to leave everything behind and flee somewhere far away with her. They could disappear, become ghosts, but he suspected she was already a ghost of her own. And he couldn’t abandon his men. They were his brothers and he needed to take care of them. He just wished he could take care of her too.
“John,” she said it so softly it made him close his eyes, luring him to sleep like a lullaby. Like the voice of a siren and he was a lovesick boy lost at sea resisting the urge to answer to the call of madness, of love. She ran a hand over the skin of his arms, from his wrist and trailing up to his shoulders, settling her hands on his neck. She gently cupped his jaw and tilted his face toward her, eye gaze always on him. She was so close it was like a dream after so long apart, and the feels of her hand on his skin gave him goosebumps. His cheeks reddened at the realisation and she softly smiled.
“I have never lied to you, love.” He said, his accent thick and his voice rough, laced with exhaustion and concern. He had barely moved his lips, almost whispering to her. He would say anything to keep her here in his arms. Anything she wanted to hear from him.
She slowly closed the gap, leaning toward him, seeking his warmth. Inhaling his scent she liked so much- and Oh! how she had missed it. It made her smile in a cheesy way, round blushy cheeks, eyes almost closed in a haze of her brain. She brushed her lips to his soft ones. They moved so gently, as if scared of damaging each other, hovering like bees above flowers. The pain from her split lip didn’t stop her from going forward a bit more and pressing a gentle kiss to his full lips. He let go of her arms and placed his hands on her jaw, cupping her face and stroking a cheek with his thumb. Slowly he leaned back, sitting himself on the edge of the desk and crossed his ankles behind her legs, trapping her between his thighs. One of his hands found its way to her waist, holding onto her like a drowning man at sea, like she was his beacon in the storm. And maybe she was. But she also made his mind a haze, numb from the world outside and somehow he was thankful for it. All he could hear was their breathing in sync and all he could feel was her lips and hands on him.
He never wanted it to stop.

Lobotomy Corporation characters as Different Yuu’s
Before we start I would like to tell you spoilers for Twisted wonderland and Lobotomy corporation, as well as most of projects moon’s world as a whole. As long as you are ok with these series being spoiled
I will try using gender neutral terms. EXCEPT for the Tiphereths, since the two are already confusing enough.
TW: self deprecating thoughts, self harm, subsistence abuse, manipulation, body horror, suicide.
Some i bits about this crossover before we start:
Yuu never Overblots but does end up doing something similar. They “meltdown”. What this means is Yuu ends up going through an emotional breakdown, Just like an overblot dose. Yet instead of blot being both a cause and result of the breakdown. Yuu’s goals become the center of their being. It makes them “meltdown”. To summarize though Yuu basically overblots without the blot. For the sake of twisted wonderland, and to not have the most body horror possible. “Meltdowns” forma around a person's body. Overblot seeps into a person’s body. Also all the Sephirah are part corpse, part robot to make it easier for twist. As well as more horrifying.
For twisted wonderland nothing really has changed other than instead of the normal magic-less Yuu we have a dystopian half robot.
Malkuth\Elijah Yuu:
“Everyone get down!” “We can do this!” “don't be a burden.” “Please watch me everyone! I can take care of this situation, no problem!”
Yuu was not particularly good at anything yet was very determined to get stuff done. Even though they are very forgetful. Yuu always holds a notebook that seems seconds from falling apart. That has all the things they have to do. (i.e. in book two Yuu would have “investigate the actstudents students have been getting.” would be written down.)
Yuu tends to get themself into situations that they can't handle all by themself. They would jump into overbot fights head first. Confronting the house wardens all by themself. Yuu always has to be dragged out of these situations by other people.
Yuu’s second character flaw is that they trust that anyone, but themself can do anything they put their mind to. Witch is good for others but it can hurt Yuu’s own willingness to jump into a situton.
Yuu wants to be useful more than anything. It’s why they go into things head first. It’s why, when people call them a burden for not having magic it hurts so much. At least in L corp it was because of their own flaws. Yet now in twisted wonderland it’s because of something they can't change. This flaw is the one that causes yuu to have a “meltdown”.
“This is what you call a truly uncontrollable situation.” Everything is a mess. Yuu’s notebook is torn in the tangle of their vines. “Make sure you feel this horrible sense of helplessness to your core, right to your heart.” ah yes Yuu’s desire to show everyone they can handle a situation on their own. It only scares everyone. “Please watch me everyone! I can take care of this situation, no problem!” Yuu ignores that this situation is caused by them so there's no way that can help. This is also when it is revealed that Yuu sees people as expendable. Yuu’s meltdown must be overcome by showing Yuu that they are not useless. Whether it’s everyone saying how much they need Yuu (the less likely option), or it’s showing Yuu that they just kicked everyone's asses. Yuu in their meltdown form has the ability to disorient and “change” actions (trying to move your left foot wound ends in you moving your right arm.)
After Yuu's meltdown, and that Yuu’s second flaw was an act to hide her dismissal of others' well-being. The worst part of it all is Yuu is not that good at anything in particular. Relationships are strained, and words are thrown. Yet Yuu realize it’s ok to rely on others, and that it’s ok to not be good at everything.
Gabral/Yesod:
“*sigh* Your uniform is disorderly.” “how I’m dressed, that is nothing for you to worry about.” “You all are irritating.” “Hey, don't rush in head first!” “Do you not see my marred, rotting flesh, covered in boils and oozing with pus?!”
Yuu is a bit cold. Seeing things ratonaly most of the time. They tend to disregard other feelings without knowing it. These traits make them a very efficient worker, with the downside of being a bit disconnected from other people.
Yuu likes order in their life. Messy uniforms, un-stacked books, Paper strewn across the floors. These are the stuff of Yuu’s nightmares. Yuu likes a tidy work environment. You know that moment in twisted wonderland where Riddle fixed Yuu’s tie. Yuu fixes everyone's ties all the time.
Yuu does care about his friends. He cares about their safety. He may not show it all the time, but Ace and Deuce mean a lot to yuu. Yuu’s just stressed most of the time. Ace and Deuce help Yuu calm down. The two help Yuu have fun in this new stressful world.
The way Yuu dresses is odd. They cover their entire body with the exception of their head. You see, Yuu is a germaphobe. Yuu fears chemical spills most of all. Potions is Yuu’s least favorite subject, not because Yuu’s bad at Potions. It’s because of all the ingredients and chemicals. Yet this is not all. You see Yuu suffers form hallucinations. They think their boys are covered in boils and their flesh is rotting whenever they look at their bare skin. They know this is fake, that they are just hallucinations. Yet Yuu is still affected seeing their skin like that.
Yuu scratches at any part of their body that is exposed. So it’s not uncommon to see red marks on Yuu’s face. Vil has tried so many times to get Yuu to stop this habit, but the route of this problem lies in Yuu’s germaphobia. After a while Vil gave up on his endeavor.
Yuu’s meltdown is activated when he is pushed to his limit. Whether it’s the stress of the new world getting to him, or someone spills something dangerous on him, increasing his own stress. Yuu goes from adverse to being touched, to “Get the hell away from me!” (bonus points if it’s blot that gets spilt on him.)
“Did you not see my marred, rotting flesh, covered in boils and oozing with pus?” Yuu’s body becomes a mass of rotting flesh with the black fabric he wears branching upwards is just utterly revolting to look at. “This impenetrable darkness is inexplicably lonely.” Yes, Yuu is alone, utterly and inexplicably alone. On the other hand if this is caused by the stress Crowley puts on Yuu “you are unfit to be the head master if you cannot even remember the simplest rules.”. The way to fix this is to pull Yuu out of his gross rotting body. This in turn pulls Yuu out of his emotional breakdown. The thing that inhibits people from accomplishing these tasks. Everyone's sight is altered. Static fills their sight, and everything becomes more saturated. It makes Yuu’s meltdown even more gross.
Yuu comes clean about the fact that not only is there germophobia from their past life. They also say that the reason for that is because of a horrible inhuman thing that happened to one of his friends. Admitting that he needs more time for himself. Still he tells Crowley off and asking for proper payment for all teh work they did.
Michelle/Hod:
“I want to help you!” “Come on, I know you can do this!” “you got this in the bag!” “WHY DOESN'T ANYONE UNDERSTAND MY KINDNESS!”
Yuu is helpful or at least they try to be. Yuu wants everyone to be happy. If anyone needs help they are the first person to ask. Yuu does often get taken advantage of because of this. That doesn't mean that Yuu is a pushover though. Yuu helps because they want to help.
Yuu can be a bit overbearing sometimes. Often asking people if they are ok. They want everyone to get better. Especially those who had overbloted. letting everyone get their troubles and worries off their chest. Yuu wanted everyone to be ok
Yuu can be overly positive. “At least it’s not that bad.” “look on the bright side.” are things said often by Yuu. Yuu is also extremely optimistic. Looking on the bright side of every situation. Yuu also tries their best to get people to open up. Or trys to see the good in everyone. (TLDR: you thought that Kalim was optimistic? Welcome Yuu who refuses to see bad in people.)
Yuu has been described as delusional by many students. Most students at Night Raven College are all self serving. Yuu on the other other hand, people question if Yuu lived in a paradise before (oh you poor fools). Just where does all that kindness come from?
Yuu is a perfect example of toxic positivity. Yuu pushes all of their suspicions and dark thoughts back. Yet too many people start complaining about Yuu pulling the wool over their own eyes. As they did with Kalim. Yuu has there meltdown, because Yuu also don't think they are nice. Yuu thinks all their kindness is a facade.
“It’s all thanks to me that everyone could survive so long, but does anyone ever thank me? No, no one does…” Yuu reveals their true nature. “you all are suffering! See? Things just don’t work out without me here!” a pitiful nature indeed. “You all would be dead where you stand without me! Every single one of you!” yet all true comments. “You all are scum! How could you do this to me!” Yuu throws all of the thoughts they kept secret. All of what they wanted to say. The only way to stop this Yuu is to try to survive as long as possible. Eventually Yuu will tire themselves out. you can try to pull them out of there Melt down then. Not to say it would be easy since this meltdown makes everyone weaker in all aspects, including magic.
After they melt down Yuu realizes that they have some unresolved issues with their past. While coming to terms with their feelings. Yuu dose end up showing a more genuine form a kindness since most of their kind action are because of something they did to hurt a lot of people in the past
Giovanni/Netzach:
“What's the point?” “I don't care, what does that have to do with me?” “I’ll get it done… eventually.” “All I want is to close my eyes and enjoy a good nap, just once.”
Yuu is Lazy! So lazy in fact that it’s no longer procrastination, it's just not doing the work. The only time Crowley can get Yuu to do something he needs to get them… you know what Crowley pleads the fifth. Let's just say Crowley gave Yuu proper “motivation”. No it was not Crowley’s idea. Yet they work well with motivation.
If the need for motivation was not proof enough. Yuu is highly unmotivated to do anything. It’s a struggle to get out of bed for Yuu since Yuu has not motivation to get up. Yes, Yuu is depressed. There's nothing Yuu can change so why bother? Yuu doesn't even realize all of the good he’s done to help others.
Yuu is sleeping all the time. Yet not in random spots like silver, or in carefully chosen ones like Leona. Yuu sleeps in class, offices, or just forgoes school altogether to just sleep in the dorm all day. Sometimes students have betting pools for how long Yuu will stay in Ramshackle dorm.
Yuu seems off? Whether it’s the way they always stumble, or the brutal honesty they give. It’s almost like Yuu isn't themself. That is because Yuu is either high, or drunk. This is actually most of the time when they are awake. Why suffer sober when you can suffer while drunk, at least you have an excuse to be miserable.
The way Yuu ends up having their meltdown is simple. The other students find out they have been drinking, and doing drugs. This is not someone connecting dots in the hallway as well. The students checked up on Yuu after they hadn't been to class for the past week. Only to see Yuu laying in their own vomit glossy eyed. When seeing the other students panic form them Yuu attempts to kill themself after the students freak out. Only to fail since Yuu needs permission to die from a person in their world.
This meltdown is the manifestation of Yuu’s desire to die. “Why must I wake up and do all the garbage I hate every single day?” Yes there is no point to keep on living, and if the students of NRC dont think fast Yuu’s melt down will kill Yuu even without permission. “Why do you want to continue prolonging these undesired lives? What’d you expect to see at the end of all this?” oh Yuu is aware of the fact they are not the only one in NRC who has these feelings as well. “I never wanted to be in this position anyways. I never asked for this. Not once.” Yuu never wanted to even help anyone so why do they care so much if they destroy themselves? The only way to help Yuu is to try to snap then out of there melt down. Whether it’s trying to break there hard as a rock shell, or trying to reason with Yuu. Yet that's difficult when Yuu’s effect is to intoxicate everyone around them. With the extra that no one can heal with magic as well.
Yuu they come to a realization that can't die without the manager's permission Yuu. So Yuu decided if they cant die, why not just try to live for a bit? Why not have hope for the future.
Lesa & Enoch/Tiphereth
“What makes a person a person?/Yuu! You know thinking like that will get us no were!” “hey Idia can you fix me?/ WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!” “We are two, but one. Do you know what this means?”
Ok so there are two Yuus. Enoch is Yuu1 Lesa id Yuu2. I will be using He/HIm pronouns for Yuu1, and she/her for Yuu2. This is how they will be referred to from now on. As stated before there are two yuu they look almost identical if only that Yuu 1 has short hair, while Yuu2 has long hair. Both are “Yuu” and both will answer to “Yuu”. This gets very confusing as well because the two spend all of their time together. The two also look like kids about 12 years of age
Yuu1 is the more unstable of the two. He often thinks about why he exists and what it means. Before Yuu1 would be “reset”. Yet Yuu1 one is the nicer of the two Yuu’s he’s ok to be around as long as you're ok with Yuu1’s existential crisis. He is the more popular of the two. people just like Yuu1 more than Yuu2.
Yuu2 is the one of the two who actually gets things done. Yuu2 has decent grades, and is the one who quells the overblots. As such Yuu2 has more friends than Yuu1. Yuu2 is a bit bratty, but extremely efficient. Yuu2 actually relies on Yuu1 for mental support as well. Most of the cast of twisted wonderland likes Yuu2 more than Yuu1. even though Yuu1 is the more popular of the two.
Yuu1 went to Idia to be fixed or “reset”. Only for Idia to realize that Yuu1 is in fact a robot. Yet when Idia does find a way to open Yuu1 he is horrified to see Yuu1 isn't just a robot he’s part robot. Idia faints right then and there. After Yuu isn't fixed and Idia locks himself in his own room because of what he saw. Yuu1 then out of instability, his past memories, and guilt. Meltdown with Yuu two since she relies on Yuu1 on for support
“This song, Tiphereth’s dirge, it’s for him… Tiphereth.” Yuu2 melting down over Yuu1 being the base of the two’s meltdown. “When he returns, could you show Tiphereth how I’ve grown? Will you show him how strong I am now…?” Yuu2 the best way to describe how they're acting is Delusional. “Don’t stand there looking at me like that, with your forlorn smile. I’ve already abandoned you…” Yuu2 has abandoned all of her friends. Hating Idia the most. Since Idia was the person that made Yuu1 kill himself. The way to save Yuu is to get close enough to Yuu2 and tell her everything will be ok. That Yuu1 is in a better place. Yet the thing preventing anyone from getting close to Yuu2. is that Yuu2 has two metal arms and she’s swinging them haphazardly, and that everyone is weaker then normal.
After the meltdown Yuu now only consists of Yuu2. Yuu comes to terms that Yuu1 wanted to die. So Yuu lets go of her hostility towards Idia. Yuu then grows closer to everyone.
Kali/Gebura
“Eh what is it?” “I got this stay behind me.” “You know nothing about me.” “Do you really think feeble cowards like you can stop me?”
Yuu is strong so strong in fact Yuu takes care of all the overblots alone. Many students look up to Yuu. so much so that Yuu has a fan club. Yuu’s also received a few confessions, Yuu did in fact turn all of these down.
Yuu is very aggressive. Any threat is swiftly taken care of. Any funny looks given, Yuu would give a good punch in return. Overbolts are beatton with extreme prejudice. Anyone who doesn't share Yuu’s views receives harsh words.
Yuu has always been mysterious. Any questions about their worlds would be pushed off. Yuu is also extremely scary due to her extremely hostile attitude. Which causes Yuu to be very socially distant.
Yuu’s meltdown happens right after Malleus’s overblot. Yuu realizes that this school is flawed. That these “rare” overblots are just going to keep happening at this school. That this school will never help people change. That there was no character development. That everyone will stay as scum. These revelations give Yuu the excuse they needed to destroy this school.
“I’m back; the Red Mist has walked out from a sea of pain. I’m no longer weak like I used to be; I can replace any body part even if it gets cut off, and I can be repaired even if I’m broken.” Yuu spoke with no concern for others, the only thing left is to destroy the school.. “Hatred is a poison that eviscerates me, and yet it makes me open my eyes once more.” Yuu can not be resonated with. “Some things just wouldn’t cool down, no matter how long they were left in the cold.” Yuu can only be described in that moment as a monster of pure rage. Yet pure rage is messy, the only way to beat Yuu is to beat Yuu in combat. You are wondering what power this Yuu has? Right Yuu’s power is being extremely powerful.
Yet somehow the students of NRC did it. They stopped Yuu. Yuu gained the memories of a past life they had forgotten. One of The Red Mist. The Red Mist was a hero of the downtrodden. Yuu becomes more compassionate after there melt down. They smile more and start helping with the little things whether it’s dragging Ace and Deuce out of trouble, or helping clean the classroom Yuu is now happy to help.
Daniel/Chesed
“Hm, you need help with school work? Sure I’ll help.” “Everyone stay calm, we can get through this.” “Would you like a cup of coffee?” “I envy you all, you can conveniently forget your moments most filled with shame.”
Yuu is a calm and collected individual. Who can stay focused in any situation. An overbolt is happening? Yuu calmly gives out orders. Each order is calculated to keep both sides safe in this conflict. No one will get hurt under Yuu’s Guidance.
Yuu is a very smart individual excelling in all classes. It’s a shame such a bright student doesn't have any magic. Yuu could have been a really powerful mage had they been born with magic. Even still Yuu offers to tutor other students. A student who was failing last week is now a straight A student.
Yet amidst all of this, all the good traits Yuu has. Yuu is at their core a coward. Don't get me wrong, they're still willing to fight the overblot’s. It’s just Yuu will fight them from a safe distance. Yuu wouldn't even have gotten themselves in this situation had it not been for Crowley threatening, bribing, and manipulating Yuu into doing these things.
When Yuu melts down it’s calmer then others, Yuu is tired. Tired of being used and forced to do things against their will. Yuu decides that this will be their little rebellion. Yuu decided to give Crowley a little taste of helplessness.
“My my, I’m feeling very moody today~” Yuu is very aware of what they are doing. This isn't such they chose not to be reasoned with. After all, what is rebellon with without a will to back it up? “Pour that lukewarm coffee down the drain, I’ll need another cup.” this is the very same Yuu who’s been the pivotal factor in all of the overblot fights, and now that intelligence is against everyone. “Each time Crowley shows up, I shall commit sin according to his orders… And I see no fig leaf here to cover my shame.” this was it all of Yuu’s anger was targeted to Crowley, just them and the rain. So it stands to reason the way to stop Yuu’s meltdown is to make Crowley regret all his actions. Yuu’s ability is to induce mental stress in a person, a very dangerous power since it can cause an overblot.
After Crowley finally came clean about everything he’s done to Yuu. every single student loses their trust in Crowley. The only student to reach a hand out to Crowley. “I know what you're feeling. Come with me Crowley let us both go on this journey to become one of Those who are faithful and trustworthy.” Yuu said a coffee cup in their other hand.
Garion/Binah:
“What is it now?” “Would you like to have tea with me?” “ah the sound of agony. Such a beautiful sound.” “Ah, this brings me back to my senses.”
Yuu is a very quiet person, only talking when necessary. Yet Yuu speaks quite eloquently. When asked about themself Yuu turns the question around. After the other person answers Yuu nods and walks away. So practically nothing is known about them.
Yuu doesn't resort to violence often, but when they do… let’s just say when Riddle overbloted Yuu took him on all by themself, and neary killed Riddle. Yuu had to be restrained by every other student to prevent Riddle’s death. Yuu’s strength only brought up more questions about them, and no answers.
Yuu can been seen having tea whenever they have free time. Yuu always drinks black tea. When someone stumbles onto Yuu’s tea time there's always another teacup conveniently placed beside them. The first person to have tea with them actually got an answer to the question they asked. “So uh what did you do before coming here?” Yuu opened one of their eyes. “Extraction.” after that Yuu ran out of tea and left the student with more questions than answers.
Yuu’s meltdown couldn't even be classified as such. Yuu’s so calm before and during it. Simply saying that the school is a dark place they wish no longer existed, and Melting down because of that.
“Now… can you stop me on your own two feet, with your own power?” Good luck NRC. Yuu is what is called an Arbiter, or in layman's terms the equivalent to a nuclear bomb. No one in NCR is ready to deal with something like that. “If only I knew what power this place held, we could have acquired it for us to use.” Yes, Yuu is in fact very sane and very aware of what they are doing. But unlike anyone else there both aware and calm. “What do you think you will accomplish on your own, even after Finishing this School?” Yuu also hates this school, and what it does to people. Yuu hates how this school treats the students they got along with. Only for the fact that those students had changed after each Overblot. Yuu doesn't get how some changed for the better, it’s annoying that Yuu had to change the way they acted around them. The only hope these students have is to show Yuu that change is ok. That change can bring good. The only thing preventing these students from telling Yuu that, is the fact that Yuu is even stronger then Gebra. So strong in the past Yuu took Gebra eye and arm, don't worry Yuu gave the arm back.
Nothing really changes after Yuu’s melt down. Only that Yuu now wont destroy the school, and their tea spot has changed to an easier to find place.
Benjamin/Hokma:
“What do you need now?” “Kids these days.” “I won't fall for that, I’m a lot smarter than you think I am.” “I must get back to my loved ones.”
Yuu is old, at least Yuu looks on the older side. Especially when Yuu tends to refer to themself as, “just an old man.” or “this old man.” (man is used as a gender neutral term.) with the fact that Yuu does have crow feet, and white hair makes for a very compelling argument. Yet whenever anyone but Yuu calls them an “Old man” Yuu looks disappointed in them. closing his pocket watch Yu ends up scolding whoever said it.
Yuu is very determined to get back to their world, and since Yuu is too old to be a student they work as the school's librarian. Sorting, reading, and keeping records of the books in Night Raven College. Yuu seems to excel in keeping records actually. When asked Yuu just reply with a: “oh my job has mee keeping records.” while cleaning their monocle.
Yuu is very calm in any sort of situation. Even fighting alongside the students of NRC while Overblot’s happen. They are a very skilled tactician, so skilled in fact that some have asked for lessons from Yuu. Yuu denies their requests every single time.
Yet all good things must come to an end. After a year in twisted wonderland Yuu stops being “nice” Yuu is still as cutouts as always. Just less tolerant of the troubles some of the students make. It’s when a student makes a particularly big mess when Yuu snaps at them. “How could you be so reckless- *yata yata*.” and after Yuu finds Crowley NOT finding a way for Yuu to get back home. Yuu has a melt down.
“I just wish to go back and stay with him, everyone, and all that we have left in this eternal moment.” there are people Yuu miss. There's one Yuu missed the most as well. Teh “HIM” Yuu often talks about. “No, I do not wish to change. I do not want to forget it all. Please, let me just go back.” Yuu’s not going to budge on this. it’s clear Yuu dosen't like it here. That the “nice” Yuu everyone knows is just a facade. “Please do not let time flow meaninglessly.” It’s all the more annoying that everyone is so disorganized in their attacks. The only way to stop Yuu’s Meltdown is to give them the promise. The promise of finding a way back. Finding something that works, and making good on that promise. Yet first they have to get close enough to talk to Yuu, and the fact Yuu is manipulating Time itself is making everything very hard to do.
After getting through to Yuu. Crowley is now overseen by Yuu on the research to bring Yuu back to their world. Yuu has started reading more “forbidden” books as well. Really everyone is concerned for Yuu. but Yuu has to get back, for A’s sake. For his own sake.
Impotint!:
From now on the next two Yuus don't have Meltdowns like the others. Their meltdowns are purely emotional breakdowns. Since the next two were not robots in Lobotomy corporation. That's not to say they're JUST in a human emotional breakdown. There's still a bit more involved
Ayin/X/Abel/Abram/Adam:
“What?” “I need to get back.” “Leave me alone.” “I miss her.”
Yuu is a very hard person to get along with. The reason being Yuu just don't get other people's feelings. This has gotten them in trouble more than once. If you want at totally neutral view on a situation Yuu will give you one. Even if you're their best friend. Yuu is only concerned with results.
Yuu wants to get back to their world. Their reason for existing is back in their worlds. Yuu also needs to fish the script. So consequences be damned, Yuu will in fact use everyone to further their goal. Not caring what happens in the process. If a student is sent into oblivion because of an unfinished and highly dangerous spell. Yuu would just shrug it off, no guilt needed.
You would think Yuu would be hated by all for this. You're right they are. The only people still by them are the main cast of twisted wonderland. Don't ask me how Ace and Deuce still hang out with Yuu after the fifth failed experiment. (it’s because Deuce wants Yuu to change. Ace just wants to stay in Yuu’s good graces.)
Yuu’s breakdown happens after a year. Yuu needs to get back to complete their script, and they already wasted a year now trying. So Yuu’s unstable mind breaks into four different parts. Both figuratively and literally. Yuu does this with the use of meltdown and EGO. (I will not be getting into what EGO is because that is a whole can of worms right there.
What, you thought the five names were a joke? Meet Abel, Abram, Adam. The students, alongside a fourth part named X. have reason with all the three others. Abel, the oldest looking of the four. (the first one on the left) is Yuu's guilt over all the horrible things they have done, and how it all led up to nothing. The students and X need to show Abel that it wasn't all for nothing that Yuu has helped them change. Abram the one with gray hair. (not white) is the manifestation of Yuu’s obsession over getting back home and his love Carman. The students and X promised Abram that they will find a way to bring Yuu home. Even if that way requires a few sacrifices. Last is Adam (the white hard one.) Adam is Yuu’s insanity, Adam wants everyone to Overblot it’s to Adam the purest form of emotion. The students and X have to explain to Adam hoe toxic Overblot is really. Abel, Abram, Adam all have individual powers. Abel has the ability to change environments. One monet your on solid ground the other your in a pit trap. Abram Makes people do and say the opposite of what they actually want to do. Adam has the ability to distort the mind, driving those who face Adam insane.
After all is said and done, X joins the other parts of Yuu completing Yuu. Yuu forces the others to make good on the promise to help him get back home. Overseeing tests and managing everything.
Carman:
“You have this!” “I want to help.” “My goal is curing the disease of the mind.” “I want you all to be happy.”
Yuu is a beloved person. There is always a positive thing they will say to anyone. Yuu is enamored with how determined everyone is to accomplish goals. Yuu often takes students from the halls and asks if they could do psychological exams on some of the students. Asking questions about what students want and such. Yuu is still doing research on what they call “the well of humanity.”
Yuu has a confusing goal: Yuu wants to cure the disease of the mind. Something many students have questions about. All questions Yuu is very willing to answer. The disease of the mind is something Yuu explains in abstract terms. Everyone has a light deep inside them, but in Yuu’s world people have forsaken that light. The light is hidden by the disease of the mind. Yuu claims that the people here let their light shine bright; very few students at Night Raven are affected by the disease of the mind. Yuu wishes to help these students. Yuu spends a lot of time around Leona, Idia, and Cater assisting them in getting out of bed or giving words of encouragement.
Yuu is a very convincing person as well. They will talk circles around people. You could only think it’s nonsense until they tell you about the science behind it. It sounds like magic, but Yuu is insistent it isn't magic. Yuu’s world has no magic only since and advancement. It’s actually eons more advanced than twisted wonderland. Yuu rambles about how people can be healed from the worst wounds as long as their brain is intact. How they have trains that only take 10 seconds to any place.
Yuu’s meltdown has been a long time coming. The work Crowley puts them under, the stress of being in a new world, finally the frustration of not making progress in their research. The straw that breaks the camel's back can be anything. Whether it’s something like tripping and scraping a knee, or horrible hurting someone in an experiment. All of Yuu’s bottled up emotions as well as some of their past memories come to light. The only end in an EGO infused meltdown.
Yuu’s meltdown has their spine and brain pulled out of their body. It’s a horrifying sight to watch. “Everyone, let's get alone!” Yuu says with a smile on their face. It’s a massive contrast to the vista pulled out of Yuu’s back. “Why won't you let me help you? I want us to all get along.” Yuu’s soft, kind, voice rings. Yuu’s is persistent in their attempts to reach out to the students. “Don't you want to follow your desires?” Yuu wants everyone to reach out to the light inside of them. To stop Yuu’s meltdown the students have to convince Yuu that they Yuu back. Yet that's hard to do when Yuu’s meltdown abilities are kind, beautiful, and convincing whispers. Whispers that promise the students their deepest desires. When a student falls to the seductive whispers they Overblot. Such a terrifying ability can only end in tragedy.
After Yuu’s meltdown Yuu amidst that they have a fragile heart. People see them as strong, but Yuu is the first to break down when things become too much. Ask asks the others to continue there work when Yuu can no longer.

im thinking abt void!jj fucking u with the gun nearby, maybe tucked under your chin, safety on, but he's telling you it could just as easily be off. void!jj is telling you that the little voice in his head, the owner of the body he possesses, is begging to get the gun away from you. he's telling you that if it weren't for you jj, you would be expendable. you wouldn't mean much.
but the value your jj has put onto you, the obsession your jj has with you, has given you meaning to void. jjs devotion to you has made void want you more. it's why he's enjoying the sight of your tears making your mascara run, and why he's loving the image of your tits bouncing with his thrusts up into you.

Hadal Blacksite: Expedition M (A Magnus Archives/Pressure crossover AU)
Warnings for this AU: TMA spoilers, body horror, cannibalism
Canon divergence: The site in this AU is much larger, being about 200 rooms plus the Ridge.
Following the death of Jurgen Leitner, a criminal investigation into the Magnus Institute led to the archive crew (plus Jonah) (no I'm not going to call him Elias. At all) being imprisoned and drafted as expendables.
Sasha lasted about 6 weeks before being dragged through a false door. She now acts as a lure/third component of the "Good People" entity group.
Tim, after 4 months, ran into a flaming room to escape an Angler and was burned to death. He was resurrected as a fire entity (Z-101: Burning Man) and hunts new Expendable groups to use as a food source for himself and other entities.
Martin survived for almost 8 months before becoming trapped inside an instance of Z-432.
Jon, the protagonist of this AU, has survived for almost a year so far. About six months into the expedition, he killed a suffocating Eyefestation and accidentally got some of its blood in his mouth. This caused mutations: gills and extra eyes.
What about Jonah?
Well, Jonah died about three weeks in, after trying to transfer his consciousness to Sebastian. This left Elias, blind and afraid but in control of his body for the first time in decades. He's been living in Sebastian's shop and trying to teach himself echolocation.

I'm at my highest peak, I'm ripe, about to fall (capture me) - CHAPTER 1
(BSD/MHA CROSSOVER FIC)
It was just a normal mission.
In and out, quick and easy- for Double Black, anyway. If Mori had sent grunts they wouldn’t have lasted five seconds with this particular Ability user, who seemed to enjoy slinging interdimensional frisbees at her enemies.
How annoying… but Dazai couldn’t help the smile tugging at his lips. This woman and her backup sure were giving his dog a lot of trouble, and it was kinda fun watching Chuuya struggle for once… battles like this were normally a cinch for him.
Whoops!
A bullet whistled past just before Dazai ducked back behind the rubble. The rubble he was STRATEGICALLY PLACED at (he was not hiding, as Chuuya seemed to believe and scoff at; figures that his dog wouldn’t understand simple logic. The simple logic being that he, for all his talents, was not bulletproof- and he wouldn’t put it past Chuuya to let a missile or two slip past his ability if he annoyed him enough.)
(Of course he wouldn’t mind a bullet to the brain, but unfortunately silly Chuuya’s aim was so inaccurate it was always a bullet to an arm or leg, and ended up being a painful inconvenience instead of sweet relief.)
Dazai poked his head back out, adjusting his bandages- this area was so dusty and dirty, it was starting to soil the cloth. He could already see stupid Mori smiling condescendingly once he saw his bandages, and chiding him for not being able to keep himself clean during battle… Ugh.
“SHITTY DAZAI, COME OUT AND USE YOUR ABILITY ALREADY!! I KNOW YOU’RE HIDING OVER THERE LIKE A COWARD!!!”
Ah, his dog was calling for him.
Dazai got to his feet, dusting the grime off of his clothes in a leisurely fashion, before making his way out from his ahem, strategic placing. His lips curled up into a grin when he saw Chuuya looking tired out for once; it was always nice to see him get humbled.
Dazai picked his way over all the grunts that had been firing carelessly earlier, now scattered in heaps on the ground. How messy of Chuuya, it was almost as if he had deliberately piled them in order to hinder his owner to the rescue.
“CHUUUUYAAAA, I’M HERE~” Dazai sang carelessly, doing a hop, skip and jump over a few bodies on the ground before coming to a stop beneath where the Gravity user was floating. Chuuya shot him a harried look, clearly out of breath as he continued to dart and dodge around the enemy’s rapid-fire attacks, hardly getting in any hits himself.
Yup, this Ability user certainly wasn’t your average run-of-the-mill… Dazai let out a slow hum, eyes narrowing. He had expected this mission to be somewhat difficult, but it was surprising that Chuuya had had to expend so much of his energy so early.
The Ability user was a tall, slender woman with flowing black hair, skin white as snow and an unnervingly wide grin. She floated in the air, slinging shimmering, dark-as-night disks through the air that arced in glittering curves… and where they landed, Dazai had already noted, they left deep holes in their wake.
Not your average holes, either. It was almost like they erased the land itself, leaving that odd, shimmery darkness all the way through. He had checked!
Dazai shuddered dramatically, who knows what would happen if someone fell through! Perhaps he should test that theory later, preferably with himself. Or, if Chuuya annoyed him enough, he could command him to jump in for the sake of scientific discovery.
Anyway, as fun as it was watching Chuuya put so much effort into living (so fascinatingly ridiculous) he should probably cut this short. It was rather tiresome watching that smug smile widening on the Ability user’s face; he had a nagging urge to put a bullet through her whitened teeth. Perhaps more than once.
Dazai let out a melodramatic sigh, stretching and rolling his shoulders- figures he’ll have to finish this irritating woman off for his dog. “CHUUYAAAA! IT’S TIME!!” Dazai announced with a bright smile, glancing up at the fiery-haired boy who was even more exhausted now, sweat beading on his forehead.
He barely had a second to shoot a glare down at Dazai before darting out the way as another shimmery disk whistled past, missing him by a hair. “IT’S ABOUT TIME, HURRY UP ALREADY!!”
Dazai smiled to himself, before sending a swift nod to Chuuya, both of them exchanging another glance quicker than you can blink before-
“Whoosh!” Dazai hummed brightly to himself as he flew through the air like an arrow, radiating scarlet light. This was the fun part, really, it was almost like he could fly- it was a shame he had to focus because if he didn’t, he’d probably get disc-ed and die and Mori would be annoyed with him.
Dazai’s eye glinted as he neared the woman, who continued to grin infuriatingly wide even as he was swooping in closer and closer- His mind raced faster and faster, everything coming to a head as he reached out, fingers inching closer and closer as the woman’s glowing hands conjured another disc, he was so close he could t-
“SHITTY DAZAI!!!!” A panicked yell interrupted his thoughts and he turned to see another disc zooming behind directly for him because the one she was “creating” with her hands was a DIVERSION, WOW, very original…
My, she really thought Dazai wouldn’t notice? Now that was just insulting, really.
Not to worry though, he knew his dog was observant. He was jerked out of the way in the nick of time, the disc cleaving through thin air and then straight through a broken-down building near them, leaving that shimmery midnight hole in its wake. Hm, fascinating.
Dazai reached out, natural curiosity overring caution of wellbeing, as that strange and dark shimmering substance looked almost… liquid. He wasn’t stupid though, he had gloves on, and his finger was just about to make contact when-
“MACKEREL, DON’T TOUCH THAT WEIRD SHIT!!” He was jolted out of the way just in time again, and let out a sigh of disappointment, unsurprised. Honestly, Chuuya was so boring, if he didn’t let Dazai experiment with weird substances that inexperience could kill him someday, you know. Probably. Maybe… Not really.
In any case, if weird substances kill him someday it’d be by choice, not by pure stupidity.
“Come now Chuuya, can’t I have a little fun?” Dazai whined, crossing his arms petulantly. He whipped his head to the side as a disc whistled straight past, nearly turning him into an Antoinette. Hm, as irritating as this woman was, at least she had better aim than Chuuya.
What a shame she’d be dead within the hour, truly. Dazai’s eye darkened as Chuuya sent him soaring through the air again, reaching out to touch and end all this, once and for all- he was getting a bit sick of beating around the bush.
His hand was getting closer and closer once more, ready to cut off this woman’s power and life in one fell swoo-
Wait.
Dazai felt a third set of eyes on him and darted around, instantly on his guard and- oh. Shit.
A second woman, identical to the first one, glided from the shadows of another building. Dread growing in the pit of his stomach, Chuuya tugged them both backwards through the air, unnerved as more and more clones of the Ability User emerged, still smiling wide.
“D-dazai, what the hell? Why didn’t you warn me about this? Is this another one of your twisted games or what?!” Chuuya scowled, eyebrows furrowed furiously as he turns to the other but Dazai is too shellshocked to respond, mind racing.
This… wasn’t supposed to happen. This wasn’t in the intel.
But it was nothing Double Black couldn’t handle.
Dazai shook himself, giving Chuuya the look, and the other’s eyes cleared with understanding. “Shit, you couldn’t have warned me? Ugh, just don’t take too long like last time.” Chuuya let out a huff, shoving his hands in his pockets as he shot forwards to the first Ability user.
Dazai’s eyes darted around faster than you could blink, assessing the situation- it was a shame he wouldn’t be able to focus on watching his dog enter the Corruption state, beautiful as it was, but there was no time.
This was serious, he had to… hmm…
“Dazai! DAZAI!! LOOK O-”
Chuuya’s words were cut off unnervingly quickly, and Dazai stiffened completely. He knew what that meant, and he didn’t want to. A sense of horror filled him as the scarlet light around him started fading, the zero gravity surrounding his body disappearing completely as he fell through the air.
Shit.
“No, no, no, no!! Chuuya?!” Dazai’s voice cracked against his will as his head snapped up and around, searching the air frantically as he plummeted. Where was he, WHERE WAS HE? “CHUUYA!”
He spun and found a disc swerving through the air swiftly towards him in a downward spiral, and- fuck, fuck, this must be the one that had gotten Chuuya, and it was coming straight for him and there was no time to dodge-
Dazai Osamu’s last thoughts were nothing but terror, dread and grief… and a sick sense of ironic relief, as though he had craved to die all his life, he had never wanted it to be like this.
THIS.

-NO.
-THIS IS NOTHING.
-THERE IS NOTHING HERE.
-THERE IS ONLY DARKNESS.
-GO.
something whispers to the Boy-Shaped Wrongness in the space.
-GO. GO. GO. GO HERE.
-GO HERE NOW.
something shoves the Shape through the empty.
-GO. THERE IS NOTHING HERE.
something shifts the Boy-Shaped Wrongness over There.
something ends the Boy-Shaped Wrongness where it was Here, marvelling at such a short-lived mockery of an existence.
and something WAKES THE Boy-Shaped Wrongness UP.

Dazai Osamu splutters to a start, breathing heavily. His skin feels a bit strange, almost like it’s been peeled off, stretched and squashed, and then applied back onto his bones once more.
And his eye… he can feel the air on his other eye. It’s uncovered.
That fact alone jolts him up, eyes still closed, as he’s not looking forward to seeing a very displeased Mori standing by his deathbed. After all, he’d blacked out and almost died, and Chuu… Chuuya…
Dazai pushed that thought down for later. When it fought back, he viciously pushed it further and further until it was a scrunched up ball of agony at the back of his skull. Then, he inhaled deeply, as it smelled like… vanilla?
Mori’s “hospital” always smelt vaguely of blood and despair (even though it was deep cleaned daily) along with assorted chemicals. This… smelt sweet, but not the sickening sweetness of Mori’s smile. It was something very different.
Finally, Dazai opened his eyes, blinking blearily as his surroundings blurred and refocused.
First, he gawked.
And then, he gaped.
“Ah, good, one of you has finally awoken.”
Because sitting in front of him was a completely unfamiliar old lady squinting at him with a hint of suspicion in her eyes, hands folded in her lap, and standing beside her were… a series of ridiculously buff strangers.
Oh, and a white rat/bear/cat/?? who was smiling at him with the light of humanity in his eyes, despite obviously being an animal of some kind.
And wait, the lady had said one of you? Meaning it wasn’t just him? Dazai felt his heart leap into his throat, craning his neck, and finally noticed someone else lying in one of the other hospital beds, with- with very distinctive fiery red hair.
Chuuya was alive.
Dazai swallowed, blinking furiously as his eyes drifted across all the strangers before him, thoughts now filled with endless question marks.
Because… what the fuck?
