Heracles and the Buddha

This is based on the fascinating fusion of cultures after Alexander the Great invaded India, otherwise known as Indo-Greek or Greco-Buddhism. In Gandharan sculpture, Heracles is depicted alongside the Buddha as Vajrapani, the Buddha's protector. The pairing of two figures so iconic in their mythologies seemed perfect material for art. The Buddha would help Heracles with anger management, while Heracles would help with clobbering evildoers. Business as usual.

I don’t mind at all, love! I know tackling chubby readers is a bit sensitive. It’s funny since I’m chubby too but I’m gonna try my best! Being chubby is never a problem, you don’t need to change yourself but if you want to be healthier, go right ahead! Do it for yourself, not for anybody else! And I don’t need to comment on black people, they are beautiful and deserve as much love as we all get

Poseidon

Once more, Poseidon is a heavy human hater and at first, he completely ignored you since to him. You’re nothing but filth before his eyes. However, he begun to indulge in a sense of hypocrisy as he kept thinking about you and returned to ‘study about humans’ when, in reality. He wanted to know about you

Poseidon notices your chubby curves but do you think he’ll fuss over it? He won’t. He doesn’t control what you do nor does he care. Would he rather you be healthier and therefore thinner, yes. But he thinks your slightly thicker self is not that bad. Your own body is the last of his problems

Poseidon has not seen many black people in his life, as he is much more use to the pale skinned figures like his fellow Greek gods so whilst he does notice your ‘different’ appearance right away, he only asks you to explain it to him in detail from his awe is AFTER he has basically dragged you into his private suite within the Gods’ level of Valhalla

Poseidon still has a reputation to uphold so whilst he won’t openly express the fact he’s now friendly and even intimate with a human, he’ll just keep the fact he’s considering making you his Queen to himself… he is a hypocrite but he won’t accept being exposed as a hypocrite

Poseidon actually genuinely likes your attitude. You don’t take shit from anybody, you’re graceful, you’re strong, you’re a perfect Queen… even if he knows you’re a repulsive weak little human. He’ll just have to figure out a way to turn you into a Goddess. It’s not like you don’t deserve it, you deserve to wield godly power

Sadly, your relationship with Poseidon is purely private / secret since he cannot risk all the hardwork he put into his whole image within the Olympian Gods but this doesn’t mean he doesn’t care about you. At first, he didn’t, but now, he does and that’s enough. He cares about you, he’ll work for you, he’ll spoil you

On the other hand, Buddha just really doesn’t give much of a fuck about anybody around him but also only really cares about himself so when he comes across you… he kinda looks at you, gives off a causal greeting then goes on his way. Yet, you kept coming across his mind afterwards so he decides to look for you and he is determined to get what he wants. YOU

Buddha is a man who is extremely flexible and has no such thing as judgement or malice so he really doesn’t mind how chubby and thick you are. He thinks it’s actually cute since he can tell you’re happy with your body and don’t feel negative to yourself. However, if you want to change yourself, he’s there to help out

Buddha, unlike Poseidon, has seen black people more than once, since there is several multitude of racial members in his religion so he less finds your dark skin and other unqiue features as fascinating but more as pretty since you own your looks… he appreciates that

Buddha is an excellent teacher so he has the heart to care and try lead you. He may only move for himself but he puts you second in his heart so if you need him, he’s there. Even if it goes against his own wishes, you don’t agree with him but he wants to make you happy too

Buddha loves the way you act, cheeky snarky determined girlboss and he is proud of you completely. You’re the type of woman he likes, the one who don’t let anybody hurt her and stands up for herself, he definitely can see ya making a great co-leader, right by his side

Relationships may not be the most common thing for monks but Buddha doesn’t see any problem with breaking the rules, even his own rules. He is a rebel after all and he likes you, he strives for healthy emotions so love and happiness formed by you, reciprocated for you as well. You’re staying now

The Buddha in different religions/beliefs. 

Firstly, who is the Buddha?: 

The historical Buddha was a prince named Siddhartha Gautama who lived 2500 years ago in what is today northern India/Nepal. He was born into a warrior clan known as the Shakya, which is why he is often called Shakyamuni, “Sage of the Shakyas.” He is the one to later abandon worldly attachments, become enlightened, and found Buddhism.

The Buddha in Hinduism.

Some Hindus consider the Buddha as the 9th avatar of Vishnu/Dashavatara, The Buddha was integrated into Vaishnavism, it was also believed the Buddha’s wife, Yasodhara, was the avatar of the wealth Goddess Lakshmi, though Buddhists deny this, so as other Hindus who identify the 9th avatar of Vishnu to another being who was also called “buddha”.

The Buddha in Christianity.

Called St. Josaphat (Budhasaf) of India, The story of St. Josaphat tells of a prince in India who is converted to Christianity by a monk, despite his father's attempts to prevent it. The monk and prince are later honored as saints in Christendom. The Buddha was honored as a Christian saint for about a thousand years, but this wasn't recognized until the mid 19th century.

The Buddha in Hellenism.

Buddhism had a big influence on ancient Greeks, in which they would identify Buddhist beings with Greek beings, the Greeks were also the first ones to make Buddhist statues. Heracules (or Zeus) was identified with The bodhisattva Vajrapani, whom was seen as Buddha’s protector. There also was a Syncretism between The Buddhist Goddess Hariti & Greek goddess tykhe.

The Buddha in Taoism.

Some Taoist believe that the Buddha was a reincarnation of Laozi, the founder of Taoism. Some also believe he was either on the same power-level as the Jade emperor, the Taoist king of heaven, or stronger than him. 'Buddha' is absorbed wholly into the Taoist cosmology, becoming another term used to describe the generative tissue at the source of all things in both the mental and physical realms.

The Buddha in Shinto.

Buddhism & Shinto are mostly seen highly entwined in Japan. The buddha is called Shaka in Japanese & was transformed into a powerful Japanese deity, whom coexisted with the Shinto gods. Buddhist temples were often attached to Shinto shrines. A Shinto temple would sometimes have a priest of that shrine read a Buddhist sutra in which Shinto events took place.

Prophets don't create religions. Prophets reform their own religions.

Jesus did not create Christianity, he was a Jew reforming Judaism. The Buddha was not a Buddhist, the Buddha was a Hindu reforming Hinduism. The prophet Mohammed (PBUH) did not create Islam. Over and over again in the Quran he's constantly saying: this is not a new message, this is not a new religion, this is the exact same message that was given to every prophet that came before. Their god and your god are the same. It's the prophet's followers, regardless of what religion you're talking about, who are then tasked with creating some kind of institutionalized Thing out of the prophet's words and deeds. All religions were created by followers of the prophet, not by the prophet themself.

I was listening to this interview with Aslan and very struck by this idea. From what I know, I agree with the statement about Jesus, but don't know enough to know if he's right about the Buddha and Mohammed (PBUH).

Hello my lovely void staters and my fellow lovely people In general, long time no see, I hope that each one of you beautiful souls have and Is still doing great!

This post Is for void state Inducers who are expriencing difficulty with concentration and attention while Inducing the void state, I'd suggest doing this meditation/yoga that Is Inspired by the mala meditation, you don't need to own a mala, the Intension for this meditation/yoga Is not religious, neither for channeling any religious figures, hence why I said a meditation/yoga Inspired by the mala meditation and not mala meditation Itself.

Use your necklace, bracelet, or any other object that are built up by orbs that you can use/count like It Is a mala while affirming for the void state/to be literal pure consciousness.

It Is effective when you only want to repeat a mental mantra loud and clear without getting distracted and/or bored. Doing this mala meditation Inspired trancedental meditation Is a wonderful way to Induce the void state In my opinion.

I got the Idea of a mala meditation Inspired trancedental meditation for the void state because of a necklace and a bracelet that my mom purchased for me from a store in CC vest (a center mall that serves our home district and all of the districts on the west side of our city) that I not JUST wear but also use to count the orbs of It/use It exactly like a prayer bead.

Anyways, check these two videos that I've shared out, as they explain well how to do a mala meditation, just so that you have an Idea on how to count the orbs of a mala/how to use a mala/prayer bead.

The Buddha is a title, not a name (it means "Enlightened One").

One thing I really adore about Buddha is just plain unpredictable he is. That includes even the smallest aspects of him as a person.

In several ways, Buddha clearly separates from all the current Gods seen so far in RoR. One of the earliest, most simplest examples is how Buddha addresses people, or overall, just how he generally talks.

(Insert long-ass anime weeb rant below...)

This fucking guy is The Buddha, not some mere buddhist, literally The Buddha. As in, he created Buddism. Implied to also have created the spiritual concept of combining souls and bodies in RoR canon; Common Destiny.

Which, had it not existed, wouldn't make it at all possible for the Valkyires to weaponize a transformation bond with their chosen wielders.

He is one of the most important divinties on the entire planet. Capable of creating techniques able to bridge the gap between Gods and men, albeit temporarily during Ragnarök, but still obviously quite the difficult feat in RoR's very specific world.

Despite all this, Buddha doesn't talk the way everyone expects. He and Earth's real Buddha share more than their fair share of views and quotes as clearly expected, although slightly tampered.

Buddhists are known to address wisely and speak in hamony of absolute truth. They even practice a certain way of communication. Basically, it is a tone of conversation called 'the right speech', pretty self-explanatory given this is literally The Buddha we're explaining.

But no, in RoR-Buddha fucking talks like this to Loki and The Seven Lucky Gods literally sticking guns and swinging swords right in his face.

You'd think Buddha would throw on some of that sick wisdom that has moved humanity and the Buddha's loyal followers for centuries ongoing. Some random rant about the importance of faith and how murder is wrong, but nope, not what happens.

Instead Buddha spit sticks a lollipop stick up one of the Lucky Gods hand and basically tells him to suck it the fuck up and gather your shit. Like bro, do you even lift?

He talks like an American redneck, like what?

Buddha goes as far to pull the whole "holier then thou" crap on Zeus of all damn people, in front of fucking Odin. The King of The Cosmos getting told to pound sand by The Buddha is a scene I didn't expect to see.

Nor did I think I needed too.

You know The Buddha in this transition is going to be a fun character when he flips Heaven the middle finger on a daily basis, Buddha brags a lot of sass and takes no fucks.

This one will be one Hell of a ride for all readers, and that's not even mentioning his fight with Zerofuku. Buddha walks dick out and ready to show everyone their just desserts. He appears with extraordinary detail put on his personality and design appeal.

No wonder everyone loves him to bits and pieces.
