I wonder if part of Suvi's desperation to just be given a clear 'right thing to do' is because one of her earliest memories of making a decision was bathing Eursolon.

Truly if I perceived one of the only times I took initiative as the direct reason my friend could never see their own family again I would never elect to make a decision that effected anyone else for the rest of my life.

the way lady prospera made sure to emphasize that this was how to save miorine, this was how to keep miorine (and everyone else) alive

Shaddiq's ending left a bad taste in my mouth, brain is currently too fried to articulate why exactly, but... yeah. Definitely gonna give him a better ending in my AU.

The whole ending was weird for me. I have a hard time reconciling the ending with the setting of Ad Stella. Nothing but the central ship was resolved, which is okay, but it left so much either handwaved or flat out ignored.

As for Shaddiq, his ending just kinda sucked. It reeks of "we don't want Prospera to go to jail. Who can be the sacrifice?" It doesn't feel like the show was interested in meaningfully addressing the setting beyond having a motivation for Shaddiq to do a terrorism, which just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It's perfectly valid to have the ending be "and the lesbians get married," it just feels hollow to just leave it like that when we've expanded beyond the taboo of two girls kissing
