Long ago, the Virtue's were first baked into earthbread, their duty to spread peace and prosperity, to witness the creation of the new world for all cookiekind. The witches bestowed upon them the power of the souljam; Knowledge, Volition, Happiness, Change, and Solidarity.

Seemingly unlimitess power compared to any ordinary cookie, none saw issue with it but two witches.

What they forsaw was terror, agony, and ruin

Yet another decision was made that day, one to seemingly stunt any decay. The first guardian, and the first fae, was baked into existence. His thin sugarglass wings delicately crafted by the Witch of Logic, while his essence and soul, made to withstand corruption and corrosion, were baked by the Witch of Order.

Days spent perfectly planning every single part of the cookie they intended to have devote to their will.

When the final day arrived, a cookie with silver wings and gentle periwinkle hair opened its eyes.

What he saw didn't frighten him, thought it very well should have. He felt confused and disoriented, the world around him bright and new.

The Origins of the Witch of Light

I love this video, because it is able to give cookies a glimpse of the world from the witches perspective. I don't have much to add for this. Just some stuff I want to explain away, as usual.

The Witch of Light (and subsequently First Cream Cookie) was NOT the creator of Lifepowder. Lifepowder was already a thing when she was baking; she just collected lots of it

Surprisingly, this happened shortly after the creation Sugar Swan and after Millenial Tree Cookie's seed was planted. The Sugar Swan is what actually gave her the idea. A lot of stuff was happening during that time, lol

While the book shows that her fall created the civilizations, it didn't create them immediately. She set up the groundwork for their creations. Her fall created things like sugar crystals, soul essence, soulstones, powders, etc. It let there be things connected to the life of cookies all over Earthbread, which had the bonus effect of helping out the Sugar Swan (even if they didn't plan it to). Most stories, even mine sometimes, depict the witches as a couple of beings who made the cookies in private areas. But, it was a worldwide thing. Creating life using desserts was a huge thing when it first happened (in out world)

Like the Sugar Swan, she did scatter Lifepowder and Life essence across the Cookie World. Lifepowder is everywhere as a combination of both the Sugar Swan and the Witch of Light's fall
