Cybertronian Colloquialisms - Primes Edition

So we've all heard "By the AllSpark!" or "What in the Pit?" or "Oh Primus" in our TF media. However, I feel like TF writers are missing out on the goldmine that is colloquialisms invoking the different Primes. So, here is a small collection of such colloquialisms, and please, feel free to add more if you have any of your own you use.

"Primus below!" - Exclamation similar to "God above!", invoking the fact that Primus is the core of Cybertron.

"Vector give me patience" - Often paired with "because if Prima gives me strength, I'm going to need bail money." The go-to for when somebot if getting on your last nerves.

"To Alchemist!" - A popular drinking toast, to thank Alchemist Prime for inventing high grade.

"The Three Below" - Refers to Solus, Onyx, and Micronus, the three Primes who formed the Well of AllSparks

"Maximum Blessings on you" - a stealth insult/curse from some dialects, where "Maximum" and "Maximo's" are nearly indistinguishable. As Liege Maximo was the Prime of Lies and Trickery, it's a fitting way to wish someone ill.

“Solus’s slag pit” - Used for something incredible, awful, and incredibly awful. Often used to refer to the latest high society fashion mess.

"Find peace or take it up with the Fallen." - In other words, calm down or screw off.

“As you say, my Liege” - A condescending remark towards a person who’s attempting to lie, cheat or mislead.

Again, if you have any primal colloquialisms you use for your fics, reblog and share them with the rest of us.

Thank you for answering my last ask, I can't help but notice how no one knows where Bee's ghost is. And Megatron is the one looking into the Matrix... Is he haunting Megatron? Trying to stop him from doing it? Helping him?

Is Optimus's ghost following Ratchet around like a sad puppy?

Also just the pairings- Jazz with Megatronus? THat sounds... like fun.

Do the primes miss the other Primes and ask their host if they can check on the other bots that got shrapeneled? Maybe one of them asks if they can find a way to talk with the others... or maybe they can talk trough the hosts... maybe... (ah ah possessed arc)

(PS I really vibe with Hive's whole deal, he is very cool :D and I'm devastated that I'm the one that discovered how he explodes)

Hi again!!! Don't worry, Bee is still here!

His spirit is just...struggling. He's weak at first, flickering like a dying light bulb. He hasn't left the fractured core of the Matrix still in his corpse, but his soul signature is so weak no one can find him. He's just sort of trapped there for a while, in the burnt out room he died in. Until Megatron of course.

Megatron breaks into the autobot base, walks past every sleeping mech he could easily have snuffed, and steals the Matrix core, and by unintentional extension, steals Bumblebee. Now at first, Bee is rightfully upset. He hates being at the gloomy decepticon base, he hates Megatron for taking his voice, he's just mad. Time passes as Megatron tinkers with the core, and Bee regains strength enough to....throw things???

It shouldn't be possible. Somehow this unstable remnant of the Matrix doesn't contain him, but merely houses him, and as he grows stronger, he can appear as an apparition to Megatron. He uses it almost solely to hinder him. With no voice (even ghost Bee gets no respite) all he can really do is mess up Megatron's workspace and insult him through pantomime. Really he doesn't understand why Megatron puts up with it, but aside from the occasional fit of rage at his antics, the decepticon leader ignores him as much as possible and puts his all into trying to restore the Matrix.

Before long he starts having one sided conversations with Bumblebee. Its mostly complaints at first, and insults towards him and the autobots and whatever else goes wrong in his life outside of this little workshop Bee cant leave. It soon gives way to more private matters; intentionally or not, Megatron is revealing his very convoluted, very mixed feelings about Optimus Prime.

The war has gone on too long, why couldn't that idiot just see things from his perspective, he deserved to die, he will be brought back, how could his oldest friend just leave him like this...

To Bee it sounds...exactly like how Optimus felt about Megatron, just drowned in molten anger issues. Against his self preservation instinct, Bee decides to work towards putting this whole mess to bed. Nothing better to do.

With what limited knowledge and communication he has, he does his best to try and help Megatron fix the Matrix. They have spats still, and plenty of set backs, but things smooth over when Megatron (begrudgingly) admits to feelings of regret over taking Bee's voice. As an olive branch, Bee explains something to Megatron that he's been dying to know: how Optimus died.

Things sour fast. Megatron is determined to murder Starscream, Bee is frustratedly trying to explain that if he does so, this little partnership of convenience is over, and he will ensure that the Matrix is never restored. The end of the war relies almost solely on Megatron reeling in his damn anger, and Bee doesnt intend to allow any slip ups. He has no idea how this will end when Megatron leaves the workshop that night.

On the other side of things, the Primes are having a real...weird time?? The ones without hosts can communicate with each other, but the other four are basically cut off from all but their hosts. They don't have the ability to take control anymore, and even if they did, their hosts are nowhere near as easy to possess, nor as willing, as Hive Prime was. Ratchet especially has threatened to tear the Matrix metal from his frame and grind it to dust if Prima so much as thinks about trying it. The other three hosts are similarly put off.

Once again the Primes are relegated to giving advice, but it's not advice anyone seems to want, and yeah, it's mostly because of the wild pairings. Megatronus is constantly clutching his pearls over Jazz's laid-back attitude and deliberate ignorance of his wishes. Prima's calm rationality does little to temper Ratchet's snappy demeanor and only really gets on his nerves (how can you be so calm after what you all did?). Ironhide straight up refuses to acknowledge Quintus. Drift is probably the only one feeling alright with all this. Alpha Trion is generally reasonable, and isn't interested in having control over Drift's form, nor was he interested in it with Hive, so they just vibe like college roommates.

It's uncomfortable, but the Primes are used to sharing space. The worst part is actually sharing it with fewer mechs than usual. The Primes all miss each other to varying degrees, but for the most part are either too egotistical to admit it, or think it improper to mention.

Of course, grand prize for worst ghost time currently goes to Optimus. Dying, watching Bee suffer, feeling his friend's life force extinguish...

He might as well be a husk right now, full on silent treatment is all he's capable of at the moment. The other Primes know better than to try and speak with him. This is their doing to begin with, the channeling of their energy that strained Bee so heavily. Optimus follows the elected council around during the days, but at night he sits outside the room where Hive's body rests. He was there the night that Megatron broke in.

It takes immense effort to travel far enough out from the base to go see Megatron, and he needs several cycles to recover after every attempt, but he keeps doing it, knowing he could fade away permanently. When he gets there, he's too weak for Bee or Megatron to detect him. But he can hear their talks. He misses them both more than words can say.

(Sorry the response is so long, lol. This ask really got the gears turning in my head. I hope at least that makes up for being the one to find out that Ending 3 Hive dies bloody. I'm really flattered to hear you like him! For me that's quite high praise coming from you. Hug hug!)

Before Megatronus, Solus Prime loved the unnamed Thirteenth Prime. They were the first lovers, and they were also the first to suffer the pain of separation.

The Thirteenth kept many things from his beloved, and Solus never suspected a thing until he gave himself to his visions. They were completely devoted to each other, to the point where even after the Thirteenth left her, Solus never fully moved on. While she did come to love Megatronus eventually, her spark was forever torn between her first love and the one who remained by her side until the bitter end. This, combined with other factors, left her life chaotic and her relationships strained.

With the Thirteenth gone, Solus went from cheery and carefree to duty bound and serious. Her beloved gave himself to his visions, and partially in remembrance, she threw herself into hers as well.

ANYWAYS, YES, I'M MAKING AN AU

So like, to understand this AU you need to understand three things

1) My genuine belief that tf1 Optimus will be tied or connected somehow in the creation of new sparklings

2) The fact that merging with the Matrix is considered "Interfacing" (IDW Optimus put it this way, not me)

3) My interpretation that the Matrix and the bearer are constantly spark merging.

I lied it's 4) My obsession with the Virgin Mary, she should have been at the cluuuub

So, the AU starts by Optimus somehow in the surface, his entire frame has been aching for a while but he is still needed to fight the Decepticons and the Quintessons.

Maybe a fight goes wrong, but it sends him panicking because his HUD just fucking told him "Emergence protocols initiated" and it's a little earlier because of the fight but that's not an impediment, the little one wants out and he wants out now

So you might want to guess, where does our dear Prime go to give birth?

Plot twist; Optimus didn't have a forge, another thing Sentinel took from the miners. The Matrix gave it back when restoring his frame, after all, it needed it for restoring the rest of the Primes. So yeah he freaks out a lot a lot

And yes! He is going through this TWELVE more times

The first one is Prima naturally, the little one gives Megatron a run for his money in "things that nearly killed Optimus multiple times" and almost gets stuck in the birth canal once or twice (Optimus doesn't want to think what would have happened to them both if his coding hadn't kicked in at the right moment) and Optimus can't see the little one without getting his carrier coding out of hand and deciding right then and there that he needed to find a sire for their sake. Also Optimus absolutely loves the little bastard like he hung the moons and the stars

And all the time, he felt the presence of other mechs in the cave with him. Someone definitely helped him stay upright, and he could squeeze his hand around a much much larger one when the contractions hit.

Right so he goes back to base, and everyone pretty much noticed how white and gold the sparkling is. Everyone assumes that somehow D-16 is the sire, keeping on brand with the platinated colors, and, well, Optimus doesn't correct them. Besides, it was just one sparkling, what harm could it do if a few rumors ran around here and there?

Ohhhh boy, not a week later, he discovers that maybe it won't be just one sparkling.

Also, I'm naming this au Primes Reborn, and you can't stop me

so in this au, the primes are never killed and sentinel is essentially kicked out of Iacon for trying to betray them and team up with the Quintessons, and he makes a makeshift lair in the vast deserts on the surface of Cybertron while trying to brew up a plan of revenge.

Later on, the Thirteen Primes are thinking a little less about Sentinel, especially with the arrival of the newest Prime, a sparkling named Optimus. To celebrate they invited the entirety of Iacon including the High Guard to what’s basically Optimus’s first birthday, and Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave plan to gift the new Prime three individual presents at the event.

At the beginning of the celebration, Optimus is declared to be betrothed to D-16, a High Guard in Training, and both are to become sparkmates when they reach the proper age.

Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream give their presents, with Starscream blessing Optimus with strength and health, while Shockwave grants him beauty, both inside and out. But when it’s Soundwave’s turn to give his gift, the doors to the Palace of the Primes blast open, revealing Sentinel and Airachnid right by his side.

He pretends to be upset that the Primes didn’t invite him to see this oh-so precious sparkling, before cursing him with a terrible fate: to prick his digit on the sharp edge of a seemingly ordinary mining tool, and have his spark die out.

The Primes are shocked and angry when this happens, especially Alpha Trion, who protectively cradles Optimus in his arms as the sparkling wailed.

The High Guard try to attack Sentinel but he flies away while Airachnid trails behind him in her alt mode, the vengeful false Prime cackling menacingly.

The Thirteen Primes are incredibly worried and frantic, Alpha Trion still clutching Optimus Prime as tightly as possible.

There was a panic set in the room, Iaconian civilians terrified of the encounter, while the High Guard were still in their fighting stances.

Soundwave analyzed the entire situation and then looked back at the sparkling crying, creating a solution that could possibly work to fend off Sentinel's awful curse.

He still presents his gift, but it's changed: his power isn't strong enough to completely overturn the curse but he's able to alter it, making Optimus fall asleep instead, only to wake up after receiving a true love's kiss.

Of course, that wasn't enough to deter the Primes' cautiousness, and they and the three High Guards devised a plan to make sure this curse never came to be; Starscream, Soundwave, and Shockwave would raise the child deep in the forests of Cybertron, naming him Orion Pax and keeping him safe until he passed the age of 16, and only then would he be brought to Iacon to live as Optimus Prime.

That also meant isolating the young Prime, something that became exceedingly difficult when Orion asked his three uncles why he couldn't meet other bots despite being allowed to explore the forests in front of him.

But little did Soundwave, Shockwave, and Starscream know, was that Orion met D-16 as a young bot and had become childhood friends with him in secret, something they'd find out with a nasty shock on Orion's 16th birthday.

I need to share this TF!One MegOp AU idea I have because I needed to heal after having my heart broken by the movie so please hear me out

Tangled AU:

The Primes find out Sentinel's treachery and catch him off guard. A battle ensues, the primes emerge victorious, and Sentinel is presumed dead. But Sentinel survived and vows revenge. Time passes as Sentinel becomes a distant memory for The Primes, and Cybertron enters an age of prosperity. And with it, a new Prime was born for the first time in centuries: A baby sparkling with beautiful bright blue optics & shining red, blue, and silver coating who the Primes named Optimus Prime with pride & love. To celebrate, The Primes launch lanterns into the sky with high hopes for the future.

When he hears news of the birth of a new Prime, Sentinel carries out his revenge.

Sentinel broke into The Primes' home and the sparkling's nursery on a quiet night. The Primes heard Optimus' piercing cries, but it was too late. Sentinel stole the child and disappeared into the night. Despite their efforts, the Primes could not locate Optimus. In the following years, the Primes and all of Iacon would release thousands of lanterns in the sky on Optimus's birthday in hopes that their lost prime would return one day.

Sentinel took Optimus into a tower in the deep woods outside of Iacon and renamed him Orion Pax. Orion grows up isolated from the world, believing Sentinel to be his father. Sentinel forbade Orion from leaving their tower, drilling that the world outside was dangerous and filled with those who would hurt him. That did not deter Orion's curiosity about the outside world, especially at the lanterns he could see floating into the sky on his birthday every year. Sentinel would strike down any of Orion's requests to see the lanterns, stating that he wouldn't last long outside, and would gaslight & guilt Orion like how Gothel did to Rapunzel in the movie. Any hope that Orion had to see those lights seemed to dwindle.

That is until one day, close to Orion's upcoming birthday, a mysterious, strange mech, a notorious thief by the alias of Megatron, stumbles inside the tower while Sentinel is out. Megatron had stolen a precious item from The Prime's home and had barely gotten away from The Iacon High Guards, including a very ambitious & persistent pink femme low-rank guard named Elita-1 who wants to capture him in hopes of being promoted to High Guard, and her fellow guard & cheerful friend B-127. Orion sees the thief as his ticket to seeing the lights and makes a deal with him, much to Megatron's annoyance & reluctance.

Little did they realize the deep feelings they would develop for each other and will learn things that will change everything forever.

HIIII! Sorry to bother, but I've recently found your Hive Prime Au and I INSTANTLY fell in love. It's kind of rushed, but I really wanted to get this idea out of my head. I based him more off of Transformers RID mostly because of his build. Apologies again if it's not up to par, I've never really drawn a robot before 😅

It's still not too defined but it goes something like:

Prima is the first, followed by Zeta. Alpha Trion is the third, and then Solus is born. Quintus is born after her and the rest I'm still not too sure. Oh but Megatronus is the last because the Matrix decided to "be nice" and have him be the last one so Optimus wouldn't have to go through that again

The Thirteenth Prime, my personal take on him.

I like to think that he's an energy being, similar to Amalgamous in a sense, but unique in that he can inhabit pretty much any armor capable of housing his spark. He is fully capable of wandering around as a mist like being without any harm coming to him, essentially making him functionally immortal.

(Megatronus Prime has yet to test and see if a giant fan is capable of doing anything to him.)
