Time has been horrible to the mostly on the nose jokes. Felt like a rip-off of other more popular 80's comedies. Don't Watch.

Remembering Mark Margolis 1939-2023

Actor Mark Margolis has died at 83. He is best known for playing Hector Salamanca on AMC's Breaking Bad and the prequel Better Call Saul. As the elderly don of the Cartel he did so much with a glance and no dialogue. He was nominated for an Emmy. I was a huge fan of both shows and I named both my #2 TV Shows of the 2010s.

He also had small supporting roles in Arthur, Scarface, The Secret of My Success, Glory, Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, Absolute Power, Gone Baby Gone, as Hank's father in an episode of Californication, and 2 episodes of the short-lived TV show The Black Donnellys (fun fact: I worked as an office PA on that during pre-production, but never met Mr. Margolis). He was also a frequent collaborator of Darren Aronofsky, who cast him in 6 movies, notably Requiem for a Dream, The Wrestler, and Black Swan.

Inspiring Inspiration or the Inspirouroboros

The best, most rewarding, and inspirational reactions anyone has ever had to my music:

friend was inspired to start making music of his own after hearing it

two different artists told me they like to paint/draw while listening to it

a fellow musician used their platform in an interview to recommend my work

another fellow musician was so inspired by one of my pieces he made a piece in reaction, and named it after me

a stranger says they like to dance around the living room to it

a midnight email from an old friend who finally got around to listening to it and took the time to write and say they liked it I don't want fame and I'm financially comfortable. All I've ever wanted is for my music to find whatever audience might appreciate it, and for those people to find something of worth in listening. Hearing stuff like this means it is, and they are.
