Me when I remember how dogs were the very first domesticated animal and have evolved alongside humans for thousands of years, resulting in our two species becoming adapted to each other and able to easily communicate.
Me when I remember that humans and dogs have been around each other so much for so much time that dogs are better at reading human behavior than our closest genetic relatives (the great apes).
Me when I remember that dogs can easily understand our facial expressions and gestures, while most people are able to intuit things from a simple bark (if the dog is friendly or aggressive, big or small, nervous or excited, etc).
Me when I remember how, millennia ago, some wolves decided to hang around humans for extended periods of time and those humans thought "you know, we could make them our friends."
Me when I remember that dogs are called man's best friend for a reason.

BEING YOU DOES NOT NEED ANY RULES!!!
AAAAA
You can be an alterhuman while still feeling content with being in a human body!
You can use terms or not, relate to certain situations or not, and it doesn’t make you any less than what you already are! You’re you and that will stay true even if you feel like you’ve changed, no longer relate to the person you once was, or on the contrary, go back to being the being you were before. There are no limits or concrete steps you must take, as it’s all just part of existence!
Being uncomfortable with things others don’t see problems with is fine, as even if they don’t understand, your experience is valid. Enjoying things that are unusual for the self you present is also quite alright and you shouldn’t be brought down by anyone!
you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone, nor explain why you are the way you are. Any little detail and aspect about you is allowed to exist even without a label, and should you use one, there is no obligation to fit the stereotypical definition of said term!!
you’re allowed to have unusual symptoms or strange behaviours, desires for unsettling things and fascination with harmful things! It’s all a part of you and you don’t need the praise of others to feel like you can be yourself.
You can be a therian with no past memories, be a conceptkin of an entirely new thing you have seemingly created, make up terminology that allows you to express yourself in a way that you’re more comfortable with, you can feel like you need physical attributes to validate your identity, it’s entirely fine and possible to even have species dysmorphia and be fine with still presenting human, relate to species that simply have no concrete form, be a dog and yet like licking yourself clean, be a cat and adore dogs, be a bird and yet hate the sky, be a bug and yet seem big, be a slow creature and yet love the wind in your hair, be a god and yet proudly take on the form of a mortal.
even those “unusual” things that seemingly have no presence online, you’re still valid.
Stereotypes hold no value over you and any aspect of you is still you even if it ‘doesn’t make sense’. People can relate, or they can’t. And that’s not a you-problem. It’s theirs.
You can have reasons, or not have them. It still doesn’t change the fact you can be whatever you are. No matter if others demand an explanation. The only things you should feel inclined to share are your preferences or voluntary answers. The rest? Hidden away in a little box! Nobody needs the key, why should they?

Love when I'm trying to type something and I hit the wrong key, so I backspace.
Except I missed the backspace and just hit another wrong key three times, in failed attempts to correct each previous mistake.
And now whatever I'm trying to type has just become a monument to all my failures. So I give up and go get myself a little treat. I've earned it.

You know what would have been more interesting?
Instead of Nick having the daunting realization that his hunt for Eddie Winter was about "justice, and doing what's right" — a trait that was already established in him the moment we meet him,
Betheny could have twisted it, and said, "What if Nick Valentine — despite his identity crisis, his attempts to come to grips with the fact that he's no more than a mechanical copy of a dead pre-war detective, and despite the majority of his haughty sense of justice being because of that — WANTS revenge? And thus is required to come to terms with the fact that he, too, is not immune to the harsh effects the Wasteland has on the average person."
Letting Nick experience conscious human vices and errors in decision-making despite his predisposed 'goody-two-shoes' mentality would have been such an interesting take on his character. To not only permit him to discover his own identity, but to better establish that he, because of his conscience, suffers lapses in his better judgment, thus making him more 'human,' at least from a psychological perspective.
And yes, I'm aware that the "Far Harbor" DLC expands upon the concept of his identity, and has many a metaphor about the dilemma between feeling comfortable finding / accepting oneself vs. masking one's identity to keep oneself safe... but damn. Damn it, Nick.

what made me cry at the ending of Barbie is the Human experience. Its exhilarating and exhausting and beautiful and ugly and wonderfully contradictory to be human, and it's mind numbingly boring, but completely unique all at the same time. Being a person, being what we are, it's so fucking complicated, but it's... everything. Every experience you have, every second you're alive is filled with so much and nothing at the same time. I can't properly explain this, but I cried tears of joy in realizing the truth of the human experience thanks to Barbie
Also some ppl I know didn't really get it, and were kinda fixed in their views of the movie, but I absolutely loved it. I loved the message, and also realizing that Barbie was made for women to feel seen, while ken was just an accessory because men didn't need it at the time.
This is really fuckin late in the Barbie trend that I'm sure its dead, but yeah, re watched the movie the other night and cried again like I did in the theater.

Untitled 001.
Seeing a hallway friend in public is such an excruciating experience
Yes, we said hi to each other every day. No, I didn’t know your name until one of my friends asked how I knew you. Yes, I took off in the middle of the year and you never saw me again. No, i didn’t die. I am So happy that you lived. There’s a part of my heart that beats for you. I don’t even know you. I’m so happy to see you. We were never friends so we have nothing to catch up on. Yes, i missed you. Yes, i thought about you. You look happier. I look happier. Long time no see. I hope i never see you again.
Have a great life. i love you. i don’t know you enough to mean that. goodbye.

FREAKING OUT WTF
So vro, obviously I'm freaked out. My family (mom and both sisters) are out shopping for groceries and shit. I was eating peacefully then when I got to my room I found the balcony door open. I DID NOT open it. And I do forget things a lot but I'm pretty sure I didn't. Then I see a fucking figure outside the balcony door. Ofc I shut the door and move on but bro istg I'm seeing smth staring at me from the window. I can totally be seeing things bc I've been stressing out lately. If I stop blogging out of nowhere, you know damn well what happened, come find me.

Just because someone is a good person, doesn’t mean they were a good person to you.
Good people aren’t always good people. We are all flawed human beings. Stop gaslighting yourself out of recognizing mistreatment— trust your gut but also with a grain of salt
Since misperception/misunderstanding happens all the time.
Just do not be so quick to dismiss when a person is mistreating you, regardless of whether or not they are a good person.

As a metaphor for feeling vulnerable, unconditional and selfless love, or in need or excersize or adventure, I refer to dogs.
as a metaphor for needing space and solitude and peace otherwise I’ll be mean, I refer to cats. as a metaphor for feeling incredibly happy and capable of being enlightened beyond human comprehension I refer to a nameless god.
As a metaphor for being transgender or agender I refer to werewolves.
to refer to the hunger a human experiences for the unknown I use the nameless term of a poet. a descent into a self-propelled madness or due to the surrounding environment I also refer to a poet.
to speak on the natural goodness I refer to animals in general.
to express reality I invoke all the words apart from the blatantly obvious ones to explain to my existence.

But it does make me sad that we've forgotten our names. Out of everything, this seems to me the most tragic. I miss my own and I mourn for everyone else's, because I'd like to love them, but I don't know who they are.
-R
(Excerpted from Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion)
I could talk about just about every paragraph in this book but y'all this one right here. There are things in it that are relevant the further into the story you go.
R never reclaims his name, not even as he finally learns to reclaim his memories. He says that he misses it and once he gets the chance to get it back he refuses it. His chosen name, the one given to him by someone he loves, means so much more to him than whatever name was assigned to him at birth. After all, the name from his first life, like everything else, failed him.
The empathy in these short few sentences... it's everything. Human's were made to love, despite everything. We were designed to care for one another. Isaac Marion is so good at expressing what the human experience is supposed to be. There is beauty in being alive, and it took a zombie to help me remember this.
