but it is just so funny seeing her be all nonchalante about it and going "yeah, i'll rebuild it again, that's fine". and ALL her alliances going "NO GEM. BE ANGRY. BE MAD. SAY CLEO DESERVES A HORRIBLE DEATH NEOOOW!!!!"

They are my main POV, so here’s a current guide to The Family’s Alliances!

The Tuff Guys

Etho: a part of the Family, while he doesn’t live with them and is still a Tuff Guy, he is their closest outside ally.

Bdubs: Regular good allies, hasn’t been called family but is a firm ally.

Tango: They didn’t like him, but via snail escape bonding and him being on the Tuff Guys, which are their allies, they seem to be getting back to the right foot. Not as close as the rest of Tuff.

Bamboozlers:

Lizzie: She hasn’t wronged them, and she is married to Joel, so despite the actions of her team they are kind of allied.

Jimmy: The reason they don’t seemed to be allied with the Bamboozlers anymore. Just started trying to kill them, reason unknown to Gem or Joel. He was treated like a sad puppy instead of a threat, but he blew up some of the car and is now more of an enemy, though still a sad puppy in their eyes.

Scar: Enabling Jimmy trying to kill them, more of a threat but less of true malice, so the relationship is easily repairable if Jimmy’s wish to kill them is dealt with.

Four Gs (Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss, Girldad)

Scott: Neutral. They are fine with each other, but since he’s teamed with Pearl and Impulse it is unlikely to ever end up as true allyship.

Cleo: Same as Scott, neutral but probably won’t be real allies due to their grouping with Pearl and Impulse.

Pearl: Ohhhh Gem hates her this season. Pearl pulled some stuff in episode two, and betrayed her in Secret Life’s family. Joel is a good ally and is very on board with hating her. Number two worst enemy.

Impulse: The most hated man on this side of the river. The cow fiasco in episode one. Him beint with Pearl and pulling tricks with her in episode two. Gem and Joel hate his ass! They got him killed twice, but it’s not clear if he is aware of that.

Renwood

Martyn: Annoyed with him constantly, but mostly in good fun. Solid allies!

Ren: He didn’t do any of the cow bit, so even better allies than Martyn. Good ally.

Spanners/Sub One Club

Mumbo: Allies in name, neutral in action.

Grian: Not even technically allies by name, as it was just Skizz and Mumbo in the ep one cow trade. Not on bad terms by any means, though.

Skizz: A little above neutral, as they told him to kill Impulse and he listened! He was quite nice even when on Red.

BigB

BigB: They’ve basically not interacted, so the most neutral of neutral that could be

(this happens a ways into the story after both eon and sylveon have developed more as people btw)

after things boil over in a one sided argument w sylveon(sylveon figuratively ripping eons head off)("youre a geriatric eevee who clings onto his everstone like a security blanket! you dont understand evolution as much as you think you do!") eon eventually goes downstairs to apologize...

hes wanted to make things right w sylveon for years now but...he could never make himself go down there long enough in the basement where...his own father....

and idt eon could really...conceive of how he needed to. just be there for sylveon instead of what. lying? telling it they didnt mean what he said way back then? say that he didnt care? that he didnt actually love them and to forget about that? just go down to the basement where his own father did all these horrible things said all these horrible things just to add his own...maybe thats another reason he couldnt do it.

but. he finally does go down there to apologize. and i think sylveon also wants to better their relationship by this point too...they just dont know how...so they talk until(see above picture)...

idt eon intended to evolve when he went down there. he probably didnt even think it was a possibility tbh. but he did think about what sylveon said and purposefully left without his everstone...which sylveon didnt realize until...

sylveon like most of their siblings didnt think their dad would ever willingly evolve...much less...for them...

im seeing a common thread between all of the teams this season

each team has someone whose thoughts all episode are "my teammates are idiots/agents of chaos/instigators of fights" (except for kind of the family and bigb who no longer has any allegiance to anyone

i can see gem running a support group for them all (cleo and scott, lizzie, grian, etho- and oddly both martyn and ren?) and teaching them how to either remove things that could cause their teammates to cause chaos and start fights (for cleo and scott, and ren, from her experience with joel) or help them put up with their teammates inability to make successful traps (this would include: retreating to the pale garden and learning to make wine with the local flora, fishing in the far corner of the world, building a cottage core barn and ignoring responsibilities, etc with tutorials for lizzie, grian, etho and martyn)
