My bug demon has never looked so cool. I updated Mantis's design with some more intent and care than I did last time. I gave her Tarantula Hawk wings and colors, I gave her as close of a tail as I could get to an Arizona Bark Scorpion physically, even if the colors are Tarantula Hawk colors. I gave her those big fake mandibles that Earwigs have. I tried to give her some armor that is actual armor adjacent - granted its still very Fantasy Armor. Also I made her hair style easier to read? Kind of anyway, it still has anime hair cut syndrome. But Mrs. Demon of Change/ Mutation has never looked so cool. As always its fun to try and figure out how I am going to pose her and her six arms.

i feel like, he's probably very aware of how penetrating his blue eyes are, so when he feels like someone is flirting with his baby then he'd do a stare down. you know he's got that unhinged glint in his eyes. and then he'd smile and kiss you like he didn't just hardcore death stare someone down.

but then he also uses his blue eyes to totally charm you, and maintains eye contact like no one else — it's not even something he can control; he stares into your eyes like he's so so so smitten.

he's definitely one to keep a firm, and i mean firm hand on your waist. it's his. it belongs to him. only he gets to hold you and he loves making other people aware of that.

i can totally envision him murmuring a possessive "come here baby" under his breath before pulling you into his lap. he's got to have you on his lap, it's like the ultimate move for him especially at parties.

whatever he does, i just know he does it with this swiftness. you don't notice the possessive holding or the jealous death stares, and even if you did, he smothers you in buttery kisses afterwards so you're in a daze anyways

Boonmee has been feeding her two shiba joeys on cooked meat mashed up and mixed with a lot of water, but they really need milk.  Today she organized an expedition consisting of herself, Valdez, and Rossi (let's try this) Kathleen, Mariposa, and Giacomo.  Their goal?  To capture a cabruahua.

They did not get one, but they did manage to bag one of the watchdogs.  It has a couple of puppies of its own, which it appears to carry, when it needs to, in its mouth like a proper animal.  So the cabruahua watchdogs, at least, are normal dogs, not weird possum creatures.

Having it there brought the cabruahua herd over, too, so they're hanging out.  We're considering this an important step towards domestication.

I did not participate in any of this because I've got a splitting headache today.  I've been staying at camp birdwatching.  The coonicorn is hunting scorpions that look exactly like rocks as long as they're sitting still. I saw them first so I have named them Pebble Crabs and nobody can stop me.  I have no idea how the coonicorn spots them, but I do remember reading somewhere that scorpions glow under UV light.  Can the birds possibly see that even in the daytime, just with the UV from the sun?  I think we have a UV lamp somewhere.  Maybe I can test this.
