honestly i'm really surprised i never see anything about the potential for dru to be on the spectrum. autism runs in families, esp for siblings born after a kid with autism (like the likelihood of the next kid born being autistic is raised 20% above average), and idk i just think it's kinda wild to expect that only one of the 7 blackthorn kids would be on the spectrum, or at least nd. and with the way dru obsesses over her horror stuff.. the way she often feels an outsider.. i just don't think it would be much of a stretch

Mio's Ship

I started writing another fic, set on Mio's ship. Only, I was having trouble with the 3-dimensionalness of what it might look like and then proceeded to distract myself for *checks time* 4 hours.

Anyway.

Mio's current ship layout:

I installed Smart Crew by Yogi to stop the crew clumping, which means there are now more realistic department areas on the ship.

Because these departments exist, I decided to make a floor plan of the ship to help me with my stories. The areas are colour-coded as:

Red: Official use

Green: Crew use

Yellow: Storage areas

Purple: Merchant services

Blue: Corridors

My obsession with iDKHOW has officially been going for a year!! 😊❤️ I don't remember the exact date where I decided to listen to their entire discography all the way through (which is what started it all), so I've chosen the date November 15th, cause it's halfway through the year, and I vividly remember iDKHOW being the only thing I could think about last Thanksgiving ❤️ I'm so grateful for them, their music, and all the joy they have brought me over the past year ^^ I can't wait to see Dallon in concert later this year, hear Gloom Division in February, hopefully see them on tour sometime next year, and to just see how long my love for them can extend into next year :) ❤️ I LOVE IDKHOW SO MUCH ALWAYS AND FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🫶

SMG4 is in a coma and the whole show takes place in his dreams.

The spaghetti Mario eats is an allegory for drugs (which are bad for you) and so Mario is on drugs (which is bad).

Bob is just a figment of everyone's imagination he's actually just a pile of cloth that blows around in the wind, everyone thinks this because they are all on drugs.

SMG3 is actually dead and everyone sees him as a ghost, he died from an explosion and he's also in a coma

some of my music taste headcanons for the cast of twp/ what I think they would listen too 💓

Ty: Ty has an actual canon music taste and it’s classical music, and that’s so fitting for him. Like I wouldn’t change anything about that 😭😭.

Kit: IMO I see Kit as the kind of guy who likes every if not most genres. And maybe I’m just projecting a bit here, but I don’t really think he would mostly listen to one category of music. I feel like he would REALLY love Frank ocean, I see him liking Arctic monkeys, Joji, Steve Lacy, Tyler the creator, SZA ECTECT (btw I kind of named the same genre here but IK he’d listen to a bunch of other stuff as well like IKKK he goes crazy when Party in the USA comes on).

Livvy: LIVVY is a pop princess, bless. I know her number one artist was Olivia Rodrigo for a FACT. Sabrina, Chappell, Taylor, Gracie Abhrams. Those are definitely more main stream pop artists at the moment but I know she likes the whole bunch!! I also have a feeling that Livvy LOVES loves songs. Like Kiss me by sixpence non the wiser, or Your so vain by Carly Simon. This is also kind of stupid and niche but ik she listens to the twilight and hunger games soundtracks on the daily

Dru: in my opinion, I feel like Dru would fall somewhere in the grunge, rock and Indie genres. Things like Nirvana, red hot chilli peppers, foo fighters. She definitely seems like the type of person to have had a panic! At the disco phase. I can also see her really liking artists like Avril Lavigne, Joan Jett, Evanscene, paramore and more. I also have a feeling that she really likes “creepy” songs as well. I know she puts the Jeepers Creepers theme song while Thais is a sleep or something. This is so silly but I feel like she would also really like the soundtrack to Coraline, I think that’s got creepy enough vibes for her

Ash: whatever beats there playing in faerie. Jokes aside, I feel Ash probably would listen to whatever music Dru would show him!! Again we haven’t seen enough of him for me to accurately analyse his music taste- but he kind of seems like the person who drives in total silence

I was inspired by the folks at the Renegade Bookbinding Guild and their Binderary 2024 events to try my hand at binding some of my favorite works of fanfiction. This one is the fifth part of chasingfictions my blood tastes like laughter series and has had a special place in my heart since 2021. I'm from NY and I read this between classes my first semester back at school during the pandemic and Spike's love for the city seemed to perfectly resonated with my own so I wanted to commemorate that in print!

This is the first text block I've ever sewn by hand. At four signatures, this seemed like a perfect starter project. I'm learning that part of designing books is doing it by ✨vibe✨ The gray/white/silver/gold marbled cover said New York to me, sort of a glass and concrete with a bit of shine aesthetic. I went with red end papers because vampires. The typesetting isn't too fancy but I really wanted to find an art deco ornament to separate sections of the fic. It took me a while to figure out how I wanted to decorate the spine. I originally used a gold foil quill to trace the text of the title and author but then went over it with a paint pen recommended in one of the Binderary sessions last month and fell in love with the effect. I can't believe my hand was steady enough to get it that clean 😅

Bc yeah we were waiting for TLH for a while but like we could’ve waited longer bc it’s not like TID left off on a cliffhanger and we only had a vague idea of who everyone was pre TLH

Like leaving QOAAD off on a cliffhanger where we’re already invested in the characters and plotlines???

Also if TWP had started in 2020 I would’ve been Dru’s age and I could’ve projected more 😔

(now reading twp I’m gonna be fully an adult 😭 and I’ll still prob love it but ya know it won’t be the same reading experience as when I was fully invested in the world and everything when I was a younger teen first reading them)
