Sara Boboltz at HuffPost:
Former President Donald Trump once again claimed Friday that his supporters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, were being treated unfairly by the federal justice system.
But this time, he offered a deeply flawed historical analogy: Trump claimed the insurrectionists are being treated like Japanese Americans during World War II who were forcibly removed from their homes and incarcerated in isolated regions of the country. “Why are they still being held?” Trump asked during an appearance on right-wing pundit Dan Bongino’s show on Rumble, a far-right video platform. “Nobody’s ever been treated like this. Maybe the Japanese during the Second World War, frankly, they were held, too,” Trump said. Unlike the Jan. 6 defendants, the Japanese Americans imprisoned during World War II were not charged with any crimes. Rather, they were held under the guise of national security after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. The wartime incarceration of Japanese Americans in the camps — barebones and squalid, filled with the very young and very old alike — eventually led Congress and President Ronald Reagan to issue an apology and $20,000 reparation check to each surviving person who was unjustly imprisoned.
[...] Trump claimed that his supporters “really won in the Supreme Court” with its July decision in Fischer v. United States, a case that challenged the use of an obstruction statute applied against several Jan. 6 defendants who allegedly tried to block Congress’ certification of the 2020 election results. The court indeed ruled in favor of the Jan. 6 defendants, leading the Department of Justice to drop the obstruction charge in some cases. But more than 1,200 people have been charged in connection with the riot. Some people are still being held in jail while they await trial on other charges, while others have been handed sentences and are serving them out. Still others have already served their time and been released.
On Friday’s edition of The Dan Bongino Show, Donald Trump makes a grossly insensitive comparison between the domestic terrorists who stormed the Capitol in service’s of Trump’s 2020 election outcome lies and the wrongly incarcerated Japanese Americans during WWII.

NEW: Dan Bongino says an "unimpeachable source" tells him that someone was supposed to be on the roof where Thomas Crooks shot from but "didn't show up."
Bongino also claimed that the Biden admin is telling the USSS director to keep her mouth shut if she wants to keep her job.
"According to my source, that roof was supposed to be a police post... [there] was so supposed to be someone there."
"They're now making up excuses saying the pitch of the roof.
My source says to me that no one knows why the post didn't show up."
"I was also told that the USSS director has been given instructions from the administration and the DHS secretary: 'If you wanna keep your job, you'll keep your mouth shut about this.'"

And here we goOoOo…
If you’ve been listening to the Dan Bongino show you know he has been stressing to get ready and be prepared. He’s convinced the government knows something and it’s about to happen.
He also said there is zero chance they don’t know who the cocaine belongs to.

Alex Kaplan at MMFA:
Right-wing video site Rumble has repeatedly featured Trump ally and far-right podcaster Brenden Dilley’s show on its front page and “editor picks” section in recent weeks, after Dilley claimed that Rumble’s early right-wing investor and pro-Trump media figure Dan Bongino “promised” to try to get the show on the platform’s “front page every day.” Additionally, Dilley has said Rumble staff have “been very nice to [him] lately” and offered to give him “an opportunity to be on the front page a few times” — which he has claimed “made a significant difference” on the show’s viewership. Dilley is a far-right podcaster who streams on Rumble and regularly spreads conspiracy theories, misogyny, and threatening rhetoric. He also leads a pro-Trump “meme team” which The New York Times reported “traffics freely in misinformation,” “racist stereotypes,” and “demeaning tropes about L.G.B.T.Q. people,” and whose content former President Donald Trump and his team have shared and coordinated on. Dilley, who previously pushed the QAnon conspiracy theory, has admitted that his “meme team” includes people “from the Anons and the chans,” a reference to QAnon supporters and users of far-right message boards on 4chan and 8chan/8kun. On the July 25 edition of his show, Dilley said he has been “promised by Dan Bongino” — an early right-wing investor in Rumble who still owned millions of shares as of December 2023 — that “he would try to make sure I’m on the front page every day.” Dilley also said he would be having “a Zoom meeting with somebody from Rumble … right after the show” and suggested that “maybe they could help me get on the front page every day.” The next day, Dilley said that Rumble staff in the meeting had been “really wonderful.”
Dilley seemingly elaborated on his discussion with Rumble in the weeks following the meeting. Dilley claimed he “asked nicely” if the platform would “put me on the front page,” and he said that Rumble has “been very nice to me lately” and wanted to help him grow the channel, offering to give him “an opportunity to be on the front page a few times.” Dilley also credited Bongino for being “a friend” and the platform for telling Dilley that it would “feature” him.
Right-wing YouTube alternative Rumble promotes MAGA cultist and amoral scum Brenden Dilley’s show to its editor picks and front page.

The real problem in this world is that you can't just start singing I Wanna Be At The RNC out loud in public because people WILL look at you weird for it. What, you don't wanna sit with Dan Bongino? Not show him the American Flag that hangs behind the toilet in grandma's basement? Not tell him about the man in the stairs?

Thinking back to the time when my Dad introduced me to "his favorite show" on Facebook, starring disgraced Secret Service hog Dan Bongino and he started showing me clips about the guy whining about the Coronavirus not being dangerous and I only watched like a minute-and-a-half of one of the clips, found this frame, made this, showed my Dad, and said "he looks like a white burglar in a security alarm commercial."

Tucker Carlson interviews Mike Benz, head of the Foundation for Freedom Online. If you are concerned about online censorship and the mechanism through which it is occurring, this is a must watch. Hat tip to Dan Bongino for covering this on his podcast today.
Sharing things from Rumble on Tumblr is difficult. The link at the top should work (photo is not a link, just a screen shot). I'll include another link below. If those don't work, you must search the internet, find, watch and share this. This blew my mind. Blew Tuckers as well, and probably everyone else who sees it.
Remember, likes don't share information. Only share and re-blogs do. As the interview makes clear, it is the military industrial complex that is the main force behind the online censorship that is silencing American voices online. Please watch, and share/re-blog. Our freedom of speech depends on it.
