George Cooper Grizzard Jr. (April 1, 1928 – October 2, 2007)  Stage, television, and film actor. He was the recipient of a Grammy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award and a Tony Award, among other accolades.

Grizzard made his television debut on Alfred Hitchcock Presents.  He guest starred in many television series, including The Millionaire, Thriller, The Twilight Zone, Espionage, Ben Casey, Dr. Kildare, Rawhide, Marcus Welby, MD., Hawaii 5-0, Trapper John, MD, Spenser: For Hire, The Cosby Show, Murder, She Wrote and The Golden Girls.

Grizzard guest-starred several times during the 1990s on the NBC television drama Law & Order as defense attorney Arthur Gold. He also portrayed President John Adams in the Emmy Award-winning WNET-produced PBS miniseries The Adams Chronicles. In 1980, he won an Emmy for his work in The Oldest Living Graduate. I sometimes really miss having someone to talk to about the things I watch.

Yeah, sure I could post on here, but my viewing tends to either be way later for the pop culture conversation or way, way too obscure.

I mean, I don’t want to write a review or analysis, not some dang essay no one will read anyway. Just a chat is all I want!

Today I first watched an episode of “The Adams Chronicles”, a show from the 1970s that aired on PBS dramatizing the life of John Adams and his descendants. ** This was followed by “Mad God”, a film by Phil Tippett*** that I best not try to describe or I might end up with an essay after all.

I have thoughts! I have feelings! I have ideas I’d like to chew over with someone! I have connections sparking through my brain that don’t get to ignite outside my head.

Sigh

You would be surprised how often it makes me miss my family. Like, almost nightly! LOL

I even miss when we argued about something! I didn’t need them to like what I liked, just have their own thoughts to share. It’s not like online rants, insulting or dismissive of anyone that disagrees. Arguing when you respect and love the person you are arguing with, confident that the disagreement will never shake that foundation, is completely different from online “anyone that likes this is an idiot or sick” attitudes.

I once posted my thoughts on a popular Pixar film. I was trying to make clear was just my feelings and not an objective judgement, and that it was fine that others didn’t react like I did. Still, I managed to REALLY piss someone off on Tumblr so much that they launched into suggesting what they assumed was “wrong” about me, and even about my family!

But supposed I’d watched it with someone, like Mom or a friend. I could even have gone “OMG! I hated it! Why do you love it?!?”, without even a hint of tact, without anyone getting offended. We’d talk about what we thought or felt, debating maybe, probably not convincing anyone, laughing, agreeing unexpectedly or discovering some new thing about each other’s mind….

I miss that!!!

** Is it weird that John and Abigail Adams (even in bios I’ve read) remind me of my parents a bit? It’s probably weird. The episode tonight wasn’t about that generation anyway, so I dunno why I bring it up.

***Is it weird that I’ve known who Phil Tippett was since I was about 7? It’s probably weird! LOL

Oh, don't worry. That chance will still come...

I mean, A can't hold out forever without expecting the MC to not date anyone...And though it might be what A thinks they want, that might become painfully apparent that it's very much not what they want...

(Not in Book Four though, I will say, lol. A and the MC at least get a chance in Book Four for a little fluff and romance, just because I'm desperate to get some happy in before it all breaks again... ;D)

This somehow ends with Amos and John Constantine making out. I don’t know how we’ll get to that point but trust me we will.

A is currently the only RO who doesn't find out that the MC might've snooped on their backstory. Was there a reason why? To be clear, I'm glad I didn't get caught but I'm curious as to why lol

A does know, they're just the only vampire who doesn't mention it or make it a big deal.

Which is obviously a bit of a surprise for A's character, lol! :D

A is very aware of how much they looked into and knew of the MC before they even met, so it's kind of like levelling the playing field for them. Plus A wants the MC to know them, but struggles with letting down those walls, so if the MC can know things without them having to saying it all...all the better!
