Yes! I’m writing a fanfic set about 15 years after canon, the first chapter is posted on ao3! <- (link) I’ll be updating it till I either finish it or lose motivation…. Hopefully the former rather than the latter. I’ve already got big plans for it, though…

awea where do i START

ok so most importantly first of all. diluc and crepus both have sun-related names, with crepus meaning "twilight" [e.g. dusk] and diluc meaning "morning" or "dawn" [hence his title, "the dark side of dawn"]. this means a Lot of things to me lol but i won't expound here lol

diluc's motif is the owl, but it's also the phoenix (see elemental burst and namecard), the mythical bird that rises from its own ashes at dawn. more rising sun imagery, especially relating to what he "became" when he devoted himself to vengeance in snezhnaya. he was reborn as something angrier, something even more fiery and dangerous, out of the wreckage of his past.

light is often used in the context of uncovering truth and executing justice like the phrase "bringing something to light." this pursuit of the truth has been diluc's sworn, self-imposed mission ever since his father's mysterious death. [see the like. 40 voicelines of diluc's about truth, sin, and justice]

with diluc and kaeya especially as teenagers there is an implicit sun/moon undertone i think. diluc, the sun, who "always had a warm smile and a confident posture" and kaeya, the moon, who "For years [...] had stayed out of the way in his brother's shadow."

many cultures regard the sun as the undisputed ruler of the sky, the king of the cosmos. much like many regard diluc as the "uncrowned king of Mondstadt," despite having no actual title to that effect.

of course there's the obvious comparisons between a hot-headed fire wielder and a big ball of fire in the sky but we won't get into that lol it's enough to say that they're both hot

When she still lived in Berk she believed that peace was possible with the elves and dragons and did everything she could to convince anyone that they were not bloodthirsty monsters they had to fight. But of course no one believed her.

And so when she got taken by a dragon, after defending it and saving it's life during a raid, she figured that maybe Berk was hopeless and decided to stay in Xadia. (is this a flawed decision?? oh 100%. This action will have consequences in the future ;D)

And now 18 years later, she lives in the Uncharted Forest, helping and healing injured creatures and dragons and giving them a safe haven to reside in. She doesn't get many visitors, mainly because of the boundary spells that are set around her home, but she does get visits from her Sunfire elf friend who drops by from time to time to fill her in on things and ask for her help.

Recently though he's been trying to figure out what's been causing a corruption in the creatures of the region, and asked for her to keep an eye out for anything strange. Aside from that, the only other news Sandy has to share is that there's been a Sunfire elf terrorizing Berk. How strange. :)

we dont know how the tunnels got there, did the trolls dig them? or something else? or were they always there?

How many trolls did the bergens eat. surely at first they must have bean eating HEAPS of trolls daily before realised that they would run out. how long was it until then?

It had to have been long enough that they would have then decided to make trollstice (help cant spell) a yearly tradtion. could it at first have been monthly?

We dont know how many pop trolls there were at first. have their number gone down? by how much? since more being eaten means less babies.

How many queens/kings were at the troll tree? Just peppy? his parents? But that raises the question of wether or not any of the escaped trolls remember a time before the bergens.

GOD you reminded me of when i eventually realized how massively fucked the pop trolls were pre 1st movie. i remember trying to read everything i could that talked about it and staying up til 4 am to do it because holy hell they were being eaten on a yearly basis. the fact that world tour makes it a point to say that only peppy ever knew of the other tribes makes me lean more onto the assumption that its been... a while? but also like. no one's ever mentioned viva? no one remembers the princess who was old enough to fight bergens and mention that to poppy??? whos to say these guys arent just repressing everything as they always do????????? [ITS HARD TO ARGUE SPECULATIONS HERE BC they had to make plot for the movies to make sense!!! its why it feels so mean to me to just blame everything on peppy LMAO. even if that is the easiest way to make sense of it. so for the sake of it. i like to think that theyve been under the bergens' capture long enough that everyone outside of the royal family forgot about the time that they were even free from the bergens. long enough that the royal family could rewrite the scrapbooks to make it seem like it wasnt their fault. that it never was. whether to spare themselves the blame, selfish deniability, or just. give up the hope that there was a single minuscule possibility to have help from the outside.

i said before that i headcanonned peppy holding resentment for them in the belief that no one could ever bother to just check. and thats part of the reason why he doesnt even want to attempt getting to know them, since it probably felt like no one EVER cared except for themselves.

more than anything. the realization of how hard the pop trolls' lives mustve even been prior to the first movie made me have so much fucking love for them even more?? The ROKC is a radio show I do with a friend of mine! It follows Nick and Mallory, two grad students in the town of Kullerluk, who soon come to realize that there is Definitely Something Up with the disasters that never stop plaguing their world. There are two main portions to the show:

1.) The horoscopes. Read by Nick each week, the horoscopes seem pretty normal at first, but eventually he shares with the class that he basically blacks out while reading them. They’re usually fairly ominous, and definitely a little prophetic.

2.) The disaster report. Read by Mallory each week, the disaster report details whatever crisis has befallen their town that week, ranging from floods to earthquakes to really dense fog. She usually writes her reports clinically, but every time she reads them she ends up going a liiiiitle off script.

Eventually, they come to realize that their horoscopes and disaster reports are definitely supernaturally attached to the disasters that are happening, and after a lot of arguing back and forth and one minor character death they feel like they’ve maybe figured out exactly what’s going on (they have not).

Aside from that, there’s also the perpetually impassable route 80, Mallory’s one sided beef with local author/film-maker/musician Naomi Beech, and a handful of stupid puns for random places in our fictional town.

That’s like a Very broad overview of what’s going on. My rokc inspo tag is basically anything that I feel I could incorporate in some way to the show, or just has the vibes of it in general! Also some fun quotes from our script for you:

Man, that's tough. I have a hard time picking one thing---I mean, *gestures to all the fic* you know? But I can narrow it down to a couple of scenes/elements:

The fact that a romanced Fenris still calls you "my friend" even after the act 2 romance scene. This is just...the bedrock of their relationship to me. Yes, that night went very poorly (understatement, I know), but at the core they are friends and he trusts Hawke in a way he's likely never had the cause or opportunity to trust someone before. I believe he never stopped loving Hawke, and it was a matter of laying those feelings out and understanding them one at a time. Romantic love not replacing platonic love or eclipsing it, but building or twining together is just... *chef's kiss* that's the good stuff.

The moment during the romance conversation in Act 3 when you can see Fenris go from hoping (painfully hoping!) that there is still some way he and Hawke can be together to actually believing it will happen. There is a shift in his body language that I could watch (and...have) over and over.

The element of choice? This is not going to be coherent, but the fact that he is learning for the first time what it means to have options and preferences, and he spends a lot of time exploring and understanding himself...and after all of that, the thing he keeps coming back to is Hawke. I think it's gorgeous. A song with refrains of pain or fear and choruses of decision and hope. He's loyal to a fault, in many ways, but understanding how much of himself exists to share and then still choosing to share it is just...man. I said this wasn't going to be coherent lol, so there you are. "If there is a future to be had..." like he doubts its existence but he's willing to chance it for Hawke. Man.

But, honestly? I've played DA2 a lot of times and never romanced another character, even though I've played through multiple romance storylines in each of the other games. I can't shake the Fenris romance. Every time I open a new playthrough, I tell myself that this is the time I'm going to romance Isabela, and every time Fenris rips that dude's heart out and I just......alright, yeah. Okay. Here we go again.

- also I started writing the next chapter of Into the Wardrobe (my old bnha fic) mostly as a joke bc its been 2 years since it's last update (and THAT update also came only after another 2 years so I kind of wanted to keep the trend going for the laughs)

So like, 6 works total I'm trying to work on but only like 5 actual drafts!

Thoughts on Shannon x Rad? And or Raymond x Rad?

Oooo Im glad you asked!! I'm actually quite fond of both of them!! It may be bc Rad's pretty easy to ship with other characters since he's so charming and he can have chemistry with pretty much anyone.

If I recall correctly Raymond x Rad was actually one of my first okko ships and it's one of my favorite too! I think it's clear that the creators wanted them to be a pair in one way or another, as a rivalry and/or as a romance. (It's pretty obvious that Darrell/Shannon/Raymond mirror KO/Enid/Rad I actually would love to talk more about their parallels)

They're so similar but they also manage to complete each other so well. Rad feigns confidence while being very insecure whereas Ray is completely confident to the point of narcissism. Rad suffers from toxic masculinity while Raymond couldn't care less and actually embraces things that are considered feminine.

I actually love the idea of them being so good together that they could be considered soulmates but not being willing to admit it bc of the whole hero/villain conflict (forbidden romance yaaay!) and also bc they both have too much pride to admit they may have feelings for each other

Now Shannon x Rad isn't anywhere near as popular as Radmond (I assume bc the fandom ain't that big) but hear me out, I think it's pretty cute !!

When I first watched the show I used to dislike this ship because the "Rad likes robots" episode made me a lil' uncomfortable (I could make a whole post on why I kinda hate and love this episode at the same time cause I do think it gives us some insight on shannon as a person) and also because I wasn't used to multishipping yet. I know that may sound stupid to some, but when I was younger I used to get super attached to ships to the point that I couldn't fathom the idea of a character being shipped with someone else (for example I hated Amedot only because I shipped Lapidot)

But recently I've been thinking about this again and I realized that Rad and Shannon actually have the potential to make a really cute pairing! Honestly my arguments for this ship aren't as elaborate as my Radmond analysis, it's mostly based on vibes. But I know they could have a really interesting dynamic and I wish they interracted more outside of that one singular episode.

Also I know you didn't ask BUT, since we're on the topic of Rad and robots, another ship that's underrated imo is Darrell and Rad!! I literally only know one other person who likes that ship😭 But listen they're both so goofy and cute you can't tell me they make wouldn't a cute pair?? And I'm always a sucker for a red/blue ship. Plus I love the ship name Darrad cause it's so symmetrical :) And I think the reason Darrell doesn't get shipped as much as Raymond or Shannon do is bc he gets infantilized a LOT by the fans (and even by the show)

In the end if I had to rank them by preference I'd say Radmon<Darrad<Sharad

Is he still more powerful than Garmadon and Wu?. as from what I remember Overlord is as powerful as the Fsm.

Is Oliver close in power to Lloyd? From what I can tell or know Lloyd is technically more powerful than the Fsm as he actually defeated the Overlord

Oh boi, time to info dump a bit about Oliver's power!

To start off, no, Oliver does not have the power of Destruction, he has the power of Darkness. Although he most likely has SOME form of destruction powers due to being part oni (It's a headcanon of mine that the Overlord is part oni and dragon)

Oliver has the potential to be stronger than all the other ninja (besides Lloyd) but he pretty much always holds back. He is never going at full power, even his Outburst mode is still just a fraction of his power. At the end of the day, Oliver is still the embodiment of evil and his powers reflect that.

Basically, Oliver's powers are directly linked to his morality/intentions. If he wanted to use more of his power, he'd have to delve into his more evil nature to do so. It's one of the reasons his Outburst form is much stronger than his normal form, because when he succumbs to his anger, he becomes more violent and more willing to hurt others (he usually takes this anger out on bad guys but still)

During Crystalized when Oliver became the Crystal King, he easily could have taken out the other ninja by himself, he just chose not to. I would almost go as far as to say that CK!Oliver and Lloyd are evenly matched, but I feel like Lloyd is actually still stronger than him when going all out.

So yeah, I'd say that Outburst Oliver might be stronger than the other ninja as well as Wu and Garmadon, Crystal King Oliver is DEFINITELY stronger than the other ninja, but Lloyd is still stronger than Oliver though CK!Oliver does come very close in terms of power.

Hey what's the silt verses? Should I watch/read it? It looks really cool and I could ask Google but you seem very excited about it and I wanted to give you an opportunity to talk about it if you wanna!

aaaaa ok ok ok!!!! i am SO glad you decided to come ask me about it - the silt verses is like. probably one of my favourite pieces of media ever and I am always excited to have a chance to just Scream about it! and since I'm currently on 48 hour tsv lockdown with the first episode of season 3 dropping it's the perfect time for me to get this ask.

so the silt verses is a horror audio drama podcast set in a fantasy world where everything is controlled by different gods. so there's gods of industry, gods of agriculture, gods of natural phenomena, even down to incredibly specific gods like the call centre god we meet in one episode. some are seemingly harmless or benign, some are seemingly malicious, but all of them are capable of acting in the world through miracles or the creation of saints (ordinary people who are transformed into.... something else by the gods' power) and most of them have their own religions following them and offering sacrifices to feed their power.

the twist in all of this is that in the world of the silt verses the gods have become completely controlled by the government and corporations, who decide which religions and gods are legitimate and should be condoned and which should be banned. the two main characters (at least in the first season, the main cast expands a fair bit in season two) are sister carpenter and brother faulkner, two worshippers of an outlawed river god on a sacred pilgrimage searching for revelations from their deity. along the way they encounter other religions and gods of the region, witness miracles that test their faith, and try to stay on the run from law enforcement.

tsv has SO much going for it and i do think anyone with even a passing interest in horror as a genre should check it out! fair warning it can get really disturbing (seriously season 1 episode 4 has some of the freakiest body horror i've ever heard in an audio drama, and that's just the tip of the iceberg) but if you check out the content warnings and think you can handle it, then please PLEASE do!!! the characters are so complex and rich and compelling, the relationships between them are also really compelling and evolve in unexpected ways, the voice cast are all incredible, the worldbuilding is super interesting and well thought out, it has that amazing balance of both serialised narrative and some really amazing out there "monster of the week" style episodes that i think a lot of people miss from modern tv, the soundscaping.... well, it does start off a bit wonky, but by the time you get up to the most recent episode it sounds honestly gorgeous, it has this really wonderful poetic-at-times writing style that feels both fitting with its eerie surreal tone and will also just hit you with some of the most incredible lines ever written that will get stuck in your brain and not leave for months!! it's about religious trauma and capitalism and living and dying in a broken system and burning that system to the ground and devotion and sacrifice and monstrousness and getting to choose the thing that eats you. with one season left to go it's perhaps slightly too early to call it a masterpiece, but.... yeah TO ME it's a masterpiece <3

so yeah this got a lot longer than i meant it to but tl;dr if you're into horror or even if you just don't mind horror please please listen to the silt verses. it's weird and gross and freaky and funny and rough around the edges at first and it's worth every second of your time
