Something needs to be done about the red heifers!
youtube
I believe that I don’t have to explain why this sacrifice can’t come to pass. If you don’t know, fanatical religious groups are planning to tear down the Al aqsa mosque after killing a red cow and that mosque is not only sacred to Muslim countries but also Muslims over the world!
This awful ritual must be stopped or else, WORLD WAR III! If we can prevent the cow from being slaughtered then they can’t destroy Al aqsa. There is a link to a petition to save the cows in the video. Sign it if you’re able to.

youre a christian? do you study the word, not get a peptalk on sunday and throw a few amens? God orderd the isrealites more than once to completely destroy other clans . they arent arguing or retaliating. they are fighting for survival through pbediance. it wa peaceful- isreal responded tonan attack on their soil - this is prophetical. . the temple is suppose to b rebuilt- but they waited they got the land back 50 years ago, i dont understand WHY it is the way it is, but this is cultures that have been at odds since palistine sold their birthright to isreal for a bowl of stew. TRULEY evil, war, violence- sucks - we are all evil- seek answers in prayer, bible, teachers you trust. there really is only 1 side- Gods. the koran and bible were n agreement until this " war" began w/ 2 brothers. i dont know his breason or plans - but he prepared His people and said When you see "these things" prepare. ii hope that wasnt an attack - only my opinion filtered through my limited understsnding. i was feeling the passion - just hoping to give you another avenue to channel it. thankyou for stiring the thoughts
I ain't reading this shit dumbfuck

Yeah if your friend is trying to argue isreal is a theocracy that would set off alarm bells for me, to be fair I’m aware Judaism isn’t just a religion but is an ethnicity and a culture as well, and I’m aware isreal doesn’t prohibit the worship of other religions so it’s probably not a theocracy
I’ve heard it described as a tribe but the term tribe to me seems more like an older form of governance then anything else? Which is not meant to dismiss the connection to those people and cultures but it seems like it gets kinda jumbled it exists alongside cities or settlements or nations, etc,
But as you said like “chair” it’s hard to Lind down a specific definition for any of these things
Which is why I question them getting things like tax exempt status in the US, if you can’t define it in some sense how d you determine what does or doesn’t get taxed? Feels way to easy to exploit but hey, the religious right has a stranglehold on this country
I would also argue that we shouldn’t act like religious beliefs aren’t in some way related to the actions that they motivate
What I view as a form of dissonance to an extent,
As an example a bigoted Christian and a progressive Christian are both still Christian, and both fully believe they’re doing gods work, and both have the exact same evidence to suggest as much,
They can’t both be right yet neither has real evidence in either direction, and both think the other one are the “bad Christian”
Hence why legislation based on religious texts or ideals is in my opinion faulty by concept. And why I find religious morality to be less ideologically sound,
At no point would I ever argue for the removal of religion, again it’s such a vague definition that such a thing would be Impossible, heck the satanic temple seem pretty alright at least in their founding texts, but I think for obvious reasons scientific understanding empathy and reason should be at the forefront of any morality and society, but of course it’s up for people to decide what they want to believe, regardless of evidence, I’m not gonna thought police I’ll leave that to the evangelical’s lol
This rant kinda got away from me lmao
Dear atheist anon,
lovely to hear from you again
"to be fair I’m aware Judaism isn’t just a religion but is an ethnicity and a culture as well, and I’m aware isreal doesn’t prohibit the worship of other religions so it’s probably not a theocracy"
you are doing more critical thinking in the face of your own ignorance than most pro-pals. That's something I value in atheist communities is the critical thinking and awareness of their own ignorance.
"I’ve heard it described as a tribe but the term tribe to me seems more like an older form of governance then anything else?" We've a tribe in the sense that we're a people, a ethnic group with our own religion not in the sense that a king or high priest governs us.
"Which is why I question them getting things like tax exempt status in the US, if you can’t define it in some sense how d you determine what does or doesn’t get taxed? Feels way to easy to exploit but hey, the religious right has a stranglehold on this country"
While it's possible to make something a protected class without quite defining what something is, I don't think any religion should be tax exempt unless they're a charity (and looking at JVP stealing membership donations to line their chapter's pockets or harass Jews or all the conversion therapy non profits charities are just as abusive)
"As an example a bigoted Christian and a progressive Christian are both still Christian, and both fully believe they’re doing gods work, and both have the exact same evidence to suggest as much,"
this where my beloathed no true scotsman fallacy comes in where it's almost like sometimes it feels like where are you getting these wild off the wall readings of the torah or the bible or the Koran that drive one believer into the radicalization and hate while another believer of the SAME faith to peace and coexistance and charity (the good kind). I think it's because they decide the actions first and then modify their beliefs of their faith to match but that's my theory.
Hence why legislation based on religious texts or ideals is in my opinion faulty by concept. And why I find religious morality to be less ideologically sound,
NO NO laws that are based solely on the "the bible says so" or "the koran says so" or even the rarer "WELL it's in the Torah" are pretty scary. Just in concept. You made your religion law? NO!
I guess it's the Russian "organized religion is the opium of the masses"* and the American "separate church and state" in me
"At no point would I ever argue for the removal of religion,"
GOOD! "not anti-theist" seal of appoval earned!
again it’s such a vague definition that such a thing would be Impossible, heck the satanic temple seem pretty alright at least in their founding texts
Yeah a lot of satanists and pagans are really nice people with really cool inclusive philosophies and the few requisite weirdos here and there
"it’s up for people to decide what they want to believe, regardless of evidence,"
Implying you do have evidence? or ....
"I’m not gonna thought police I’ll leave that to the evangelical"
yeah you'd be suprised how many frindge movements thought police people
please write again,
Cecil
*I think cultural marxism it's when they teach racism and terms for LGBT stuff in schools it's when you have some weird Marxist idea that religion is inherently evil rolling around in your mind when you're a practicing Jew and not Marxist at all because you grew up in early putin russia and that was normalized then before Putin got into christofascism

"community is all we have left! we have to stick together!!" big words when coming from the folks who couldn't stick together with their community and fucking vote
I just *rubs temples* do they not understand that "their community" is going to include abusers and republicans?? community building sucks ass sometimes and leaders have to do right by people even if they're being shitheads. Mutual aid isn't the punitive justice system and they'll have to help people who aren't actively hurting anyone equally. There's going to be people with terrible pasts that they hate that they have to feed because without some kind of aid these unpleasant people will die.
Which means that even if what people were saying about Harris was true (evil, basically republican, supported isreal) she was still standing up for people, and marginalized communities wanted folks to vote for her so things would be safer for their communities given the choices. But by beaking line and not voting people helped create a situation of mass flight to mutual aid groups in search of support and comfort. A situation that many of them benefitted from financially. People are pocketing donations as compensation for "time" as an organizer they they won't be getting had the election results been different.
I want people to think real hard before joining these groups about where the interests of the people running them lie. Are they invested in feeding your fear about the future so it puts more money in their wallets? Are they chasing societal collapse so they can feel like a hero like the jan 6 issurectionists did? Are they willing to feed and clothe people who do not ideologically agree with them/who aren't "correctly" marginalized? Are they scamming you? Are they willing to cast people out of the community?
Remember: that can become you. The standards can change until someone who was ever republican, or who ever was friends with a republican, or ever had a roommate that was a republican, etc becomes a target. Suddenly being queer isn't enough, you need to be a woman to be free from sin. Etc. I recommend that folks not trust people like this, they only create intracommunity conflict and other bullshit.
You don't have to follow the lead of someone who did a disservice to you by not voting. You can community build under different leadership or even lead a group yourself. Bigger idiots than you have done it. I promise.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 we read...
14 for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
15 And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
17 Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.
The attempt to mix God with pagan rituals is nothing new. The Jews tried to do it all through out the OT, the new Christians had trouble letting go of some things, new churches were infiltrated with pagan and gnostic rituals, the catholic church was founded with the mixture from the get go. Paul was constantly fighting this, the proof in his Epistles. Jesus warned the churches in Revelation. Jesus told several churches he would remove their candle if they did not repent and turn back to him.
God sent the nations of Isreal and Judah back into slavery. Discern the times, the events and see where things are going. There will not be another heavenly warning. Only people trying to wake you up. The next coming will be judgement, and hiding behind your church, priest, pastor, family tradition, or whatever excuse you can think of is not going to save you.
Jesus is coming back for his virgin bride, not a whore. Repent and come out from among them or be partakers in her sins and plagues.

i would love if you'd shared everything that might be in aelin's list in a world away, all the dream places she wants to go or already went 🤧🥺
First of all - I am so sorry it’s taken me so long to answer this ask 😭
Second - this list is in no way complete. I could probably double it if I gave it some more time (and maybe I’ll edit this post and add some later) but I wanted to answer this ask.
Third - some things listed are cities, some are attractions, some are landmarks or monuments…it’s really a mix of everything. And some major landmarks that cover more than one country are only listed once.

why any religious book doesn’t specify the medicine of cancer or cure for lot more diseases. which is important, having sex with war captive or cure for cancer?
why there is no historical evidence that before Abraham in isreal no prophet were existed. in geologist, archeologists etc. for example Noah/Nuh was the prophet before abraham, but no where in history book, archeological book or science book has the evidence of him nor the flood.
why after the Abraham all the ancient religion become fake
why there Druze exist?
why islam spread by war?
story of Maria al-Qibtiyya
why islam supports slaves? why prophet has four women slaves?
if I ever have the privilege to talk with the God THE ULTIMATE POWER, wouldn’t I ask something that solves lot of questions in humanity? what does islam solves that is not solveable by other religion?

why we are praying? what it benefits the god?
why does god care so much about his creation?
if Hadith’s are written after 200years of Prophet’s death at the golden age of islam. how can we ensure it is 100% preserved?
why khilafat needed by war? not by peace or love?
evolution support in Islam
if jews and christianity are believing in different prophet why we (and prophet) hated them so much?
why islam supports destroying other religious temple?
if Quran is the complete guideline for humanity and it has all political and humanitarian aspect and we can not change it. how we can evolve as a species? how new ideas will be welcomed? doesn’t it shuts down many doors?

David - the shepherd. His existence had extensive meaning! Where are YOU?
Caring for sheep, anointed future king of Isreal by Samuel while he was watching his father’s flock! From facing beasts, giants, suicide missions, coup d’etats, civil wars, and endless battles with enemy nations, David was so steeped in violence – and forced to be violent – that it disqualified him from building the Temple of the LORD (1 Chronicles 22:8; 28:3). Samuel anointed David when he was…

From Jesus to Christ: The First Christians, Part One (full documentary) ...
COMMENTARY:
The premise that Paul's Epistles are the first writings of Christianity impoverishes the literature of the Bible, It reduces the magnificent tapestry of the narrative to napkins in the trash at Mickey D's. Tertullian reports an intelligence report form Judea regarding the Christians impelled Tiberius to propose making Jesus a Roman god. Cornelius and Jesus shared a common ontology as God Fearers./ As a combat crazed Vietnam veteran, I share that ontology, When I confess to being a God Fearer, I am referring to Yaweh, Queen of Battle, She who must be obeyed, it's why you go into the Airborne This is what is missing from the Marxist interpretation of the Jesus Seminar, Pope Benedict's interpretation of Pauline Theology is a Marxist product of a Fascist dialectic, That is the Supply side of the Supply-Demand dynamic of Adam Smith economics. Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations defines Salt Water economics. Paul Krugman's Peddling Prosperity is the leading edge of Salt Water economics as a dynamical process. As an example of applied Fresh Water economics, Marxism is to Adam Smith what Ayn Rand's Virtue of Selfishness is to Ethics. The Jesus Seminar is a Fresh Water process, Jimmy Tabor has built his academic career in the quest for a public latrine where Jesus might have taken a shite, but we know for sure where Paul did. The face of the analog of the 12 hours AM/PM clock is a gift of the Mai Jesus help accelerate in the global culture, The 24 hour noon-noon clock and the Rose compass are essential tools of terrestrial navigation, I taught land navigation at Ft, Benning as an instructor in Introduction to Ranger Training,, Part of the practical metaphysics that let us stand on the moon, In the Wilderness, Jesus bet the Devil that he could convert Israel from the Temple Worship of the Whore of Babylon to Pauline Theology, Pauline Theology is the ethical basis for the Israeli Defense Force as an instrument of state. Paul was a faithful servant of both Moses and Jesus's version of the Shemah in Mark 13:29 - 31. Everything up to Jesus is a rough draft, Pauline Theology is the finished product. The IDF, Gal Gadot, Benny Gantz, and Tel Aviv is what Jesus was proposing for Isreal, And he bet the Devil he could do it by public debate, alone, The Devil bet He couldn't do it without feeing the 5000 and the 4000, without starting a new religion and performing some death defying stunt. Jesus wept because He knew He had lost the bet and the Cross was the pot. The Gospel of Peter is the oral testimony captured by scribes associated with the distribution of the Gospel of Mark out of Alexandria., of Pilate's lost euangelion immediately after the report of the Talking Cross was brought to him by the centurion and soldiers who were at the tomb and the witnesses to the Mark 16:8 ending of the Roman eye witness. This interpretation of Mark 15 is validated by the report of the Sopel of John that Mary Magdalene was at the tomb by herself because there were no other women when she got to Peter's safe house. John Mark is the youth with Peter, John Mark is the author of the Gospel of John and the publisher of the Gospel of Mark, He is the St, Mark entombed at St, Mark's in Venice, Italy, Matthew had access to Quelle after the Jerusalem Conference, as did Paul, Cornelius is the common denominator, when you throw in Peter, who received the substance of Pilate's euangelion from Cornelius off-stage in Acts 10, The first 18 books of the New Testament represent the bibliogrpahy and deliberate research plus the Septuagint that went into the composition of Gebrews as a formal intelligence finding by Theophilus and the bread and wine of the Apostle's Creed that is represented by the Command Sergeant Major of the US Army, The thing is that the Koch brothers underwrite these liberal PBS programing because it spreads the moral confusion that the Koch brothers depend upon to advance their political ambitions, the hostile take-over of America for commercial Fascism. Fresh Water Free Market society like Haiti. That's what the Jesus Seminar is leaving out

Putting aside that I very much feel with the unitarian I feel that either my bible is very weird or there have been some things that are not said out loud. Because:
In the gospels there is scant a word about jews (other than references to earlier prophets) but a lot of talk (and criticism) about Pharisäer (I actually do not have a clue how to translate this but I can give the description from my bible: "Set apart", the strongest religious party since the Maccabean wars, who honored the heritage of Isreal, the Law and the tradition of the Fathers, trusted in the promise of God, therefore also believed in the resurrection of the dead, and above all fought with passionate zeal for the punctual observance of the Law down to the smallest details of everyday life, in order to ensure the fulfillment of the Messianic promise from man. [...] Not only the written down in the law of Moses, but also the orally handed down exact and strict rules of application, the "statutes of the elders", i.e. the older teachers of the law, had to be observed in daily life. Initially a lay movement, they were soon closely associated with the status of the scribes. Their danger was legalism, which could lead to self-righteous pride and unloving harshness. Such excesses are denounced especially in the Gospel of Matthew. The Sadducees contended with the Pharisees for leadership among the people; since the fall of Jerusalem, the Pharisees dominated and shaped the thinking of Judaism.Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version))
This whole braiding a whip straight up doesn’t exist in my version. However he does take offence at the presence of tellers and stuff *in* the temple and throws them out. Which seems oddly reasonable. (See: Markus 11,15-17; Matthew 21, 12f.; Lukas 19,45f.; didn’t find it for Johannes; all three direct sources point to Josaja 56,7)
Isn’t the entire “Jews killed Jesus” a mediveal conspiracy??? Because in the bible I have it is pretty clearly said that the romans were responsible for that to happen other parties may have skewed stuff but ultimately it was the romans doing.
Now, I could be that I am actually wrong on some stuff - I am no expert after all, and even those are not infallible.
Also: What’s it with not calling a jew a jew? Unless it is some kind of english anomaly I have not yet heard about (with this language you actually never know)
how can you be so controversial and yet so brave
(reposted from Twitter)
Hey so, have I ever told you about the time I was at an interfaith event (my rabbi, who was on the panel, didn't want to be the only Jew there), and there was a panel with representatives of 7 different traditions, from Baha'i to Zoroastrian?
The setup was each panelist got asked the same question by the moderator, had 3 minutes to respond, and then they moved on to the next panelist.
The Christian dude talked for 8 minutes and kept waving off the poor, flustered, terminally polite Unitarian moderator.
The next panelist was a Hindu lady, who just said drily, "I'll try to keep my answer to under a minute so everyone else still has a chance to answer." (I, incidentally, am at a table with I think the only other non-Christian audience members, a handful of Muslims and a Zorastrian.)
So then we get to the audience questions part. No one's asking any questions, so finally I decide to get things rolling, and raise my hand and the very polite moderator comes over and gives me the mic.
I briefly explain Stendahl's concept of "holy envy" and ask what each of theirs is.
(If you're not familiar, Stendahl had 3 tenets for learning about other traditions, and one was leave room for "holy envy," being able to say, I am happy in my tradition and don't desire to convert, but this is something about another tradition that I admire and wish we had.)
The answers were lovely. My rabbi said she admired the Buddhist comfort with silence and wished we could learn to have that spaciousness in our practice. The Hindu said she admired the Jewish and Muslim commitment to social justice & changing, rather than accepting, the status quo.
The Christian dude said he envied that everyone else on the panel had the opportunity to newly accept Jesus.
I shit you not.
Dead silence. The Buddhist and Baha'i panelists are resolutely holding poker faces. The Hindu lady has placed her hands on the table and folded them and seems to be holding them very tightly. Over on the middle eastern end of the table, the rabbi, the imam, and the Zoroastrian lady are all leaning away from the Christian at identical angles with identical expressions of disgust. The terminally polite Unitarian moderator is literally wringing his hands in distress.
A Christian lady at the table next to me, somehow unable to pick up on the emotional currents in the room, sighs happily and says to her fellow church lady, "What a beautiful answer."
anyway I love my rabbi to death and would do anything for her
except attend another interfaith event

A question I like to ask, I always thought Jesus praised God and followed the ten commandments, I thought there was a difference between lucifer and satan.. when u watch what's happening in Palestine, u would think Isreal has been lead astray, when it comes to religion there are other ways,, but that is politics, that is government, that is economics, that is worldly conquest, that is dehumanization, that is un-American... regimes of state.. the pursuits of happiness being bombed away.. at what point was it not a sacrifice..
Effin millennial why,, if u where to ask truth, truth would tell you everything happening is a bunch of criminal elite secret societies trying to build a the third temple on the mount,, and if that sounds crazy, good, with the times, but they've believed there occulty beliefs n shit for like ever, passing down through generations,, and now it doesn't make sense lol,, everything's changed, knowledge and science and research and information changed everything, with everyone more connected, so they in a rush racing people waking up to understanding everything Is happening and everything is like this,,
Because everything there doing is selfish...
And they have these agendas that fucking crazy, like getting people to believe in fucking aliens..

Like David in the temple. I wanna bring You praise.
Like David and his temple plans, Your ways are not my ways.
You don't need me to build a temple to know you love me still.
Like Isreal on the shore, All I see are crashing waves.
Like Isreal on the shore, Through the wild you make a way.
You don't call where you dont lead.
Like Moses in the desert, I wanna see the land.
Like Moses in the desert, I can't fully see your plan.
Still Your love doesn't stop when I see the land from the mountaintop.
Like Peter on the hill, I wanna make this my place.
Like Peter on the hill, for your transfigured face.
I will go where You go, I will stay.
Like Mary in the city, I wanna trust you always.
Like Mary in the city, Your favour rests upon the lowly.
And through you, all things are possible.
