Arizona
California
Florida
Massachusetts
Nevada
New Hampshire
New York
South Dakota
Tennessee
Texas
Washington state
Wyoming
You may be eligible. Let’s help them roll this out so we don’t need to rely on third party companies who just want to grab our money for something that should be free.

Kamala Harris *Before Election*: Here's a detailed, 80 page, digestible read ... on exactly what I plan to do to revamp the economy.
Dumbasses *After Election*: She never talked about her plan for the economy.
What Harris failed to understand is that the majority of people would rather fuck themselves than take a thirty minute reading break.

Mira Lazine at LGBTQ Nation:
On Thursday, the United States House of Representatives passed a bill that would give authority to the Treasury Department to revoke a 501c non-profit’s tax-exempt status if they’re believed to support terrorism.
House Resolution 9495, also known as the “Stop Terror-Financing and Tax Penalties on American Hostages Act,” was sponsored by Rep. Tenney Claudia (R-NY) and passed through the house in a 219–184 vote. It has gone through multiple different forms since it was initially introduced in response to pro-Palestine organizers in the wake of the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel. According to anthropologist and legal scholar Darryl Li, who spoke to Democracy Now, this bill exists exclusively as a means for the right-wing to crush their political opponents, especially those who advocate for the rights of Palestinians, who were recently found by the International Criminal Court to be victims of war crimes enacted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “This bill is essentially a civil rights disaster, that
would allow the government to shut down nonprofits on the smear of being terrorist-supporting organizations
. This law requires an accusation with no evidence, but a tie-in. It’s an accusation that nonprofits are supporting a group on one of the existing international terrorism lists
The bill is essentially discriminatory by design,” he said. “Initially, it did have significant bipartisan support, because, of course, anti-Palestinian racism is one of the great bipartisan unifiers in Congress.”
Rep. Jason Smith (R-MO) justified the bill as a plain way to defund terrorism. “We, as members of Congress, have the duty to make sure that taxpayers are not subsidizing terrorism. It’s very, very simple,” he said on the House floor.  Smith didn’t provide evidence that any major U.S. non-profit group has ever supported terrorism. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), the only Palestinian-American in Congress, said of the bill, “I don’t care who the president of the United States is. This is a dangerous and unconstitutional bill that would allow unchecked power to target nonprofit organizations as political enemies and shut them down without due process.” The bill doesn’t just pose a danger to advocates for war refugees trapped in Gaza, but also possibly to LGBTQ+ nonprofits as well. As the Trump-Vance campaign spent record numbers on anti-trans ad spending, it is increasingly likely that they could use this bill as a pretense to attack the many nonprofits that advocate for LGBTQ+ individuals. Li details that this could be the case for just about anyone who is a political opponent of the ruling administration.
[...] “Right-wingers and white supremacists in Congress can support this bill, with the assurance that their allies, right-wing extremist groups, are highly, highly unlikely to ever be targeted by this bill, because there isn’t going to — it’s much less likely that they will be smeared with an accusation of being tied to an international terrorist organization that’s already on one of the government lists,” Li said. Groups that could be on the chopping block with this bill include the American Civil Liberties Union, Planned Parenthood, the Human Rights Campaign, as well as nonprofit news outlets like Mother Jones or ProPublica.
HR9495 is an attack on nonprofit organizations, and Donald Trump and his allies can twist the definition of “supporting terrorism” to not only include pro-Palestinian groups, but also pro-abortion access and pro-LGBTQ+ groups (or any group that opposes the MAGA movement).
It’s time to kill this immoral bill in the Senate.

you know the contrast between how Vergil is presented vs thinking too hard about Vergil’s story is pretty funny. Man’s reputation is this iconic badass, the pinnacle of what video game rivalries can be, the coolest guy to play as, the guy who breaks every game he’s added to,
and then you go to the story and like. man’s lost his free will and autonomy at 19 and then came back a fractured man half of which was a lovecraftian eye beast the other half of which was a chronically ill goth man. and then he reunites and hes in like his 40s now I believe but legit the last time he was actually in a game where he wasn’t being mind controlled when he was 19 which is both sad but also thinking about how this guy who’s considered one of the top badasses of gaming has never really lived life outside of being a teenager.
Anyways this is the secret comedic potential of post DMC5 for Vergil because not only has the human world probably changed a fair bit in terms of technology, if he’s sticking around Dante he’s gonna actually have to learn in depth how taxes and grocery shopping work. Amazing.

Ron Desantis is a dumbass full stop, he cares more about the culture war then actually doing things that improve the lives of people within Florida. The legislation would make it easier for financial crimes and trafficking to occur which is ironic given his staunch stance on drug crime. It's almost laughable how often Ron's legislation blows up in his face like when he cracked down of migrants causing the primary workers in agriculture to flee the state? The there's his disastrous presidential campaign and all that happened, honestly he's a joke which is awful considering he's governor of Florida! I hope he gets voted out sooner rather than later, but then again as long as Ron Desantis bangs on the drums of the culture war he can draw republican voters cause apparently being anti-woke is more important to the economy.

OK, so good news(?); either the temple is so dilapidated that it isn't worth taxing (considering its in a part of the city that's so old the modern city is built on top of it: fair) or else Durge will be going to jail for tax evasion... Oh dear, it looks like it's time for the apocalypse! What a shame that will interfere with the court date!
Also they seem to expect the bank to still be standing once they're done razing the city and they are a fucking terrible employer:
Player: "Fine. I'll open an account." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Splendid! New coin and customers always welcome. We need only settle the matter of Waukeen's Wage." Player: "I've recently come into a large estate. Could I sign it against that as a guarantee instead?" Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Naturally. We serve the Gate's oldest families - not all have cash in hand. What kind of establishment would we be if we saw value in coin alone? Could you provide the address of your property?" Player: "It's in the Undercity." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Oh, by the Coinmaiden! How, er, quaint. And the name of the manor?" Player: "Erm, the Bhaal Temple." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Is that B-H-A-A-L or B-A-L-L?" Player: "Bhaal. As in, the Lord of Murder." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Silly me - of course! Let me check our records..." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "I'm afraid your estate is not registered on the Sword Coast customs censuses - have you been paying your mansion taxes? Or perhaps it isn't valued highly enough to be above the threshold." Player: "It is an illustrious household. We employ paid help!" Narrator: *You wonder how many years ago it was you last gave Sceleritas so much as a table scrap of your dinner, let alone any paycoin.*
Hey, he's a fiend! He has no biological needs to pay for, and I dread to think what he'd spend money on.
And more of Durge being a hilariously entitled brat:
Player: "The indignity! I'm heir to one of the oldest families in this city!" Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Then why not bring the gold for the account? Father not given out your allowance yet?"
Good question!
BHAAL. WHERE THE FUCK IS MY POCKET MONEY.
That said, I don't think Bhaal has ever had estate in the city whose existence he predates and I don't think that they have any claim on the Anchev's stuff (assuming they weren't nouveau-riche). Then again, the temple is technically Bhaal's house, has been there forever, and as a god he does outrank the nobility, so... they're kind of right?
"I am a god and an honorary Patriar, you peasants."
Player: "Fool! I will soon hold the treasures of the world over, as all tremble in stricken awe." Head Clerk Meadhoney: "Do come back when you do!"

No, kitten.
Tax evasion and hating poor people is NOT a substitute for a personality.
Nor is it a personality trait.
Now run along, Daddy is currently trying to find patterns in things that aren’t there.
