As someone who's been a Team Starkid fan since the beginning, since 2009... do the young fans who only know hatchetfield know the old lore?? Do you know about crying in the choir room?? ADHD double dash: I forgot to pay my car taxes, so there's a warrant out for my arrest. except it was actually just a warning letter, and my partner read it too fast and thought it was a warrant

Stuff I use regularly that's technically not a mobility aid but sure help me get places I otherwise wouldn't be able to

Bicycle - Fairly obvious one. Gets me to the shops fast without killing my legs like walking or driving would. I can even lean on it when I'm walking with it to still take weight off my questionable knees!

Noise cancelling headphones - Going out used to be a pain for the whole family because you can only spend so long out when you don't know where the next "safe" toilet is. The world opened up so much more to me when I no longer had to worry about extractor fans and hand dryers.

Long sleeved shirt/jacket - Contamination OCD freaking sucks but fortunately I've got it mild enough that if I cover my hand while touching stuff like buttons and door handles my brain doesn't go too crazy. So it's useful to have something with nice long sleeves I can retreat my hands into. I'd use gloves but they make my hands feel uncomfortable.

Bottle of hand sanitizer - Similar to the above one. Sometimes I'm having a bit of An Episode™ and everything is extra dirty or I dropped something on The Ground and can't just leave it somewhere until my brain forgets it's supposed to be toxic. Squirting a ton of gel onto the offending hand/object is a lot quicker and easier than retreating to the nearest bathroom to go clean it, and most of the time it's enough to keep The Thoughts at bay.

A solid pair of walking/military/safety boots - Combined with my arch supports, I can manage a bit more walking without totally killing my legs. I think it's the ankle support? With black leather military ones I can even wear them with formal wear under a long enough pair of trousers. They're not so fun when it's hot, but while I can function on a pair of trainers, walking boots are my usual everyday shoe. My latest pair even have hooks at the top instead of lace holes so I can either have them as slipon trainers with extra ankle if I'm going cycling or for a long car ride, or I can quickly lace them up all the way if I'm going walking. I was absolutely spoiled by a pair of leather safety boots I got a year or so ago. When they were new, I could walk to the morrisons on the other side of town and back and the only pain I had was from tying the laces too tight. Unfortunately the leather stretched and the boots got too big.

im behind so much and if i want to stay above the red im gonna be working this month with absolutely no days off, which ive already been doing to the point of burnout. i just need enough to get myself through the month, while still working myself. ill update my goal with both what im making myself and with whatever anyones able to send in. please, im busting my ass for what feels like pennies atp

There’s this pretty big disparity I’ve noticed between how nolan (omniman) is interpreted in mainstream stuff vs his like actual character in both show/comic

Fanon nolan interpretation:

-doesn’t feel remorse or empathy

-oh he’s soooo cool he’s so swag and smooth talking

-genuinely doesn’t care for his son esp not his wife

-never cared for the guardians

-you don’t get it he’s actually right guys!! Genocide good!

-this also ties in with just reducing mark to the “guy who gets beat up nonstop” and debbie to “the pet”

-they definitely think this version of nolan abides by human bigotry shit like sexism

Canon nolan (according to show and comic):

-oblivious to A LOT of social cues and overall very socially inept (very blunt and dry tone of voice so he always sounds kinda mad even if he isn’t)

-actually cares about his family and friends but has trouble expressing it verbally, more show than tell

-cared ab the guardians and they were his friends but he repressed the hell out of what he did bc of guilt (and he’s dumb)

-says things like “curses” and “moon it up”

-monologues a bunch like holy shit

-very physically affectionate with the people he’s v close too (he also smiles guys!)

-makes jokes without trying (kinda hard to catch bc of the deadpan tone at times)

-would realistically be confused by earth’s own forms of bigotry and shit

-bookworm and wrote and documented things even before becoming a writer on earth!

-feels extreme remorse and guilt for his past actions but again has trouble showing it

Crack AU where the entirety of Detroit : Become Human is just the plot of an afternoon playdate between the human child versions of Markus, Alice and Connor. The reason for why they have three diffrent plots is because they couldn't agree on what exactly to play. Kara INSISTED that she wanted to play something with her new doll, Alice. Connor being an overexcited 6 y/o just wanted to be a cool robot detective who's like super smart and super strong and looks really, really cool. Only god knows what had Markus deciding on what his character should be. Since they are only three kids they decided the most logical option is just playing each of what they wanted and switching between eachother. And taking the side (read : uninteresting) roles in the stories of the other. The only person involved in this madness that isn't switching characters like switching clothes is Connor's grandpa chaperoning the playdate, Hank. The reason for why he freaks out everytime Connor in dbh dies is because he just grows increasingly worried about his grandon's apparent love for dying (and the plot of this playdate in general)

Why was I walking around Center City one day and I thought I looked haggard as fuck but this woman on the street shouted that she loved my dress so I shouted back "OLD NAVY!" When I lived in Southwest Philly, I had an older neighbor who sat on his porch all day long and he didn't go inside until he knew all his neighbors were home safe. One time, he didn't see my car but he saw lights on in my house so he knocked on the door to make sure I was okay. I also used to walk around the neighborhood a lot and he was like, "Hey, I'm worried about you doing this all alone and I have a dog that I can't really walk anymore because I'm old. Would you be interested in taking her out with you so she gets some exercise and you get to stay safe because you have a big scary dog?" YES. When I moved to a different neighborhood, we had a snowstorm the night I moved in. I went outside to clean my car the next morning and it had already been done and there was a note on my car that said, "Welcome to the hood, may Allah be with you."

Does your city have Elmo leading a drum line while a junk yard burns in Port Richmond? Does your city have Batman show up to protect protestors? Does your city have Gritty? No and that sucks for you but it's not our fault we're so popular. Fuck you, Go Birds.
