Can you do a chubby reader? Asking for me 👉👈
Unconditional Cw: body shame, fluff, protective Gaz, self-hate, tell me if I missed any.
You often wondered to yourself why Kyle was still with you, someone unlikable, someone unfitting of the universal standards, someone so clumsy and so self-conscious —someone so fat. You weren’t like him, an adonis walking in the human world, his beautiful brown eyes, so warm and adoring, his smooth skin in the prettiest shade of chocolate that had you salivating and his smile, oh did it make you swoon, eager to drop on your knees for a man like him to give you a second of his attention.
Yet you wouldn’t have to beg for him, to drop to te ground with pleas when he already did it, whispering lovely things to you while he kept his eyes on you, never fleeting towards anyone else as if you were his whole world —you were. He loved you; he adored you, willing to do anything for a smidgen of your time, a small, tender smile of your pretty lips, the softness of your thighs and your warm body, always keeping him safe in the cool, winter times. He made sure to voice his devotion, speaking loudly and proudly how he loved you, unbothered by the venomous and envious stares of picture-perfect women with a model-like complexion. You held a piece of his heart as much as he had yours.
You told yourself that you were just lucky to find yourself someone so accepting, and he would tell you that this was fate, that he was bound to find you and fall head over heels for you despite your imperfections and queerness. He placed you on a pedestal that he was unwilling to let you move from, the shining star in his life, the gem in his eyes. He was chivalrous, a gentleman in today’s standards, treating you so well and confessing his love whenever he could. He took you out and fought to pay for you, reasoning that he was better paid than you and that he had to since he was the one who invited you (despite your exasperated complaints about wanting to repay him without depending on him soo much).
Perhaps that’s why your appreciation bloomed so brightly in your heart in moments like these, his beautiful face screwed in an offended frown, brows pinched and lips curled down. He showed his annoyance through small ticks: gritting his teeth, playing with his hands or jerking his foot beneath the table, but they were so small, inconsequential that most people ignored it for his pretty face.
“Hey, is this seat taken?” The woman - stranger - who’d approached your table looked like a model, a slim hourglass bodice, swaying breasts and round hips. She walked with confidence, her face curled with an air of sensuality and pride, so sure of herself when she had a perfect body.
Despite Kyle’s unamused expression, his eyes dulling, she fluttered her lashes, beating her long, doe extensions, expecting him to tell her what she wanted to hear. She’d probably been given everything she’s ever wanted, using her seductive appearance to garner attention and material with lower men, lonely and tired men, but Kyle Garrick was none of them, he was soft, he was gentle and he was sympathetic, much more human than people would give him credit for, for being a SAS soldier.
“Yes, sorry,” his tone was mellow, hiding well his distaste for her blatant ignorance of you, pushing you aside to make herself the center of his attention. She liked basking in attention. “I’m on a date.”
Her expression tore between shock and offensiveness, hardly containing her scoff when she glanced at you, chubby cheeks, round eyes and softer curves than her sharpness. Her narrowed eyes and little sneer made you flush in embarrassment, the shame boiling in your guts with a destructive self-consciousness about your weight and appearance. You avoided her gaze, preferring to stare at your fumbling hands, fingers knotting together in a mix of anxiety and hate. Kyle caught that.
“Are you-”
“I bloody am,” it was blunt, coldly snapping at her. It shocked the both of you, your demure boyfriend changed for something vicious and guarding. His usually comfortable and easily-approachable character became tall and imposing, someone you wouldn’t want to anger as he completely ignored her in favour of reaching out for you, taking your hands in his soft and warm ones. “Excuse us, but we have places to go.”
Rounding the table, he walked you out, arm wrapped around your pudgy stomach, the rolls plush under his hold, kneading your hip in soothing comfort. He leaned over to place a soft kiss on your forehead, smiling at your avoiding eyes, flushed and oh, so in love with the man you dated.
“Don’t worry, darling. You’re the only one in my eyes.”
He brushed away that pretty girl for you. It made your heart throb hotly, something warm weighing on your chest. It didn’t hurt, rather, it soothed your ache and fears, washing away the dark clouds of doubt and hate that hung over you.
Perhaps you truly were fated to be together.

Don't worry, ladies. The Men Designers have heard our cry for bigger better pockets, and have decided what we REALLY mean is that our tiny lady pockets make us look fat, so we still get tiny ass, useless pockets, BUT NOW THEY SQUISH YOUR PESKY BODY IN, YOU'RE WELCOME.

TW: Anon hate
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dear pathetic anon in my inbox,
thank you for the laughter.😂😂😂 I really needed that.
I don’t know why you're having a problem with protected sex in fanfic (seriously??) ... but okay... 🤐 Being dumb is not a crime, I guess ... harassing people on the other hand is a crime...
Try and touch some grass yourself.
I never got cheated on in my life. It’s called imagination. My blog also mentions AB/O and I'm not an omega... And you should decide whether you believe I'm an old virgin or if my husband has cheated on me and my stinky pussy (she smells great by the way). You can’t have it all.🙃
An advice for the next time you want to send someone hate to criticize their writing and insult them:
The first thing you need to do is learn how to write a proper sentence.
Don’t send them word vomit. It is essential to use punctuation marks as well as capital and small initial letters.
If you hate my stories so much, simply stay off my blog and read something else.
It's not that hard acting like a decent person on the internet.
All you have to do is scroll past something you don't like.

Oh wow the fans are really on one today, huh?
I am a lifetime survivor of bullying, first and foremost based on my weight (because bullies are unoriginal and weight is the easiest target) and I'm here to tell you this:
Fuck the fuck off if you're in anybody's business about their body. Be it positive, negative, or anything in between. Nobody needs or wants your opinion. Go the fuck away. -signed, a fat fuck who fucks fatly

fun fact! the reason I quit dance (something I loved as a child) was not in fact because I didn’t think I’d have the time in middle school with new extracurriculars like I told my mom!
no, it was because I was so sick and tired of fellow dancers saying I was too fat to do jazz or hip hop or tap and you can fucking forget lyrical, and the studio made us pay extra for “plus size” costumes for recitals!!
stop fucking fat shaming people!!! funnily enough, we have feelings just like you!! our weight does not define our worth!!
Just thought people may enjoy this :)

I don't think we talk enough about fatphobia and eds in the cosplaying community enough. The amount of people weknow, including us, that developed, or had an ed get worse (ours got worse), an ed, because "no one wants to see a fat cosplayer," or "I have to stay thin for my cosplays," or "looking tiny and cute makes people click on the post.

Tl;Dr: OP is right; I’m elaborating. Everybody deserves respect, regardless of their size or health.
I would like to add too- statistically, it is virtually impossible to stop being fat. 95% of people who calorically restrict will regain some, all, *or more* of the weight they gained. This has been proven in study after study for years. The studies that show “successful” weight loss typically stop follow up at less than 1 year, when usually weight regain will happen from year 2-5.
The reason that weight loss companies make lots of money is a direct result of this reality- if everyone could be successful, they would have done it already and the companies would go out of business.
Yes, you can lose weight by restricting, be it a “lifestyle change”, “diet” or what have you. But our bodies did not evolve to easily let fat go. There are a range of hormonal and physiological changes that happen when you put yourself into a starvation situation, which will make it fail.
Not to mention, even if there was a way for someone to sustainably lose weight *which there is not*, there is no evidence that it would make you healthier- studies show that previously fat bodies are different to always thin bodies. And there is a consistently replicated effect that fatter people are often more resilient to surgeries and other illnesses. Weight scientists call it the “*besity paradox” because they can’t fathom a world in which being fatter is a good thing 🙄
AND, even if you could keep weight off, AND it would make you healthier, the idea that you have to be skinny or healthy to be worthy of respect is in and of itself an incredibly ableist idea. Some of us will never and can never be “healthy”, regardless of our size. That doesn’t mean we don’t deserve respect.
Before anyone comes at me with junk science about health and weight:
A. Even if the science wasn’t incredibly biased because it is almost all funded by people profiting off weight loss… see my above point about lack of a reliable way to lose weight and lack of evidence that weight loss = health.
A key example of how bullshit it all is.. in the 90s, the BMI categories got changed overnight.. making millions of people who were previously considered “healthy” to now be “unhealthy”. It’s all arbitrary. And if you don’t know how nonsense the BMI is, google it.
B. Correlation does not imply causation. There is no illness that only fat people get. Everything we may get also happens to thin people too.
Not to mention, you know what else increases risk of illness? Fat stigma, discrimination, not going to see the doctor for a long time cause you’ve experienced dismissal from medical professionals time and time again, poverty (also correlated to fatness).
C. No one owes you their health. No one is obligated to be healthy to deserve respect. No one owes you their story or justification for why they are fat or unhealthy, so you can judge them to be ok.
I would like people- especially thin people- to really notice how much of our lives is predicated on diet culture and the terror of being fat. It is everywhere. And then consider how it might feel for someone who is fat to be constantly in that toxic soup, hearing how their reality is worse than death. It’s pretty shit.
My last point, because I’ve rambled enough. Even if fat people aren’t around- please stop talking about your diet. Nobody cares, and it’s really really boring. There are so many other things in the world to think about.
You know I wish fatphobia was less pervasive. Even among people who consider themself as progressive, it's rampant. So quick reminder. No it's actually not easy to stop being fat, and it sucks that we are treated differently for something we really can't control. Shaming a fat person for being fat, and shaming them for not having the "willpower" to become skinny- is bigotry. And if all you talk to fat people about is weight loss and dieting- congratulations! You're being a dick! Stop.

imaginary brother idea
This is a story idea I'd love to turn into a visual novel someday, and I hope to work in collaboration with my sister to make that happen eventually (she would do the programming and artwork, I would do the writing and maybe help with finding music/sound effects).
I don't have a solid grasp of the plot yet, just a basic premise. The main character is a ten-year-old boy named David who lives with his mom, who has to work long hours to support them. David is something of a loner and doesn't really have any friends, but he does have an older brother named Jonathan, who is fourteen and David's best friend. Jonathan is basically the ideal older brother - he's smart, fun, cool, always seems to know what to do or what to say, and never complains about having to spend time with his kid brother. He genuinely likes hanging out with David, and David looks up to him so much.
There's just one catch: Jonathan is imaginary.
Excerpt below the cut (from a thing I wrote in a burst of inspiration before we got the idea to make this a visual novel).
“What are you talking about?” Jonathan got to his feet and headed for the door. “You have to have supper.”
“No. I'm fat enough already.”
Complete silence fell over the room. Jonathan stood frozen, his hand on the doorknob. Slowly, he turned back to face David. His expression was inscrutable in the dim light. “What did you say?”
David felt tears welling up, burning at the backs of his eyes, and he quickly rolled over to face the wall again. “You heard me,” he whispered.
“Who told you that?” Jonathan's voice was hard. “David, who said that to you?”
David shrugged. “Nobody has to say. Isn't it obvious already? I'm just a...a fat...l-lazy...pathetic....”
The mattress sagged with Jonathan's weight again. This time, he sat right next to the pillow, and David wondered if he could see the tears beginning to leak out again. He wondered if he was going to give him another hug, or rub his back like Mom probably would in such a situation.
To his surprise, Jonathan did neither. Instead, he grabbed David's chin and turned his head a little roughly to face him. “Hey—listen to me, dude. Don't let anybody get away with talking to you like that. Especially not yourself. Hear me?”
David wrenched out of Jonathan's grip, turning his head away again in shame. “Easy for you to say,” he muttered. “You're strong...fast...good at everything.... You don't get picked on every day. You don't...prove how...how uncool you are...every d-day....”
Jonathan snorted. “So just because I don't have to try as hard, that means I'm better than you? Sheesh, you've got a lot to learn about this life if you think that's how it works.”
David peeked over his shoulder at Jonathan, too confused for the moment to continue feeling sorry for himself.
Jonathan was nothing but a silhouette against the orange light streaming in through the window. “So you wanna be cool, huh? Well, why the heck are you listening to those bozos who talk to you like that, then? Why do you want their approval anyway? Sounds to me like all they do is put people down to make themselves feel better. That doesn't sound like a cool person to me. Just sounds like a loser.”
Slowly, David rolled over to a more comfortable position to watch Jonathan's silhouette. “You think so?”
“Hey, I can prove they don't know what they're talking about. Remember Lord of the Rings?”
David nodded. Jonathan had read it to him last year, and then they'd borrowed the movies from the library. He'd watched them over and over until they had to go back. Maybe they should check them out again....
“Okay. Then think about Samwise Gamgee. He's a chubby little Hobbit. A gardener. Not a graceful Elf like Legolas, not a cool sword-wielding warrior like Aragorn. He doesn't have magic like Gandalf. But you know what? If it wasn't for him, the Ring would never have made it to Mordor. Some people say he's the true hero of the story. And did he ever stop to say, 'Oh well, I'm fat, guess I'll give up now'?”
Despite himself, David giggled at the thought. Already, his heart felt lighter. Somehow, Jonathan always seemed able to make anything bearable. He swiped his hand across his eyes again. “So...are you saying that...I'm not fat?”
Jonathan shrugged. “I'm saying, who cares if you're fat or not? Some lame guys at school think you're fat? So what? That's like the oldest insult in the book. Just goes to show you've got more creativity in your little toe than they could ever hope to have.” He could hear a wry smile in Jonathan's voice. “Of all people, I should know that.”
Smiling, David sat up. “Okay. Pot roast?”
With a laugh, Jonathan ruffled his hair. “Sure, pal. Pot roast.”
David beamed. He loved it when Jonathan called him pal. More than anything else Jonathan had said, that was what convinced him: He was cool. He was cool to Jonathan, and that was the only opinion that truly mattered in the end.

"Moxxie's "overweight" jokes are so bad that even fatfobs don't laugh at them. Because Moxxie is NOT overweight! He's skinny as a matchstick! And the worst part is that later in the episodes he begins to be proud of the fact that he was able to lose some weight, although he does not need it, he is skinny. Viv, do you know what it's called? Eating disorders. Do you know what it leads to? Anorexia and bulimia. How can you be so desperate to make your show progressive and tolerant and at the same time so chauvinistic?"

Weight loss is a completely morally neutral personal choice that anyone can make for any reason, but if you choose to lose weight because you hate your fat body, please do the internal work to get over that internalized fatphobia before or during your weight loss efforts. I’ve seen far too many fat people become skinny and immediately turn their internalized fatphobia outwards, and it’s a bad time for everyone. If you have to keep the weight off through a strictly maintained diet and exercise, it’s pretty much inevitable that you will gain some weight back at some point in your life (likely more than you had in the first place if yo-yo dieting is in play), and you will find that all the hatred you projected at the fat community will come back to bite you in the ass with twice the power. Work on loving your fat self while you’re there, and if you choose to lose weight then work on continuing to love your old fat self. Life will feel much better for yourself and the fat people around you that way.
