I kinda just wanna write game reviews here sometimes. *Ahem*

It's pretty damn rare that you find a piece of media like this throughout the course of your life.

One that elegantly, carefully, and lovingly traverses infinite despair in an infinitely more hopeful way. One that shows you that no true problem can be solved in a single day. One that teaches of the compassion in our hearts, for those around us and the world we all live in.

And, for me, one that teaches that in the face of despair, fear, and sadness, beauty can also be found, and that no matter how pointless it can seem, fighting, trying, and persistence is how we can push through the end of the world. And now matter how all encompassing it may seem, the end is never truly the end. It's just a new beginning.

Before I continue, I must clarify, as I did in my ACT review, this will feature spoilers, and moreso than almost any other game I've played, you simply must play this blind if you can.

Ok, a brief, completely spoiler free review. *Ahem again*

Outer Wilds is a beautiful, relaxing yet occasionally stressful first person space exploration game, in which the only currency you collect through the game is knowledge. The solar system is your own journey through the puzzle box the devs made. The music is beautiful and touching, the visuals are distinct yet simple, and the story is like nothing else. The only genuine 10/10 I can give. It's brilliant.

Ok now time for the real gamers to chat.

This game. This fucking game. It reaches deep to the innermost part of my mind and soul and shows me a more accurate depiction of the human experience than any other game, and it don't even got humans.

It is the absolute definition of existential optimism, and I think it's refreshing, and borderline spiritual.

And this fact is helped because the way you get to the end is entirely up to you. Every single person who plays this game will play it differently. Everyone follows what they find amazing and interesting, and everyone finds what they think is, and they fly and crash and die and laugh and love every moment they spend in this dark, enrapturing galaxy.

The combination of nostalgic foresty landscapes, crumbling planets, shoddy craftsmanship, and banjo laden melancholy music make for a uniquely sentimental game, which allows you to connect with what theyve done.

I mean fuck some of the coolest ideas for planets and worlds I've ever seen.

Brittle Hollow and it's crumbling deadly surface, and infinitely heavy black hole at the center

Dark Bramble, always enshrouded in fog and mystery, endlessly repeating dangerous, vine coated voids filled with the most terrifying creatures in the known universe

The Hourglass Twins, the most clearly time based astral body of all, as two planets pirouette through the sky, trading impossible amounts of sand due to a shift in gravity

And of course, the Quantum Moon, a blend of all other planets with an ethereal, eternally shifting vibe layered thickly on top.

It's brilliant, and scary, and add layers and layers to your story.

And the characters and all so clearly defined, with interests and dreams and hopes. Reibeck hates space but is obsessed with the Nomai technology and history, so he can't help but explore. Feldspar and his sporadic attitude and wealth of courage allowing him to explore anywhere, as long as it's got beasties. And of course, the one, the only, the best o Outer Wilds character, Gabbro!

This chill as mother fucker got trapped in the same time loope as you, and is simply to chill and content to give a single fucking shit, while still helping where he can with advice and knowledge. It's awesome, and he also teaches you how to speed up your death with meditation, so that's... Cool.

And of fucking course I gotta talk about the music.

It's hypnotic. It permeates your body and makes you happy and sad and lonely and any other thing you can imagine, while still fitting the game, and any individual story moment. It's brilliant.

Castletown Café Episode 27: Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie

It's been 8 years.....doesn't seem like that long, does it? On September 15th, 2015, Undertale launched to the world and took the internet by storm, delighting gamers young and old and capturing their hearts and minds with the story, humor, memorable characters, and beautiful music. Without Undertale, there wouldn't be Deltarune.

It's safe to assume that the pie Kris stole between Chapters 1 and 2 as well as the pie Toriel later teaches Susie how to bake is the same pie from Undertale: butterscotch-cinnamon pie. It's the pie Toriel is known for in Undertale, where she asks you early on in the game which flavor you prefer. It doesn't matter if you choose cinnamon or butterscotch, because she later bakes you one delicious pie with both flavors included that compliment each other perfectly.

This pie is well known by fans to restore your health to full HP, regardless of the route you take (which effects how much max HP you have). It even has plot significance! If you know, you know.

Since Undertale's launch, I've made butterscotch-cinnamon pie every September to commemorate it's anniversary. In previous years, I followed pre-existing recipes, but this year, I have concocted my own! The results are a beautiful custard pie with a perfectly-set filling and it tastes as heavenly as the pies I'd made in the past!

While many butterscotch pie recipes out there include a meringue topping, I always opt for a cinnamon-vanilla whipped topping, inspired by @terribletriocreations butterscotch-cinnamon pie recipe. That said, I'd love to try out my butterscotch-cinnamon pie recipe with a meringue topping one of these days!

There are so many different ways to make butterscotch pie, from the simple to the advanced. You can make it with the browning butter method, or use butterscotch chips, or an easy brown sugar and butter custard filling. Mine is the latter category; great for any beginner and easy to make! Here we go!

BUTTERSCOTCH-CINNAMON PIE:

1 pie crust, pre-made or made from scratch

1 cup firmly-packed dark brown sugar

3 tablespoons flour

3 tablespoons cornstarch

Pinch of salt

2 cups milk

4 egg yolks, divided

3 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Cinnamon-Vanilla Whipped Topping:

1 cup heavy cream

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Roll out pie crust and line a pie dish with it. Make sure the crust fits the dish, trim off any excess dough, and dock the bottom with a fork.

Crimp the edges of the crust around the rim of the pie dish. I do it by pinching the dough with my fingers and thumb, but using a fork or another utensil works, too.

In a small bowl, scramble one egg yolk with a little bit of water and brush the rim to gloss the edges of the pie.

Grab a sheet of foil and place in the pie, then fill with dried beans or pie weights. Bake the crust for about 7-10 minutes. After that, remove it from the oven for a moment.

Remove the beans or pie weights and place a pie shield on the rim of the pie shell to prevent the crust rim from overcooking. If you don't have a pie shield, grab a sheet of foil and place it over the pie, cutting out the center where the filling should go. Instant pie shield! Now, bake your pie crust again for another 5-7 minutes, or until your crust is fully baked. Remove it from the oven yet again. If the crust puffs up at the bottom, squish it back down with a spoon.

In a small mixing bowl, beat 3 egg yolks and set aside.

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, flour, cornstarch, and salt. Whisk together for 30 seconds, then slowly add the milk while continuing to whisk in order to prevent any clumps or lumps from forming.

Cook the mixture, stirring constantly to prevent burning, until it's nice and thick and is bubbling a wee bit.

Stir in the butter and keep cooking as the butter melts. After that, keep stirring and cooking for a few more minutes, then remove from heat.

With a ladle, slowly incorporate (while whisking) 1 cup of the hot butterscotch mixture into the egg yolks to temper the eggs and prevent scrambling from occurring. Once you've added and mixed it together, feel free to add just a little more butterscotch, slowly, to ensure that the eggs gradually got hot enough. Then simply pour your egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining butterscotch.

Return your butterscotch to medium heat and cook again for another 3 minutes or so, then stir in the vanilla and cinnamon until fully incorporated.

Pour that butterscotch filling into your prepared pie shell and bake once again for another 7-10 minutes. Remove your pie from the oven and let it cool completely. Once cooled, your custard should be completely set and ready for the whipped topping!

In another mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon and beat on medium speed until stiff peaks form. Attach your decorating tip of choice to a piping bag and place it in a tall glass to fill it with the whipped cream. As you would with decorating a cake, pipe the whipped topping over your pie in any pattern or design you'd like. If you want, you can sprinkle the top with a little extra ground cinnamon for a finishing touch. Enjoy and stay determined! ❤

Benrey Benery moves in with his best friend and secret crush Gordon freeman after his gf died in afganistan going to war and then one night gordon gets drunk and then....find out!!!

-part 1,-

Benrey looked at the arpartment where his best friend and crush of 3 years waited. He saw him in the window and he waved at him and his heart started beating to fast. he opened the door

"Hey silly get in!" He said and hen gulped and pulled his luggage into the house. Gordon hugged him

"I've been so lonely since my wife went missing in afganistan."

"That's so brace of her. She loved you.'

Gordon stared at him for a minute.

"Yeah... Let's get you settled in!" And then he helped him to his room.

"It's a one bedroom place so you'll have to share a room with me." He smiled at him.

"It'll be like a sleepover!"

"Totally!" Then there was a knock at the door and Benrey followed drew to the door where they found a girl with long brown hair and big purple eyes waving.

"Hi?" Said gordon.

"Hi" she said flipping her hair back revealing her badass studded belt around her black jeans and black top that had sleeves to her middle arm and skull earrings and black makeup.

"I'm your neighbor Jackie!" She said happily. They both shook her hands.

"If you need anything come on over!" She said and then left.

"She was nice." Said Benrey.

"And pretty cute." Said gordon

And Benrey felt a pain in his heart. Was gordon totally straight? He always wondered if he was bi because of how he flirted with him sometimes on skype. He didn't know if he would tell him he is gay and is in love with him. Then gordon gave him a sweet smile and he felt warm again.

-Heavy-

Gordon made a drink for him and Benrey and sat at the couch and drank beer. They turned on a movie and watched some funny tv shows and drank all nights untill it was 7 am the next morning.

Gordon pointed at the rising sun

"Hey Ben look" he laughed drunk. Ben stumbled over but tripped and fell right into gordons arms!! Suddenly they were starting in each other's eyes. There faces started itching closer and closer when suddenly there was a knock at the door. Gordon blushed and let go of the embrace and went to the door.

"Hello?" He asked as he opened the door. Then there were two guys in black ski masks and they grabbed gordon and threw him down the apartment stairs and ran off. They kidnapped him!!!!

Benrey tried to run after their white van but couldn't run as fast as a car. He called the cops and cried in the apartment. Then suddenly he got a message on youtube that said

"If you want to see him alive again make a video about 10 reasons why the Irate Gamer ripped off Angry Video Game Nerd and ur wrong" he gasped....

-on the 3rd cold night-

There was a knock at the door. Benrey went over to it and gasped.

Forzen!!!

Meanwhile somewhere in coastal rica. Gordon had a bag on his head and he was punched hard.

"Let me go!!! I never got to tell Benrey I love him!!!"

"Well in that case...."

Then he was shoved into a van and they started driving....

Benrey made tea for Forzen and him and forzen looked at him sweetly.

"I'm so sorry. The remaining 10 us military will help you find him."

"I almost kissed him before he.........."

"It's ok" he touched his hand. They looked sweet at each other.

"I'm always here for you......"

Forzen leaned in and kissed Benrey lightly on the lips and in a moment of desire and desperate he pulled Forzen close and kissed him harder. They started making out and Forzen got on Benrey and started rubbing on him. They made out and wiggled around the couch untill Benrey broke away.

"I can't........gordon........."

"Oh.........but he was a loser?"

"Go Forzen go away"

And he grunted and left mad. Benrey went to his room to cry.

-coming home-

The door slowly opened and gordon limped into the apartment and fell on the floor.

"Benrey!" He said horsely.

Benrey stopped crying and ran out and gasped.

"Gordon!!!" And he ran to pick him up and help him stand. Gordon grabbed him and hugged him tight and sudden.....his lips started touching his and they kissed. There tongues meshed and their lips intwined and they made out right there. When they stopped they smiled at each other.

"Be my boyfriend?" Said Benrey.

"Yes." And they smiled and kissed again.

"But I have to tell you gordon....before you came back forzen was here and...and...and we made out."

"Frozan?!" He roared.

"I'm sorry....." Gordon started crying and ran down the stairs. Then Jackie looked gordons way that he was running and than came in. Benrey was crying and told her what was going on.

"You should do something romantic to show your story and that he is your one and only!"

"Your right!" He wiped the tears off and jackie grabbed a camera and started recording.

Benrey looked soully to the camera with love in his eyes.

"Hi skeletons today I finally told gordon I love him like I said I would. But before that someone else came over and I kissed them. I love you gordon and it will never happen again. You are my light and joy and I would be proud to be....be your husband." He said softly. Then jackie whipped a tear from her face and sniffled and turned off the camera.

"That was amazing I'm sure he will say yes. It's true love!" She said.

Meanwhile in chigaco gordon was at a sushi restaurant when someone sat beside him.

"gordon freeman?" He said. He looked up.

"Forzen?!" He almost flinched.

"Yeah I heard you and Benrey had a rough thing happen.

Then he posted this..." And he pulled out his phone and went to a video and opened it to let him watch. Benrey was looking at the camera intense and started talking.

"Today I finally told gordon it will never happen again. Never kiss him again. I am with someone else." And then there was a sniffled sound and someone was behind the camera?!

Benrey started to cry silently but tried to look together.

"Let me buy you a drink." And Forzen ordered sake (an asian drink).

They started drinking and talking and laughing and having a good time.

"Maybe I was wrong about you Forzen." Said Gordon. Forzen put his arm around him confrotingly.

"Of course baby!"

They both drunkenly left the bar and stumbled to the hotel room forzen was staying in. Forzen started kissing him and pushing him to the bed and they made out there. Then they started doing it. But gordon didn't know about the camera!!! It was being live streamed!!!

"I love you Forzen!!!!" Cried gordon on the stream. Benrey and Jackie watched shocked and dumb founded as they watched. Jackie looked at Benrey then black at the video.

"H-how could he?!" Benrey stromed around the house. Jackie tried to call him down. But benrey opened the window....AND JUMPED Jackie screamed and called 011.

Gordon woke up with a hangover and threw up. Then he heard his phone ring and he picked it up. It was jackie yelling I to the phone and calling him shit for what he did to Benrey.

"What?" Said gordon. "he said he found someone else?"

"What?! No he didn't. I'm sending you the cideo he made for you." Then she hung up and he got the notification for it. He opened it and his lover spoke words of love right from the heart. He spun around and glared at Forzen. "You liar!!!" He screamed. Then he threw his phone at Forzen and ran out.

Meanwhile in the suicide hospital.... Benrey was sitting in a chair watching a TV show when a nurse said "you have a guest". He expected Jackie again with some McDonald's or something but instead....gordon. He flinched.

"What do you want traitor" he hissed at him. "Forzen lied to me. He made me think you moved on and I slept with him..."

"Are we even? Can we be together?"

"If you can forgive me."

"I do. Forgive me?"

"Yes."

Then they embraced and kissed. Benrey pulled away and knelt down and pulled a box out.

"I was going to do this somewhere better but...will you marry me?"

Gordon cried happy tears and nodded and they made out again.

"Let's get you outta here!" Said gordon and they left holding hands.

-chain reaction-

Benrey got out of bed where his fiance was sleeping and he went I to the bathroom. Then he spotted something in the sink that he guessed gordon forgot. He picked it out of the sink and looked. It had two lines and was...a pregnancy test.

He busted out of the bathroom

"G-gordon?" He said and gordon sleepily got up and then gawked at what was in his hand

"Il-i..."

"What is this?! Are you....."

He looked down ashamed.

"I am going to the doctor tomorrow to check...please...go with me...they can do a test..."

He gulped.

"Ok. In the morning."

They waited in the office of the Dr office untill they called Gordons name. They went in and the Dr came into the checkup room they were in.

"Are you his husband?" Asked the doctor. Benrey nodded.

"Well we have to test his pee so if you'd step outside..." And he did and went back in after the doctor came out with a cup of pee to test it. He sat next to gordon and helped his hand.

The doctor came back in an stared at his chart.

"Well Mr freeman...you are pregnant. And Mr Benrey isn't the father..."

They both dropped there jaws......

-White Wedding part 1-

It was a hot July day and the concert hall was decked in white everywhere. Gordon and Benrey invited there fans for free to see there wedding but so many wanted to come that they had to get a concert hall. There was a preacher and a pretty white arch and music playing and food outside. In the room with drew he was putting on his white suit and brushing his hair. He got a knock at the door and someone popped in.

It was Cummer and darnold Peppre!

"H3!!" He said and they went over to hug him.

"I'm so excited for you!" Said Darnald.

"Thanks. Coomer...will you walk me down the isle? My dad doesn't accept I'm gay and won't do it." He started to cry a little. Coomer hugged him

"Of course buddy" and he out out his arm and he looked it and they walked slowly out. They stood at the start of the red carpet that went to the arch and gordon laughed nervous and coomer Pat his arm and they started walking as the wedding song started playing. The fans went crazy and clapped and they stopped at the preacher and stood by him and waited.

They looked at the entrance and waited for Benrey...first. jackie came out to be bridesmaid and Tommy coolatta did to. They looked so pretty. Then.....Bubby came out with Benrey on his arm. They both smiled and Benrey blushed wearing his baby blue tux. Gordon started crying because he loved him so much.

The music kept playing and Tommy coolatta dogs sunkist were in front of them with little rose petals baskets in there mouths and petals flew everywhere as they ran up the isle.

Benrey stood across him and they looked at each other with Misty eyes.

The prest smiled at them both and started talking.

"Gordon Freeman do you take Benrey Benery to be your husband to hold and love forever as long as you both live?" Gordon nodded

"Yes I do"

"And Benrey Benery do you take gordon freeman to be your husband to love and cherish for as long as you live?"

"I do!" Said Benrey.

The fans all looked so happy and crying and Jackie and tommy and Coomer and darnold and bubby all cried happily too.

"If anyone thinks these two should not be married speak now!"

And the room got quiet and nobody breathed. Then someone stood up from the crowd and jumped on stage. It was Forzen!!!!!

"Forzen?!" Benrey said.

"Yes! I don't think they should get married! He's carrying my baby!!" He shouted and the whole room gasped. Gordon started crying and wished he was somewhere else. Forzen fans started screaming for Forzen and gordon to get married. Then Coomer started going in to Forzen to push him away from the stage.

Then suddenly fights started breaking out with all the fans and gordon and Benrey ran away and the others escorted them. They all got to the limo and drove off fast.

Coomer and darnold and Tommy and Jackie and Bubby were outside the cabin they were staying in til everything blew over. Benrey looked out the window and gasped. Outside was a big tellise with roses and lots of food on a table and music started playing. There was balloons and everyone was wearing dressed up. No way! They went outside.

"What is this?!" They both asked blushing.

"We felt bad about what happened so we made you a nice private wedding with just us." Said Jackie with a big smiled. They all hugged and Coomer said "I can marry you I do jewish weddings but it can still count for you." He said.

Then Benrey put out his hand and gordon took it.

"Shall we?"

He nodded and took his hand. He led him to the roses and Coomer stood in btween them.

"Now, gordon freeman do you take Benrey Benery to be your husband? Will you love and cherish him in sickness and health?"

"I do" he said softly.

"And Benrey Benery do you take gordon freeman to be your lovely husband through poor and riches? For as long as you both live?"

"Yes I do" said drew back.

Coomer smiled.

I’m in the midst of writing out a larger overall game guide for WHB— because I have a love of documentation, I guess— and given that this is the first event, and first available Minhyeok, I wanted to also give this some attention and do this up for fun! I’ll be covering the event as a whole, as well as Minhyeok as a unit.

So, where do you get him? What does he take to get?

He is available though his own unique banner that is available until Nov 8, 2023. The banner can be found were you would ordinarily pull, in the top right corner.

Event Story Levels

You can expect the typical story level layouts here, too. Meaning, a story level followed by a few battles leading to another story level.

The event is quite short— but the story levels themselves have some length to them, and are quite cute

The battles are very easy—requirement level 10–and very open and accessible to beginners just starting out

The unique part of it, however, is at the end. You’ll find a repeatable boss stage here, with three difficulties.

This is where we’ll grind those Gamer Souls!

Like Dark Sanctuary, you need to beat the previous difficulty before you can move on to the next (so no jumping right to advanced)

There’s no listed level requirements, so just try them out and see how you do— they’re not too bad, and there’s no repercussions for losing

I’m beating Advanced with a party of 4 level 40s and 2 60+ units but I’m sure it’s doable at lower levels

If you’re looking to take advantage of the shop and all the rewards in it, most of your time is going to be put to these for a while— don’t stress about it though, there’ll be more events to come.

Okay! What does Minhyeok do, though?

Our human buddy has gone through some things— so now he shares some of Satan’s power. He’s essentially S-Grade Satan— even donning a little bazooka in battle.

It may be because Satan hates me and won’t come home, but I’ve been enjoying using him on my team so far!

(Though his first promotion was an accident. Whoops. Don’t click blindly, now I’m committed.)

Basic Information:

Typing that paraphilia out was something. It looks like I keyboard smashed.

Skill - Borrowed Power

“Draws a Cross of blood using Satan’s powers to attack the enemy.”

A basic attack with a long range— good for keeping him out of the fray while still doing good damage to the enemy. He attacks slow, though, keep that in mind— his ultimate will help with that though.

Ultimate - Complaining Helper

“Calls Sitri to drink his blood and call forth Scythe of Blood, which he swings at a 7x7 area to deal great DMG. The hit enemies are affected with Bleed for 4.00s, and the furious Sitri’s effects are added to double self’s ATK SPD for 15s.”

Sitri’s not happy, but he’s helping out! This is a wide range ultimate that afflicts bleed to anything it hits. Great for crowd control!

Essentially Minhyeok is mini-Satan. If you have Satan and want another like him, here you go! If you don’t, here’s something to use while you pine for him. (One day, Satan. You’re gonna come home.)

What about his artifact?

Personally… I don’t like it much. It’s not a bad artifact, but I don’t see anything in his kit that says he needs that amount of HP increase? I will say— bonus points to them for being “Hellvin Klein” though.

Great for units that need a lot of HP (30% at level 1? Yeesh)

Not personally what I’m going to equip him with, because I feel there’s better options.

I’m not using this on him, but if you want to go for it. It’ll increase the amount of damage he can take if an enemy slips through to him (because he should not be at the front lines!)

I’ve actually got Satan’s L-Grade Artifact “Silky Hair” on him— but anything that gives a bonus to his damage or his bleed effect status would be greatly more beneficial than this one.

What should I am to give him then?

ATK SPD and ATK buffing artifacts

Artifacts that enhance his bleed effect

Artifacts that simply have more utility on the battlefield (Semi-Permanent Marker, Shiny Leather Gloves, etc)

But hey— the HP% won’t hurt him either, if you want to pair him up with the one that came with him.

(Also yes, I’ve gotten Satan’s Silky Hair two or three times now but not the man himself. He’s torturing me.)

Gale Ranks: Miraculous Ladybug Classmates

Thats Right! I am going to be ranking Marinette and Adrien's classmates from my Least Favorite to My favorite.

Rules:

I will be judging based on Bustier's Class. So No Zoe, Kagami, or Marc. Even if they hang out.

Marinette and Adrien will be Excluded from this list (Think of them as Honorary 1 and 2 if included)

I will be using all of the episodes that have come out as reference. And there will be potential spoilers up to Episode 20 of season 5.

This isnt about which classmates are the best or worst. Its about My personal like or dislike of a classmate.

Including Marinette and Adrien there are 15 students. So this will be out of 13.

13th. Sabrina Raincomprix

Yea... after the recent episodes I really cant bring any sort of desire to like you. Oh sure Chloé is cruel and Lila is a manipulator... Sabrina is just a spineless worm that lets others get hurt or even ASSISTS in it. There is a corrupt cop joke here but its too easy. Also even with that she has no personality outside of Chloé Lackey. Chloé wouldnt be able to pull off most of her evil schemes without someone doing the dirty work and sorry Sabrina, thats you.

12th. Chloé Bourgeois

A moment of silence for the wasted Character potential... Okay. So yea Chloé sucks. Granted the season 4 and 5 have gone so over the top with showing that season 2 and 3 were not actually important that it causes massive whiplash. I cant find myself hating her like I can with sabrina. I just pity this character. And that is even AFTER I saw what happened in Derision, though at this point I have no interest in seeing a redemption. The writers could have made her heel turn back to evil more believable IF they did it gradually with more effort. But its clear that there was no effort to do so.

11th. Lê Chiến Kim

This man went from top 4 on my list to BARELY missing the top 10. Just goes to show how much one episode can change one's view on a character. In some ways I actually would say I like him less than Chloé now... but Kim at least did apologize and did say he would make an effort to be better. But MAN, when I found out what he did I was watching Chat noir BEAT HIS ASS ON LOOP. You know I was about to give that boy THESE HANDS for that s***. Derision really shifted everyone's view on this once lovable himbo, now he is a dumbass.

10.Rose Lavillant

I just dont like her design that much. Her personality is the stereotypical bubbly girl. And while she does get some exploration on why that is... its never touched on again. Also I am a touch salty about Migration. Juleka was expecting to hear a confession but WE ALL GOT BAITED AND SWITCHED. Guess the show cant have any girl confessing to another girl unless that girl being confessed to is Marinette.

9. and 8. Ivan Bruel and Mylène Haprèle

So to me these two are basically interchangable in terms of ranking. Ivan is the gentle giant that is misunderstood. Mylene is the soft scarred cat that wants the world to be a better place. If I had to pick, i would say I prefer Myléne more, but thats because she gets more character development.

7. Lila Rossi

So Lila always struck me as a character with huge potential. The problem is the writers have no idea how to write a cruel, calculating and manipulative character without dumbing down everyone else to make her seem smart. Now in season 5 I have found myself starting to like her more. Is it because the writing got better? F*** no, its just been more fun with her in it. She is just clearly having more fun with it, and just seeing how the ridiculous plans somehow work almost makes it funny. Also its clear she is being set up as the next big bad, so I cant wait to see how convoluted the show makes her to make her WORSE than Gabriel. So unlike Chloé whose cartoonish evilness feels like a waste, with Lila it feels more fun to watch.

6. Max Kante

He built Markov. Plus after Gamer he has been a pretty solid character. I also do enjoy his support of his Idiot Friend Kim. Even if Kim doesnt deserve it. Also, he has the best transformation sequence. Boy goes WAY too hard for it. I also just think he is a charming character.

5. Nathanael Kurtzberg

Tomato son. While it took me some time to forgive him for Reverser. He is basically a shipper with Marc and its a fun time. I enjoy their plans and adorable antics. But part of me still misses season 1 Nathanael, wonder if he still had a crush on Marinette. Not much else to add, just that he is fun to have on screen and his english dub voice is still dope.

4. Juleka Couffaine

She has my favorite design of the Classmates. She does develop more as the show goes on, I would say she has the most consistant development of the classmates outside of the top 3 contenders. Juleka is now the lead of Kitty Section, and has some incredible Lyrics within her. She wants to stand out and wants to stop being a wall flower. I can respect her guts and attempts at growing and improving.

3. and 2. Alya Cesaire and Nino Lahiffe

The respective best friends of Adrien and Marinette. They are likely the most known about classmates of the Miracuclass. Well Alya is. Nino sadly doesnt get as much delved into. That being said, both are supportive friends and go to great lengths to help them. Nino is surprisingly the more chaotic of the two resulting in him thinking Chat noir was stealing his girl OR forming a resistance against Monarch. Alya learning her best friend's identity and being her emotional rock. Now I thought I would put Alya higher than Nino, but Nino's charm and antics make it hard to dismiss and so I have them both as a tie. Though they also had some moments (Thanks to bad writing) that make me cringe a bit.

1. Alix Kubdel

The most consistently written character in the entire class. The Time travel hero, a character that in my opinion is slept on a lot more than she should be. While I am not crazy about time travel, I do enjoy Alix as a character. She is fun loving and ready to call people out on their BS, also she gets some great lines. She also shows how much of a supportive friend she is to nathanael, Marinette, Ladybug and Chat noir. Its sad she had to go into the time stream to hide from monarch, but it is still a fun way to send a character off for a time

I mentioned in a previous poll how fast culture changed in the 1970s, and that doesn't feel like an exaggeration. This was the final year of the draft and more American troops were being taken out of Vietnam. As American troops were coming home, The Today Show aired a "while you were away" segment to go over how the culture has shifted while they were overseas. Most, if not all, of this segment was a joke, but it shows that even at the time people were aware that something was changing and it was changing fast. To paraphrase historian Rick Perlstein, they left a country where The Sound of Music was the most popular movie, and they came home to a country where the most popular movie was Last Tango in Paris.

To get back to the music, it feels wrong not to shine the spotlight on Don McLean's American Pie. For one, I probably could have used the lyrics as the blurb for one of the 60's polls and saved myself a lot of time. The lyrics themselves show this changing cultural shift as well, reflecting on how aimless this new generation felt. It's hard not to put a 2020s lens on everything. But looking back at a time that was rife with political scandals and politicians not seeming to care about the rising bodycounts affecting their citizens, I'd be lying if I said the sentiment doesn't hit home. "A generation lost in space" indeed.

However, in addition to the longest song on this poll, I also want to highlight one of the shorter ones. Specifically, Joe Tex's I Gotcha. Funk music is going to continue to grow in popularity this decade, even though the full extent of that cultural movement won't always be seen on the top of the charts. But the reason I wanted to highlight this song specifically is to use it as a prelude to what's coming next. If you listen to the song, pay attention to the chorus when the rest of the instruments drop out to put more emphasis on the percussion and how Joe Tex's rhythmic vocals play against the beat.

And for my third highlight, if the artist behind the tenth song sounds familiar, that's because the song was by Mr. Las Vegas himself. Or, if any Fallout fans follow this blog (and judging by the results on some of the 50's-60's polls, I know you're here), Mr. New Vegas. Speaking of gamers, Pong debuted this year as well.

I've rewritten this section multiple times, because I don't want to gloss over a specific moment in history, but it also feels jarring to bring it up in a poll with mostly unpolitical songs. After spending a few polls talking about how the war affected the American psyche, it feels important to reinforce that the people of Vietnam didn't have to be soldiers or reporters to see the war before their eyes instead of on a television set. 1972 also marks the year of the Christmas Bombings, one of the most horrific 12-day stretches in an already horrific war. Even though I don't go over every historic moment in these descriptions, it felt wrong not to bring this up. Even as this event would result in the general population's mistrust towards Nixon and the government growing even more rapidly, it wouldn't be enough.

Nixon no longer had to worry about reelection and it felt like the entire country was holding its breath before something major happened.

Sorry, I didn't get to answer this til now. Thank you for sending this over to me! 1. My boyfriend. We've been together since January 2019. We knew eachother before that but we got closer in the fall of 2018 when I went through a really bad dental issue that made me sick for days unable to sleep and all that. He comforted me and was there for me that whole time. We are long distance, met online through a MMO and we're going as strong as ever. He's a fun guy and we can talk about anything, very open to eachother. We are very opposite but come together so well ^-^ He is so precious to me, treats me like no one ever has before and can make anything better. He is the sweetest man alive and I love him to pieces.

2. My cat Luna. My #1 companion. I've raised her since birth as she is the sole kitten my dad's cat had. I lived with my dad at the time and Zara (luna's mom) would bring Luna under my bed covers when she was like 3 days old. I had struggles trying to keep her in a safe space that she wouldn't just bring the kitten back in my bed. I even put the box with blankets in my bed and it didn't stop it lol. Luna is VERY attached to me due to this. A very clingy & affectionate cat. She always is near me and she sleeps on top of my butt/legs when I go to bed lol. She has a great fun personality and is so pretty. 3. Playing games. I mean a bit of a duh. I am definitely a gamer™ from MMO to single player RPG, narrative focus, to survival building to cozy games. I go with obsessive phases where all I want to play, do and consume is related around the game I am into at the moment. I've recently come back to The Sims franchise which I played for thousands upon thousands of hours where I was a kid/teenager (the sims 2 and the sims 3 being my big ones) but quit on the launch of Sims 4 because I hated what had been done by EA. I love the way the game is now and I am having a lot of fun with it. 4. Rain. I am a huge pluviophile. It will literally soothe my brain. I listen to soft rain videos when I have bad anxiety or unable to sleep (ADHD being a huge issue for my sleeping and rain sounds help focus my brain and relax instead of wandering in the highspeed rail train of thoughts I get lol) I even spent some time trying to figure out why it has such an effect on me and I think I cracked the code. I think it's the subconsciousness feeling of safety being inside while it's "not good" outside. That feeling of coziness the rain instantly gives. But I can't explain why I love it so much lol the sound, even the visuals. Gifs of rain give me instant good vibes. 5. Watching a bad movie with my online friends. Like a so bad it's good type of movie. Think The Room and... the Twilight saga (I'm sorry girls/boys/nbs) We laugh so freaking hard and it is such a good time.

last song: The Ghost Of Liberace, I was listening to the playlist I made of my top 10 fav Sparks songs last evening and thinking to myself "oh my freaking god these songs are so good, how on earth" (not a very surprising outcome of listening to one's favourite songs). And THEN I feel asleep actually so I don't remember actually listening to this one but I know it was the last one on the playlist

favorite color: I famously like to say that I love all colors (because I really do) but having to choose. Hmmm. Maybe some vivid shade of blue or this one kind of pale red or some shade of purple. I'm also a big fan of lots of different shades of pink in general. And also the combination of very soft and pastely yellow and pink, because I remember those were my favourite colors as a very small child and now, in big part for that reason, I like putting that colour combo in different things (like my arts)

currently watching: nothing >:[ I'm not much of a movies / tv shows person in general but I hope to change it at some point, my main problem at the moment though is that I just can't fit anything more in my current daily schedule because I've already been putting of things like reading and finally getting to all kinds of different things for months and months, and it's just ugggghhhh, there's never enough time for anything!!! But I just suck at time management at the moment so, one day hopefully. I want to say I will happily accept any recommendations but 1) I don't even know what I want to watch (because I never watch anything and don't know what I'd like lmao) 2) the problem described above

sweet/savory/spicy: savory maayyybbeee, but sweet is also important and something I crave quite often. So I think a balanced dose of both is what I need in my day to day life. I can mostly do without spicy though

currently playing: not a huge gamer (besides a couple of very specific game phases I had in the years past), but recently I've been playing a bunch of Super Mario type games because forgetting all my worries and booting up my Switch and leveling up my skills in platformers and racing games has been my favourite and almost foolproof, go-to way of relaxing this whole summer. Special shoutout to Mario Kart 8 for bringing our entire family together and letting me have one (1) video game thing I can safely say I have surpassed my borther in after just a couple hours of practice so it's like haha, I always lost in racing games and now I can win each time effortlessly >:]]], all thanks to having nothing better to do for several hours a day for many days. And yet more actively I want to say that I've been playing the Klonoa games (those two original platformers that got remastered) but I forgot about them and I'm pretty sure I actually haven't played them since January? Lmao (I forget about everything these days, but especially games. Fun fact: it took me almost 3 years to finish Undertale back in the day. Because I'd forget about it for several months at a time)

current obsession: Sparks unchangingly for this entire past year, and while the obsession never wanes it still has its slightly more and less intense periods, and these last couple of weeks have definitely been on the intense end of the scale. Nothing but Sparks on the brain this whole summer lol (and I welcome that fact with much happiness)

these are mostly abt my friends from my fc bc they make playing this game so much more fun and awesome (long post warning)

#1 so there's this guy in western coerthas whom you can challenge to a fight named alaimbert of the spiked butt. funny guy with a lot of butt jokes. one day i was leveling samurai and thought eh why not fight mr spiky butt? then i ate shit and died. and like. the moment i died i got a dm from a stranger. this player named "yuyu nekomata" was... asking me to join her fc?

fellas i have no idea how fc recruitments work. i don't know how this girl found me. so i thought. that this person. saw me get buttspiked to death. for no fucking reason, just being a shit gamer. and thought "yeah i want THAT guy to be in my fc, i gotta ask him to join right now"

i fucking lost it dude i laughed so hard i was fully crying. and then i said yes, ofc. best decision i ever made fr. also since i mentioned going to level my gatherers yuyu gave me like 10 sideritis cookies and i still have 6 in my inventory www

#2 i started playing in na actually, in coeurl, crystal bc dreamer was there and i wanted to meet him ingame haha. but the ping was horrendous and i could never avoid aoes. i started to suspect if orange aoes weren't actually unavoidable. i could only get through the hall of the novice "avoid aoes" training by using sprint (it has a 60 second cooldown!) and praying. and i thought man, i want to try raiding in the future, there's no way i can raid if i have to sprint out of every aoe. so i packed my bags and moved out to jp. basically just picked a dc and world at random? the english speaking jp server is elemental (literally every other indonesian ffxiv player is in elemental fml) but i went to mana instead. it's good out here though since mana has an active raiding scene and the queues are super fast :]

anyway the actual memory was when i remade my character and restarted arr and i went out into the world and aggro'd a monster AND I COULD STEP OUT OF THEIR AOE WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO avoiding damage has never felt so fucking good

#3 at a time when i couldn't play ffxiv, around after i finished base hvw but not the patches, i watched jocat's ffxiv stream vods on youtube. i kept watching until the last available video, when he'd finished the rak'tika section then detoured to do all the role quests. that was around endwalker's release so the guy was too busy streaming to upload the old vods. since twitch vods were only available for 2 weeks i skipped ahead and watched edw instead of waiting for more shb. i followed his streams to the very end, then went ahead and purchased ffxiv to finish shadowbringers on my own

i hadn't planned to play endwalker, for reasons. i finished 5.0, then i did the only thing left i wanted to do: the twinning. i wanted to jam out to a long fall, haha. and i did! it was a very fun run. i hadn't done alexander and omega yet so alex to me is a twinning boss first and foremost. the unlock quest's cutscene where we hear the message from the doomed timeline was so touching that i teared up. i felt satisfied. i was done with ffxiv! yay!

the story of why i decided to continue playing... is for someday in the future :)

#4 and so i did continue to play, and even finish endwalker. really though, the twinning wasn't the only thing i wanted to do. i wanted to try raiding, remember? and so i got to level 90, my first time at level cap, excitedly went to labyrinthos to try the pandaemonium raids, and

my item level is too low. noooooo!

i had no idea how to get gear. what the hell is a tomestone? why do i need so many of them?? i asked around to the raiders in our fc for tips. they told me some stuff about how to farm tomestones but i thought mannn that's gonna take so long though. so i went to the marketboard and bought the then-bis rinascita gear.

one of the guys i asked, koi, saw me at the sharlayan marketboard and went OH NO. i'd just bought the sabatons when he stopped me. koi told me, "this was supposed to be a surprise, but i'll say it so you don't waste your gil. actually yuyu has bought all the gear for you! please come to the fc house to receive it."

i was.. floored. i'd joined the fc while in the middle of playing shadowbringers, so it wasn't too long ago. i hadn't talked with anyone much, only saying hi when i see them pop in or out of the game. since i was too busy doing endwalker msq i couldn't play with the other members either (though we did go into the aitiascope and the mothercrystal together, it was such a blast). but they still gave me a ton of gear and raid food and gil for materia. man even now thinking about it i get choked up. these people are the nicest and i love them so much.

the time when i would have to stop playing ffxiv again was approaching, but i swore i would first clear at least the first savage trial of abyssos when it came out, to show my friends how much i appreciated their help. i'm still holding onto this promise now.

#5 savage is hard. oh my god is it hard. i have to admit to giving up because my internet connection is very unstable, i get a lot of lags and disconnects, and devour is an extremely unforgiving mechanic with lag. i only went back to high-end content with golbez. his trial is extremely attractive for me to prog because the mechanics are mostly forgiving and easy to learn. the only one that has me by the throat is void comet rain (void stardust? idk i learned this from jp resources so) since that one is unforgiving with lag lol. and it took me a good while to prog this trial. i gave up again when 6.5 released with a new extreme, zeromus, and went for that one instead. actually getting to see enrage for the first time ever was very motivating, but i just... i like golbez a lot. i want to clear the voidcast dais extreme first, as it was the new goal i'd set after p5s broke me. so i tried again! and

i did it baybeeee hahahaha! we were a "learn from the beginning" party that was supposed to go on for only 1 meal. but at the 30 minute mark we got to like 7% and i was the only one left alive and i was like no, no we can't stop here LET ME SOLO HIM! LET ME SOLO GOLBEZ I'M A WARRIOR I CAN DO THIS IN NORMAL MODE SURELY EXTREME IS NO DIFF(explodes to void meteor)

we put it to a vote if we want to continue progging, and everyone unanimously agreed. so one final pull! in which i fucking died to void comet rain like a chump! but we ended up clearing well before enrage!! yaaaayyy!!! i got my first ever endwalker extreme clear, and also somehow the weapon coffer despite being the only one (probably) who messed up. sorry everyone ;p all the luck goes to the most undeserving in the party! now i just need to farm the mount and the golbez minion from the lunar subterrane and i will have my full golbez regalia. this is my current goal www

the bunnyboy is skyler, our most chill and cool guy B) he's a vtuber on tiktok i think? he maintains our main discord server and is usually the one organizing fc events with yuyu. also the sage main who always takes the job to heal the rest of us tank-dps mains www

lastly beside tart that's kou! i hadn't met her a lot at the start and that was because she has a very serious raiding static. she did the omega protocol ultimate, THE hardest fight in ffxiv, on patch. it was nuts. she was in that dimensional rift 24/7 lmao. she's also an artist and always has the best glams and has gotten into gposing too, a real ffxiv renaissance man. kou does old extreme/savage content for fun and often gifts the rest of us special crafted weapons that glow. like the tsukuyomi sword, my beloved

Note: This is all for fun and this is just what I think of the rooms.

Lucifer's Room

Rank: 7/10

Room's flooring and walls seem nice

A vampire like me would love the darkness

And the lights would have such a lovely glow at night

It's almost like one of those old oil candles

I LOVE the fireplace and the chair near it

A great place for reading and/or listening to music

The skeleton in the corner is that of my nightmares

I could not sleep in this room (or with someone in this room) while that skelly is there

no fucking way

Nightmare fuel

And with my luck, it would get cursed or something and come alive or move

Is it just me but does the bed look like it's just cement with a blanket and a few pillows on it?

I might want my back broken but not this way

However the chair by the fire might be nice

Very spacious

It looks very lived in

and frankly, this room is very clean

This room is not soundproof

chances are, it's like a school guy and everyone's gonna hear the echoes of your activities

But at the same time, I imagine he blasts loud music so that no one hears

However, you can get pretty inventive with ideas of where to do it

Yeah, he loves his car and would not want to ruin it but if he is greedy enough, and chances are he is, he can just clean it afterwards

Levi's Room

Rank: 8/10

Probably one of the cooler rooms

The fact that it is a room for a gamer/anime fan is cool

and the aquarium is so lovely

but I have to worry

what if the room floods

that room is an electrical hazard

And you know what, if you slept with Levi in his bathtub, it wouldn't be so bad if you were laying on top of him

It might be bad news bears if he is laying on top of you because there's no way you'd be comfortable laying with you back in the hard tub

The man may have to pull out a cot or something if you're going to sleep in his room for sleepovers (or other things)

Also I'd imagine the room would be cold

Bangability: 7/10

The only suitable place to do it would be is in the bathtub

and you know, that's not so bad

some find that really romantic

especially if he runs a nice warm bath for both of you

and he could have you pressed up against the tub while taking you from behind

Honestly another good place to be intimate with him would be his gaming chair, specifically when he's busy gaming

it won't take him long to get flustered and put up his mic while you sit on his lap

There's no way he's going to take you anywhere else in his room

Satan's Room

The book aesthetic is nice

the bed by the window is lovely

however, this room is a danger zone

you could trip anywhere you step

and if some of the books are enchanted to fly, who's to say one isn't going to fly at you and catch you in the face or head

Not to mention there are candles

bump one and the whole room is gonna be set ablaze

I love this boy to death but I can't give him a pass for his room

babe, it's dangerous in there

Not to mention if you accidentally touch a book while in the moment, it could be bad news bears for you

He would have to carry you in there if you wanted to do anything in there

Seriously, the aesthetic is on point

His bed just screams Sleeping Beauty to me

Probably my favorite bed ever out of all the Obey Me characters beds

His pillow on the bed looks so soft

My allergies are gonna flare up so bad cause there's no way this man uses fake flowers

That vanity isn't placed randomly

it has a mirror pointing towards the bed

so expect both of you to be watching yourselves in the mirror

and I imagine that the bed is perfect for not just sleeping, but for intimacy

and Asmo being the Avatar of Lust, he knows how to make sure that the bed doesn't hit against the way

unless he wants other people to hear the bed hitting against the wall

Beel & Belphie's Room

Rank: 10/10

Probably my favorite of the brothers' room

it's homey

not to mention there's just something really cute about the twins sharing a room

and how they match despite being different

and the sun and moon?

I love that

especially considering Belphie loves constellations

Well

Despite loving this room, I find it very hard to find this room good for intimacy

There's not really any privacy

the most privacy you'll get is when the lights go out

but then you both would have to stay really quiet or else the other twin would hear

The only positive would be if you were with both of them

and the only issue then would be which bed would you do it in

I think the beds would be comfortable at least

MC's Room

First of all, I love MC's bed

It just looks so soft and inviting

and the pillows seem so fluff

and there's so many!

That is ideal

I think the mattress would be at least comfortable

and I love that there's like a little wall (even if it is just a wall of plants) separating the head of the bed and the rest of the room

that gives a little bit more privacy

I would be worried about my allergies with all of the plants

but then again, it's very pleasing to the eye

now the rest of the room, I love it

the coffin bookshelf is a goth/emo dreams

but I have to ask why there's a whole table and chairs in the room?

Honestly with how comfy the bed looks

and how the characters seem to want to stay in MC's room with MC, I think it's an ideal place for intimacy

and let's not mention that the table is also an option

1. I got top surgery almost two weeks ago, I'm healing really well, @lacetop came over for the week before and first week after my surgery and took the best care of me 🥰 I'm one of the luckiest people alive.

2. work has actually been somewhat busy recently - or at least it was before I started my time off. hopefully it will be busy again once I'm back on call for projects.

3. definitely not going to be here consistently. the process of trying to find a surgeon was lowkey traumatic, not just because of the fatphobia I ran into but also because my relationship with my body is complicated and there has been some trauma related work I needed to do. still very much a work in progress, but we getting there.

4. being a trans man and being able to get surgery is pretty great. I'm working through a good but complicated existential crisis, mostly motivated by bone deep terror at the idea of how good life might become now that this one massive source of anxiety and fear and occasional despair has been quite literally removed. but it's good. it's really really good. I didn't expect for it to be this life changing but I think it is.

5. I do kinda want to kiss my (handsome) surgeon right on the mouth for his good work. in my more dramatic moments I think about how I kinda feel like a work of art now. he shaped my flesh really well 10/10
