"don't stop!" you cry out, grinning ear to ear as the flimsy paper rolls off your fingers and onto the slippery floor of the empty supermarket as you bark out laughing

"no- no! it's my turn!" Carl cries out as he reaches for the shiny magazine that's now flung to a different page

you slid down the counter of the checkout where you both are hiding away, well, were hiding away before a porno fell out from the cabinet, most likely from a really bored worker.

Carl flips the pages before landing and scanning through the page you were on, trying to find the place you left off

"then why is your hand above your head like you did?" his blue eye squints at you with fake distrust while he has playfulness oozing from all around, you grin as you position yourself to run

"fine then!" you leap and try to spread the infected hand onto him but he runs away, you chase in through isles as he tosses back empty cereal boxes and whatever he can to keep you away from him

"get away from me!" he shrills and you just laugh manically

"what are you two doing?" a gruff voice yells out behind you and you both stop dead in your tracks before turning to see Rick

"um..." you peep

"scavenging?" Carl tries and you snort a laugh and Rick snaps his glare at you

Edwin barely processed the way that the shout rang through the air, eyes locked with the spell soaring through the air towards his chest. He was going to die.

Edwin hadn't thought much about his death since he started to regain his memories, but he doubted it'd be that bad. I mean, Niko and Crystal were still okay, right? They had each other, and their cases, and… God, from the little bit that David had eased him into regarding his life so far, Edwin wasn't sure that he'd miss much about living.

Well, there was one thing. One guy with a punky style, bright white curls, and the most beautifully radiant smile that Edwin had ever seen. Ghosts didn't age, right? What would that mean for him and Charles? Would the two of them drift apart as Charles grew into adulthood? Would they stay together even though Edwin would stay the same 16 forever? Would Edwin move on alone and leave Charles to grieve?

… He didn't want Charles to cry for him, face twisted in grief as he tried to fend off Mick and save Crystal. He didn't want-

Edwin was jostled from his thoughts as a form covered his view of the spell hurtling towards him, rooting itself right in front of Edwin as it-. "No!" The scream that Crystal let out forced the scene before him to click, everything in slow motion as Charles - sweet, wonderful, selfless Charles - slumped against Edwin. Edwin took hold of him, cradling him as the two crumpled to the floor under the taller's dead weight.

"Charles!" The scream ripped from his throat before he could stop it, before he could even think, and the entire world faded to Charles. His Charles, lips parted and brows furrowed as he whimpered in pain. "Charles." He repeated, name a prayer on his lips as he repositioned himself, cradling his friend's head with one hand as the other clung to his jacket. His eyes were frantic as he examined the younger's body because there had to be something that he could do. Something to stop the way that the crimson blood kept soaking through Charles' bright white shirt.

"Charles, you're gonna be okay. You have to be okay. Please." Edwin begged. He pleaded. Shame was lost to him as he shook Charles ever so slightly, refusing to accept the way that his breathing shallowed as the seconds ticked on and on and…

"Told you…" Charles croaked out, voice hoarse and face pained despite the way he tried so hard to smile for Edwin. "Was always gonna protect you, yeah?" Edwin heard himself sob at the reminder, because it was never supposed to be like this but then Charles' breathing shallowed even more and-

"No! No! Charles!" He cried, leaning over his friend - his love - to hold him because he couldn't be gone. He can't- "Charles…" Edwin sobbed, grief overtaking him because it should've been him that took that hit. Him that had to deal with that pain after everything that Charles had been through.

"Oh… how tragic." Edwin finally registered the world around him as Mick started speaking. "You know, it is your fault though." His hands shook as he held Charles closer, teeth gritting as his grief melted away into nothing but pure rage. "Bringing him here and all. You really should've seen this-"

"Shut up!" Edwin screamed, the familiar pull in his gut as he thrust his hand outward, shoving the man against the wall, before he reached back into his mind, pulling on the thread that connected him to the demon that he'd brought alongside him. "Dæmonium! Da mihi auxilium tuum!" He chanted, letting his magic meld with David's innate energy.

Thought you'd never ask. Edwin felt the demon respond. Edwin's gaze, now black as night, fell upon Mick, and immediately he knew which words to say. "Sedna! Hear me!" He called, magic sending his voice to the sea. "Your child has forsaken, thee. Will you stand for this injustice, for those outcasted to be defiled by his greed?"

Mick laughed, a horrible bitter sound, and Edwin steeled himself. No matter what happened after this point, he knew one thing for certain. He would not let this man hurt another one of his friends.

basically, my rant was all about the fact you can’t like pairings of characters most don’t like.

Imagine validating an idea as horrible and problematic as a 15/16 year old girl who just lost her boyfriend being annoying because she cries in the midst of a terrible grieving process and post-traumatic stress. Imagine narratively complimenting another girl because that girl doesn't cry. Imagine you're JK Rowling and you say you're a feminist but all the teenage girls who behave like teenage girls in your books get a ton of criticism and bashing and you only treat positively those who fit within feminine standards or conform to men's fantasies. It's just fucking disgusting. I mean Lavender is a gossipy and normal teenage girl who likes basic teenage things and clearly she has to be an annoying creep because she likes Ron, because of course Ron is for Hermione who has more important things to do with her life like reading books and being the best in class. Because clearly, you can't be intelligent and hardworking and at the same time frivolous and feminine if you're a woman in Rowling's eyes; you have to be one or the other.

You also can't be a vulnerable teenager with emotions you can't control, or be in mourning, or be unable to know what you want after a traumatic event, or prefer to cover up for your best friend over whatever political shit you're stirring up, you have to be a tough chick who only has guy friends and who doesn't cry because big girls don't cry and who instead of solving things civilly casts spells violently and who has outbursts of a real rude bitch like Ginny, because that's what a real girl is, that's a cool girl that boys like, a girl who's not like the others, a warrior girl. In Rowling's world you can't have ovaries and feelings at the same time, it's impossible, it doesn't happen.

Y sí me encanta cómo olvidan convenientemente que Hermione es un año mayor que Ron y Harry, con lo que en el 4to libro tiene 15/16, no 14/15. Predictions for Soukoku’s fate (BSD CH 109 spoilers!!)

How I be looking after dedicating two posts on the possibility of Chuuya not being a vampire due to the fact he was faceless for absolutley no reason during some chapters, thinking it was important: 

alright people, i wish i could express my embarassment further but instead of kicking my feet, screaming and crying over my miscalculations, i will proceed to (hopefully) redeem myself with my following predictions.  

Guys, first of all I need to tell you something that I think is absolutely obvious: Dazai is not going to die. 

thematically, it makes absolutley no sense for Dazai to die considering how many characters still depend on him, EVEN HIMSELF.

We still haven’t learned his backstory, we still haven’t had a cathartic moment between Akutagwa and Dazai, Atsushi is yet to learn more from his mentor, and he’s overall a very key character to foil others and develop them while he’s at it.

Even Dazai himself dying right now feels extremely weightless, we haven’t even learned anything about Dazai’s past and he’s already killed? without growing as a person? without fullfilling Oda’s promise?  I don’t know, personally to me, direction wise, development wise and plot wise killing him off is absolutley nonsensical.

Asagiri does tend to take a very unique and unpredictable route with his writing and characters, but for plots sake, I highly doubt Dazai is gone forever.

Also, Fydoor and Dazai continue throwing uno reverse cards at each other, always catching one another unexpectedly. I am still going strong on the idea that Double Black will catch Fyodor off-guard.

Fyodor during these whole prision sections has been constantly belittling and teasing Dazai over how shallow his bond with Chuuya is.

When that’s beyond the truth. Dazai and Chuuya’s trust is literally undying. Stormbringer, the double black chapter and dead apple show us this in the most obvious way possible.

Asagiri himself has quoted that Soukoku knows each others motives, which has also been proven plenty of times when they are working together. 

Dazai himself admited there really was moments where their hearts reached out to one another.

and I think that’s enough to understand, Fyodor is wrong. THEY ARE DOUBLE BLACK FOR A REASON!!!

So far in this chapter, I got various things confirmed. Let’s walk through them together. 

1. Dazai’s nullifcation ability works on vampires, confirmed by Fyodor himself.

So what does this tell us? That Dazai had been planning all along to get in contact with Chuuya. He knew his partner’s abilities will break him out of the water trap, he’s not dumb.

So Dazaj totally meant to get in physical contact with Chuuya in order to nullify his vamparism. And no, it’s not only because Dazai cares for Chuuya (which is a true statement, but not the main reason.) It’s because out of everyone in this room, Chuuya is the only one able to physically overpower Fyodor. 

And even if Chuuya somehow can’t overpower Fyodor, atleast Chuuya can be Dazai’s bodyguard considering well...Dazai’s countless of injuries. Chuuya is Dazai’s ticket to get out of the prision.

Dazai needs Chuuya in his corner. He needs double black in action. He needs Chuuya. 

2. Dazai is genuienly frustrated that his plan to bring back Chuuya didn’t work.

I can’t be the only one who ADORED seeing Dazai panicking. (I sound so masochistic but seriously, it’s rare to see Dazai unmask this way).

Anyways, Dazai’s panic and frustrating during these pannels are unfortunately proof that things did not go at all how he planned.

3. Aya is attempting to take out the sword that stops Bram from having full atonomy on his vampire abilty. 

If by any luck, Aya is able to detach the swoard from Bram, Chuuya and literally every other vamp will return to normal. (which honestly, let’s do hope Aya removes the sword bc this is getting too agonizingly dragged out.)

4. Chuuya and Dazai are destined to....

 kiss?? marry?? make out under the moonlight??

Nono my friends, Chuuya and Dazai are destined to die together.

Chuuya and Dazai dying together has been hinted since Fifthteen, but my theory of these two dying together strenghtened during Stormbringer when Mori teased Dazai about a double suicide with Chuuya.

I’m not saying they will die right now but in order to solidify the need for Shin Soukoku in Yokahama.....

This old married couple gotta go and make room for the highschool sweethearts/hj

5. Dazai took the L

Honestly, I won’t lie to you and say that Dazai’s way out of this situation is going to be hard. But Dazai has attempted to kill himself plenty of times, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has shot a bullet through his head in his early 20s. (Im not joking when I say this i swear).

Anyways, Dazai seems somewhat imune to death and honestly, his character is too important to die, especially in such a meh, anticlimatic way. 

Dazai said it himself best, him and Chuuya are destined to die together.

6. Vampire Chuuya’s expression

I mean,,,, what is the need for the random three little pensive speach bubble ?? we have been proven by Akutagawa that vampires are capable of some sort of sentinence, especially when it’s tied to their deepest desieres/mental strenghts.

I don’t have anywhere grand to go with this but, I just wanted to point it out lol.

ALL IN ALL

I can’t say for sure what is going to happen, but with Aya’s attempts of removing the swoard the possibility for Chuuya to become concious and do something to get out of there and save Dazai still remain pausible in my books.

I am not too confident on where this section of the story will go exactly but I am certain that Soukoku won’t die yet. MARK MY WORDS!!!

So, I've had a bit of an emotional journey when it came down to getting these trolls uploaded and, uh.I'm sort of in a venty mode, so I'm doing a read more cut just so I don't bother people (TW for Drug Abuse and Suicidal Thoughts mentioned)

It became less of "lol, look at all these trolls I've had over the years, let's sell them" to a bit of a crippling "I did this to cope with what was happening to me and this is the financial repercussions of that"

When I joined the Homestuck fandom, I was 16. A long ago ex-friend had gotten me into it because he was an obsessive fan and I REALLY liked astrology at the time, so obviously what was gonna stop me from getting into this silly little webcomic? (Nepeta my BELOVED! Leo's for life!!!)

I've never really shared this with anyone outside of my CLOSEST of close friends, but I was in a really nasty situation. My parents were on drugs, deeply into it at the time of me joining Homestuck, and were basically nonexistent at that point of my life. They'd disappear for days at a time with no sign of them coming back anytime soon, so, while looking after my little brother, I'd get lost in this fandom and obtaining fantrolls was my own sick little kick

I wasn't creative at the time to really make my own, I'd just use sprite bases and all my own guys were basic as hell, but, when I found out troll adopts were a thing, I was OBSESSED

Some oldies might remember me being EVERYWHERE back in the day on DA under the unusualKitten alias. I was on every single page I could find trying to get at least ONE fantroll that someone had posted newly in the groups. It was amazing! I could drown myself in these guys I was getting and bury myself in art of them so that I could avoid the world that I was stuck in

Honestly, without that "distraction", I probably would've killed myself years ago

It was all I had in a shit world, it even led me making a short-time friend in my final year of high school, but it was fun

And then I grew up

Some things happened that involved me being the fucking savior of my family by dragging them out of that hell with my own two broken hands only for the sake of my brother. My mom got clean, my dad died because he couldn't get clean, I had been working a job in which case they'd have stolen my money almost every time I got it (like THAT was anything new), and we were just sort of stuck in limbo for a long time after that

I was still a part of Homestuck, but I wasn't A part of it anymore, if that makes any sense. Most I done was win a spot in the For Fans By Fans design contest with my Heir's Tears submission (Only 1 or 2 people bought the shirt and, two those people, I FUCKING LOVE YOUUUU, y'all are so cool), but I was pretty much dead in the water

Until I reconnected with my bestest friend

She helped me to regain the love again, as we'd rp a lot with all our different versions of canon characters bc we're maniacs (Which will ALL be featured in MSCOTT once I get back on the ball for writing it!)

And, as I sit here today, looking back on everything that happened 11 years ago, I've realized that things are a lot different now. I'm no longer the heavily traumatized kid I was back then, I have a life outside of the fantrolls I've hoarded over the years

And, yeah, it hurts seeing a lot of these guys go, it feels like a bit of myself is leaving with them, but that's not a part of my life anymore, that was a part of HER life

To honor the dead and corral the spirits in the most significant building in Nevarra, right. THE thing that sets Nevarra apart is their relationship with death. Cultural identity established. So. The Nevarran Pyramid, the Neveran Notre Dame. Extremely hallowed, societally significant (and you probably get stunts pulled there all the time, and people who aren't represented in it's tombs bitching about taxes going to it) and yet...probably a tourist trap on the outside/most accessible levels. Like you get all kinds of freaks, history and nerds and outsiders and people like me, wanting to visit the Parisian catacombs, right. You probably have people being foolish and offensive and too into it.

And you know what? I thought my Rook would be Dirge-and it may still be, we'll see how he reads to being in DA lore, safe from Bhaal-but what you might actually get, is.

A little bit Templar in function. So the Paladin thing still works in that it's about supressing the undead, that's why I thought Dirge at first. But I think he's a general fan of death, versus murder specifically. I don't know that he makes bodies, but he is enthused about them.

Who is actually, depending on when he joined the Mourn Watch, FULLY committed to the bit of being a bit of a Jolly Gravedigger/Tour Guide/Big Sword Murder Guy. Like if he's an adult man who has excelled at this career path, he has to be 1. weird (I know, as someone getting into the death industry) 2. really into it. 3. Cheerfully goth as fuck. I think if a shovel or a scythe was an option as a weapon, he'd choose it.

That, to me, reads much less Dirge, and a little more. What. Dante Devil May Cry? Like if Pyramid Head was eating cheese pizza and this wasn't what he got a degree for, but it was a job he's really passionate about?

I have many thoughts about specific songs that I wanted to share if ur interested it’s here :3

So these are some ideas I’ve had for maybe CMVs, or certain audios I want to film to when I complete my Icarus cosplay. (Most of these will be Icarus probably)

I’ll start with specific CMV scenes I had in mind for ones I may storyboard around,

Song - Disembodied mind by sparkbird.

So I have thoughts about this song, many of them, but I have one specific part in the song I think about as the Icarus ascention and what comes after. I feel like the majority of the song is Icarus in various points of fable, but whenever I hear it switch to the music before saying eyes shut tight” is Icarus’s ascention. They’re in the worldport in the next verse, and it’s them switching things back to what they had been before, trying to get a hold on being quixis.

When it goes back to the vibe change of the next “Say goodbye to the stranger on the other side” they were able to fix it, all the sheets are back to normal and the world of fable is fixed. Then when it goes back to the “I am in trouble with myself again. I am in trouble trouble trouble trouble.”

It’s Ven guys. Ven gets there. The last “I am in trouble” being them making eye contact with Icarixus.

Song - Murders from Miracle Musical

Now I’m actually working on finishing the full storyboard for a CMV idea with this song. Because I think about corruption too much to not. So I’ll share a very specific idea I had that sparked the idea of making a full CMV!

These are directly from some of my notes -

Starts as Sherb being nice and letting Haley out, just following and observing. When the music gets more intense sherb starts actually pursuing her/chasing her.

- Softer music is Haley running and then the “Ba da da da da da da” sharper notes in between that would go to corrupt sherb chasing after her. Good sound for one shot of sherb taking off to the end islands. One of the last of the sharper notes is the arrow. Then the transition to the soft piano is Haley’s death.

All for nothing at all would make sense for them with their whole spiel to enderian “is this what you wanted!?”

I’m not going to list a lot because I definitely have 273 audios favorites specifically to use for them so-

1 - I really enjoy that Isle of Dogs has made comeback through Tiktok audios because that move- mmmmm. I did cry.

Okay there that one audio that compiles both of the “I bite” and “I don’t know why I bite” scenes into one, but I would split that into two deprecate videos. I think one would be Icarus talking to Rae, “I am not you pet, I never liked you, I don’t care about you, I won’t wait for you,l. I bite.” Because oh me when brothers. Me when they argue and Icarus pretends not to care about him to create some distance. “I’m not your brother”.

The “I don’t know why I bite” scene would be them sitting with someone they love, I always imagine it’s them talking with Centross. Them feeling guilty about fighting with their family or smth, or it’s them talking to the things “why do I hurt everything I love?” Energy.

2 - “Fight little Wolf Fight!” Me when whisper duo. I just looked through my audios and ahhh I can’t not say the whisper duo ones.

Kazuma Kiryu

Type of dummy to not even realize he's gotten any blood on him until he's like literally putting his clothes into the washing machine. The first time you pass out from seeing blood on him, he'll honestly just take you to a hospital because he's going to think it's a heart attack. Once he realizes what it is, he will TRY to better about it but he's still oblivious as hell. Starts buying more bleach so he can scrub stains out better and tells you to not look in the washing machine if he got into a fight the night before and threw his clothes in the wash.

Majima Goro

He's actually pretty good at cleaning himself up so chances of him coming home covered in blood are low. He even keeps his knife clean. The issue will probably stem from him getting punched particularly hard in the face and coming home to get some bandages only to freak you out on accident. He'll start freaking out to and it's only when you come to and frantically explain your phobia that he will scurry off the bathroom and wipe his face clean before running back and apologizing profusely. He will be more careful in the future.

Akiyama Shun

Seldom gets blood on him so it's even more shocking when he does come home with a particularly nasty cut on him. When you pass out, he's just stunned and starts checking your breathing or for a pulse. Instantly calmer when he realizes you are in fact not dead. He actually might realize on his own what's going on, as he knows it's super rare for him to get bloodied. Will try to discreetly go clean himself up before you can wake up.

Saejima Taiga

This poor, sweet man. He punches people too darn hard. That's the problem here. Most likely he'll come home with bloodied knuckles that you won't see until he's gotten much closer, to which you pass out on sight. Saejima might actually start crying because he has zero idea what just happened. He actually calls Majima first to ask what he should do, to which Majima asks him plainly "Did ya clean up before ya went home?" to which Saejima is silent and hangs up the phone before rushing to wash himself off. Will apologize the hardest out of all the boys.

Tanimura Masayoshi

Since his fighting style is more focused on disarming people safely, he rarely sheds blood when he gets in fights. Most of the times, he comes into contact with it if he gets hit or if it's a grizzly crime scene. It probably gets on his jacket without him realizing. He'll probably notice it when he takes off his jacket at home and absentmindedly says "Oh, didn't realize I got this dirty." to which you also look at it and then pass out. Unlike the rest of the boys, Tanimura puts two and two together pretty quick as he's seen similar reactions a few times at crime scenes, so he immediately tosses the jacket in the wash and makes sure you're sitting comfortably while you're passed out.

Ryuji Goda

He is the MOST likely to come home with blood on him for many reasons. Doesn't help that he doesn't mind scars so he's not super inclined to avoid getting hit because he knows he's built like a tank. It'll take him a second to process that you passed out the second he walked in. He'll immediately call Omi Alliance members in, mitigating people to call a hospital and prepare the car to take you in for medical help. It isn't until one Omi Alliance member points out the blood on him that he thinks he should clean up. When you come to in the midst of the hubbub, you explain to everyone what it is in embarrassment but in actuality Ryuji is the most embarrassed for not realizing he was just walking around all bloody.

Nishikiyama Akira

He doesn't get blood on him, period. He's a clean freak and likes his hair and clothes pristine so if he does get messy in a fight, he'll get it taken care of before anyone can notice. Honestly, probably is more bothered by blood than you might be. Seeing how much Kiryu beats guys up makes HIM feel squeamish sometimes. If somehow he gets clumsy and forgets, he'll figure out pretty quickly. He WILL freak out about the fact you passed out though. He doesn't like blood either but he's never really just passed out at anything so he's sort of panicking, all the while mumbling under his breath "Ah, shit, shit!"

Mine Yoshitaka

Same boat as Nishiki except blood doesn't bother him at all. He's VERY clean, so the only time he'd come home with blood on him is if he got hit or cut particularly hard in a fight. He'll try to not let you see it just out of basic decency but in his hastiness to get into the bathroom to wash the blood off, he sparked your concern and didn't notice you following him to the bathroom. When you see him at the tub washing blood down his arm, you just pass out, surprising the hell out of Mine. He's a smart man so he covers his wounds and gets you laid down comfy on the couch and waits for you to wake up. More so scared that you passed out as he's worried you might've hit your head.

Daigo Dojima

Similar to Akiyama, Daigo seldom gets blood on him. He probably didn't notice he hit someone unusually hard and got some spattered onto his suit. He's stunned when his usual "Honey, I'm home" is met with you passing out upon seeing the red blots on his shirt. He rushes to your side and calls an ambulance just in case. When the doctors determine that nothing is wrong with you and Daigo explains the series of events, they suggest to him maybe you have a blood phobia and Daigo has a little moment of "...oh!" before looking down at his shirt and realizing he's been walking around like this the whole time in front of everyone.

Tatsuo Shinada

This man's oblivious as hell so he definitely just didn't notice he got blood on him, regardless of the reason. Type of guy to walk around with a black eye and not notice until he looks into a mirror He freaks out the most out of all the boys when you pass out upon seeing him. Might accidentally just try shake you awake out of sheer panic or splash cold water on you, anything to wake you up. Once you do wake up and explain things to him, he might cry and say something like "Thank goodness, I thought you just died or somethin'!". Truly a silly goose man.

“Fineee, just try not to be late ahem again ahem. You know how the history teacher is. Also be careful in there you never kno-“ ; started rambling.

“I know, mom. Don’t worry if something happens I’ll just curl up in a ball and cry.” * smiled and gathered her things up (which weren’t a lot). The now standing girl left not before waving to the two others.

After I accidentally left, whatever the stuff on my plate was, I walked out of the cafeteria . I didn’t technically lie to my friends about the ‘going to the toilet’ part. I really did go and proceeded to look at my reflection. Thankfully and surprisingly no one was in the girls bathroom.

‘He noticed my makeup…’ was the only thought I had in my head when I was leaving the toilets and making my way to the stairs.

It’s already been 6 minutes. The walk from the cafeteria to the stairs was 2 minutes if you walk a bit faster (which he always does). We’ve met here a few times and usually it takes him a maximum of 4 minutes but 6? That’s not normal. I know I’m overreacting but I just have a gut feeling. I decided to walk around the hallway in hopes of meeting him halfway.

‘Maybe a teacher just held him up?’ I thought to myself, trying to reason with his absence.

While walking I heard voices. Being the noisy person I am, I decided to take a peek. The noise was coming from a separate hall that connected the two parts of the school. The voices were two… a girl and a boy. A boy… Wait… that’s \! That’s why he was late. Someone pulled him aside to talk. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

The girl continued to express herself but it all was washed out by that one sentence.

“I like you!”

The weight came back and this time it was suffocating. I don’t know what I was feeling. It wasn’t anger or sadness or even envy. It just… hurts? It hurt the way his name rolled off her tongue, the way she was smiling at him like she already knew the answer to her confession, the way her eyes were filled with what I could only assume as love.

Why was I hurt by this? It’s not like we were together… my crush was ‘nothing serious’. I don’t even know what his response was. My mind just shut out every noise around me. All I could hear was my heartbeat. It’s like I could hear a crack. A crack in the wall I had built myself… or a crack in my heart?

“Ouch”

I whispered underneath my breath. Not really caring if they heard me. I just turned around and walked. It was like I was walking for hours while my thoughts were running wildly. It was almost comical how that one sentence was repeating in my head like a broken record. My feet carried me to class. I sat down in my seat still thinking until ~ and ; sat next to and behind me.

“How was your commercial break * ? I bet it was better than being in that stupid, loud hell hole.” ~ whined, pulling her stuff out.

“Turns out the whole school didn’t like whatever that was. There were loads of uneaten plates in the trash…” ; sighed, already having put her books on her desk.

“Oh, yeah… Not surprised, I would’ve done the same.” * replied snapping back to reality.

“Next time throw it out yourse-“ ~ stopped herself when she heard my phone.

Bzzz bzzz bzzz bzzz

I looked at the lit up screen already knowing who it was.

“Are you not gonna answer?” Asked ; concerningly.

I thought for a second.

“Nahhh, it’s probably nothing important.” I smiled at my friends while turning my phone screen down.

“We’re going to see each other tomorrow y'know…” ; told the other girl.

I smiled and waved. I get off the bus a few stops before them so these goodbyes were normal.

The walk ,although short, was quiet. Not because the streets were empty, quite the opposite. I was left alone with my thoughts again. I definitely overreacted. In my defence this has never happened to me before. How am I supposed to know how to react? I was just so stunned that my mind was trying to figure out what emotion to connect to that scenario. It just suddenly hit me at that very moment… it wasn’t a ‘nothing serious’ crush. I actually liked him… a lot… more than whoever that was. I’ve never had an actual crush before. I hate how it feels but at the same time I wouldn't trade it for the world…

Now that I’m thinking about the moment, the confession. Something that I didn’t notice was the way his eyebrows were furrowed. Almost as if questioning her. I don’t know what he said because I left but something about the way he was standing and the way he looked at her didn’t look right. His eyes didn’t hold the wrath the girl in front of him was radiating…

I should probably reply to his texts. I can't just avoid him. There’s still a bit of hope left…

For those of y'all just getting here, I'm using this list here as my guidelines for What Music I Believe Bill Cipher Would Like, Loosely Based On Canon.

1. Yeah I think he'd like ABBA (or, y'know, BABBA, as the case may be). He likes party music and that's like, party music of the 70s—though I imagine he lost interest in them as they stopped being contemporary.

But more importantly, it gives me the mental image of Dipper singing Disco Girl and Bill Fucking Cipher joins in like "I LOVE THIS SONG!" He'd be mortified.

Now I'm just thinking of parody song titles for BABBA. "Hand Me! Hand Me! Hand Me! (A Guy Late At Night)." "Mommy Mama." "The Loser Takes Nothing." "Dollars, Dollars, Dollars." "Superb Soldier."

2. Now, I've said I think Bill is all over well-known psychedelic music, so you'd think Grateful Dead would be top of the list; but when I sit and listen to their top hits, it makes me think less In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida or Jefferson Airplane, and more John Denver, so thus far I've passed over them. But digging a bit deeper I'm finding more stuff that gives me Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds vibes, so this is probably just a sign that I need to finally fill in the Grateful Dead-shaped hole in my mental musical library like I've been meaning to do for years. I'm gonna tentatively say "yes" just due to the fact that it's the Grateful Dead, but I haven't listened to them enough to say WHAT he'd enjoy.

3. I will grant that it's very funny to imagine Bill laying on a bed staring at the ceiling while "NOBODY, NOBODY, NOBODY—" blasts at top volume. However I think the main reason it's funny is because it's jarringly incongruous. Most of Mitski's music is dreamy-sounding, deeply introspective, and carried not by simple pop-friendly melodies but by the the complexity & poetry of the lyrics—and I think all of those are things Bill tends to steer away from. "Can you take psychedelics to it in the back of a van with tie-dye tapestries on the wall?" or "Can you rave to it?" covers most of his casual music listening.

(However, I do think he's got an ex girlfriend who did beat poetry that sounds kinda like Mitski lyrics as performed by a screaming death metal band. Someday I'll get around to drawing some of his exes.)

4. I say this as somebody who loves "Again" and "Echo"—I think he'd hate them, & probably most of Kikuo's music. There's a vast breadth of Vocaloid music—it's not really a genre so much as it is an instrument—and while I don't necessarily think he'd outright reject anything made with Vocaloid, I do think he'd steer away from the lyrically darker music. Like I said, I don't think he likes deeply introspective music. This triangle hasn't acknowledged or explored a negative emotion in a bajillion years and he's not about to start now. I mean, come on:

Cause I am on fire; a crying, burning liar; seeing nothing, nothing, but myself; and I'm the one with the lighter!

Is that about Bill? Sure, that's about Bill!!! You could insert it into the middle of the axolotl poem and hardly even notice.

(Making this was a mistake, in my head I started singing "if he wants to shirk the blame, he'll have to invoke my name" to the tune of "Again". Unplanned new headcanon voice for the Axolotl.)

However, "this describes Bill well" doesn't mean "Bill would like this." In fact, I think "this describes Bill well" almost guarantees that Bill would dislike a particular song. The fact that "Again" has such an apt description of him is exactly why he'd despise it. If you try to play this in his hearing, he's blowing up the speaker, burning down the house, turning your head into an ice cream cone and biting it off, and then telling his stunned silent friends that he got tired of this whiny boring music now let's go destroy something fun. Assuming he doesn't simply show no reaction to it at all so that he can avoid showing weakness.

Just about any songs about doubt, remorse, or bad feelings are gonna get the same reaction out of him. He doesn't wanna touch them with a ten foot pole. Music is for partying, music is for escapism. I can see him enjoying a darker song if it's framed in a way that invites the listener to derive voyeuristic schadenfreude from the singer's suffering—but if it's meant to confront you or discomfort you, or if listeners are expected in any way to personally identify with the lyrics, he's not touching it.

I could potentially see him listening to some of Kikuo's music if he can engage it STRICTLY as a party song. For instance, Gomenne Gomenne has sections that make it a solid dubstep song—with frenetic wordless singing on top, I think that'd appeal to Bill—so he might could put it on at a party... as long as the party is loud enough that he doesn't have to pay any attention to the lyrics about horrific child abuse and the resultant trauma. Maybe find a remix that leaves out all the lyrics about low self-esteem, brokenness, and worthlessness—but leave in the bits about rib soup, he thinks that part's funny once the context is removed. Violence is great, he just doesn't wanna be expected to pity someone.

It's a big stretch, though. If I had to pick Vocaloid songs for him, I'd look for either party-ready EDM with relatively bland lyrics or the really experimental pieces that do ear-hurting insane discordant things by pushing the Vocaloid program to the limits of the sounds it can generate; but I probably wouldn't pick Vocaloid for him at all.

5. I don't have anything special to say about Kate Bush, I just don't think anything about her music would intrigue him but there's nothing about it that would specifically deeply rub him the wrong way. Since I assume he's passingly familiar with most notable popular/mainstream artists, I'm sure he's heard her hits, he could probably sarcastically bang out a few bars of "Running Up That Hill" on the piano if he ever somehow found himself in a situation where sarcastic "Running Up That Hill" would be fitting; but the same could be said of any other chart-topping musician.

so, hi. I was just thinking about joker out lyrics in general, and I thought, lemme see which songs were easy to learn and just what my first opinions about each song were (warning: this is long)

Umazane misli:

Gola - I fell in love once I heard the first interlude (before 'neki se dogaja dej me zmer utrip') and I guess it took me around three to four listens to get the hang of the lyrics. This song gives me butterflies in my stomach 🥰

Umazane misli - HA. do I even need to say anything here? It's been almost two years since I first heard this song. I learnt the lyrics on the. first. listen. This is huge considering that, at the time I was still getting used to the fact that ex-yugoslavian languages have major differences between them. These lyrics will be etched in my brain forever.

Vem da greš - oh this used to be a skip for me in the early days of jo brainrot. then boom! clicked on the acoustic version and realised how awesome this song really is. I always thought this song just screams 'pop rock'. it has one of my favorite lyrics ever : "kupim karto do vesolja če zemlja pregori" and jan really did something here with interlude (I am kissing you tenderly on the forehead mr. peteh)

Proti toku - I know people have noticed this, but the starting guitar riff is very similar to the one in Sweet Child O' Mine. Already a green flag. Wasn't really a huge fave of mine but I'm appreciating it a lot since Stožice. Going against social norms? Awesome meaning, awesome lyrics. I still haven't got the hang of the lyrics though (for some reason I just can't grasp it 😅)

Dopamin - Ah yes. This song always sounded a bit different from their sound, with all the synths, you know? But it is a certified dance song (stožice has proved that) and I am so fucking obsessed with kris' backing vocals here like everytime he goes, "razum izgubil je svoj glas" I just agdjspsneksldnsl and also the chorus is so satisfying to hear with bojan's angelic voice. I will stand by the statement that the stožice version surpasses the studio one by a mile.

Barve oceana - woohoo! This song is just so so fun and I've never been able to sit in one place whenever I listen to this. Lyrics are obviously a m a z i n g. and bojan's explanation just made it loads better! Extremely catchy, so obviously that I memorized the lyrics within two listens. Can't forget the stožice version with kris' "aaahhh" at the back.

Metulji - I purposefully avoid listening to this song (sometimes) cause the first time I did, it took me like ten minutes to come back to reality. I'm pretty sure I'll cry if I listen to it even now. And the VIOLIN?!! pls it's so beautiful. "Pleševa zadnji ples, da spet zadihava"??? I am dead on the floor. True masterpiece and I'll always be proud of our five little guys for creating this.

A sem ti povedal - oh god. This song was made to murder all of us. The minute I heard the starting guitar part, I was convinced I was not going to survive those three minutes. First, the lyrics. They are so beautiful, so poetic, so intense, so profound. Sometimes I feel weird singing along just cause of the sheer meaning this song holds and how I'll probably never experience these feelings. Also the last part? when I first listened to it, I didn't just die, I ascended to another plane of existence. Also have to mention kris' backing vocals once again. Especially the "šepetaj mi koliko me hočeš" You know what? Why don't you just kill me instead? And. the. video. They really decided the song wasn't enough and proceeded to pull on our heartstrings with THOSE visuals. Obsessed with the whole idea of jure in the water. I think I know like 80% of the lyrics but I always fumble somewhere.

Bele sanje - similar to most of their songs, the prelude itself was enough for me to hyperfixate on this song. I had like a whole bele sanje phase in april where I didn't listen to any other song. the way bojan sings, "njen utrip se redko umiri"? god. also this song was when I realised I was actually into this whole indie rock vibe of theirs (bele sanje was the third joker out song I listened to) and the whole concept of the badass female protagonist? Love it.

Omamljeno telo - oh omamljeno telo my love 🥰🥰🥰. bojans singing style was evidently different here, but there was a rawness to it that intrigued me. and guitars are the major reason why I love this song! obviously this interlude is one of my favorites from joker out songs. just 100% pure talent. My fave lyric is, " a vetra se ne da ujet tako lahko, nekdo pa je utrgal mojo vrtnico" the lyrics were extremely easy for some reason and I find myself singing along to it completely sometimes.

14 - Any headcanons about your favourite region? -- For my fic set in Ionia I kept most things as close to canon as they're described with the Spirit Blossom festival, but I did make up a celebratory dance based on the traditional Japanese Bon Odori dance. I don't remember exactly how I came across it but it's in line with the themes of Spirit Blossom and the fic itself.

20 - If you got to add voicelines to a character of your choosing, what voicelines would you add? -- Definitely more lines for Kassadin. I want some encounter lines similar to the ones that Kai'Sa has towards him, ones of confusion / disbelief, and even anger. Contrast Kai'Sa's "could it be true?" with a plain "this isn't true" from Kassadin. Additionally have him cry out both Kai'Sa AND his dead wife's names. It says he does that in his color story. Please I just want to know what his wife's name was. More stuff about her in the long move voicelines as well, I just want a full look into how exactly his mind has deteriorated in all of his grief and blind fury / determination to avenge his family. Love that guy. Need him to be having the worst time ever.

27 - If you were to make another band in the Riot Records universe, what characters would you pick and what genre of music would they make? -- I'm gonna give two answers because I can't help myself. Technically 3 as I repeat my stance that I think RGM should stick with the groups they have and give them more songs instead of shoving out more groups that they put less time into producing, but anyway -- I'd really like to see Irelia as a kpop soloist, I'm so super surprised that she's never gotten a cameo in K/DA-verse as her whole thing is being a dancer. In my mind she's a bit older than the K/DA members, and someone that Kai'Sa has looked up to. Her music could be like Chung Ha, Jihyo, or Nayeon's stuff. My second answer is a female-led pop punk / indie pop/rock band because that's my favorite genre of music, and it could explore a lighter sound than Pentakill's metal. My mind has always put Rell or Katarina as the lead vocalist for that, but Zeri or perhaps Riven could work as well. These types of bands are either all female or a female lead vocal + two random guys she picked up at the mall, and prior to HEARTSTEEL I always had Aphelios in there, but if he's off doing that then maybe Akshan, Talon, maybe even Sylas?
