Tips for writing flawed but lovable characters.
Flawed characters are the ones we root for, cry over, and remember long after the story ends. But creating a character who’s both imperfect and likable can feel like a tightrope walk.
1. Flaws That Stem From Their Strengths
When a character’s greatest strength is also their Achilles' heel, it creates depth.
Strength: Fiercely loyal.
Flaw: Blind to betrayal or willing to go to dangerous extremes for loved ones.
“She’d burn the whole world down to save her sister—even if it killed her.”
2. Let Their Flaws Cause Problems
Flaws should have consequences—messy, believable ones.
Flaw: Impatience.
Result: They rush into action, ruining carefully laid plans.
“I thought I could handle it myself,” he muttered, staring at the smoking wreckage. “Guess not.”
3. Show Self-Awareness—or Lack Thereof
Characters who know they’re flawed (but struggle to change) are relatable. Characters who don’t realize their flaws can create dramatic tension.
A self-aware flaw: “I know I talk too much. It’s just… silence makes me feel like I’m disappearing.” A blind spot: “What do you mean I always have to be right? I’m just better at solving problems than most people!”
4. Give Them Redeeming Traits
A mix of good and bad keeps characters balanced.
Flaw: They’re manipulative.
Redeeming Trait: They use it to protect vulnerable people.
“Yes, I lied to get him to trust me. But he would’ve died otherwise.”
Readers are more forgiving of flaws when they see the bigger picture.
5. Let Them Grow—But Slowly
Instant redemption feels cheap. Characters should stumble, fail, and backslide before they change.
Early in the story: “I don’t need anyone. I’ve got this.”
Midpoint: “Okay, fine. Maybe I could use some help. But don’t get used to it.”
End: “Thank you. For everything.”
The gradual arc makes their growth feel earned.
6. Make Them Relatable, Not Perfect
Readers connect with characters who feel human—messy emotions, bad decisions, and all.
A bad decision: Skipping their best friend’s wedding because they’re jealous of their happiness.
A messy emotion: Feeling guilty afterward but doubling down to justify their actions.
A vulnerable moment: Finally apologizing, unsure if they’ll be forgiven.
7. Use Humor as a Balancing Act
Humor softens even the most prickly characters.
Flaw: Cynicism.
Humorous side: Making snarky, self-deprecating remarks that reveal their softer side.
“Love? No thanks. I’m allergic to heartbreak—and flowers.”
8. Avoid Overdoing the Flaws
Too many flaws can make a character feel unlikable or overburdened.
Instead of: A character who’s selfish, cruel, cowardly, and rude.
Try: A character who’s selfish but occasionally shows surprising generosity.
“Don’t tell anyone I helped you. I have a reputation to maintain.”
9. Let Them Be Vulnerable
Vulnerability adds layers and makes flaws understandable.
Flaw: They’re cold and distant.
Vulnerability: They’ve been hurt before and are terrified of getting close to anyone again.
“It’s easier this way. If I don’t care about you, then you can’t leave me.”
10. Make Their Flaws Integral to the Plot
When flaws directly impact the story, they feel purposeful rather than tacked on.
Flaw: Their arrogance alienates the people they need.
Plot Impact: When their plan fails, they’re left scrambling because no one will help them.
Flawed but lovable characters are the backbone of compelling stories. They remind us that imperfection is human—and that growth is possible.

Chapter IV - The Killing Blow
The Narrator: You're on a path in the—
Voice of The Cheated: Okay, what the FUCK was that!?
The Narrator: —woods... excuse me?
Voice of The Cheated: He attacked us while it was still our turn! That's bullshit!
The Narrator: Okay, first of all, where the hell are you? You're supposed to be on a—
Voice of The Cheated: Yeah, yeah, on a path in the woods, we know. I think it's safe to say we're well past that now.
Voice of The Stubborn: Who CARES where we are? If we respawn in the cabin—
Voice of The Contrarian: Not sure I'd consider this a cabin anymore, really.
Voice of The Stubborn: —that just means we can get back to fighting him faster!
Voice of The Contrarian: No reaction? Really?
Voice of The Stubborn: If he attacks us during our turn, that just means we have to spend less time DELIBERATING, and more time ATTACKING! Now let's stop wasting time talking, and go FIGHT HIM!
The Narrator: Well, at least you seem to have your priorities straight, but—
Voice of The Skeptic: But *how* did he do that? We can't do anything but react - how is *he* any different?
Voice of The Opportunist: Now THAT'S a good question! Maybe he isn't different. Maybe we can attack during his turn as well!
Voice of The Stubborn: This is perfect! It means we don't have to waste all that time dodging! We can just get straight to the point.
Voice of The Hunted: No! Dodging is what keeps us alive—we *have* to keep dodging. Keep dodging until an opportunity presents itself.
Voice of The Opportunist: I like this guy. He's the only one speaking any sense around here, really.
Voice of The Paranoid: Are you all idiots? Don't any of you realize what this means? We're not safe *anywhere!* He can attack us *any time he wants!* And yet he hasn't done it until now - he's been holding back on us. Who knows what else he can do? Who knows what else he hasn't shown us?
Voice of The Broken: Exactly. It's hopeless. He's so much more powerful we could ever be. He's just been toying with us. We might as well save ourselves the suffering and just kill ourselves now.
Voice of The Smitten: It's never hopeless, as long as we have true love on our side! We must keep trying until we are reunited with our beloved, no matter how many times we have to slowly and painfully die.
Voice of The Cheated: Oh, there you are! You were quiet for so long, I thought we'd finally gotten rid of you. I think that's a new silence record, honestly.
Voice of The Cold: I was hoping he'd stay quiet forever. He never has anything new to say. It's always the same thing over, and over, and over...
Voice of The Smitten: I may be saying the same things over and over, but it is because they need to be said! Who else will express the fiery passions held deep within our heart if not myself?
Voice of The Opportunist: I think I speak for us all when I say: I don't like this guy. I think he's annoying.
The Narrator: Okay, no, hold on, how many of you are there? There's only supposed to be one of you! How many times have you been here?
Voice of The Hero: Um... I think... ten? Or... maybe eleven?
The Narrator: Eleven... oh, goodness, this is— this is... unfathomably catastrophic. Are you absolutely certain?
Voice of The Hero: Well, no, it's just an estimate.
Voice of The Cheated: I am. I've been keeping track. It's eleven.
The Narrator: This is... horrible. Every world you've been to has been damned to oblivion. You know that, right?
Voice of The Skeptic: We know that's what you've TOLD us.
Voice of The Opportunist: And we believe it wholeheartedly! You've never led us astray before. If anything, I think we could stand to listen to you *more.* That's probably why we've failed all those other times, if we're being honest.
Voice of The Hero: Uh, for clarification, our previous failures weren't for lack of trying. We did try! It's just that this is... EXTREMELY difficult.
Voice of The Broken: It's TOO difficult. Why can't any of you understand that it simply can't be done?
Voice of The Contrarian: They're lying. In fact, we've gone out of our way to disobey your instructions every step of the way! Honestly, we're just a bunch of troublemaking rapscallions, up to no good.
Voice of The Hero: Ignore him, he's just trying to get a reaction out of you. Just... trust me on this one.
The Narrator: I see... That's... horrible. But I suppose there's nothing to be done about it now. We just have to make the best of what we have. Let's just... put that out of our minds right now, and focus on anything else. Like, say, slaying the Princess. Actually, you keep talking about a "he"—who's "he?"
Voice of The Hero: The... skeleton. Over there?
The Narrator: The—...huh. I didn't even notice that was there. That's... not supposed to be there. What on earth did you do?
Voice of The Cold: Does it matter what we did? The end result is the same either way. There's a skeleton, and we have to fight him.
The Narrator: Yes, it *does* matter, actually, because if you've done something to cause there to be... a "skeleton," for whatever reason, then that means you can do something to cause there to *not* be a "skeleton."
Voice of The Hero: Wait, we can? How can we do that?
The Narrator: No, nevermind, I've already said too much.
Voice of The Contrarian: Oh, well now I *have* to know!
The Narrator: No, you don't. Believe me when I say that knowing will only make your job harder than it already is.
Voice of The Skeptic: Try to hide it from us all you like. We'll find out one way or another.
The Narrator: I'm sure you will. Now, is there still a Princess?
Voice of The Smitten: Of course there is! I'm sure of it. The Princess is right beyond that dastardly knave who's been trying to keep us apart.
Voice of The Hero: He means the skeleton.
The Narrator: Well, that's good, because that means things aren't completely ruined yet. You still have a chance to do this right. But for the love of everything, the princess is NOT "your beloved."
Voice of The Contrarian: Wait. What do you mean "completely ruined?"
The Narrator: Nothing. Pretend I didn't say that.
Voice of The Cold: It sounds interesting. I'd like to see what would happen if we ruined everything. It certainly sounds more exciting than fighting this skeleton over and over and over...
The Narrator: No. This is an INCREDIBLY dangerous train of thought. It's time to stop ruminating, and start ACTING. Just focus up, steel your nerves, and slay the Princess. Or, skeleton. Slay the skeleton, and then slay the Princess. Right. Now.
Voice of The Stubborn: FINALLY. Let's go slay ourselves a skeleton.
Voice of The Broken: Or we could do what he asks us to and leave.
Voice of The Opportunist: That's what I've been SAYING! See, this guy gets it. The skeleton's the one with the power here, after all.
Voice of The Hero: You've been saying that, yeah, but you've also been saying, like, million other different things. It's hard to tell what your opinion actually is at this point.
Voice of The Contrarian: Or, hear me out...
Voice of The Hero: Let me guess. We throw the blade out the window?
Voice of The Contrarian: NOW you're getting it!
Voice of The Stubborn: Ugh, stop wasting time already! I want to FIGHT!
* [Walk up to the skeleton.]
Voice of The Opportunist: That's a good move. Definitely the right decision.
*hmm. that expression. that's—
Voice of The Cheated: Yeah, yeah, expression of someone with a lot of internal conflict, yadda yadda yadda, we've heard it already!
Voice of The Cold: He's so dull. He hasn't said anything new in forever.
Voice of The Opportunist: Hey, have we tried attacking him during his opening monologue? That might be a good idea.
Voice of The Stubborn: YES!
The Narrator: Before the skeleton can even finish talking, you lunge toward him, blade held low. But by the time you land, he's—
Voice of The Cheated: Already somewhere else? Yeah. We know. Typical.
The Narrator: Correct.
* Hold on. What happened to me being the decider?
Voice of The Paranoid: Oh, so *now* you want to be the one making the decisions? The last six times you pushed all the responsibility of fighting onto us until something new happened.
* I thought you were the Voice of The Paranoid, not the Voice of The Petty.
Voice of The Paranoid: What—?
The Narrator: Muscle memory and reflex guide you as you evade the skeleton's attacks, but without your full attention on the fight, your performance is imperfect. A few scrapes from bones whizzing past you, a few burns from searing hot beams of light grazing your skin. Why does the skeleton have lasers?
*guess we're getting right into it, huh?
Voice of The Hunted: Stop arguing! The fight has begun! We have to keep on our toes.
Voice of The Paranoid: Now look what you've done!
Voice of The Broken: Why even bother? It won't matter in the end.
Voice of The Stubborn: He can't dodge forever. Just keep attacking.
Voice of The Hunted: No. We have to eat. Eating is important to stay healthy, and we need to be in the best condition possible if we're going to win this.
Voice of The Contrarian: Ooh, here's an idea! What if we scarf down all our food right now?
Voice of The Opportunist: You know, that's a good point—we don't know how long we'll be alive this time. We should eat as much as we can while we have the chance. Life's all about enjoying the good things while they last!
Voice of The Hunted: NO! We have to ration our food.
* We don't need to eat yet. If we ate it now we wouldn't benefit from its full potential. [Fight.]
Voice of The Hunted: This is bad too! If we're not in proper shape for his next attack we can't survive as many hits!
The Narrator: You lunge at him again, but—
Voice of The Cheated: Yeah, yeah, we know. He dodges.
*our reports—
Voice of The Stubborn: We've heard all this before! Get on with it!
Voice of The Skeptic: Am I the only one who thinks it might be important to figure out what he's talking about?
Voice of The Hunted: His words are just a distraction. Don't pay attention to them. Information doesn't matter. What matters is staying alive.
The Narrator: You tune out the skeleton's words until he begins to attack again. KARMA and adrenaline coursing through your veins, your reflexes carry you through the skeleton's onslaught. As you leap over one of the skeleton's spells, however, your leg falls below the rest of your body, dragging across the bones, its skin shredding.
Voice of The Paranoid: Shit!
Voice of The Cheated: Shit, that hurts.
Voice of The Cold: I've told you. This would be so much easier if you just stopped feeling pain.
Voice of The Hunted: No. Pain keeps us humble. Pain keeps us nimble. Pain keeps us alive.
* [Fight.]
*until suddenly—
Voice of The Stubborn: I'm TIRED of waiting! We attack him again!
The Narrator: He dodges again.
*wow. not even gonna let me finish talking, huh? your impatience has really damaged you, hasn't it?
Voice of The Stubborn: We attack.
The Narrator: He dodges again.
*i know what type of person you are. you—
The Narrator: Suddenly, he begins attacking you again mid-sentence.
Voice of The Hunted: Shit! Dodge, dodge!
Voice of The Stubborn: This is taking too long. What happened to attacking during his turn?
Voice of The Cheated: Now, I'm all for giving him a taste of his own medicine, but—
Voice of The Stubborn: We attack. Again.
The Narrator: I wouldn't recommend this course of action, but I suppose there's nothing I can do. You make no attempt to avoid his attacks, instead charging straight for him while his magic razes your lower body. Once again, he effortlessly dodges your swing. I hope you know what you're doing.
* What the hell was that?
Voice of The Stubborn: I'm doing what you all are too cowardly to do and FIGHTING! We attack again!
* Okay, no. We'll die if we do that again. We're eating. [Eat the Legendary Hero.]
Voice of The Hunted: Finally!
Voice of The Hero: Still not comfortable eating something called that.
Voice of The Smitten: I'd brave any amount of discomfort if it means getting us closer to our beloved.
Voice of The Hero: You've been surprisingly quiet lately.
Voice of The Cheated: Shhh. I like him better this way.
Voice of The Smitten: How dare you! If you find my passions so offensive, perhaps you should go somewhere else! I will not let my feelings be stifled for the sake of others. In fact, I'm going to talk more from now on.
Voice of The Hero: Now look what you've done.
The Narrator: You eat the Legendary Hero. The flavors of the sandwich's ingredients dance across your taste buds in tandem, creating something greater than any of them could ever be individually—
Voice of The Cheated: We know how it tastes.
The Narrator: Fine. As chunks slide down your throat, they dissipate into nothing. You feel your pain ease up as your body, as if by magic, heals at a remarkable pace.
* Actually, can we speed this along? We've seen this enough times already. We know how it goes. I attack, he dodges, he attacks, I dodge, and every once in a while I eat something. You can just describe the rest of the battle, right?
The Narrator: This feels reckless. Are you really going to relinquish your decision-making ability just to make things go a little faster? What if that bloodthirsty one takes control of you again?
Voice of The Paranoid: I'll hold him back.
Voice of The Hero: Ditto. He won't get another chance to do that again.
The Narrator: Well, alright then. You fall into the rhythm of the battle, the skeleton throwing jagged reflections of his own body parts at you while you gracefully dance out of the way of them all. Sometimes you find yourself falling towards the ceiling, or weaving around white hot beams of light, but none of it seems to faze you anymore. For every attack you avoid with near perfection, you dish out another swing of your own. But the skeleton evades yours flawlessly and without effort. Or so it seems, until...
*ugh... that being said...
Voice of The Cheated: Oh, we're wise to your tricks now!
Voice of The Smitten: Your devilish deceptions shan't fool us anymore! You are the only thing standing between us and the Princess, and we will not rest until you are vanquished!
Voice of The Opportunist: Honestly, I'm shocked anyone fell for this. It was obvious from the beginning he was just trying to get the upper hand.
Voice of The Hero: You were the first one to suggest we take his offer!
Voice of The Paranoid: Focus!!!
Voice of The Stubborn: WE ATTACK!
The Narrator: He dodges.
Voice of The Hero: Shit, sorry! I forgot!
* It's fine. Narrator, you can speed things up again.
The Narrator: Right. Whatever. What else am I good for. You continue to exchange near-blows as the skeleton- hold on, what was that he said about you "consuming timelines?" That's rich, coming from *him.* He's the one preventing you from saving the world in the first place! Whatever. You keep dodging until it's time for his "special attack."
Voice of The Hero: Wait, what? For real? We made it?
Voice of The Paranoid: FOCUS!
Voice of The Hero: Shit!
Voice of The Stubborn: WE ATTACK!
The Narrator: He dodges. Again.
*heh, didja really think you would be able to-
Voice of The Opportunist: NOW!
The Narrator: You attack again, this time catching him off guard. In a single strike, an enormous gash forms across his entire body.
Voice of The Cheated: Holy shit! We did it! We actually did it!
Voice of The Stubborn: YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Voice of The Hero: Wait, really? We've done it?
Voice of The Opportunist: We've done it! And it was all thanks to me, really. Where would you be without me?
Voice of The Cold: About time. This whole routine was getting so dull.
Voice of The Broken: What...?
Voice of The Skeptic: Finally. We can finally find some answers.
Voice of The Smitten: More importantly, we can finally see our beloved!
Voice of The Hunted: No time to celebrate. We never know when another threat might present itself. We have to stay on guard.
Voice of The Paranoid: No, we can't have defeated him. It can't have been that easy.
The Narrator: It was. It's over.
Voice of The Contrarian: As amazing as I'm sure your reaction to it would be, I'm going to refrain from killing all of us right now because I *really* don't want to go through all of that again.
Voice of The Hero: How generous.
* [Proceed.]
The Narrator: You make your way to the end of the corridor. There... isn't a staircase leading to a basement, but after the random skeleton, this is honestly the least of my concerns. You walk through the grey halls, the cold stone chilling your feet, until you find a doorway to a grand throne room. Grass and flowers peek through the frame, as if inviting you to step inside. If the Princess lives here... no, that doesn't work here, does it?
* [Enter.]
The Narrator: You stand inside a regal throne room, the walls shining gold. In the center lies a throne, seated in a bed of golden flowers. In front of it, the silhouette of...
OH! GREETINGS, BIRD MONSTER!
Voice of The Smitten: There he is! Our beloved!
The Narrator: ...a second skeleton wearing a blonde wig.

Don’t get me wrong, I love jayvik as much as the next autistic girl in this fandom. But I am very annoyed at jayvik OVERTAKING the entire fandom
Rant under the cut
Especially on tumblr if I look at the Single Viktor or Jayce tag, the ENTIRE thing is choked out by jayvik. And I like it, it’s cute, but it’s gotten to the point that I can’t see any content just appreciating their characters alone without the need of a ship. It’s the same for caitvi too
I think there’s something to be said when analyzing season 2, that it’s a perfect example of why writers should not let fans dictate their story’s. Jayvik had phenomenal build up in S1, but the way they were portrayed in S2 felt like fan service- let me explain
So much of the jayvik content I see is incredibly out of character and stereotypical (as many MLM pairings are reduced too) Viktor is either a helpless twink, or an all powerful god that has Jayce on a leash. Why are we making Viktor a shy soft boy? He was the CEO of the sassy man apocalypse?
It’s also very sad to see Jayce’s character get watered down to “pathetic himbo golden retriever twunk with no brain cells” and yeah, the pathetic Jayce memes are funny but it’s annoying when people think that’s ALL his character is. He gets written as a dick-for-brains dumbass with 0 common sense or basic skills… when he was a university educated engineer and eventually POLITICIAN
But back on topic to jayvik in s2 feeling like fanservice, a lot of the time I see fans wanting jayvik to have an almost codependent relationship, and that’s exactly the undertone a lot of jayvik moments in s2 had. The dynamic between Jesus/machine herald vik and Jayce was undoubtedly toxic with a huge power dynamic. I’m just very disappointed because I was excited to see jayvik be developed more in a creative way, and instead they just slapped on the soulmates trope.
And don’t get me wrong- do I love Viktors end monologue? Yes. Do I think they should have kissed with some tongue at the end? Absolutely. But the entire situation of s2 just felt icky, not to mention how Viktor completely lost is autonomy to the arcane TWICE in one season. Idk but Viktor becoming a whole maniacle malevolent god who wants to “perfect” all of humanity… but can only be brought back to his own humanity by his boyfriend just felt… cheap.
It felt like a metaphor for Viktors disability, and how he needed to be “saved” from himself. Which in turn completely nullified all of this character development. And do not get me STARTED on how much Viktors arc was ruined in season 2, that deserves a whole post in itself
Overall these are purely my opinions, and I’m still going to be hypocritically eating up jayvik content with a spoon because it’s still my favorite ship, I just believe it could have been portrayed better. Anyways thanks for sitting through my rant. if you disagree or have any other opinions I’d be delighted to hear. Peace out

Types of whumpees in a team
( This is just a few, lmk if you can think of more c:<)
Youngest teammate Whumpee
You get your reckless and brash whumpees who’d who’d do anything to prove themselves
Unknowledgeable new to the field
“ I can do it, on my own.”
Angry and defiant till their hurt
Trying to act tough but just people pleasers
Being left behind for ‘safety’ and probably the easiest to break
“ it’s for your own good Whumpee. It’s not safe out there.” queue them getting captured from said place that’s deemed safe
Stupid plans?? Youngest learns just how bad not thinking things through results in
Doing things due to pure peer pressure
A go to hostage since team would fight tooth and nail to get them back (?)
Always doing busywork and never on the field
“ I have done everything from making coffee to doing your laundry— How is this hero work? “
Being deemed not strong enough
Medic/ Doctor whumpees
Either stoic or overly doting
Exhausted from caring to much
Just exhaustion whump in general !!
Always the caretaker and never taken care of
Full ER / too many patients
Natural disaster or a horrible fight leaving them swamped with injured teammates ( maybe they’re hurt too)
“ I know everyone’s hurt— hold on i need a second…”
Getting hurt and knowing just how doomed they are
Using all the good supplies on the team and leaving themselves with ‘alternatives’
Trying to talk other members through healing themself, knowing if they faint they are as good as dead
Does your Medic snap?
“ How many times have i told you to be more careful?! every single time your in my office you’ve brushed death again—“ ( Angry or worried?)
Stitching themself up because they think they have the knowledge to keep themselves healthy too ( knowledge ≠ strength to save themselves )
Second in command/ Right hand ( Could be a sidekick?) Whumpee
A glorified PA juggling all the ‘less important’ tasks or running errands
Never getting the authority / leadership they want over the team
Always picking up everyone else’s slack
Paperwork and all the busywork and never getting the full credit
Sometimes people are too tired to be nice
Snappy, defiant and never backing down
Always trying to one up other team members or get recognition or affirmation because they never seem to get credit
Stuck in Leader’s shadow
The moment Leader is out everyone expects them to know what to do
“ I don’t know— Leader never let me have any say-?”
Loyal beyond fault ( too much so) maybe they let people be dicks just because they’re teammates
Too forgiving
Maybe Leader sticks the blame on them for failed missions
the perfect stoic whumpee 🌟
Leader Whumpee
Exhaustion, overworking, passing out , thugging through sickness — Leaders normally the one who checks in on people, but who checks in on them?
Putting themselves last
Guilt of failed missions, maybe blame from other teammates
Trying to guide the team while injured ( concussions 😌)
Never really being part of the team just there to keep themselves healthy too in check
Breaking under pressure
Survivors guilt
Being replaced
Leader being held hostage because the team would be in shambles without them
Humiliation— make the team stop believing in them
Self sacrifice
“ I’m sorry i know it’s my responsibility…”
Struggling to ask for help because they’re scared the team won’t come to them
Their life revolves around keeping their team safe, too selfless
The team just expecting them to know what to do
Trying to juggle looking after the team with Hero work
Doing all the chores, being expected to do the most and be selfless
Their higher ups see their overworking as a good thing and feed into it
Everyone just always assumes they’re fine because pfftt they’re Leader of course they’re fine!!
Stoic but pathetic ejenkeosos
Sighhh i just adore team whump. I could always go on about this because the amount of possibilities are near endless. Give me complex relationships between characters!! Make your whumpees suffer while no one around them bats an eye, toxic team dynamics suck but the whump around them… Found family but make it hurt comfort!!

Ok I am going to talk about something that's been on my mind recently.
Major warning ⚠️ might get deep.
Also ADHD RAMBLING SORRY IN ADVANCE 😔
Regarding Alastor and the Seven year absence. Ok so I see how In some recent posts people say Alastor must feel forgotten by the Hasbin crew, cause When Sir Pentious and Dazzle died they got a portrait and a statue. While Alastor got nothing. And Charlie thought he had died too.
But while that is true I'm surprised no one talks about how Alastor already felt Forgotten long before the fight. I'm talking about when he finally got home after 7 years disappearance.
My boy didn't get a Welcome home,( although he did get one from Carmilla later on)or a " Hey are you ok". Nothing. What does he get. Pushed around, Judged ( though it's quite understandable it's still wrong) and even told that he basically didn't matter. Remember the scene between Carmilla and Alastor. Alastor was basically asking her " Hey while I was gone, Did you at least think about me"?. And Carmilla response was definitely " Eh Not Really, But welcome back in any case".
Sure he looked pissed but if I was in his place I'd feel very hurt. I kinda noticed how everyone treats Alastor as if he is the worst thing in hell. When there so much worse * cough Valentino cough*
From what I understand he only targeted those that hurt others. Maybe Hell was pissed because in a way he was saving other souls. Taking them from their abusive owners. Which is fucked up but it's hell. What do you expect?
I firmly believe Alastor grew up in a abusive household and definitely witnessed his mother getting abused which definitely affected his psyche. Maybe his father killed his mother and after killing his father he vowed no one will ever go through what he went through.
So he targeted awful people and offed them. When he got to hell. I think he felt his work wasn't done yet and now he is in the land of abusers and monsters. Maybe deep down. He was the one SCARED 😨.
Maybe he killed so he could feel safe in a twisted way. He ended up selling his soul cause he was scared. His owner who i headcanon is like Mother Gothel definitely didn't help. She manipulated him into thinking she is keeping him safe. When In reality she was using him for his powers.
I also headcanon that ( now this is going to sound crazy) His owner forces him to dress and act the way he does. She wants to be the only one who can play with her toy. His owner definitely doesn't share. So she will try to make him look in her eyes unappealing. We all know this doesn't work though. As Vox had fallen in love with him.
Now I don't believe Vox ever hurt Alastor and as much as I love stories where he gets 😳 obsessed. I actually would be happy if they become best friends again and hope it was just a giant misunderstanding just like Fizz and Blitz.
Still something happened That hurt Alastor deeply that he now hates anything to do with television. My Headcanon is cause Vox started to spend more time with Valentino and accidentally leaving Alastor in the dark. Alastor enjoyed spending time with Vox. Going dancing at a club, listening to radio shows. Even cuddling in a blanket watching a movie. But I think the main reason he enjoyed Vox's company is cause, His owner couldn't touch him. She couldn't hurt him in any way.
Kinda like how a person wants there friend over so there abuser doesn't hurt them. The abuser won't cause they rather do their evil deed in secret.
In other words Alastor felt safe around Vox and when he started spending time with Valentino and less with him. His owner would hurt him.
But no one knew this cause Alastor always had a smile on his face. Always seemed sure and confident of himself. This is a perfect representation of " You don't know what happens behind closed doors". I think this was a learned habit from childhood too. Maybe after his father abused him or/and his mother he would threaten to kill them if they told or even showed any signs of abuse.
His owner definitely has that power. If she has the power to give him power then she has the power to erase Alastor from existence. I think she threatened his afterlife multiple times.
Anyway eventually Vox and Alastor have a big fight which pissed the owner off. And she took him away for seven years. Personally I am among those that think she TORTURED him during that time.
I think she let him out and told him to watch the princess and make sure no one gets redeemed. She sews a smile on his face so everyone thinks he is happy and fine. Again reference to what I said earlier.
Alastor goes back home and everything has changed. Probably a culture shock to him. He goes to the hotel and had to pretend everything is ok. Maybe he was all touchy feely with everyone cause he wants to feel safe and secure. Like he is finally home and not hallucinating. When he is pushed away he acts like it doesn't matter but I think it does. I think it hurts him deeply but because of the abuse he endured in childhood and his afterlife he puts up a front as a defense mechanism.
As Alastor told Charlie
" Just because you see a Smile, don't think you know what's going on underneath. A smile is a valuable tool my dear. It inspires your friends, Keeps your enemies Guessing and says no matter what comes your way, Your the one in control".
In a roundabout way he was basically calling for help without saying he needs help. Remember he can't tell her or anyone about what he went through. Of course In a way it means he is still a prisoner. His owner can take him away at any time and this definitely scares him. So he will do anything he can to prevent this from happening. Even making a deal with the princess of hell.
Anyway So while after the battle I think he felt Forgotten, I think he already felt that way. Like he doesn't matter and he wants to matter. His owner and father probably told him that he is worth nothing and no one will miss him while he is gone.
Well he was gone twice and NO ONE missed him.
That's very sad when you think about it and I'm surprised no one had brought it up yet.
Once again I apologize for my rambling thank you for reading

067 (0+6+7 = 13 -> death)
has a very transformative experience while playing the games especially when playing marbles. unfortunate for her, she has an unforgettable death moment where she's dying from her internal wounds only for 218 to "unexpectedly" kill her before she could succumb to the wound. like the mourners in the card, 456 is so devastated by her death that it changes his outlook on the final game.
218 (2+1+8 = 11 -> justice)
is the first person to mention the voting process to leave the game on the show. also kindly let ali borrow money and his phone... despite the final rounds, he began the games with a level of fairness kept in mind.
101 (1+0+1 = 2 -> high priestess)
perfect definition of reversed high priestess energy, he shows time and time again that his is disconnected from his own intuition - he doesn't know who to trust outside or even inside the games. he also relies too heavily on others when it comes down to it...
456 (4+5+6 = 15 -> devil)
gi-hun is like the terminator he just keeps coming back for more - but seriously homeslice literally comes back to the worst place he has ever been and where he has faced his own addiction with games... also he tends to make the same mistakes over and over like trusting people he thinks he knows...
333 (3+3+3 = 9 -> hermit)
myung-gi is a cryptocurrency influencer... its virgo male coded... but also i would like to predict him dying in darkness or being alone in some fashion during the final season's games. if not that then, i believe 222 is going to leave him in the dust.
388 (3+8+8 = 19 -> sun)
tell me dae-ho doesn't have hella youngful energy? also of naivety??? the sun is explorer so either he is a VIP or he could escape (by mere luck)... OR, which i think is most likely, he will end up being somewhere he shouldn't be and be killed for it.
246 (2+4+6 = 12 -> hanged man)
martyr coded... we just knew he was gonna die... and it's a horribly sad story because his sick daughter is all alone now...
120 (1+2+0 = 3 -> empress)
GET IT GET IT GET IT!!! i am sorry WHAT that is so on the nose. a trans woman as the empress is crazy spot on. i love it!! i saw that and was like *GASP*!!! also *gasp* because its park sung-hoon
007 (0+0+7 = 7 -> chariot)
oof more reversal energy... that man hesitated so hard when it came to getting his mother in my opinion and he hesitated when voting too... not to mention the lack of impulse control that he has...
149 (1+4+9 = 14 -> temperance)
i have seen a lot of people saying that she is a VIP and i disagree especially if this matrix numerology is still spot in s3. she is definitely a "friend" and not a foe.
390 (3+9+0 = 12 -> hanged man)
another martyr coded person. he was set up so the audience would love him and feel like he was a good person only for him to get swept away by someone who he just knew too much about.
222 (2+2+2 = 6 -> lovers)
bro please hear me out... front man's wife died carrying their baby - what if his empathy and projection of his history on to her is what ends up saving her life?? he did make a few comments (no i don't think he just has human decency lol) about taking it easy and to be careful because she is pregnant...
044 (0+4+4 = 8 -> strength)
when i was watching the show i was like i don't see it - i get moon (18) energy vibes but not strength (8) then she had her mini meltdown and i was like there it is... there is the vulnerability under that mask of "faith" in fate.
125 (1+2+5 = 8 -> strength)
then on the other hand... this is an extremely vulnerable character with zero back bone seriously reversed energy...
230 (2+3+0 = 5 -> heirophant)
thanos - tell me that man's ritual was not popping a pill and getting out there in the game.
001 (0+0+1 = 1 -> magician)
OBVIOUSLY no one can trust anyone what equals 1. its a duh moment (even in the 8 show - which i may do next if this does well) - the magician is a creator when upright and a manipulator when reversed...

Aizawa Shouta & Shinsou Hitoshi Father-Son Dynamic Big Recomendation Fic List for starters and not
Hi everyone! After quite a long time, I finally post my Recommendation Fic List (the crowning glory of my stay in the MHA fandom) of Aizawa and Shinsou Father-Son Dynamic.
I always start reading fanfiction before I even finished read the original, what does that says about me?
I became familiar with a fairly common theory that Shinsou Hitoshi is an orphan with a rather dread past, which, of course, activated a huge curiosity in me. I tried to analyze the trend, and I will say that it's quite clear: People were infected with the idea, where abused Hitoshi was somehow saved by Aizawa. And so was I. I've read for almost hundread of any combinations of this trend and NOW I finally ready to present my Fic List.
Attention. I will attach UNFINISHED fanfics, but which actively (or not so) updated, because they are masterpieces.
WARNING! I do not attach stories which contain:
ships (except Erasermic and 2-3 ShinKami but they are not MAIN)
alpha/beta/omega thing
too fluffy and too family-oriented fics (there will be ones, but I don't want to make them a centre of my list
I cut Rec List on different genre sections (read: dynamics) and add fanfics from the most angst ones to fluffy ones so you can easily pick what you like most ;)
So, let's start!
fandomofhappiness's personal top
You Want It Darker by Ms_Chunks Genres: Shinsou Has Family, Gore and Murder, Detective, Mentor and Parental Aizawa Status: FINISHED (533,808 words) foh's comment: Highly interesting! Shinsou here is not represented as perfect kid or downtrodden teenager, he is the way I liked him in anime and manga: he bites, hisses, snaps, makes sarcastic jokes and does not allow anyone hurt him. Aizawa and Shinsou very slowly gain trust from each other, but that makes their relationship seem sincere, and not caricatured. Read for the detective, the non-orthodox view of the Hitoshi family and Erasermic. READ THE TAGS and be aware!
Fundamental Theorem of Heroics by NightowlRobin Genres: Foster Kid Shinsou, Vigilante Shinsou, Heavy Angst, Parental Aizawa Status: UNFINISHED but updates weekly (more 700k words) foh's comment: Truly FUNDAMENTAL work of all Shinsou Hitoshi stories on ao3. I'd so like to confess my true respect and love to the NightowlRobin for their most mind-blowing plot and detailising. (You will probably meet Aizawa only after 10 chapters. And it will take even longer until Hitoshi and him properly meet.) This is an epochal work that will make you believe in Hitoshi's true character and make you cry of his story because it's really brutal. I think this is the favourite work of everyone who liked Shinsou with all their hearts.
To Turn A Man Into A Stone by tanli Genres: Foster Kid Shinsou, Angst, Mentor Aizawa Status: FINISHED (15,128 words) foh's: comment: Even months after I read this work, I look back on it and think: the author did an 11/10 job. Just so you understand: this is the best example of how I see the relationship between Aizawa and Shinsou. It is the apotheosis of sincerity and affection. It is a test of will, deep introspection and acceptance. It performed so well that it seemed to me that the author wrote a chapter for the manga. Damn, the author did a lot better than the mangaka. If the previous two works were not so high-quality and grandiose, I would've put this one at the very top of my list.
If Lies Had A Flavor by scooter3scooter Genres: Foster Kid Shinsou, Erasermic Adopt Shinsou, Heavy Angst and Hurt/Comfort, Eating Disorders Status: FINISHED (10,003 words) foh's comment: Perhaps one of the many angst works written by scooter3scooter, which I have reread more than once or even twice. This work is special to me, because I have never seen such an interesting look at the consequences of Shinsou's stay in an orphanage. Complex and emotional work. It is truly an honour to get acquainted with such a vast problem of humanity as eating disorder through this fanfic.
crybaby by Brachydios Genres: Foster Kid Shinsou, Erasermic Help Shinsou, Heavy Angst & Eventual Comfort, Canon Divergence Status: FINISHED (51,219 words) foh's comment: I've read this work more times than I can remember. Brachydios came into my life with this incredible work and tore me apart from the inside. I believe in every detail they describe, every character move is justified. I want to sympathize with Shinsou over and over again. One of the best Quirk-Shenanigans trope that has brought 1017 people to tears - be the next one. The performance is 100 of 10.
How It Goes by Ibelieveinahappilyeverafter Genres: Foster Kid Shinsou, Erasermic Adopt Shinsou, Heavy Angst & Eventual Comfort Status: FINISHED (20,021 words) foh's comment: This is one of the best written Foster Kid Shinsou stories ever. Hitoshi's adaptation, his thoughts and feelings, his panic, his fear of going back to the orphanage are described in a deep sincere way here. It's a heartbreaking story about the fear of punishment, taking consenquences and family. It was very personal for me and I hope you get a lot emotions after reading it.
Faith by slightlycrunchy Genres: Mentor and Parental Aizawa, Anxious Shinsou, Hurt/Comfort, School Situation Status: FINISHED (2,651 words) foh's comment: This work is also quite personal choice of mine. I wouldn't say it's grandiose, but it's very emotional for me. For the kid who worries about grades all their life, who is afraid to make a mistake, who is afraid to lose everything because of one mistake and who doesn't know how to accept their failures. I ask you to read this if my words resonate in your soul. This is the truth that we all need to hear.
Absolute Tops
Point Blank by Cobbiest foh's rec: an interesting, intriguing and beautifully written Shinsou's journey to become a part of Erasermic Family (and hero)
Deathworlders to the extreme! by AquaStarDark foh's rec: that's the funniest, most captivating and rocking people-are-space-orcs thing that I've read, really worths reading
I Would Understand by deafmic foh's rec: that is the first things first to read if you're new here, but tnh I wasn't ready for this work and dropped it once or twice before I finally made it and read it, it's really really good, but I wouldn't recommended as first-to-read.
Back to the Nest by Mags_Pie foh's rec: such a sweet thing about children and their parents. I was smiling so much.
Everything is different (since you've been around) by Plasmapause foh's rec: and THIS is how I see the best written relationship between Shinsou & Aizawa AND Shinsou & Yamada, they're building trust and becoming family very slowly BUT you really believe in these life situations that happen to Hitoshi, it is very sincere and touchy work.
It's not always easy. by ethgri foh's rec: and THIS is the HEAVIEST work I've read and really recommend it. The emotions are real and naked, I practically felt the same pain. Please be ready for heart journey, this is a brutal masterpiece.
Herding Cats by Robbirdthe8th (FictionalFeather) foh's rec: the COOLEST detective wotk, have nothing to say - just read it.
Margay by Oceanbreeze7 foh's rec: one of best ever written Shinsou.
QueNouilleCroustillante (the author of AUs that you won't forget: you may know theirs Bright Stars, but I beg you to read all of their works)
deafmic (you guys do know deafmic, that's deafmic's section for Aizawa and Shinsou, it's all too fucking good)

Family Dynamics
So this section I prefer to divide in two subsections:
fanfics where Shinsou is heavely traumatised and learns how to handle it with Eraser(-mic) help (Section A)
fanfics where Shinsou traumatises world around him and still learns how to handle it (Section B)
P.S.: section B comes first, because I love how authors perform Shinsou. They captured his audacity, intelligence and rebelliousness, he's learning from his traumas but does it shitty, and that is really interesting.
Family Dynamics Section B:
When the Darkness Fades by BlueCats
Growing Up (is harder than it looks) by BlueCats
Concerning (Some-)Things by Tododorkey (ApolloBlackwood)
The Beginning of Always by meow_z_z_z

You've Got A Heart As Loud As Lions by Robbirdthe8th (FictionalFeather) (warning! this work contains sexual abuse. I felt it was a difficult decision to include this here, as it is an incredibly complex topic and also incredibly important. This work is written with such respect and love, with such sensitivity, I cannot even begin to express it in words. Please, if this topic is disturbing and triggering to you, please be careful to read it.)
This concludes my top list. I finished reading about two months ago and plan to return soon and see what new and good is being written along this Father-Son trope. If you have any other cool works that are not presented here and you want to share them, send them into comments. I would be very glad! Thank you for attention!

I love your stories dude! Do you think that you could turn me into a huge Viking warrior?
For a Thousand Bucks
I am preferring you to Jack, the owner of the garage sale. Hope you like it.
You approached the garage, and there he was, Jack, a man who looked like he could have been chiseled out of a block of granite. His biceps bulged under the sleeves of his t-shirt, which bore the logo of a local gym.
"What can I get for you today?" Jack boomed, his deep voice echoing through the clutter of the garage.
You looked around at the piles of old baseball cards, dusty electronics, and faded furniture. "Well, Jack," you began, feeling slightly ridiculous, "I'm a huge fan of Vikings. I know it's a long shot, but is there anything here that could, you know, take me back to their time and turn me into a warrior?"
Jack's eyes lit up with a glint of mischief. He reached behind a stack of comic books and pulled out a gleaming sword. "Ah," he said, "I think I've got just the thing."
The sword looked ancient, with intricate runes etched along its blade. It had a wooden handle wrapped in leather that looked worn from centuries of use. You couldn't believe your luck. "How much do you want for it?" you asked, your voice trembling with excitement.
Jack's smile grew wider, revealing a set of perfectly white teeth. "It's a rare piece, my friend. For you, and only because I can see the passion in your eyes, I'll let it go for a thousand dollars."
The price didn't shock you. In fact, you had been saving for a bike that cost twice that amount. The allure of the sword, however, was something money couldn't buy. It was the gateway to your dreams. You reached into your pocket, pulled out the crisp bills, and handed them over to Jack without a second thought. "It's all yours," he said, his voice filled with a strange excitement. "Remember, you just need to wield it."
The moment the cash exchanged hands, a strange feeling washed over you. It was as if the very air grew thick with anticipation. You nodded, a smile playing at the corners of your lips as you took the sword in your hands. It felt surprisingly light, the balance perfect. As you turned to leave, Jack called out, "Good luck, young warrior!" His words lingered in your ears as you walked away, feeling the weight of destiny in your grip.
Once you were back in your apartment, you couldn't help but feel a little let down. You had just bought a sword that was supposed to transport you to the Viking era and turn you into a warrior, but all you had to show for it was a very expensive decoration. With a sigh, you decided to at least play the part. You took a swing, the blade slicing through the air with a satisfying whoosh.
As you continued to swing the sword, the room grew dimmer around the edges. The modern furniture and appliances grew hazy, and you felt your legs wobble beneath you. Your eyes grew heavy, and with a final, hopeful grunt, you collapsed to the floor.
When you woke, you weren't in your apartment anymore. The concrete had turned to packed earth, and the walls had been replaced with wooden planks, chinked with a mixture of mud and straw to keep out the cold. The light was different too – softer, with a gentle warmth that suggested it came from a nearby fire rather than a light bulb. You sat up, bewildered, and looked down at your new attire. The tunic and robe felt rough against your skin, and the leather shoes on your feet were surprisingly comfortable.
You stepped outside into the bustling Viking village, and all eyes turned to you. The children giggled at your skinny frame, and the burly warriors cast you dubious glances. You felt the weight of your own disappointment pressing down on your shoulders. This wasn't the epic transformation you had dreamed of. You had wanted to be a mighty hero, not a weakling that could barely lift a shield.
But as you wandered the dirt paths, you overheard whispers of a legendary sword, one said to grant the strength of a thousand men to its wielder. Your heart raced. Could this be the answer to your prayers? You approached the village elder, a wise-looking man with a long white beard, and asked him about the sword. He leaned in close and spoke in hushed tones of the blade's resting place atop a nearby hill, buried in a stone pedestal. The villagers believed it to be a myth, a story to tell around the fire, but you knew better.
You set off on a quest to find the hill, your heart pounding with excitement. The journey was long and arduous, but with the thought of becoming the warrior you had always dreamed of, you pushed on. When you finally reached the hill, you saw the pedestal, a simple stone structure with a sword sticking out of it. You could feel the energy emanating from the weapon, calling out to you.
You approached with caution, unsure if it was a trap or a test of some sort. As you touched the handle, you felt a strange warmth spread through your body. The sword was heavy, much heavier than you had anticipated. You wrapped your skinny fingers around it and took a deep breath. The muscles in your arms quivered as you tried to pull it out. The sword didn't budge.
You took a step back, gritted your teeth, and tried again. This time, with a grunt that sounded more like a squeak, you managed to lift the sword an inch. The villagers had stopped their activities and were now watching you with a mix of amusement and curiosity. You ignored them, focusing all your energy on the task at hand. With a mighty heave, you managed to pull the blade halfway out. The effort made you stumble, but you regained your balance, your eyes never leaving the gleaming weapon.
Finally, with a roar that seemed to come from the depths of your soul, you yanked the sword free. The sound of metal scraping stone echoed through the quiet afternoon, followed by a sudden clap of thunder that seemed to come from the very sky itself. The crowd gasped as a bolt of lightning struck the sword, sending a shockwave through the ground and knocking you to your knees. The energy surged through the blade and into your body, setting your very being alight with a fiery power that was unlike anything you had ever felt.
Your body began to change before your eyes. Your chest swelled outwards, each muscle popping out like the cobblestones of the village streets. Your stomach tightened into a series of ridges, forming a six-pack that looked as if it had been carved by the gods themselves. Your shoulders grew broader, your biceps bulging to the point where they looked like they could crush rocks with a mere flex. The horseshoe shape of your triceps grew more pronounced, and your forearms thickened like the trunks of ancient oaks.
Your legs ballooned with power, the muscles stretching until they looked like they could snap a man in two with a single kick. Your calves grew round and powerful, each one a testament to the might of a true Viking warrior. Your neck thickened, and your jawline took on a new sharpness, giving you the fierce countenance of a chieftain. Your face grew more angular, your cheekbones becoming more prominent, your eyes now set in a face that was both handsome and terrifying.
The armor that materialized around your body was not just any armor. It was the armor of a Viking chieftain – ornate and gleaming, with intricate engravings that spoke of battles won and enemies vanquished. The metal felt like a second skin, molding perfectly to your new form. The helm that appeared on your head was adorned with the horns of a ram, giving you a commanding presence that was impossible to ignore.
You felt the weight of the armor and the power of the sword in your hand, and you knew that you were no longer the skinny college kid from the future. You were a Viking, born anew in the past. Your eyes searched the horizon, hungry for the battles you knew were to come. The villagers watched you in amazement as your transformation was complete, their whispers of doubt now replaced by gasps of awe.

I might get life for this.
I had a very stressful week, and I have been reading some amazing fics and playing the sims to de-stress. Which is the prelude to my confession that I am having the absolute best, most scandalous time, playing a rags to riches style sims game, loosely inspired by one of my favorite fics, "Lust for Life" by oopsiedaisybaby
I truly am a horny degenerate. But that's not how this started. Lol I was just surfing the internet, minding my own business. Feeling good about meeting my writing goal for the week. Ready for some innocent sandbox fun making my favorite characters play happy families.
Imagine my horror when I saw that there was a new mod update for wicked whims, which brings a new career to the game for your sims.
You see it right? How something so scandalous like that could trip a person up. I tripped and fell right into a new save game. I nearly broke my fingers, but luckily I caught them on the keyboard and they smashed out the plot to a new story line.
Curses! I read it back, once, twice, a tear falling down my cheek. It was good. Picture poor omega!Steve who's daddy cuts him off after he swears he's gonna be an independent omega who don't need no stinking alpha. To their horror he moves to California and becomes a Camboy in order to support himself. Steve may not actually want to be a collared omega but boy can he play one! But oh no, the only person who will rent him a room he can afford and doesn't have problem with his job is a super hot alpha named Billy. Billy who actually supports him and doesn't get weird or push Steve's boundaries when he needs help holding a camera, and eventually starts filming with him. Billy starts playing his alpha for the camera and it really takes off. People start asking/assuming they are a couple in real life and nobody believes that Steve truly wants to be or can be independent. Will Steve be able to manage a demanding career and the temptation of the perfect partner? Could the feelings Billy plays on camera be real, and what happens when Steve starts collabing with other creators and Billy starts to get jealous?
'I wonder if there is visitation in horny jail?' I wondered to myself, as I fired up my PC.
Lol, jokes aside. I am having a crazy amount of fun. And the way my screenshots folder just called me out! This exact same time last year I was playing through a BDSM Gator X Billy storyline in my sims game. The year before that it was a sub Billy play-through, and both of these eventually led to me writing fic. Lmao there must be something about winter for me.
#harringrove#harringrove sims#personal#fizzi plays the sims#also recs a fic because it is SO GOOD#this was the safest screenshot#not trying to get flagged out here lol

howl's moving castle book but it gets faster every time sophie gets jealous over the black knob and the black suit
bonus brutal sophie:
oh my god and sophie doesn't even know she's affiliated with the Witch . miss angorian's just a random woman to her 😭
#howl's moving castle#hmc book#look this is a wall of text but its so amusing to read through as sophie gets more and more impatient with this nonsense#howl is kind of a dick for not telling her about the fire demon..there are other things to rely on other than jealousy howl.#anyway i love jealousy and refusal to accept it. sophie i love you#truly the perfect example of being in love with someone insufferable and hating every second of it#well only because she makes herself believe so. in retrospect she does enjoy her stay at the castle as she thinks later to herself :'))#ouh when she finally accepts her feelings and is willing to go to the witch herself to save angorian because she thinks howl loves her ToT#hmc#howl pendragon#sophie hatter#howell jenkins#sheb rereads hmc

OKAY! Chatot rant in tags below! Read at your own discretion.
#okay starting from the beginning of where ppl usually dislike him. apple woods chapter.#he doesn’t give hero/partner the CHANCE to explain themselves despite them being relatively good recruits up until that point.#and that legit might be my only gripe with that chapter bc!!! stories need conflict! I LIKE the conflict in apple woods!!!#hero and partner being punished so something they didn’t do!#the misunderstanding! how team skull (Skuntank) actually outplays the main duo with a clever yet rotten trick. I LOVE that it segways into-#one of the more sweeter scenes of guild members looking out for eachother. I LIKE APPLE WOODS CONFLICT.#but chatot just. not giving them a chance. is so dumb.#I’d personally fix this by having a lil montage of hero/partner fucking up on jobs. A LOT. and chatot giving them a pass every time.#and let the perfect apple incident BE the one where he puts his foot down and doesn’t listen to them. bc he’d given them loads of chances.#and doesn’t want to hear any excuse.#but yeah. I legit dont mind him during that chapter except for that really stupid and frustrating moment.#NOW. CHAPTER 17.#UGGGGHHH WHERE DO I BEGIN#Him not believing hero and Partner about Grovyle and the future being in ruin? FINE. ACTUALLY GOOD. BC CHATOT WOULD BE SKEPTIC.#IT FITS HIS CHARACTER!!#BUT WHAT DOES SUCK. IS HIM GOING ‘Dusknoir isn’t the bad guy. he didn’t do anything wrong’#WHEN HE LITERALLY KIDNAPPED HERO AND PARTNER RIGHT I N F R O N T OF HIM.#(NO LITERALLY. HIS CHARACTER IS IN THE FRONT ROW WHEN IT HAPPENED.)#and him. having the GALL to tell hero and partner they must’ve been ‘seeing things’ and downplaying the HELL they went through.#despite them being missing for hours/days. his own guild recruits. and his angry sprite showing up.#like. I think that’s when I genuinely despised him.#that and him going ‘OH I BELIEVED YOU THE WHOLE TIME HEEHOO :)’ shit was so fucking annoying.#just playing it off as a joke the second the guild started to believe hero and partner.#IMAGINE IF HE W A S ACTUALLY TESTING THE GUILD’S TRUST. SHOWCASING HIM AS THE MORE RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL RIGHT HAND OF THE GUILD.#and yes. Brine cave he saves hero and partner. but at that point I just didn’t care anymore.#he fucked those two over so much. that I didn’t care what ‘valiant’ sacrifice he had.#and he grills Team Skull for what they did OFF SCREEN. they couldn’t even give us THAT.#<<< THAT or him outright saying sorry would’ve been nice. IKIK his ‘actions’ or whatever but.#eughh again this is all imo. I’m not trying to make people hate him or change their mind.#I’ll get into positives in the second post cause I’m running out of tags

It’s the way that Buck’s view on Tommy was so so so similar to Buck’s initial view of Eddie. Man doesn’t know how to deal with his attraction so he runs in the opposite direction and “hates” them (but can’t stop talking about them) until things finally blow up (injured Eddie —> kiss Tommy) or don’t (you can have my back any day)
#like whatever you wanna believe this is just evidence that Buck was attracted to Eddie immediately in season 2#like ignore the family they’ve built since this is just like immediate attraction he didn’t know how to deal with#so he went all ahh I don’t like it why can’t I get him out of my head ah I must hate him agh why is he so perfect and competent#and now with Tommy it’s similar it’s like ooo this guy is interesting oh no he likes Eddie more?? AND he’s replacing me???#grrrr hes so good at flying helicopters and saving lives i hate it#*kiss* wow I was so wrong HES SO GOOD AT FLYING HELICOPTERS AND SAVING LIVES#also he as a cleft ☺️👀#911 fandom#evan buck buckley#eddie diaz#tommy kinard#911 abc#911 buddie#buddie#bucktommy#tevan#kinkley#911#911 show

Ashton Greymoore we need to work on your charisma because there's only so many times I can mentally yell "KISS HER GODDAMMIT" at the screen
#critical role#cr 3 spoilers#cr 3#bells hells#ashton greymoore#fearne calloway#ashton x fearne#fearne x ashton#callowmoore#this is probably the closest I've had to the 1% chance of my mental scenarios coming true#I mean Ashton did not hesitate to save her or trust her in the challenge even at the threat of her being a doppelganger#also that's the closest to 'I don't believe in fate but I believe in you' I can get#and they gave her their ring to protect her!#didn't know they could literally GIVE THEIR HP TO HEAL HER too that was awesome#and Imogen knows she KNOWS I mean Laudna and FCG also know but Imogen is the one being soft about it#and now they feel whole and they feel whole with her#and their powers amplify near one another just as I hoped!#and they didn't say they didn't want to kiss her just that it was a lot of pressure#but still mate you gotta kiss her the only time you did you blew up you could've done it at the lava or the clock tower too#this was another perfect moment to kiss her#mentally yelling because I'm in the office squirming before work time zones are a bitch and the office would stare#will take that as a late birthday present thank you Tal and Ashley#my week has been made#let me yell into the ether some more#because I've been repeating 'it can still be a good day' from every inconvenience today because I knew this'd have me in a chokehold#and it is a GOOD DAY#taliesin jaffe#ashley johnson#I get being flustered Ash the beauty and your reason for living is giving your believed-unlovable ass the come hither eyes#but that's when you cast aside that belief commit and hither! Hither Ashton! Let yourself be loved by those who love you!
