My guess is that the campaign finale is so long because we are going to check in on out friends in The Mighty Nein and Vox Machina.

This might make me unpopular, but I do not want Vax to be permanently returned.

The loss of Vax is the tragedy that takes the story of Vox Machina from good to great. This wasn't a sweeps week "ONE OF YOIR FAVORITES WILL DIE" gimmick from media that learned all the wrong lessons from Game of Thrones.

When you look at the story, it is clear that what happened to Vax had to happen and was almost meant to happen. You know how hard it is to be doomed by the narrative on an improvised show?

Vax is gone. Return him to his rest.

This is a group of people you don't know who have been kind enough to share their personal, deeply emotional DnD campaigns will an audience. If Matthew Mercer decides that its worth it to let his friends have a happily ever after including Vax - you're just gonna have to suck it up. If it bothers you so much that you have to write full-length essays on Tumblr, or, god forbid , harass the CAST, go make some friends and run your own campaign. Or write a fucking fanfic.

thinking right now about imogen being the vessel and what this means for imodna, particularly if it ends up being similar to how things happened with vax and keyleth.

maybe i’m just a sucker for a doomed by the narrative relationship but it’s set up in a way that has the potential to be SO wonderfully devastating and come full circle in a sense.

Laudna was never originally meant to be romanced, so having her and imogen essentially be a cursed ticking time bomb from the BEGINNING (almost the way things were with the threat of delilah)?? heartbreaking and it WILL destroy me. Also not to mention essentially putting her in the role of keyleth, who is also a marisha ray character, would be a parallel i’d love to see explored.

as for imogen, having the storms in her head and her mother’s voice warning her to run all counting down to her becoming the eventual vessel in the same way vax seeing things was indicative of him running out of time before being claimed permanently as the matron’s champion?? i am UNWELL.
