fate swap AU i came up with and is making me sob A LOT
(more under the cut!!)
a few weeks before the incident with stan and ford in actual canon (while fiddleford was still there) stanley was invited by ford to be another test subject for the portal test. he was at first reluctant because he had to be part of something he didn't understand whatsoever, but ended up driving to ford's lab anyhow so he could just see ford again. dummy was still wrapped to his wrist, and like fiddleford in gf canon, he was pulled in for a short moment, with ford yanking him out and fiddleford watching. after being told what he already knows (that he doesn't understand, he's not smart, etc.) by a manipulated twin brother he was yelled at to leave, but came across the memory gun and the blueprints in the process of exiting the lab. maybe a little peace of mind wouldn't be so bad. just a little peace of mind
stan would steal the memory gun, run away from the lab, and disappear. until he's found as an old, tired, unrecognizable amnesiac many years later
by this time, and though he never saw what stan saw in there, fiddleford knew the portal was dangerous. he travelled to hide ford's journals away from him when he wasn't watching until he was caught in the portal room taking the first journal to hide it. lots of shoving, arguing, lever flicking and yelling about ford's twin brother later, fiddleford broke and told ford "he was the one with a sickness". one last hefty push from ford had fidds slowly lift into the air and get sucked into the portal before ford's eyes. fidds would brew over his concern and anger towards ford in the 30 years it took to get back
ford has no friends no brother and no money. he had to succumb to turning his now cold empty lab into a tourist trap full of fake science to keep a roof over his head and the portal, still worried fidds was out there. bill grew tired, bored, mad over the years as it looked like to him ford was "throwing away" his life for a quick buck. there wasn't even fun in possessing him anymore, there was nothing in it for him. so bill would leave, settle with more deals, but let ford live to know that he had no worth to him or anyone anymore. ford can still see that demon in his nightmares, and visions of stan and fidds suffering manifested by him

ABOUT DEFEAT FALLS LORE
I will slowly explain the essence of my universe, because they often ask questions about what is the point!
The point is that Ford realized his capabilities due to the fact that he SAW what was hidden behind the portal. In this universe, he took fate into his own hands and outwitted Bill, defeating him in the realm of nightmares, slowly spreading his power. Due to the fact that Ford never called Stanley for help, Stan took up repairing the portal much later than in the original universe (gf series), besides Fiddleford remained healthy and joined Stanley in repairing the portal, but they repaired it thirty-three years later. Pines twins (Dipper and Mabel) had been visiting their uncle for three years in a row, but they also remained in the dark about their uncle’s twin brother until the incident with federal agents happened.
The conflict between Stanley and Stanford resolved itself, because Stanford had long ago let go of his childhood resentment for a spoiled project and was unspeakably glad to return home, for which he had big plans, dimensions would not capture themselves. Well, Bill, Bill does not want Ford to continue spreading the news about his shameful loss, and therefore he decides to stop Ford before it’s too late.

What would Steve do to Ford if Bill did die to the Quantum Destabilizer? Or in general?
He wouldn't get the time to do anything since, with Bill dead, the Weirdmageddon would stop, and he would get sucked through the rift with the rest of the henchmaniacs, back to the nightmare realm
And if he did have time to do something, he wouldn't be able to do much because he doesn't have any powers, he's still a regular Euclidean. The only reason he can fly on earth, it's because Bill shared that ability with him, like with the rest of the henchmaniacs.
He might trow rocks at him before he gets sucked back into the nightmare realm.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On the other hand, once in the nightmare realm he might try to take revenge in the only way he can, by giving the Pines family nightmares from there.
Now, we saw on canon that Dipper and Mabel were able to easily defeat Bill when they realized they could create anything in a dream just like him, to fight him. And they would defeat Steve over and over, but over time Steve would get better, leaving them tired every morning
Eventually, exhausted, one of they will fall for the only trick that Steve knows that's actually his, hypnosis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bill always told him that his hypnosis was a party trick that almost never worked, but in this scenario, it finally did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Having possessed one of them, he won't use them for any elaborate plan, he won't try to destroy gravity falls or anything of the sort. In a true "cryptid from the forest" fashion, He'll just make them disappear.
Tumblr media
I don't know what he would do, but they won't find that family member ever again, and they will never have nightmares again that could give them a chance to ask him what he did, steve will dissapear, but they will never stop looking for their family member, and they'll never find them, restless forever.
This is of course a scenario where his plan works, there's a big chance Ford would find a way to protect the family against the nightmares, ruining his plan forever. Either way, if he get's revenge or not, Steve will always end the same, stuck in the nightmare realm until it's eventual destruction.
Tumblr media
Edit: Something i forgot to add it's Bill and Steve are similar in their madness but oposite in their personalities and methods. While Bill would make a spectacle of his revenge and make sure everyone sees him enjoy their pain, Steve would carry out his revenge in silence and dissapear, his revenge leaves you empty because there's no big angry crazy guy to defeat. He takes something you love and vanishes, and you have to survive the emptiness.

Bill Cipher Vs. Self-Hatred
Tumblr media
Howdy y'all! Today I just wanted to go over some thoughts I had over everybody's favorite triangle that may or may not have occurred to some of you already. Naturally this will contain Book of Bill Spoilers.
To start off our little essay I thought it would be important to first sum up my thoughts on one of Bill's more complicated relationships: Stanford
Tumblr media
Now we've all seen his dynamic with Stanford plenty of times in the show but with recent information coming from both the Book of Bill and thisisnotawebsitedotcom.com more light has been shed on the subject from both Bill's perspective and Ford's.
There's more than meets the eye when it comes to dissecting Bill's interactions and thoughts on Stanford, with the ever enlightening "EVEN HIS LIES ARE LIES" making theorists scratch their heads. Within the Book of Bill are these codes and their meanings: hbh grfwru ri d gliihuhqw nlqg/ zkr zdqw wr pdnh klv sdwlhqw eolqg
eye doctor of a different kind/ who wants to make his patient blind
Qeb alzqlo pxvp/ qeobb pfmp x axv/ tfii jxhb qeb sfpflkp/ dl xtxv
The doctor says/ three sips a day/ will make the visions/ go away
Ixvvb hdwhu/ edeb eloob/ zrxogq'w gulqn/ xqohvv lwv vloob
Fussy eater/ baby billy/ wouldn't drink/ unless its silly
As well as:
Tumblr media
Finding out that both Stanford and Bill have a genetic mutation that made them Black Sheep suggests the possibility that Bill saw a kinship within Stanford. After all, he did make the offer for Stanford to join him. No doubt being able to sympathize with Stanford's situation yet misreading his motivations, causing the rift in their once savable relationship once Bill's lies were uncovered.
Now I'll admit it was others who came up with this theory in particular, especially when drawing comparisons of how Stanford was treated and how Bill allegedly was for having a strange eye. Stanford, in some form of other, might represent how Bill was before he saw the destruction of his world by his hands. A mere outcast looking for his place in the world. To be believed rather than ridiculed or "fixed".
Self-Hatred
And now we get to the Bill we all know today:
The chaos loving and nightmare inducing three-sided maniac, who may be hiding more insecurities than he ever let on in the show, thanks to the Theraprism.
Someone far more traumatized
Tumblr media
Who's had to convince himself to fully be the bastard he is today
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But if the theory that Bill had a type of kinship with Stanford thanks to their mutations was true, then wouldn't it be possible that his relationship with someone else might represent the inner struggle with himself?
For you see, the original title of this post was...
Bill Cipher Vs. Stanley Pines
As my own theory is that Stanley Pines is what Bill decided to project his self-hatred on. Nobody can doubt that the two have similar qualities, yet as I read the Book of Bill and thisisnotawebsitedotcom I couldn't help but notice the absolute malice that Bill has for Stanley whenever he's mentioned.
There have been many opponents before that have strived to take Bill down. Whether that was the Shaman, the Anti-Cipher Society, or Time Baby, none of his interactions with them have appeared as vitriol as compared to Stanley.
Tumblr media
Not even Stanford has this same reaction, who, by really no contest, was the closest to ever defeating Cipher by himself. Both with the gun that he near successfully killed Bill with and the secret of the barrier of Gravity Falls he refused to give up. Bill didn't even have a real interaction with Stanley until the last episode.
Yet it isn't Stanford that causes Bill to break while he's in the Theraprism. It's Stanley.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"-A resume-inflating, cheap trick loving, past-denying overgrown child protected from failure only by a force field of DENIAL AND shamelessness!"
"Self-pitying"
"Stupid"
"Smug"
"Hack Jokes"
"UNWORTHY"
Now it could be just me, but those are a lot of specific insults to fling somebody's way that you've barely interacted with. Especially if Bill credits the Twin Swap to Stanford entirely as opposed to allowing Stanley the credit.
"STEP RIGHT UP, it's time to play my FAVORITE GAME!! BOOTLEG SIXER over HERE spent a LIFETIME trying to hide his humiliations, BUT I'VE BEEN INSIDE HIS MIND, so NOW they’re ALL YOURS for the low low price of BEING MY NEW PAL! ITS SHOWTIME FOLKS, AND THE ONLY WAY TO LOSE IS TO BE NAMED STANLEY PINES!"
“SHAME:TM - IT'S THE ONE FRIEND WHO NEVER LEAVES!”
This out-of-character hatred doesn't come from the fact that Bill thought Stanley wasn't worthy, it comes from the fact that Bill sees himself in Stan. Who by all means is a lying and conniving screw up. Somebody who let his family down.
This could possibly be proven by the poem Bill had wrote about Stanley:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The whole poem suits my point but I decided to highlight the sections that caught my eye specifically. That when you put into consideration Bill's clear trauma and regret about the Euclidian Massacre, his own words can clearly be flipped back on him.
That he sees himself as a curse and a mistake. A self-made monster. Someone who's left the past behind when the loss of his home is still on his mind.
And what truly gets under Bill's skin about Stanley Pines?
"He got his life and family back.
His big break, it finally came,
Redemption from a life of shame"
Stanley got back what Bill can't.

Drifting Stars AU: Mabel gets sucked into the portal before Stanford could come out and the portal shuts down, leaving her in that dimension with Ford while Stan and Dipper have to find a way to turn that portal back on.
(New one that I just saw) Reverse Drifting Stars AU: Ford comes back but the portal doesn’t turn off and it’s Stan and Dipper that get sucked in instead (although from the comment I read, it was just Dipper that gets sucked in which is also heartbreaking).
Other Gravity Falls AU’s if you’re confused>
Reverse Falls AU: their personalities are reversed and instead of the happy silly Pines family that you know and love, they’re the manipulative arrogant Gleeful family that everyone hates. The Pines (read: The Gleefuls) are cold-hearted and (in most cases) has the Reversed-version of Bill wrapped around their finger. Reversed-Bill Cipher (named Will Cipher) is a whiny, sensitive, baby-like version of the dream demon.
Fight Falls AU: Everything is almost the same, except for the fact that Mabel and Dipper can fight well. They got into a lot of trouble at their school and was sent to Gravity Falls so that more trouble wouldn’t happen. Dipper and Mabel are great fighters and have a much more sensitive temper but Dipper is still a nerd and Mabel still has a fun imagination (Just more secretly) Bill Cipher (Named Kill Cipher) loves violence—which isn’t out of character—and is mostly there to not only torment the town but also encourage the twin’s violent nature.
Monster Falls AU: Everyone’s a creature! You can switch up what creatures these characters are but most of the fandom has agreed that Dipper is a deer centaur , Mabel is either a mermaid or a unicorn, Stanley is a gargoyle, Ford is a Greek-style Sphinx, Wendy is a werefox or a moth-person, Soos is a clay golem, Gideon is usually a vampire, Pacifica is either a gorgon or a unicorn, Robbie is a zombie, etc. Bill Cipher is a humanoid hunter with a triangle-shaped head.
Reunion Falls AU: this is Mabel and Dipper but they’re separated at birth. Dipper usually lives in the mystery shack and it’s Mabel that visits years later for the summer.
Relativity Falls AU: Everyone’s age and role is switched. Stanford and Stanley are now the young pine twins going to visit their great uncle Dipper and great aunt Mabel (or just Great Aunt Mabel if you decide to have Dipper lost in the portal) for the summer. (Personal favorite simply because I like the older Mabel and younger Stanley dynamic).
Nightmare Falls AU: In this one, Dipper and Mabel are raised by Bill Cipher in a dimension called the nightmare dimension, and are demons. Dipper is depicted as popular but mean, only cares about helping his twin and causing chaos. Mabel is depicted as shy, creative, and secretly more powerful than she lets on (although they are both supposed to be equally powerful but whatever). Bill Cipher, their adoptive parent, encourages their violent and chaotic tendencies. Not many people touch up on this AU. But many should.
Transcendence AU: This one is really popular. If you’ve been in the fandom for longer than a year, you might’ve heard of it. The story often changes but apparently in the original version, Bill dies due to the Transcendence. Before he passes, he leaves a small part of himself in Dipper who turns into a demon. Or half-demon. I think this is where the whole ‘Alcor the dreambender’ thing began (Even though Dipper’s Demon name would just be Ursa Major and he’d be a star demon).
Demonic Twins AU: This time, the twins switch with Bill Cipher. So now Bill Cipher is Bill Pines (maybe Will is there too) and Gideon summons two demons, Mabel and Dipper, who are evil but aren’t as chaotic as the original Bill.
Crystal Falls AU: literally just the Steven Universe mixed with Gravity Falls. They all have different gems and such. I can’t exactly explain it, considering the fact that I’ve never read this AU nor have I watched Steven Universe, but it’s as it sounds.
ANYWAYS THATS ALL FOR NOW, YOU CAN USE THIS POST IF YOU WANT TO TRY AND REMEMBER. LET ME KNOW IF I MISSED ANY AND ILL MAKE EDITS!

ur au inspired me alot so have this writings I made based off of ur evil cipher parents au...
Bill cipher was SUPPOSED to be a normal Euclidean. A normal triangle. Despite his color not being right and he was practically blind in his 2d world.
All he knew about his parents was that his mom was a lovely deep blue, and his father was a wonderous shade of red.
And he was okay with that.
Atleast he could stare at the stars as his mother's voice lulled him to sleep.
.. he swore he saw a group of stars moving… It looked weird, it was a line with a dip down at the back end, and what looked like a trapezoid(he believes that's what trapezoids look like, it was hard to see anyone else in the first place) on the front end.. it was unlike anything he'd ever seen before.
"Ma.. Some stars are moving…" Billy said, his voice a soft mumble.
"Billy, there's nothing there moving… I promise.." Billy's mom said, her voice silky smooth.
Billy hummed in reply, just watching the bundle of stars move in such an odd way.. then there was one that looked like one of the star shaped people he's somewhat seen, but it had a trail coming from the back. The two bundles paused, as if they were staring at him.
It was.. unnerving.
"Ma..?" Billy called quietly. There wasn't any reply. Mom must've left already.
Billy didn't want to bother her. So he just watched the two bundle of stars.. Until they got closer. They weren't stars.
They looks so weird.
He was scared- it was so scary- he suddenly wanted to be normal- to have an eye where it's supposed to be-
One of the giant things reached down and carefully scooped him up-- Billy gasped loudly as he was lifted up-- he could see so much MORE. He could see the two giant things he originally thought were stars.
They were.. 3D. He had thought no such things could exist!.
But if they were here, why did they pick him-- Was it because he could see them?
Billy whined softly, Glancing around nervously for some sort of escape. But there was none.
"Billy?" He heard his mom say, "Billyy? Where are you?"
Billy Desperately wanted to tell his mom he was still here- he just couldn't describe it.
"Mabel what do we do now-?" The first giant said, the one with the line and trapezoid thingy on the front on their forehead. The other had no markings, but he could tell that they were the star shaped bundle of stars.
"Just kill him- like.. like Grunkle Ford said.. to.." The star said.
The trapezoid with a line frowned, Shaking its head.
"I'm not gonna kill him, he's.. so small.."
"Then what?"
".. surely Grunkle Ford wouldn't mind if we take him home?"
Billy didn't understand what they were saying.
"BILLY??" Mom called out, much louder.
"I'm here, Ma." Billy replied. But mom didn't seem to hear him. So he tried saying it louder. "Here, Ma."
Still, nothing. Next thing he knew, he felt so odd, he didn't feel right.
He could move more. Everything wasn't hard to see, he could TURN.
..
"That was just a dream, Bill."
pls enjoy :3
Awwww thank you ❤️ Glad my comic inspired you to create this is so sweet 🥹
I love the atmosphere ✨ You can feel the unease 👀
Also MABEL?????? HOW ARE YOU SO BRUTAL? Don’t kill da baby D:
I know it’s a nightmare and it would be really fitting tbh (I think Bill would be paranoid/have anxiety about Pines now liking him) (if Pines have the memories present, there would be discomfort vibes between them)
But still
Mabel would never 😭 would she? 😭
Oh and 💥 this was Bill’s POV probably huh
Tumblr media
Also forgot to mention it in part 3 💥
A person wrote a great short fanfic about how “normal” Bill would meet his parents (with a happy ending :D)
They didn’t want to share it publicly, I respect the decision so not tagging them
But just wanted to say that I really appreciate your fan works fellas 💕
It’s a delight to read your fanfics, makes me happy to know that people like my silly comic so much that they were inspired to create 🥹

Its funny that the Book of Bill implies that the Henchmaniacs abandoned him, when really how exactly are they meant to do anything? For all they know they were having fun tormenting people, then they all suddenly got sucked back into the Nightmare Realm and Bill didn't come with them. They probably just think hes dead and even if they COULD look for him, unless the Theraprism is a widely known facility, how would they figure out hes there?
There's a lot of possibilities.
Maybe the Theraprism is VERY well-known and it hit the news that Bill Cipher had been committed. Why assume a maximum-security psychiatric hospital that takes in the worst tyrants in the multiverse should be secret or obscure?
Maybe Bill's allowed infrequent, supervised contact with the outside (emphasis being "infrequent" and "supervised," unlike what he did with TBOB), he tried to call them, and they went "oh yikes, bye."
Maybe, in the same way that Bill already had a method to contact the living from the afterlife planned out by creating TBOB, he also had an emergency method to contact the Henchmaniacs from the afterlife planned out, and they ghosted him.
Maybe they had TBOB in their hands. Ford said he was planning to toss the book into one of the mini interdimensional rifts; maybe he chucked it through into the Nightmare Realm, the Henchmaniacs picked it up, they went "ugh screw Bill" and tossed it out, and it fell through another rift to end up in the reader's hands.
Maybe the Axolotl told Bill he'd be telling the Oracle and that she'd probably tell the Henchmaniacs.
Maybe rather than the very simple "Bill agreed to the Axolotl's terms and the Ax took Bill to Theraprism" process we saw in the book, there was some kind of protracted trial to determine whether Bill should just be allowed to die or if his mental illness qualified him for the Theraprism; and some Henchmaniacs were called in as character witnesses to go "oh yeah that guy's fuckin nuts stick him in a straitjacket."
Maybe before he died he discussed his back-up plans to save himself in case he should ever die and he left them some kind of "okay in the event of my death try XYZ to bring me back" list, and either they never did it, or they tried to do it and it failed and Bill just doesn't know this.

Family Fragments Part 2
Stanford Pines x Child! Reader
Summary: Flashback to what happens the night of Ford's disappearance, and how you meet your Uncle Stan.
Trigger Warnings: Nightmares, Fear, Trauma, Violence, Loss, Family Conflict
Word Count: 2.7k
There was little Ford did these days besides pacing the floor, playing dolls with you, caring for you, and drinking coffee. In fact he had tricked himself into thinking that nothing was wrong and simply just allowed himself to be your father. Even in the pull to the basement was strong in his mind he tried to keep out of it for as long as possible.
When you had turned 5 years old he had thrown you a birthday party not inviting anyone from town. There was no adult that he trusted with you for fear of them being possessed and overpowering you. Other than Fiddleford of course, but he was off the table after his trip into the portal sent him spiraling.
Stanford had just gotten done icing the cake with strawberry frosting, you had requested an all pink cake with a gnome on top. He ended up taping a picture he drew of a gnome to a toothpick and sticking it into the cake after three failed attempts at using icing. He had hypothesized that it would be like drawing on paper, he was very wrong.
He went up to grab you from your room and saw you drawing on the floor, "Hey dad!"
His loud footsteps indicate his presence in your room. He walked close to you and looked over your shoulder onto the paper, only seeing yellow triangles covering the sheet. Ford’s blood ran cold. The yellow triangles stared back at him from the paper, like they were watching him. He swallowed hard, pocketing the drawing. He couldn’t let you see his fear. Not now.
"Are you ready for your birthday?" He asked, allowing his heart rate to come down as he led you down the stairs.
You were practically bubbling with excitement, "Yeah I can't WAIT!"
He covered your eyes with his six-fingered hands and led you to the kitchen, "Keep your eyes closed, Sweet-Pea."
You giggled as he ran around trying to find his matchbook, and while he was at it he threw your drawing onto the open flame of the fireplace, content as the edges curled and darkened distorting the yellow triangles until they were unrecognizable.
Quickly he lit the candles surrounding the gnome on the pink cake, "Open your eyes."
When you did there was a loud gasp, and your sneakers stomped on the floor as you jumped up and down. He placed his hands on your shoulder and began to sing Happy Birthday to you, and when he was done you blew your candles out allowing yourself to stare at the cake.
He plucked the candles from the top of the cake and got up to get the kitchen knife from the locked drawer, locked not just for your safety but as a precaution.
While cutting the cake he looked toward you twirling the drawing stuck to a toothpick between your fingers, "What did you wish for sweetie."
You looked up at him and smiled, "What would a good wish be?"
Ford's eyes softened, focusing on your eager face. He smiled gently, tucking a strand of your hair behind your ear. "You know, Sweet-Pea, a good wish is something that makes you feel happy and safe. Maybe it’s something you’d like to see happen in the future, something that brings a little bit of hope."
He paused, his heart aching with both worry and love as your brows furrowed in thought, "How about wishing for something like...more days filled with laughter?"
Your face lit up at the thought. You looked at the cake, deep in concentration for a moment, then turned back to him with a bright smile. "I wish that you'll always be my best friend, Dad."
Ford felt a lump form in his throat, and he pulled you into a tight hug, trying to hide the tears that brimmed in his eyes. "That's the best wish I could ever imagine," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion.
He wiped his eyes, careful not to alarm you with tears on your special day, he got up and grabbed a small gift wrapped in sparkly silver wrapping paper. Inside was a zippered pouch that opened up revealing many pencils, colored pencils, erasers, pens, and a pencil sharpener. Below that a journal almost identical to your father's except yours had a crescent moon on the front.
You had a knack for drawing and like your father a naturally inquisitive mind. Before this you had even written your own journal entries in your father's journal which were some of his favorites even though they weren't very scientific.
In an instant your arms were wrapped around your father's neck and he was ensnared in your tight hug, "Thank you, dad. I love it."
After a long night of movies, popcorn, and a few slices of cake you were falling asleep in the armchair in front of the TV. When he brought you upstairs, tucked you into bed, and sat himself in the chair in your room.
He didn't notice the sleep sneaking up on him until it was too late, and when he woke up he was standing on the roof of the cabin. Looking out into the woods of Gravity Falls, swaying slightly in the chilly night air. Ford’s heart stopped. He wasn’t on the ground anymore—he was on the roof. How? His breath came fast, hands shaking as he grabbed the gutter, forcing himself down, foot by foot.
As he was shimmying down the gutter he heard an ear piercing scream which caused him to fall the rest of the way down, and rush into the house. He tore up the stairs, each step echoing like thunder. Inside your room, the air was cold, stale. You were huddled in the far corner of your bed, knees tucked to your chest, trembling. Frantically he looked around, trying to spot what had made you so afraid. However when he looked to the ground he felt a familiar pit of terror fill his stomach.
Rats, unmoving, spelling out the words 'Happy Birthday'. He looked at you silently crying as far away from the offending offering as possible. He let out a deep sigh and went to grab the broom and dustpan, hoping to get the rats out of the room as fast as possible.
After he had placed them a little ways into the woods, he returned to your bed and sat down on the edge just looking at you as silent tears streamed down your face.
"Are you okay?" He asked not quite sure if he should be speaking, and despite knowing the answer.
You shook your head and rapidly swiped the tears from your cheeks. After a moment you pulled your arms into your sleeves and tucked your face under your collar.
Ford sat beside you, his hand hovering just above your shoulder before he placed it there, unsure but trying to comfort you. You collapsed into his side, your small frame shaking with sobs. It broke him, every tear you shed a reminder of his failure to protect you.
"What’s haunting you, Sweet-Pea? Please, talk to me,” Ford said, his voice cracking slightly, desperate to understand what his daughter was going through.
"I'm having nightmares," A cold chill ran down his spine and he held you a little bit closer, "Always the same, I wake up and you're gone. Except you're there just not right. Your eyes are yellow and you just stand there everywhere I go... just staring."
Before he could respond there was a loud knock from the front door. He looked over at you, and rubbed your arm, "Let me see who that is, don't come downstairs until I say it's safe okay?"
You peek your head out of your sweatshirt and nod at him. Your father had told you about making deals and shaking hands with people, or things you don't know. What you didn't tell him is that a yellow triangle forced you into these nightmares when you refused to let him into your mind.
The journal entry on a triangle entered your mind, but raised voices from downstairs drew your attention away from your thoughts.
"Ah! Hey! What is this?" Quietly you sneak down the stairs and peak into the messy room to the right of the staircase. You saw your dad frantically talking to someone dressed in a red sweatshirt and who seemed to have a mullet. You never knew your father to let anyone in let alone some random man from off the street.
"Oh!" Ford’s voice wavered as he caught sight of you peeking out from behind the wall. He turned to Stan, the weight of this introduction hanging heavy between them. "Stanley, this is my daughter… your niece, Y/N." Stan’s eyes widened, the words hitting him like a punch. A niece? His brother—a dad? It was like hearing that pigs could fly. For a moment, he didn’t know what to do. He scratched the back of his head awkwardly, offering you a grin that felt too stiff, like he was trying on a new suit that didn’t quite fit.
Quickly the man that your father called Stanley turned around and you saw your father's face staring back at you, "Sweet Pea, this is my twin brother, your uncle, Stanley."
You took a deep breath, steadying yourself before stepping out from behind the wall, the cluttered room feeling suddenly too small as your uncle’s gaze fell on you.
"Hey, uh, kiddo. I guess I'm your Uncle Stan," He stretched his arms out in a shrugging motion and you took it as an opportunity for a hug. Nearly toppling him over with the force. He let out a little 'oomph' and his arm was still open to the air.
His arms were stiff at first as you barreled into him. This tiny child- his niece- was holding onto him as if he were her lifeline. He wasn't used to this. Not since the good ol' days with his brother. His idea of family was always messy, complicated, but here you were, trusting him instantly, and felt a familiar tug in his heart he hadn't felt in so long. It took him a moment, but soon his arms enveloped you and gave you a little squeeze.
Once you let go and looked at your dad his eyes had softened and his mouth hung open a little bit. Maybe he was wrong to keep you tucked away in the woods away from the rest of the world. For the first time in a while he thought of his parents and his family.
He pushed that away from his mind, "I have something to show you... something you won't believe."
Your Uncle Stan looked from you to his little brother, and there was a brief moment of thought where he considered having a niece to be something he didn't believe, "Look I've been around the world, okay? Whatever it is I'll understand."
You looked up to your father and shook your head, he definitely would not understand the machine in the basement. Taking your Uncle's hand you followed behind Ford to the basement, he even looked confused at the retinal scanner.
Your father had ushered you over to his work bench and sat you down with a pen and a piece of paper in front of you.
"Let me talk to your Uncle Stan alone for a moment. Could you draw a picture for me?" Ford's voice softened, but beneath the tenderness was an edge of unease. The warmth from the birthday evening lingered, yet the basement held a different weight. It was as if the shadows grew longer here, the air charged with something Ford couldn’t quite shake. He led Stan into the portal room, his mind a whirl of questions he wasn’t ready to answer.
You smiled and nodded your head, knowing that he was asking this of you to distract you from their conversation. However, you knew that your dad had not seen his brother in years and if you hadn't seen your dad in years, you would want a moment alone with him too. You sat and drew a picture of you, your father, and your uncle, occasionally looking up.
It wasn't until they crashed into the door fighting that you realized the fight that was happening. Quickly you got up after the big machine started glowing blue. With your father occupied you started moving your way toward the glowing circle.
You stood just feet from the looming machine, the hum of its power vibrating through your bones. For a moment, everything seemed to slow down, your heart pounding in your ears as you stared at the glowing portal. Then, without warning, your father shot forward, colliding with the lever. Time snapped back into place, chaos breaking loose all around you. Looking at the verbal onslaught you reach toward your dad but only manage to catch his coat as Stanley pushes him backwards toward the portal.
You and your father started to float, gravity slipping away beneath your feet. Panic seized your chest as the world shifted and twisted. Desperate to hold onto something—anything—you reached for him, fingers brushing his coat. 'Dad, don’t let go!' Your voice cracked with fear. His grip tightened for a heartbeat, but the force was too strong. You screamed again, fighting the pull, wishing with everything inside you that you could somehow stop what was happening. Stanford quickly pulled you tightly into his chest and held you tightly for a moment before shoving one of his journals into your arms.
“Y/N!” Ford’s voice cracked as he fought against the pull. “No matter what, remember that I love you! You’re everything to me… I’m so proud of you, Sweet-Pea. Don’t ever forget that!” His words echoed as he was pulled into the portal, the brightness swallowing him up. Once he was gone there was a flash of white light that sent you hurtling toward your uncle causing you both to crash to the ground in a heap.
You reached out, desperate to stop it, your small hands clutching at air as your father’s grip loosened, "Dad, don’t go!"
You rolled off of your uncle and sat on the ground as he got up and started banging on the metal structure.
You sat on the floor, knees drawn up to your chest, clutching the journal tightly. Your mind raced, replaying the scene over and over, desperately trying to understand how it had all gone so wrong. One moment, your dad was singing Happy Birthday to you, and now... now he was gone. Gone into that horrible, glowing machine. Every nightmare you'd had, every fear that kept you up at night, had just become real. And it was your fault. If only you'd been stronger, smarter—if only you’d done something different—he’d still be here.
"STANFORD! STANFORD, COME BACK! I DIDN'T MEAN IT!" He looked back and over to you. Tears forming in your eyes and your lower lip starting to quiver.
Stan pulled the lever again. Nothing. He pulled harder. Still nothing. Panic clawed at his chest as he slammed his fist into the console.
"STANFORD!" he shouted, but it was too late. The machine was dead. Your father was gone. And in the heavy silence that followed, you could feel it. Everything had changed.
Stan stood by the dead machine, hands shaking as he looked between the console and you, lost in the gravity of what had just happened. For a moment, he was frozen, unsure of what to do. He had never been good at this—at emotions, at comforting others—but seeing you there, small and fragile, clutching Ford's journal like it was a lifeline, something cracked inside him. He knelt down beside you, unsure of what to say, “Hey, kid...”
His voice was rough, but there was a softness beneath it, “I’m gonna bring him back, okay? I promise.”
You looked up at him, tears brimming in your eyes. His promise hung in the air, but you weren’t sure if he even believed it. But the way his voice wavered, the way he clenched his fists, made you think that maybe he needed to believe it as much as you did.

what do euclid and scalene think of stan and ford in your au? also your au is cool
That's a great question!
Short answer: Stan is their blatant favorite, and they're not really sure how to feel about their son's ex situationship but they're not overly fond of him.
Long answer:
At first, the two of them weren't quite sure of what to think of Stan. The twins were being sent to stay with him for the summer so their parents could scream at each other without having to worry about also feeding their children, but neither of them really knew too much about the man, aside from the fact that he'd been a brilliant researcher and lived in the middle of the woods.
Quickly, they discovered that, while he wasn't the most attentive guardian ever, he cared a great deal about the twins, and would show it in his own way, like keeping Mabel stocked up on yarn, or always making sure Dipper's cuts were cleaned. They decide that they like Stan, though Euclid does occasionally pull small, harmless pranks on him. It's been a while since he's gotten the chance to joke around, after all.
The portal incident almost makes them lose faith in him completely, they're terrified of something causing this dimension to burn, and they urge Mabel to shut the device down. The two of them worsen their injuries when they try and pull themselves into the third dimension when Mabel lets go of the button and floats towards the portal, but neither of them get fully out of the 2D plane by the time the portal fully activates. This leaves them very exposed and vulnerable to the figure that comes out of the portal.
Ford comes out of the portal angry and scared, having just gotten into a fight with a strangely panicked Bill. He's bleeding from a set of gouged claw wounds on his arm from where the demon tried to make him hold still, and he had to tear himself away when he saw the open portal. The sight that greets him is one that seems like a twisted nightmare brought to life, with his brother close to what looks like some strange, bootleg versions of Bill. Stan looks ecstatic to see him, but he's still kneeling near the... Things and oh God there are children down here-
Needless to say, Ford doesn't hesitate to raise his quantum destabilizer and bark at his twin to get himself and the children the hell away from the horrifying, half 2D/half 3D monsters that are lying on his basement floor.
To his dismay (but not surprise) Stan ignores him. Actually, he goes beyond ignoring him and actively puts himself in the line of fire. The children are quick to follow, with the young boy shoving the girl behind him as she asks Stan who he is.
A gopher man that Ford hadn't previously noticed faints when Stan tells them.
Apparently, those children are Ford's grand niece and nephew, and the primary colors from hell are their... Friends? Guardians? They certainly seem to be very protective of the children, because the second Ford approaches them, they bristle and make a sound that reminds Ford of tv static. Their resemblance to Bill is uncanny, and he wants to ask them about him, but he decides to hold off on it when the red one's remaining eye turns into a whirring mouth of teeth.
Euclid and Scalene do their best to keep the twins well away from Ford, fully agreeing with Stan that the man is dangerous. The conman is now firmly set in their good graces now that he saved their lives, and once their everything stops hurting and they learn that Ford plans to evict Stan at the end of the summer, they go out of their way to make things hard for Ford. Trying to use any technology? Nope, Euclid has decided that it will not be working today. Try to write in your journal? Scalene has taken the letters and arranged them into an image of a middle finger.
Unfortunately, Dipper still looks at Ford like he hung the stars and actively ignores the Cipher's warnings not to engage with him, Mabel still is trying to find a way to measure him so she can knit him a "Get Along" sweater, and Stan, despite his anger, still wants to reconnect with his brother.
Their favorite humans are obsessed with this scruffy owl man and it drives them nuts.

Thinking about the "trilion and 12 years old" joke about Bill and thinking about his psychological development after the Euclydia massacre
In the show, we see that while he can plan ahead and manipulate people, he's often foiled by his own impulsiveness/anger/emotions. His ultimate goal is to escape the Nightmare Realm/Dimension 0. And sure, he says this is because he promised the Henchmaniacs he'd help them, but ultimately as others have pointed out, Bill is terrified of death. He wants to live forever - have "a party that never ends with a host who never dies". All he cares about is himself, his own survival and hedonism
All this to say, Bill has the emotional development of a teen. He hasn't gotten past the self-centredness nor the reward/adrenaline seeking behaviour, but has emotionally evolved enough to be able to manipulate people and such (and be able to feel guilt, even if it's just a picogram). Though his immaturity shows when he doesn't get his way.
One might think that, being a trillion years old, he would've developed a bit, but here's the thing - major traumas can "freeze" people at certain developmental stages. We don't know how old Bill was when Euclydia was destroyed - though considering his behaviour I would bet he was a teen.
(Or whatever the equivalent of that stage is for his species. They have exoskeletons- do they have instars then? Whatever, that's not on the topic of this post)
Seeing his entire dimension destroyed after (what was probably) a well-intentioned attempt to show them what he saw ("They'll see. They'll all see.") permanently emotionally stunted him. However it was he got his powers, he was a teen/young adult with powerful abilities who had just erased an entire dimension from existence and was now accountable to no one but himself while also being deeply traumatized. His constant partying and implied substance use were probably the only coping mechanisms he could think of, dissociating because he has no idea how to actually confront what happened. The way he talks about the massacre - he detaches himself from it yet still admits guilt ("A monster."). Only post-divorce does he implicate himself in the event, though still obscuring its true nature ("I liberated them.").
Being surrounded by individuals who are similarly maladjusted for most of his trillion-year lifespan certainly didn't help things. The Henchmaniacs are likely somewhat stunted as well, or at the very least don't offer much in the way of mature/emotionally adult conversation, especially since Bill reacts so poorly (read: homocidally) to any sense of malcontent.
Which is to say, I think part of why Ford was important to Bill was because, compared to him, Ford was more emotionally developed (Ford is emotionally stunted in his own ways, but not as severely as Bill IMO). Subconsciously, their relationship was reaching a hand out to the scared teenager in the centre of Bill's psyche and offering him someone to lean on- someone who had their shit a little bit more figured out. A kind of figure Bill hadn't had since he killed his parents.
Of course, such vulnerability probably felt so alien that Bill tried to distance himself. I always wondered - why didn't Bill just lie to Ford about his plan to take over Dimension 49'\ ? Ford would've believed him, finished the portal, and Bill's plan would've been fulfilled. Well, I think it was Bill trying to burn the emotional bridge. In his own impulsivity, his own desire to dissociate instead of confront, he would rather make sure that he would never be able to be vulnerable to Ford than fulfill his grand plan.
...
I don't remember where I was going with this. There's no conclusion. I'm spinning this triangular multidimensional tyrant at physically impossible speeds in my mind and if I didn't write something about him my skull was going to turn into a fine powder. It's almost 2 AM, so it's entirely possible this post makes 0 sense, in which case feel free to inform me of that in the notes.

Grah!! New Gravity falls stuff got leaked and it wouldn't let me sleep until I Made this
"Cousin" Tim Pines (now paradoxical Son of Ford because I say so)
Tumblr media
After being born into a universe where Ford got accepted into His dream College and later Had a son, Tim soon takes after his fathers wish to study the supernatural. One day the 20 year old comes across travelers from another universe, quickly leaving through some Kind of Portal.
He follows them but right as he's about turn back, he sees his entire reality start to collapse infromt of him. So in a moments descision Tim also jumps into the portal, stranding him in the multiverse.
Tim spends 10 years in the multiverse, at one point starting to search for his father that he saw on wanted posters around the universes. He doesn't have much luck on his mission though, Sometimes being too late, some other times being too early and sometimes Just barely missing him. All until he finally witnesses what seems to be His father in some sort of battle in the nightmare realm. Although just before Tim manages to reach him, another portal opens up, pulling both of them inside.
Both Ford and Tim come out in a version of the OG Gravity falls universe. After some altercations between the two, Tim quickly realizes that this isn't actually his father but instead a version of his father from a Universe he never existed in.

“I saw someone comment how ford was forcing himself to hate stanely bc the moment he got burnt, ford immediately asked if he was okay as a reflex”
POOKIE (hiii POOKIE <<33) Sent me a comment on a tiktok video that had me sobbing at work and I’m not letting this character analysis get lost to the void because god dammit stan deserves so much better than the fucked up cards he was handed in life.
Ford definitely had to force himself to hate Stanley. Every time he started writing anything positive about him in journal 3 he’d immediately cross it out. I think that if he put any thought into it hat happened between them and his part of what he’d done it would have broke him. Because really what did he expect to happen to his brother after he got kicked out at 17? He knew it would be nothing good, but if he wasn’t angry he’d have to feel bad instead and that anger was a lot more palatable than the alternative.
Stan’s entire life has been nothing but living for and loving ford. As kids it was him who protected him from the other kids. It was Stan who was always so proud of him when their father couldn’t give a shit. It was Stan who after 10 years of being homeless. 10 years of being ignored. 10 years of his other half seemingly not caring where he was dead or alive. 10 years of horrors that “I had to chew my way out of the back of a car!” can only elude to. 10 years of either being chased out or chased down. But when he got that post card from Gravity Falls? He dropped everything and went straight there in the middle of winter. He had to travel several states to get there with what little money he might have had, gas alone must have been a nightmare. It was cold, his jacket was old asf, the Stanmobile couldn’t have been in the best of shape, and neither was Stanley himself. But he still came. And after all that he was just?? What? Threatened with a crossbow, immediately told to fuck off again, and then branded for fucks sake?
(Who else thinks about the fact that Stan probably never went to a hospital to get it treated so he had to deal with the infection on his own 😍🔫)
I’m surprised he didn’t have an even bigger crash out than he did in canon tbh.
And then when all was said and done, this highschool drop out spent the next 30 YEARS teaching himself quantum physics with a third the notes he needed, filled with ramblings of a paranoid lunatic, all to bring the only person who made his life worth something home.
Not just bring him home but making sure Ford had a home to come back too. Yeah he converted part of it to the shack but who does ford think was paying the electric bill? His mortgage? All of it was Stan. And what did he get in return? A fist to the face before later being told that at the end of the summer he’d be back on the streets. A 60 year old man, who’d lived in gravity falls, lived in the shack, for longer than he’d ever lived anywhere. Longer than Ford had even lived there. The first and only stable place he’d had since glass shard beach. He’d be back where he was all those years go, accept he wouldn’t have what he had the first time. Specifically, he wouldn’t have his youth, and he wouldn’t have his reason. The only thing that kept him going all those years was the thought of his brother and a blatant refusal to die. 60 year old stan has a hearing aid and cataracts, and is also legally dead. He wouldn’t have made it out there. Stan would have died.
Stan never got to have a life of his own. His life is and always has been his brother. Sure Ford didn’t get to go to the college he wanted, but he had a life and a pretty damn good one at that. He was never even guaranteed to get into that school in the first place.
As smart as Ford is, a perpetual motion machine is impossible. Physically and mathematically it can not happen. It was never going to happen. It would have never worked. Weather Stan was there that night or not, it would have stopped eventually.
Ford went to college, made a best friend, got 12 PHDs, got a large enough grant that he was able to move states again and build his own custom home from the ground up AND STILL ended up studying what he’d always dreamed too. And with bill he got to experience shit that he assumed no one else ever had before. His life really only god fucked up after bill showed his true colors.
Yeah, pushing ford into the portal was a fuck up. A MAJOR fuck up. But Ford acts like he’s not the reason fiddleford fell in, another person he had to lie to himself about and convince himself that they were the problem. He never even checked on fiddleford afterwards and Ford ruined his life. He took a father away from his wife and child, he made Tate grow up watching his father slip further and further into madness until he was unrecognizable. His mind was so fucked not even bill could handle being there. Or he acts like he doesn’t understand how easy the roles could have been reversed. How easy it would have been for Stan to fall through the portal instead of him. After going through the portal I don’t believe for a minute he didn’t run into at least one portal stan.
They both fucked up, but the difference is that Stan spent his entire life trying to atone for what he’d done, and Ford spent his entire life blaming Stan for everything that had gone wrong in his life, (which was practically nothing before he decided to make a deal with a demon because he thought he knew better than anyone who had ever met bill before) for a mistake he made when he was 17, like he everything Stan did for him before that point meant nothing. One fuck up was all it took for him to look at Stan the same way their father did.
I think allowed himself a minute to think even for a minute about the situation in its entirety he’d break. Being angry is easier than being hurt and afraid. It’s easier to deal with than guilt and regret. It’s so much easier than looking at yourself and having to question where you went wrong and acknowledging than you fucked up and hurt someone. But Stan spent his entire existence doing just that. Looking at himself and knowing that he fucked up and had no way of making it better. Feeling guilt and regret for a fuck up anyone could have made. Because he was a teenager and afraid of losing the only person he had, and he had t even meant to touch his project!! He hit the table and that was enough to make fords machine explode into nothing???? That always seemed strange to me. I genuinely believe that even if Stan hadn’t been there it would have broken anyways. Not that it makes it right what happened. Stan should have told Ford when it all went down. But Stan didn’t deserve what happened to him for the next 40 years after than.
These old men own my entire soul. All of it. I love their relationship so much despite how bittersweet and tragic it is but god I could talk about them for hours. I don’t know what I would have done if they didn’t get their happy ending.

x
Before you can leave the bedroom, Dean pulls you in again and kisses you. He knows exactly what to do to get you to stay, but you promised your friend you’d go shopping with her. You wrap your arms around his neck and allow yourself to get lost in the kiss for exactly five seconds before you pull away.
“I gotta go, Dean,” you giggle.
“Come on, stay. I’ll do that thing you like,” he smirks.
“No. It’s not fair to use sex to hold me here. I’ll only be gone a few hours at most. You’re so clingy,” you laugh and push him off you. “You’ll survive for a few hours. I promise.”
“Okay, fine, but you’re not leaving my bedroom when you get back.”
“Deal,” you chuckle. “If I’m not back by seven, you have my permission to come get me.”
You kiss Dean quickly before leaving the bedroom. Dean won’t let you take his precious car so you opt to take one of the other older ones in the bunker’s garage. They’re all vintage classics that Savy fell in love with when she first saw them. She’ll appreciate you taking the 1955 Ford Thunderbird. Savvy is only in town for a few days on business so you only have a few days to hang with her before she goes back home on the East Coast.
“How are you and Jerry doing?” you ask when you pick her up.
Normally, the drive to the mall is only twenty minutes if you take the main roads and the highway. The weather is nice so you opt to take the back roads which will add another thirty minutes to the ride. Neither of you mind.
“We’re trying for another baby, so that’s exciting.” She already has four kids so you’re surprised she wants to bring another one into the world. “What about you? Any kids for you and Dean?”
“Savy, we’ve only been dating for six months.”
“So? You’re not getting any younger.”
“I don’t want kids, and I don’t think Dean will have an issue with me not wanting kids.” Kids don’t fit into the hunting life. “Plus, we’re taking things at a nice pace. He just asked me to move into the Bunker last week.”
“That must be easier for hunting.”
“Yeah, it is.”
“Are you happy, Y/N?”
“Very. Are you happy?”
“I am,” she smiles.
“Good.”
You turn the music up and let the wind blow through your hair as you drive down the desolate road. You turn the corner and see a gray car parked on the side of the road about one hundred yards away. There is a man standing by the car with his hands on his head like he’s stressed about his car situation. You slow down and turn the music off when you approach the man.
“Car trouble?”
“Yeah. My tire is flat, my phone is dead, and I don’t know how to change a tire. I know what you’re thinking. A man doesn’t know how to change a tire? I was never a car man, and no one ever taught me,” he chuckles nervously.
“Do you have a spare?”
“Yeah, in the back.”
“I know how to change a tire. I can help you.”
“You’re a lifesaver. Thank you.”
You pull up in front of the car, and Savy looks at you with concern.
“Are you sure you should be doing this?”
“I’m just changing a tire. It’s fine. Ten minutes tops.” You get out of the car. “Stay here.”
“Thank you for stopping. I would have had to walk home,” the man chuckles. “I’m Peter.”
“Y/N. That’s Savy, and it’s no problem. I’d want someone to stop for me.”
You take the spare from the back and get started on taking the current tire off the car. You have just undone the lugnuts from the rim when your phone rings from your car.
“Dean is calling you.”
“Answer it. Tell him I’ll only be a minute.”
Savy grabs your phone and answers his call.
“Y/N’s phone. How may I help you?”
“Where is Y/N?”
“She’s busy right now. Can I take a message?”
“Just tell her to call me when she can,” Dean says and hangs up. Dean puts his phone down and looks at his brother who is looking at his iPad. “So, you thinking ghost possession?”
“Well, the witnesses claim to see black goo coming out of the victims’ ears before they killed themselves.”
“Yeah, ghost possession. We’ll leave in an hour. We’ll pick up Y/N on the way.” Forty-five minutes later, Dean enters the man cave to grab something when he sees you sitting on the couch staring at the TV that’s turned to the news. “I thought you’d be gone for a few hours. When did you get in?”
“A few minutes ago.”
“Oh, well, Sam found a case a few states away. He’s thinking ghost possession. You in?” You don’t answer and continue to look at the TV. “Are you okay?”
“Look what’s on the news.”
Dean walks closer to you and pays attention to the news reporter.
“While on a car chase, authorities discovered a 2003 gray Honda Civic abandoned on the side of the road. When authorities looked closer, there were signs of a struggle. We’re not clear as to what may have taken place, but they found two women’s purses on the ground. It is presumed that two women are missing, but their identities remain a mystery as of right now. Back to you, Sam.”
The news coverage changes to another news reporter who is already on the scene.
“Yes, Jill, what happened here is a tragedy. Local authorities are doing everything they can to locate the two women, hopefully alive.” Shouts from the officers can be heard, and Sam looks behind him to see what is going on. “This just in, I think they found a body.” Sam turns back to the camera. “I am unsure if they are able to identify the body. When we have more information, you’ll be the first to know. Back to you, Jill.”
“Wow, that’s so sad,” Dean says.
You look at Dean with unshed tears in your eyes.
“I’m at the bottom of Waconda Lake.”
“What?”
“Who are you talking to?” Sam asks when he pops his head in. Suddenly, you mist away, and realization dawns on Dean’s face. His knees buckle and he has to sit down before he crumbles to the ground. “Dude, you okay?”
“I think Y/N’s dead.”

Heres a fun one (or to me at least) how would stcmo!Ford react to other Fandom AU and other Fandom AU Stanleys?
Like for example Relativity (The Stan Twins and The Pine twins role get swapped with each other), Monster Fall, Peace of mind AU by @/stanngeddon (basically that where the mystery trio role got Reversed, Fidds get portaled, Ford runs the shack, and Stanley becomes McGuket in the canon), Never Human (where “Stanley” became an a cosmic horror after making a deal, guarding all the Ford in the multiverse) and Blind Fate
Again, not gonna go super in-depth since I don't know the author's boundaries when it comes to their AU. But I'll still answer as best I can because it's really fun to put Ford 419"3 in other AU's!
Tumblr media
Relativity Falls
Initially, Ford would be shocked by the role swap, but he wouldn't linger on the changes because he has a mission to accomplish. It wouldn't be until later that Ford actually wrote his first impression and thoughts on the dimension in one of his journals. All in all, Ford would just be considered an outlier among the vast majority of dimensions and not expend any more energy toward pondering it.
Monster Falls
The first time Ford came across this dimension, Ford accidentally shot Stan thinking he was a hostile anomaly. Stan had already been injured by a nasty fight with a Manticore, a jagged tear across his side from its horns and blood coating his mouth of sharp teeth. Ford's heart froze in his chest when he heard his brother's unmistakable voice layered with an angry roar as the shot hit the anomaly. Safe to say that the Stanford of that dimension wasn't pleased when he heard his brother cry out in pain and anger. Ford had to diffuse the situation before he had his throat ripped out by a very pissed off Stanford, frantically unclipping his helmet while dodging Stanford's attacks. As soon as his face was revealed, Stan called his brother off.
Peace of Mind @stanngeddon
Ford would be heartbroken when he saw what had become of Stan, furious with the Stanford of that dimension for allowing Stan to deteriorate so severely. Ford would do everything in his power to help Stan, but there's only so much Ford can do to heal such a damaged mind. I think the most that Ford could do -without uprooting Stan and bringing him back to his temporary headquarters for some brain scans- would be to make sure Stan was otherwise in good health and stock him up with some supplies. This would be a dimension that Ford would keep an eye on, occasionally popping in to fuss over Stan.
Never Human
In this case, Stanley would probably be the one saving Ford from meeting a premature death at the hands of some hostile creature in the multiverse between missions. Ford would be worried about Stanley making a deal, but it would be a bit of a relief that Stanley was harder to kill as a cosmic entity. Ford would absolutely ask to study Stanley, half curious and half concerned. Basically, Ford would look back on his interaction with a cosmic horror Stanley fondly.
Blind Faith (you said Fate but Blind Faith is what I think you meant)
Honestly, Ford would have nightmares after stumbling across the brothers in such a bad state. Stan would've just been freshly blinded by Stanford, the both of them inconsolable. Ford would address Stan's eyes first, using a salve to soothe the burns and fresh bandages. He'd also give Stan a dose of pain medication mixed with a mild sedative. Then Ford would shift his attention to Stanford, patching him up as well before checking his mental state. Ford would be unaffected by those watching them, protected by his helmet (the interior etched with sigils with unicorn hair embedded in the frame). Ford would end up bringing the brothers through a wormhole with him to get them out of that place, entirely unwilling to leave them there.
