I’m not caught up yet but it still blows my entire mind that at the very end of BNHA—the last panel (in BOTH “final” chapters)—Shouto is looking directly at Izuku like he’s hung the fucking moon. Like he’s Everything. Like he’s ready to follow him to the ends of the earth. I don’t care WHAT y’all have to say about Izuku’s feelings but you cannot look at this and tell me there’s not something going on there, even if it’s one-sided

This is just an /opinion/ and I'm just tryna find ppl that agree with me.

I do not think having kids could quote on quote "fix" Shen Jiu, biological or otherwise. 1) A kid should not bear the responsibility to be that emotionally invested in the shit mental health of their caregiver. Don't make any child go through that. And 2) Nothing about any child could make Shen Jiu be a decent caregiver out of his own volition (sure, he was nice to NYY and probably did care for her, but that's about how far it went ejrrjf tho I'll gladly eat up AUs where he does treat her like a daughter when he knows how to care for a kid properly).

Good luck trying to make Shen Jiu get his shit together unless you're actually changing things about his past. The easiest "fix" imo is to give Shen Jiu an ADULT, heavy emphasis on this, an ADULT that could invest in his mental/emotional wellbeing when Shen Jiu is still a kid or a teen. How else do you expect Shen Jiu to be a responsible adult around kids when he's never had a responsible adult to care for him at all?

There's not a single authority figure in Shen Jiu's life that's ever done him good, not QJL, not WY, and SJ's own shizun, the prev. QJPL is up for debate but I have reasons to believe why they ain't shit too. And like hear me out, YQY doesn't count either coz SJ *thinks* YQY is another caregiver that gave up on him and didn't take responsibility for him. And obviously that's not true, but that's just how it is from his perspective sadly.

I still really like Shen Jiu's dark backstory, coz there's no Shen Jiu without it, buuuuuuuut if you really want a version of him that doesn't take that bullshit out on his disciples, do give him an ADULT, coz never a kid, give him and adult first, before you give him any kids, so he can LEARN HOW TO BE AN ADULT.

would just like to remind everyone that alec and magnus were never a situationship — they were interested in each other, as open about their feelings as possible despite societal and personal conflicts, and then they became boyfriends. all in under under two months. they had issues that were not initially addressed which led to a breakup early on in their relationship, but through open communication and willingness to grow, they worked it out and held zero resentment, moving forward into a beautiful, mature, adult relationship. if they can respect themselves and each other enough to pursue the person they love admist multiple barriers, public shunning, family issues, and a goddamn war, so can we, my lovelies. do not settle for indifference.

Thinking about Erik accompaning Charles to fancy parties and feeling like the odd one out, watching how smoothy Charles flirts with all these beautiful women yet... never leaves with any?

Instead, he makes Erik drive him home because he's "far too drunk to drive" and even has him carry him upstairs. Charles is half asleep, but he keeps demanding Erik play with him, calling him a coward and 'What? Dont think you can beat a drunk man?' Only to stare at him half the game.

It makes Erik a bit uncomfortable, panicking because he's worried he's reading his mind about him. And he is. He so is. Hearing how cute Magnus thinks he is when like this and how happy he is to know THIS version of charles.

The one fussing and whining about the game, teasing him all the time, and sprawoed out in his bed like a pathetic disaster. He talks to erik in his brain semi on accident, laying here and talking about how sweet Erik is to him, how he treats him like a real person and how happy he is to have a true friend that isnt just out for his assets.

He hears erik quickly, thinking about an ass joke, and bursts out laughing like the little maniac that he is. Eriks so nervous that hes sitting here with a lopsided smile, sweating bullets, wondering how many drinks he really had and if he was okay with the joke or not only for Charles to kiss the hell out of him.

So now, Everything is silent but the conversation in their head is beautiful, the kisses are everything they've ever wanted but the moment erik tries to put a hand up his shirt, Charles slaps his hand like a grandma slapping you for trying to take fresh baked cookies.

The metal that was once floating clanks onto the ground. Erik is so scared that hes made him uncomfortable, but Charles giggles again, absolutely having a fit of them only to put his ear to eriks chest, trying to drown out all the sounds in his head.

It's really not rocket science to understand, so quickly in his brain, he puts together that perhaps Charles doesn't fancy anyone in that way. It's why he leaves the girls at the bar. It's why he's laid out on his chest right now, practically snoring.

For a few minutes he just lays here contemplating if he should leave, if he should touch him anymore only for Charles to put his hand on his back and another on his head. "Stay.."

It leaves Erik staring at the ceiling, grinning like an idiot and wondering what he was going to tell Hank in the morning...
