An unfortunate consequence of his plan is that Remus is likely going to sound like he was checking out your ass.

The truth is only that you’re sitting directly in front of him, and when you stood to bring the vial of your potion to Professor Slughorn, Remus’ eyes merely happened to glance across the spot on the back of your skirt. He doesn’t think anyone else has seen—it would be much better for both of you, actually, if your potions partner or some other menstruation-bound friend of yours were to notice and clue you in—and it’s really a rather inconspicuous stain, but still. Remus thinks he’s ethically required to tell you.

When class lets out for lunch, Remus lets his friends go ahead, catching you by the elbow when you start out of the room.

“Hey.” He tries on a smile. “Could I speak to you for a moment?”

You glance to your friend. “Just me?”

“Only for a moment.”

Your friend smiles at you as she turns to go, and at the entry to the classroom Remus can see James looking in his direction with a particular sort of knowing smile. Fine. They can all assume what they like.

Remus watches everyone file out, and you stand in front of him, holding your textbook to your front. “What is it?”

“Right. I’m sorry, I just thought you’d want to know,” he keeps his voice low, trying not to wince, “it looks like you’ve a stain on the back of your skirt.”

Immediately, any suspicion goes from your expression. Your eyes flare and you take in a tiny breath, turning your head to try and see. “Really?”

“Yeah, sorry. Just there.” Remus gestures feebly towards the spot, and you take the end of your skirt in your hand, pulling it sideways so you can see it.

“Bollocks,” you breathe. “Thank you for telling me. Merlin, this is embarrassing.”

“Don’t be embarrassed,” he says quickly. “I just wanted to…make you aware.”

You press your lips into a sort-of-smile. “I appreciate it. Thanks, Remus.”

“Right.” He nods stiffly, starting for the door. “See you around, then.”

Remus makes it halfway through the door before realizing you’re still standing where he left you. You’ve set your book down on the table and are chewing your lip, looking lost. He feels like an idiot. Of course, telling you about the problem didn’t fix it. You still have a stain on your skirt, and the only way to remedy it involves first walking through hallways full of students back to your dorm.

“Here, let me…” Remus lets his robe drop from his shoulders, balling it up awkwardly before holding it out to you. “That ought to cover it long enough for you to get changed.”

Your eyes are wide. “But won’t you get in trouble with McGonagall?”

“She likes me,” Remus admits. He doesn’t mean for it to sound as boastful as it does, but luckily you look more amused than repelled. Your smile is a welcome sight. “Anyway, I can nip back to my room to get another before lunch is over.” He presses the robe into your hand. “Take it.”

You do, sliding your arms through the sleeves. It doesn’t quite fit, but it works well enough not to look too out of place.

“Thank you,” you say again, voice softened. “Really, Remus. Thanks a lot.”

Something in Remus’ chest gives a giddy kick at the way you say his name. “Don’t worry about it.”

You wake up from your slumber hearing the screams from your neighbors in the small village you live in. You rush past your family who is now also scrambling to their feet, your husband rushing to gather himself as your children panic. You open your door slightly to see rooftops on fire and dead bodies lying in the roads.

Quickly, you close the door and turn to your husband with wide eyes, “Callum, it’s Vikings…” Your voice shakes with fear. You’ve heard stories from other villages about their attacks, leaving nothing but death and sorrow in their paths.

“We have to run, grab the children!” Callum whispers loudly as you stand there feeling overwhelmed with emotions. Everyone always assumed this village would be safe, untouchable, but this proved them all wrong.

Rushing to your children, you quickly squat down, “We are going to have to run, as fast as you can, okay?”

The children nod their heads crying, your oldest trying to be brave for you. Just then you all jump as the door is flung open. Screaming, you turn to see three big men and an equally large woman enter your home. An even bigger man, ducks to enter your home. Your eyes go wide seeing him, you’ve heard of the giant Viking man, but you assumed he was more of a myth to instill fear in people.

Using your body to shield your children as you step in front of them, you look to your husband. Callum seems to be frozen in fear, unable to even breathe. There’s a moment where no one moves and it’s quiet other than the sounds of your children crying.

The large man has a mask covering his face, his pale blue eyes are the only part of his face that is visible in the low light in the home. He has an aura about him that could strike fear in any warrior’s heart.

“P-please leave us, we don’t have much.” You speak up, your voice trembling.

The leader turns to two of the other Vikings and speaks to them in a language that you’ve never heard before. They nod and move to my husband, restraining him. He screams and the woman hits him, making you fear for your lives more. You look up wide eyed as the tall man begins to approach you.

König sees the family before him, a man frozen in fear, three children cowering behind their mother, and then their mother… you. A small but brave woman, brave enough to speak up when her husband couldn’t. It makes him impressed, wondering what type of woman could be so bold.

König approaches you with a hungry look in his eyes. His gaze drops down to the way the thin fabric of your nightgown clings to your body. Your breasts are massive and perfectly round, nipples hard and poking through the fabric. König has always loved a woman with large breasts and a little extra. Your breasts looking so perfectly full, his mind begins to wonder if you are still feeding your youngest. Your body is simply perfect for him.

“Name?” König asks in a low voice.

The closer he got the more his true size became obvious. The smell of his clothes-stained copper from the blood and his natural musk filled your nostrils. You feel small as he towers over you. His eyes are still wandering your body.

“I’m König.” He says finally.

He feels himself getting lost in your eyes as he takes in the beautiful color. You gaze up at him with the most stunning sage green eyes speckled with golden brown. The most beautiful hazel eyes he has ever seen. Gently he raises a hand to your face and caresses it, leaving a streak of blood behind. Your skin is so soft to his large and rough hand. He can only imagine the rest of you is this soft.

“Is this your husband?” He points to Callum.

“Yes, and these are our children. Please, we are simply farmers. We don’t have much.”

“Hm, I see.” König takes a deep breath and looks down at your breasts again. “Are you still feeding the youngest?”

“Y-yes…” You answer hesitantly wondering what type of question is that.

That is exactly what he wanted to hear. You are not only bold, daring, and beautiful; but also soft, desirable, and can create children for him. This is what he’s been looking for, and he finds you here. Wasting your milk on a weak man’s offspring.

“Perfect, you’ll be coming with me.”

Your jaw drops stunned as you look up at him shaking your head no, “I- I can’t leave my family. My husband-”

“That man? He’s not worthy of you. You deserve more, and I intend on giving it to you. Now please Liebling, don’t fight.”

König steps to you and grabs your arm to pull you away from your children. Your husband begins to yell at König, saying that he can’t do this. He can’t just take you. Your children stand confused, not understanding the whole situation completely while the youngest cries.

“Please, don’t.” You whimper, looking back at your family as he drags you away.

“You’ll be happy with me. You aren’t a farmer's wife, you’re a queen. My queen. Now come.” König scoops you up into his arms bridal style, his fingers digging into the supple flesh of your thighs as he carries you away from your small home.

“Don’t worry, my people will let your family live.” König whispers to you as he walks. His eyes are drifting down your body. He feels the anticipation rising as he begins to walk you back to his clan’s ship on the coast near your village. He wants you in his home, in his bed, undressed where he can enjoy you and gaze into your eyes as he makes you cum. Soon.

Demons, I had forgotten how much I struggled with getting up early.

Especially after staying up late after dinner. I was sure I had passed out on the couch, but I had woken up in one of the rooms I used when I stayed over. I had a slight suspicion of who had brought me there, but for my own good, I decided not to dwell on it.

I forced my body to wake up and get out of the comfortable sheets. I took a quick shower, and the house already had the Ilyrios leathers ready when I stepped out, so I left a grateful remark aloud before getting dressed.

I figured most had stayed over, so I tried to make as little noise as possible as I sneaked into the kitchen to have some leftovers from the night before. It was really delicious, so if I was going to say goodbye to good food for the time I was away, I would make sure to enjoy these last bites. I couldn't stay at the Ilyrian camps, it would be very suspicious if I did after Rhys was asking what had happened to those females. And if I wanted to get answers, real answers, I'd have to make sure to be careful. They would guess my motives for being in the camp as soon as I set foot in it. So, ruled out.

However, there was a tavern a bit further away, nothing a few minutes walk wouldn't solve, with rooms upstairs. The Ilyrians frequented it for drinks. Therefore, that would be my biggest advantage.

A hand on my shoulder brought me back to reality, and I let out a startled shriek before turning around.

"What the hell…"

Oh.

When I noticed the hazel eyes and the shadows in tendrils spreading around the room, I relaxed.

"You scared me to death" I whispered slowly. Az smiled slightly, and for a moment, I held my breath. "I made some noise so you'd hear me, but you were committed to the mission" he pointed at my half-eaten food. I shook my head while suppressing a smile and hurried to clean up what I had messed up.

"Leave it, I'll do it" his voice interrupted me again, as his scent enveloped me, and he gently took things out of my hands. I glanced for a moment at the action, at his scarred hands moving, beautiful as anything I had seen, yet I couldn't ignore the fact that he was making an effort not to touch me, as if consciously avoiding brushing against me. A pang of pain shot through my chest, and I raised my guard again.

How foolish I was being, a complete and damn fool.

"It's okay, Azriel. I can handle it" I tried to say firmly but quietly, unaware that he was looking at me, studying me, searching for something. His wings fluttered softly, and shadows roamed freely around the room, around us.

"Why do you call me that?" he asked slowly, and I looked at him slightly confused, while tendrils of shadows wrapped around my fingers, tickling me a little with their cold touch, but managing to make me smile affectionately at them.

"Call you…. How?" I replied back, distracted by his shadows.

"Azriel" he said flatly. "You stopped saying my full name shortly after we met, and you've gone back to that for several weeks now."

I didn't respond. Obviously, if there was anyone in the world who could notice those things, it would be him. But I couldn't answer him, not honestly, at least. I couldn't tell him that I couldn't call him Az without it hurting, because it made me think of him with love, and I couldn't allow myself to continue that, not when I saw him with the beautiful Archeron sister. So I continued playing with his shadows, avoiding answering, but I felt his attentive gaze on me until the tendrils returned to him, and I had no choice but to lift my head to find him a short distance away from me.

"Did you take me to bed last night?" I asked, changing the subject. Az simply nodded. "Thank you" I whispered, not knowing what else to say. I swallowed hard and stepped away, ready to leave once and for all, before I did or said something I would regret later.

"Y/N" he called "Is everything okay?"

I tensed in my place, of course, he had also noticed that. "Yes" I lied without looking at him as I moved to put some snacks in the small backpack that, oh surprise, he had given me in a past solstice and I always carried with me.

"If it's about dinner, I'm sorry…"

"It's okay, it's forgotten" I interrupted, because if he said anything more, my heart would warm completely, and I would end up lowering the walls. "No" he said firmly, "questioning you like that made it seem like I thought you weren't capable. It's not about that" he looked at me confidently, his hazel eyes fixed on me, almost making me shiver.

I didn't want to know what else it was about because that would hurt my already wounded heart more, so I sent the curiosity to the deepest place in my mind and gagged it with all my might.

"It's okay, Azriel" I smiled slightley "Apologies accepted" I took my backpack, ready to leave this house once and for all and sink into self-pity while freezing to death in the Ilyrian mountains.

"I still think it's a bad idea for you to go alone" he blurted out once I had turned my back, causing me to freeze in place.

"We've talked about this, you know I can do it"

I took one more step before his voice sounded again, "I'm not saying no, just maybe…"

"Azriel, I really don't want to have this discussion again, please" I interrupted quickly. I didn't want him to offer. I couldn't let him, because then I wouldn't know what my reaction would be, and it would give me away.

"You're being irrational, you know?" he shook his head in a resigned tone.

Well, thank Mother he didn't insist further. I released the breath I was holding, and I supposed he realized that I wouldn't give in this time. Not even for him, despite the fact that, in the last few centuries, the word 'no' was never in my vocabulary when it came to Az.

"Maybe" I waved my hand without turning, "See you later, shadowsinger"

That same afternoon, I was already settled in the rundown room of the tavern. I had to persuade the owner to give me the most decent place possible, and honestly, if this was the best he could offer, I'd take it. It was either this or sleeping on the outskirts of the camp freezing my butt off.

I wrinkled my nose as the smell of mold burned my nostrils. By the Cauldron, Rhys had made me too spoiled.

"Y/N" I heard a voice in my mind.

Speaking of being spoiled…

"I can hear that" the voice spoke again.

I smiled softly. "Of course. Oh mighty High Lord" I replied mockingly.

"I'm glad to see you're in better spirits, Y/N" he responded, also teasing, and my smile faltered. A hint of humor seeped into my mind, and I realized that's what he wanted: to mess with me.

"Don't you have a mate to attend to, Rhys? Instead of bothering me?" I retorted sharply.

"Feyre is very well taken care of by me, thank you for your concern. And to answer your other question, you promised a nightly report" he remarked in that tone of superiority.

Right. "Well, there's not much to update. I'll be staying in that tavern near the camp, a bit off the beaten path to avoid suspicion. And most people here don't know me, so everything should be fine. Tomorrow I'll inquire more about the deaths of those females. A curious outsider at first, and by nightfall, I'll have answers. It shouldn't take more than three days" a touch of approval filled my mind, and I smiled slowly.

"Let me know if you encounter any problems, Y/N" Rhys paused before asking "Is everything okay?"

I knew what he meant, and I knew I could tell him because Rhys wouldn't say a word. But opening that little crack would make everything come to light, would make me collapse, and this wasn't the time or place. So I responded with a joke instead, "No, Rhys, this room smells terrible, and the food is tasteless."

His laughter filled my head. "I didn't know you had become so spoiled aside from lazy" he said in a soft tone, and I understood… I understood that Rhys knew I was lying, but he was letting it go to avoid pressuring me. He had noticed my mood at dinner the night before, my need for space, and yet, he had decided not to comment on it.

My heart warmed. I would give my life for him, for my entire family in general.

"Thank you, Rhys" I tried to pour all my gratitude into that simple phrase, but I knew it wouldn't be enough. "For everything" I paused. "Now, go to your neglected mate before I go kick your butt myself"

His laughter filled my head again before disappearing completely, leaving me alone with the thoughts swirling in my mind.

What was that earlier with Az? When I left, he seemed concerned. I understood his position. He didn't want me to come alone in case something went wrong, especially knowing how much I detested the Ilryos for their harsh customs.

Maybe that's all it is. What else could it be? After all, I was almost as well-trained as the three of them. However, Az was the one who had been most reluctant to let me go alone. And what if…

No. I forced myself not to consider any other possibility that gave me hope. Because I had seen it, I had seen how comfortable he was with Elain, and how today, before I left, he made an effort not to touch me even a single inch.

A familiar pain filled my chest, so strong that it forced me to hug myself tightly as I wrapped myself in the blankets of the bed.

Perhaps, this was how it was meant to be. Three brothers with three sisters. There was no place for me in that equation.

And yet, I couldn't help but think of the times his eyes softened at my poor attempts at baking, even though it tasted like crap and not even Cassian could stomach it, Az would eat the entire portion. Or when in training, my muscles were so stiff that I just wanted to drop to the ground, and he provoked me, knowing what to say to touch the competitive fibers within me, forcing me to get up because he wouldn't let my pride be trampled upon. Even the times he played dirty to make me lose a fight, he knew what to do to distract me.

But none of that mattered. Not when he was with Elain.

It hurt, of course it hurt. It's not like I had been displaced from my place beside him. It's just that seeing him with the Archeron sister made me realize that I wasn't indispensable, he could be fine without me. That's why I had distanced myself, for my own good, for the sake of my feelings, of the unrequited love, and for… their sake.

That I couldn't have Az didn't mean I wouldn't let him be happy with someone else.

And by distancing myself, I supposed I had unintentionally done the same with the others. That's why I had missed some training sessions, why I had stopped going to some family dinners, because it hurt to see him. I knew Cassian was worried, I had seen it in his eyes, and for Rhys, it would be as easy as delving into my mind to know, but he would never do that.

I knew they would let me deal with whatever was happening in my own way, that's why they didn't pressure me, none of them, not even Mor, until I was ready to talk.

And that thought made me realize that I wasn't trying hard enough. I had felt lonely because I had unjustly pushed them away. When I got back home, I would make sure to do my part, I would try to be happy for Az and Elain, I would stop skipping training sessions and dinners to avoid crossing paths with him.

I loved him, and seeing him with someone else hurt me, yet I wouldn't let that affect my relationship with my family. I would pay attention to conversations during meals, I would no longer be a ghost. I had finished with self-pity.

However, I still felt glad to have volunteered to participate in this mission. They deserved all the peace they had, and if I could provide them with more time of tranquility by doing these things, I would. I would postpone everything for as long as possible and offer to go anywhere. And with that last thought in mind, I let sleep take over me and slept peacefully for the first time in months.

Hiiii, this was such a cute request! I love the opposites attract relationships so much and imagining THE big, scary Ghost with this very sweet and kind reader is so fun!! Kinda got carried away with it, but I hope you like it!! Thank you for requesting!! (❤ ω ❤)

|| Ghost with a Soft Partner ||

Warnings: soft and flustered Ghost (^///^)

It's not often when Ghost gets to take a break from his work, but when he does it's never for very long

So, when he does get a break, he spends it doing the few things he actually likes about civilian lives

And, surprisingly, one of those things is reading

So, whenever he's in town, he likes to pick up a few books to take back to base with him

So he pulls on the most discreet civvies he owns, a black hoodie, mask, and beanie. (Because you can't very well go about in town with a skull mask without getting unwanted stares)

He doesn't like how much his hulking form sticks out in the cozy bookstore but he goes anyway

However, he immediately regrets it after he sees the confusing way the store has the books organized

Apparently noticing his confusion, you would approach to help him

He is immediately taken aback by your soft-spoken voice and demeanor as you ask if he needs help

Would take a minute to respond and not notice he's just staring at you

When he notices you starting to get nervous under his intense gaze he would immediately look away and clear his throat

"I'm lookin' for your mystery books..."

"Oh! Yes, the sorting method can get a little confusing. Just follow me!"

He is once again taken aback by your helpful attitude

It's not often people are so nice to him

You bring him to the right section and are about to leave him alone when he suddenly asks;

"Any recommendations?"

He doesn't know why he asks but he knows that he's comforted by your presence

So, the two of you talk and he ends up buying more than one of your recommendations

But eventually you have to go back to work and he has to go back home

However you find yourself stuck thinking about the large, intimidating man with a love for mystery books and he finds himself in a similar position.

So he finds himself coming back to the bookstore again

and again

He finds talking with you to be like a fresh breath of air

It makes him forget about Ghost for a while and feel like Simon again

Eventually he gets up the courage to ask you out on a date against his better judgement

So, you end up going on a date to this cutesy cafe even though he feels totally out of place because he knows you would love it

He eventually opens up about his job but tells you the bare minimum, just that he's just a military soldier is the SAS

Your shocked and slightly worried because that work is dangerous but upon reflection you know he can handle himself

He walks you home and the end of the night and when you lean in to kiss him, he pulls back

When you look at him with a hurt expression, he continues;

"Listen... I don't understand how I feel about you but I do know you deserve a hell of a lot more than me. If we do this, I have to know your sure. My work is... Dangerous. I don't want to hurt you."

You smile, "Let me worry about what I think I deserve, Simon."

You place your hands on the sides of his mask and he pauses, large hands coming up to engulf your wrists as he nods

You pull his mask down and lean up as you kiss

Eventually, he has to return to base and is worried on how the distance will affect your relationship

You reassure him though with your soft smile and tell him you'll be waiting for him to get back

He feels his heart clench with a soft affection he hadn't felt in a long time

While he's going through his things, he opens one of the books you had recommended to him only to find you had tucked a few secretly taken polaroids inside

He keeps one tucked in his breast pocket and another pinned to the wall in his room on base

While he's gone, the two of you share video calls and you send him letters

He's always so touched by the time you put into the letters and he loves knowing your still doing fine without him there

He would be SUPER protective of you

When the other guys on the 141 task force find out he has a partner, they argue over what kind of person he would look for in a partner

When he finally shows them a picture, they are all shocked because just from the picture they can tell your complete opposites

You send him care packages with books you think he would like and homemade sweets

The other guys would always ask for some but he would refuse because you made them for him

He would be reluctant to tell you about his past because he doesn't want to "corrupt" you

You tell him he's being dumb and reassure him that, when he's ready to talk, you'll be there

Would still have feelings of inadacity because he's a cold-hearted killer and your so painfully good

You reassure him that his work helps tons of people and that your proud of him

He enjoys having you read to him while he rests his head in your lap

He's definitely touch starved so he gets very flustered when you get touchy with him

He loves it tho

I can also see him sending you books, trinkets, and rocks he finds while on deployment

You keep each one he sends and display them

Prefers to spend dates indoors quietly

Would 100% fantasize about marrying you

Would encourage you to be a little less kind when people at work are mean to you or too pushy because he doesn't like the idea of not being able to defend you himself

All and all, you would just be really fluffy and cute, a much needed softness to balance out his cold demeanor
