The FateStuck Humans

The FateStuck humans are all fusions of John, his friends, and their guardians, made via button mashing in the Ecto Biology Lab.

Thankfully, due to the lab's nature as both a cloning facility for Carapacian Soldiers, and a means of repopulation for victorious Sburb players, the lab itself can compensate for a lack of variety in gene selection, and apply mutation where necessary to create healthy Paradox Clones, making incest impossible. Were it possible, John's button mashing would have had MUCH darker implications.

Each human is not necessarily a perfect mix of their host parent's abilities and personalities, though they may share certain qualities that flavor their own perspectives and sense of self. The cast is, as follows.

Herself and her Twin Sister were found by and adopted into the eccentric family of pranksters known as the Sassacres. Their grandfather, Colonel Sassacre, is the titular writer of Colonel Sassacre's Daunting Text of Magical Frivolity and Practical Japery. And this text in particular was the foundation of a lucrative empire of toys, prankster's guides, costumes, and puppets.

June, the heir to this great prankster's empire, is not so much invested in her destiny as a Princess of Pranks. Rather, she just spends her time (and sizable allowance) collecting and studying retro video games, merchandise, and technology. She even themed her Strife Deck after Light Gun accessories from old Shooter Games.

She's raised by a lovely pair of mothers, Mom Sassacre (A very stylish "down to business" kind of businesswoman.) and Mum Sassacre (A muscular POC harlequin who NEVER stops being a proper goofball for the Sassacre name.)

She has a strong connection to her online friends, both her human ones AND the Trolls that her bestie introduced her to, and is looking forward to playing the Prototype for the upcoming game Sburb, which will help them all to meet up and have fun adventures together.

Though in all of this, she feels a particular sense of danger. There's a foreboding atmosphere surrounding this game, and especially around her sister, who seems to know more than she's letting on…

June's Twin Sister, and another potential heir to their empire, though she has no interest in it.

While June was holding down the fort at their extravagant mansion on Sassacre Island, Halley and Grandpa Sassacre went to another island in Canadian territory for an expedition, Sassacre seeing connections between there and the mysterious Frog Temple that resided close to his family home.

Grandpa Sassacre dies of old age on this journey, leaving Halley to be looked after by the Family Pet, a mysterious two-mouthed white furred cat named Pounce. Halley was 6 when this happened, by now she's 13.

Pounce himself was gifted by some distant family friend, Grandpa described her as a "very blue elderly jokester." I wonder what she was so sad about?

Halley became hyperfixated on all things spooky, inspired by local Wicca culture villagers on this island practice. She considers herself a Satanist, and is actively seeking darker and darker forces to guide her on a path to glory. This has only gotten worse recently, now that she's been dreaming of a mysterious Violet City ruled by Crustaceans with black shells, which lay close to the domain of ancient primordial gods. Their guttural words are VERY soothing to her.

Nobody really knows what to make of her. Halley comes across as a girl who actively wants to seem strange to everyone she talks to, and while half the time she's clearly just pretending to be some kind of mad cultist, sometimes she seems to know MUCH more than she should.

One thing everyone can agree on, that old Puppet she carries around with her is very creepy.

He has no standard name. You can try and guess what his first name is all you like, but even if you're right it makes no difference. He slashed that half of his own Placronym into dust ages ago.

The Strider lived a carefree existence under the watchful eye of his ghostbro Dave Strider, known by some as Davesprite. For the longest time, The Strider looked up to his bro as the perfect teacher, he taught The Strider everything he knows about wielding his awesome retractable double sword. That is, until a particular falling out.

One day, The Strider suddenly found his friends had ghosted him. At first he thought nothing of it, but soon he'd found his internet was having some serious problems, and it wasn't a wifi issue.

Dave, in all of this, shrugged and brushed aside any worries. He was acting suspiciously, and so The Strider suspected his weird techy ghost powers were involved.

This began The Strider's rebellious tendencies, which itself evolved into a philosophy on living. Namely, irony is worthless and genuine enjoyment is always the better way of doing things.

The Strider began genuinely enjoying bad movies, outsider art, shitty obscure soda brands (Kooba Cola is the BEST), and any and all works that go against convention.

And Dave… could not fathom ANY of this no matter how hard he tried, which quickly began to widen the gap in their relationship.

What finally got Dave to start taking it all seriously was when The Strider came out as gay, and made it completely clear he wasn't joking. That… took some time for him to process, but ultimately he accepted it.

Things were going well, and it almost seemed like they'd be bros again… Until Nannasprite hacks into their system and helps RR chat with him again, where he learns Dave DID mess with all the tech in the house, AND the TVs, AND the mailbox, and basically ANYTHING he could modify.

The reason? To hide ANY knowledge of Sburb, a game that Dave REFUSES to let his bro play, claiming that game will be the death of him and everyone he loves.

Not one to give up, and especially after being gaslit by his own ghostbro for so long, The Strider makes it his mission to play the game with his friends, the only ones he trusts.

… now what's this about "Trolls" joining the friend group?

Yes you ALWAYS say the full name, she's always ROXY ROSE Lalonde. There is no middle name, and neither is an individual first name.

She's an aspiring Pranksmaster, and one of the few folks who know how to ACTUALLY use Prankster's Gambit as a battle system. She even has an alternative leveling system to work towards a powerful Joke Build, a "Low Tier God Tier" if you will.

With her understanding of Prankster's Gambit, and her wide array of Strife Weapons, Roxy takes fun and games VERY seriously, like competing in an arcade tournament with the joke character.

As to be expected from the girl raised by Nanna and Jaspers, a girl's bound to go through life on weirder paths when a grandma and tentakitty ghost are her parents.

She's a wizard at tech, a chemist of Tonic Mixology, a bundle of pure charisma, AND she introduced her friends to the Trolls!

That story aside, she's also kinda-sorta an heir to the Betty Crocker company? Apparently Nanna did some kind of "hostile takover" back in the day. And apparently that also ended in saving a stray cat? (Not Jaspers.) Anyway, now Nanna can buy out obscure brands and keep them on the market! Which is why EVERY subscription to the brand for monthly goodies comes with a free crate of Kooba Cola! (Whether you want it or not.)

She loves soft drinks, has her own dedicated """bar""" fulla fun mixins and syrups. She's staunchly against booze, even when she grows up she'll never partake, that's her solemn vow.

Plus, the extra seltzer makes for great spare ammunition! Efficiency always has a place in puns and pugilism.

"Both are characters who crushed on a guy that eventually entered a homo relationship. Both have been targeted by fans who saw them as "obstacles" for their OTPs. Jane Crocker had it slightly worse at first on account of being brainwashed for a percentage of her screentime. Then things kind of escalated when certain fanon stuff got canonized as both actually got married said crushes (with Jane actually having a kid and Jade flirting with her husband's boyfriend)"

"Receives classio fandom misogynoir. She did eventually go down a dark path and do some fucked up things in season 3 (which I have a lot of problems with) but it was met by reactions of "see I knew she was evil all along!" people saying she never changed and was always selfish and terrible: (at the start of her character arc in season 1, she's struggling with the consequences of her actions and trying to be a better person. Among other things, she used her powers of compulsion to force her daughter to behave, which is BAD but it's not inhumanly evil. Can you imagine being an exhausted mom dealing with a misbehaving child and knowing that you have the ability to make them be quiet and do what you want? You really wouldn't be tempted? Anyway, she REGRETS IT.) It was painful near the end of season 1 where her sibling (Viktor, but season 1 was before his transition) was being manipulated by his evil boyfriend into unleashing his powers (sealed because they were dangerous) and turning against his family. Allison tried to warn him and take him back with her. When talking didn't work, Allison felt her only option was to compell him (which works by her saying "I heard a rumor" and then whatever she wants the person to do), and when she tried that Viktor slit her throat. He felt guilty for it but his evil boyfriend led him away and Allison was left there bleeding. People watching BLAMED ALLISON FOR THIS. She was DESPERATE to get her sibling back & away from an evil guy that was leading him down a really destructive path (he caused the end of the world! because of it!) and only tried to use her power after asking didn't work. She did not deserve to be hurt like that. Allison unfortunately was a bad person in season 3. But she sure as hell wasn't always a bad person and I hated seeing so many people say she was, I stopped looking at fandom spaces because of it. She was trying her best and did a lot of good before that."

HOMESTUCK OCSSSSSS prt: 3

Friefa Skagit (troll) he/it

Its a violet blood, and therefore is 'nobility' or whatever. He's never had much of an interest in the caste system, even less so after getting into a pale relationship with Rattie. He has a cybernetic leg (left) and arm (left), which were programmed by itself and built by Rattie. It mightve had a bit of an accident involving a certain... Aquaitence, the first time he went on land. (They made up years later. Check out part 4 for more info)

Needs glasses, but only on land. (So, most of the time) Despite this, it only really wears its glasses when he's not 'swashbuckling,' leaving him with blurred vision during escapades much of the time. He also puts on a sea traveler's pirate-y accent when on adventures, having a much more nasally and almost 'nerdy' voice when in private.

Despite being a seadweller, it spends most of its time out of the water. But not on land either. It spends its time on its pirate ship, where he can work on his coding projects from anywhere, as well as releasing unsuspecting passerbys of their dubloons.

His main captchalogue deck is a 'code deck' allowing for items to be directly alchemized, but all items stored are reverted to their base components and have to be reconstructed (or reprogrammed) to be taken out. (this is only after entering the game and collecting grist. before entering the game, it just used a deck similar to Jane's 'crocker deck' which shows how to alchemize items but can't actually alchemize items directly) BUT, when out on the high seas, he uses the 'Boon deck!' All items acquired are teleported to a horde of treasure. The horde is located inside of a chest that stays locked tight in the belly of his ship, only able to be opened with the key it wears around his neck. As the items are teleported there, they are unattainable unless you are on the ship the chest lives in. Luckily, it's ship is never far behind him! For you see...

The ship is also his losus! Sorta. The ship is built around Friefa's whale losus, who he affectionately calls 'The Beluga.' After the game is started, Beluga is prototyped with the kernelsprite, and then the ship immediately after (as the ship is attached to Beluga) in sprite form, Beluga can change from a small, troll/human sized sprite, to its full former size in the form of the ship! (And also everything that was on the ship.) Aside from the world ending (oops) the day the game started might've been the best day of Friefa's life, as it could finally speak to Beluga in English! Meaning his land dweller friends could join in on the conversation.

His strife specibus is "SwashbucklerKind" and it wields a mounted arm cannon (on his robot arm), a blunderbus that extends from his robo-peg leg, and a pirate's cutlass.

Is a derse dreamer and a 'Theif of Void,' able to steal the secrets and items from other people without even needing to be near them! When swashbuckling, it prefers to steal things the old fashioned way, but information (aka secrets) about where the treasure might be is fair game.

He likes robotics, writing, and sailing the 4 great seas of alternia on its ship 'The Beluga.' Plays the cello and the standing bass, favoring the second.

Its handle is 'CyberneticSwashbuckler'

His typing quirk is " @®®®gg!! L!k€ t#!$. !t ®€m!πd$ m€ °£ m€ ®°b°t$, @πd m€ ®€¶l@¥©€m€πt l!mb$" note that it only talks like this when out swashbuckling. Normally he speaks without the arrrgg and the 'me's instead of 'my's

So, every character is swapped with another (kinda except the author, lusii, and Ms. Paint), but it's not like your average swap, since they also get their classpects and moon reversed as well!

Jane is swapped with John, and Jane is now a Bard of Doom and John is now a Mage of Blood. Both sleep on Derse! Their last names are also swapped, and so is their genes when it comes to ectobiology. Jane Egbert and John Crocker, respectively. (Since I've already showed Jane in her regular outfit and her godtier, I'll show her like this)

Dirk is swapped with Dave, and Dirk is a Sylph of Mind and Dave is a Rogue of Space; both sleep on Prospit. What I mean by they're swapped ectobiologically is that Dirk Lalonde is related to Roxy Strider, and Dave is not related to Rose Strider. Remember, these two are copies of the originals, but they're swapped completely! Here's Dirk and Dave Lalonde!

Hello! I'm excited for things to come! However, I'm also wondering if you plan on editing ur blog theme anytime soon? The asks are currently magenta text on magenta with a bit of a drop-shadow, and your sidebar is plain text on a very busy background and both are difficult to read

Yeah it's sort of a mess I'm actively editing right now tbh, as I go through the midst of this Self-Realignment Ritual/Public facing Rebrand?

Its been a long time since I edited Tumblr themes so I'm doing a sloppy job of it. TBH I'd suggest people interested in my Homestuck content just use my blog as a link to the Apocryphon right now, since it's the most relevant and interesting thing I've done by far atm. Like I've said previously, I'd be happy if people just started talking about that with the #Pumpkin Path or #Pumpkin Track tag. As far as Im concerned, everything else on my blog ATM is a distraction.

Alternatively if they're looking for my analysis work, I'd suggest peeps try checking out my Medium profile. That was always where my best work was hosted; I never managed to port it all to Youtube practically and Tumblr just wasn't as good at letting me use images to supplement arguments.

I have major essays on Rose and Kanaya, Dave and Karkat, Jane Crocker and Gamzee Makara, Dirk Strider, the whole Active/Passive Class system, and Homestuck's influence from stuff like Gnosticism, The Neverending Story, and Earthbound/Mother 3 on there. Heck, there's even an essay or two on non-Homestuck subjects, like my ZEAL-published piece on BOKTAI: THE SUN IS IN YOUR HAND (2003) Of course there's also always the Youtube channel, and content should be getting started up again there relatively soon as well. By nature its also a bad idea to change branding too much on youtube, so fans of optimisticDuelist specifically can expect that house style to mostly stay the same, with maybe a surprise or two inside the framing of Youtube videos themselves (;3)

My tumblr is not exactly in a state for public consumption yet and I'm mostly using it as personal catharsis/to mess around and cope. I'm not even reblogging/posting much Homestuck, i seem to be defaulting to reblogging Boktai and other stuff like that instead atm! I don't expect that to change very much for the time being unless I start engaging with Pumpkin Path discussion or fanart, but that hasn't manifest on Tumblr basically at all yet.

So for now this Tumblr is a messy in-transition personal blog of SOME Homestuck but mostly random fandom content of stuff I love. Well. And Plenty of dude/achillean love-centric 18+ content on my sideblog that is now just for giving me an outlet to reblog stuff like that, as well.

OK. OK. Tristamp Vash. guy who's got feminine characteristics in his story, narrative foil to his twin brother who's got a lot of masculine characteristics. We got that down we're all caught up!! classpect time :3 (putting this under a read more because this got LONG)

Obviously classpects vary wildly between different people's perspectives, and even within the text of Homestuck itself, but there are some heavily implied roles that each class/aspect has. Time is generally an aspect associated with masculinity, Witches are typically girls, etc. Ofc Vash and Knives can have different classpects than these, but making them a Muse of Life and Lord of Doom respectively just FITS. SO WELL.

Since there's only one Muse and one Lord in Homestuck, there's not much to draw from when analyzing these classes, but there are some insinuations to be made! Muses likely a class more common in women, and Lords are likely more often men. The Life aspect is one that in text, we have only seen in female players, and only male players have had the Doom aspect (not that those aspects are gender-exclusive, but it is a PATTERN).

Life is a nurturing, motherly aspect. Jane Crocker is often treated/seen as a mother (despite being 16, which is a whole other can of worms), and her older self, Nanna Egbert, is one of the few Homestuck characters to canonically be a mother!!! Feferi is the heiress to an entire planet, and her Beforan self is a coddling motherly figure to her empire. Vash is the silent guardian of No-Man's Land, protecting people and being kind and gentle to everyone ESPECIALLY KIDS! We've seen how he is with kids, in Tristamp and every other version! Also in Tristamp, Vash is. a fucking parent now. Knives used Vash to make all these Plants get pregnant. Very violating, but it fits with the maternal themes already associated with him.

Knives and Doom. The only two Doom players we have are the Captors (and I am by no means an expert on Mituna so we're mostly working with Sollux here). However, both are shown to have powers that have extremely destructive potential. Sollux is also a Dave parallel, which means he's also a Masculine Cool Kid, just to a lesser extent. Doom isn't an inherently masculine aspect but there are bits and pieces of it reflected in the people who hold that aspect.

It's also... an extremely lonely aspect. There are only two people who hold it, one of which is a joke character, and the other of which isn't even present for the kids' victory. It's not a needed aspect for a successful session. Neither is Life, but it's still a good one to have in many sessions! Doom is more so an extra, something more directly helpful when it's paired with a negative class (Bard, Prince, Rogue, Thief, etc.). It's not needed to balance anything out except for the Aspect Wheel itself in the coding of Sburb. Knives is a very lonely character. He's not needed. Not in the lives of Plants and humans, and not in the life of his brother.

Now for Classes! Muses are passive; things happen to them, they rarely make things happen. Calliope sat around and waited for someone to come rescue her with a ring of life, doing nothing but telling her story to the poor dead souls who crossed her path. Alt!Calliope finally took action in the end, but how long did that take? How long was she stuck in the bubbles, searching for very specific souls to guide them to the right paths? Aimless and wandering with no one and nothing to keep her grounded, HMMM DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE A HUMANOID TYPHOON WE KNOW??? HMMMMMMM

In contrast, Lords are very active. Caliborn takes charge, makes decisions, and works off of a myriad of terrible instincts and loose guidance. He's also an incredibly masculine character (or so he wants us to think). He takes control over his sister's life, he takes control over the lives of others when he's part of Doc Scratch and then Lord English. He is the puppeteer! Everyone else is just an object for his own gain, HMMMM DOESN'T THAT SOUND LIKE A GENOCIDAL PLANT THAT WE KNOW?? HMMMMM

Maybe if Knives chose a different path, he could have been a Prince, or a Thief, but he's a Lord of Doom. This is the path he's chosen, much like Caliborn and how he chose to kill his sister and enter a dead session. This is what Knives has chosen to do. Both are forcing the world and their siblings into whatever roles they see fit.

The Lord of Time shatters the universe- Space itself, the realm of his sister. The Lord of Doom shatters the Life of his brother. This is not the inherent role of a Lord, but these are the paths they have chosen. The narrative parallels are there. The Lord kills the Muse, he takes choice away from the universe, he breaks it for his own gain.

Steve and Billy had been acting weird. Well, weirder than usual Max thought. They had been sneaking about, always talking in hushed voices when she or Jane was about. Try as she might, Max could not figure out what the hell was going on with those two. They certainly weren’t breaking up because every time Billy went to Steve’s place, he was so grossly in love that Max felt like she would gag. 

“Why are you and Steve sneaking around the house? It’s only you two and me here,” Max rolled her eyes at Steve scrambling to hide a bowl of something underneath the counter while Max went to the fridge to grab a can of soda. 

“It’s none of your business shitbird,” Billy tried to look intimidating but it was kinda hard when he was wearing an apron that was smeared with flour. Max let the fridge door fall closed as she raised an eyebrow at her stepbrother. 

“Ok, whatever you say, Julia Child,” Max walked away cackling at Billy’s blustering, sipping her soda knowing that Billy would absolutely try to get her back for that but the opportunity was too good to waste. She can always ignore them while Freddy Krueger kills people on TV.

The next time Max caught Steve and Billy sneaking around, they were carrying armfuls of VHS tapes. To give them props, they had the side with the titles turned towards them. 

“Did you guys just rob Family Video or what?” Max folded her arms and waited for the latest bullshit on why they were sneaking about. 

“Max I work at Family Video, why would I rob it?” Steve answered with a question. 

“To spite Keith?” Billy nudged Steve in the side with his elbow, and dropped one of the tapes, “Shit!” 

The tape was a copy of Friday the 13th: A new beginning, the exact tape that Max was wanting to order for weeks. Max picked it up and waved in front of the boys. 

“Ok, what’s going on? I’ve been talking about renting out this tape for weeks. As soon as it's available, you have it. Start explaining love birds.” 

Steve immediately started stammering, something about a surprise for Max’s birthday later this week. They had wanted to do it while her parents weren’t here because they would never agree to any horror movies if they were. Max was kind of touched that they wanted to do that for her. Steve Harrington had really dulled down Billy’s sharp edges. 

“We were making a cake for you,” Steve blurted out, “But neither of us are good at baking, so uh, we might’ve just ordered some doughnuts from the shop on Turner street.” The bakery on Turner street did the raspberry jelly doughnuts that Max would always get when she went to stay with Jane. 

“That’s why I smelt burning then,” Max said with a chuckle, snorting when Billy said that not even Betty Crocker could save their abysmal baking skills. 

“Y’know, it’s really nice of you guys to do this all for me,” Max walked over to the VCR and popped in the tape, “you guys wanna order Chinese and we can watch Vorhees hack up some unsuspecting camp counsellors?” 

“You got it Mad Max.”

i’m a jade harley kin, and just really looking for anyone who was part of the same timeline, or thinks they remember me. I was a Witch of Heart and my sister was June Egbert(Heir of Space). I was close with her and two of our other friends, Dave Strider(Knight of Light) and Rose Lalonde(Seer of Time).

One difference I can note was that I believe I was also on the meteor, where I became matesprits with a jadeblood named Karrah(her aspect was Doom) and moirails with Karkat Peixes. I’d rather not get into what happened between Karrah and I, but I know I developed more flushed feelings for Peixes overtime, I’m unsure at the current moment if I talked with them about it.

I know we made it to the Alpha session and I do not really have any strong memories of Jane Crocker(Maid of Hope), Dirk Strider(Prince of Life), or Jake English(Page of Void). I know Roxy(Rogue of Breath) used the Strider last name, and we hung out a lot(they beat me at video games. A lot T-T).

Our session had a lot of time. While the meteor trip was still 3 years long, we had months before that and months after arriving in the Alpha session. Our Timeline was the retconned timeline, i do not know what was ‘retconned’ to prevent a Game Over.

If anyone has any memories of me being controlled by Karkat’s ancestor… I’m very sorry for any pain I had caused and I won’t blame you if you choose to not contact me after remembering.

I’m unsure how much i can help with others’ memories, but i will try my best, at the very least helping to maybe explain any of my personal actions.

- We still haven't seen Meenah or have her talk for more than like 3 pages :(

-We dont know what happened after Jake ran for Tavros at the church 

- We don't know how many characters knew Dave was dead in candy

I don’t have a lot to say, but I do find Jackie Boy to be quite attractive so don’t @ me. This has mainly the same reason that I kin Harley.

Yeah, this screams “WHAT THE FUCK” and “HOLY SHIT GET THERAPY NOW”. Honestly, I don’t even know, I think it’s because I use baking as a coping mechanism (and find Joe Goldberg hot).

Number 1: Amanda Young

This is both the weirdest choice to put first and the one that makes the most sense. Yeah, it’s weird because that’s totally not my deadname and I feel weird every time I hear her first name. But, I’ve learned to separate my deadname from her name so we’re Gucci now. I both want this woman to peg me and want to be her, no in between. I know the exact reason why I started kinning her and I’m not gonna say it because it’s a LONG story and it’s 3 am.
