Kingdom of the Planet of the Barbies

I recently watched the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. It made me...think.

About Proximus, having another human, a female one that he enjoys having around.

About him keeping her under constant watch, she can't move around freely alone. If it's possible, only with Sylva or Lighting, with her preferring the first one since he's less intended to hurt her and taunt her around.

About him, forcing her to eat with him alone in her room so no one can glance at her. Him giving her everything that he thinks she could like, only to see that she had put it in the pile of staff that he keeps bringing her.

About her, she had tried many times to escape the colony, to the point that the chain at her ankle had left so many scars that the skin reminded her of some strange material. That she's refusing to talk to him for days until he starts to get more aggressive, more violent.

About her, keeping her mouth shut every time he spoke about how great he is.

Three deleted scenes have been dropped ahead of the digital/hard copy release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

Comic Book Resource claims in their article with the clip of Noa and Mae that there will be 14 deleted/extended scenes, each one with commentary by director Wes Ball. With the addition of the raw cut of the film, without any CGI for the apes, this will be an unprecedented look at the production process of a rebooted Apes film. I’m so excited to get my hands on all these behind the scenes features and deleted clips!

Little character studies/doodles, I had taken a couple of pedantic liberties, lengthening chimp faces etc. Noa is beyond help tho.

I want to do more fanarty stuff but I needed a quick warmup first, I'd not really drawn much for a while so I'm rusty.

I’m not sure if this is a controversial thought, but I kinda wish Proximus and his apes did get into the vault.

Obviously I don’t mean he find the guns and learn how to use them! It just seems to me that Proxy meant ‘learning how to use and recreate human technology’ with evolution and I think it would have been interesting to see what he would have done with it.

Some ideas on what Proxy could’ve tried with that technology:

- Communicate with apes from different locations (including overseas).

- Fly planes (although I don’t know how successful that would be).

- Learn how to and utilize human medicine for the apes.

- If he found the zoo book Noa, Soona, and Anaya looked at, he could have used it as ‘proof’ that humans can never be trusted.

- His apes already seemed to understand electricity (Sylva and Lightning and their army using electricity sticks I mean). I wonder what else they could have done with it.

I guess my point is I support Proximus getting into the vault and he and his apes learning to use the technology within to benefit themselves (and maybe other apes too). It’s just the way he goes about it (kidnapping, enslavement, injuring and letting apes die) is unforgivable.
