--------Dove's POV--------

I heard a light knock on my door just as I settled into bed making me give a deep sigh, lazily flicking my arm to unlock my door for whoever it was. I didn't have to wait long for the door to open and close behind them, my senses filling with the aura of Izuna making me smile. He said nothing as I felt him slid into bed with me to lay down, something he would often do when either of us couldn't sleep or it was too cold in the apartment. Soft but strong hands carefully slipped around my waist, pulling me closer to him from behind as he buried his nose into my neck. I let out a content sigh and leaned back into him, relishing in the feel of his arms around me as his breath lightly fanned over the back of my neck.

"Madara asleep?" I asked him quietly, feeling him give a slight nod as he let out a deep breath. His head was quiet, like a soft humming in my head as his mind soothed me into a relaxed state. It was one of the things I loved about him.

"Have I ever told you how much you mean to me?" He asked back making my tired brows furrow, turning to look at him. "Because you mean so much to me, truly." He said, looking into my eyes in the dark room, the moonlight shining in through the window making it just enough light to see the soft smile on his face.

"Where's all this coming from?" I asked him, yawning a little as I cuddled into his chest, my ear on his chest as his heart beat loudly, the pace slightly quicker then I'd have thought.

"I just wanted you to know.. I love you." He said, a slight hesitance to his voice making me pause, looking up at him again to see the nervous shade to his features only I've gotten the privilege to see.

I smiled at him, his thoughts now unusually loud as his eyes searched mine frantically to decipher the emotions in my gaze before I leaned in to press a soft kiss on his lips. "Goodnight, Izuna." I muttered before drifting off to a peaceful sleep.
