That marketing for the Super Mario Bros movie sure was a surprise. Not only to show its commercial with a familiar tune, but also to check out their phone number and website. Gotta say, this looks sure enough to get more hype when it hits in theaters. 😉👍

Wow, the official Super Mario Bros. Plumbing has changed with a new look, layout, and new additions. In this video, I take a look at the current latest appearance on the official Super Mario Bros. Plumbing. Yes, this has most changes from the original version from last month. For example, the manhole now takes you to the final trailer of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, and to new to me is that if you book an appointment, it will take you the movie's page on Fandango, if you're outside the US, it will take you to the movie's official website.

The promotional Super Mario Bros. Plumbing website used to promote the 2023 Super Mario Bros. movie from February to October 2023 contained an Easter egg in its code where checking the source code of the "Error 404" page revealed an ASCII art image of Lumalee.

I recently posted a headcanon analysis where I elaborated why I personally think Luigi has autism (which you can read here!), and I was requested to analyze Mario potentially having ADHD.

Just like last time, please keep in mind that having these traits does not necessarily mean you have ADHD.

And also, just like last time, I'll be focusing on Mario's portrayal in the recent Super Mario Bro's movie, since that is his most recent adaptation.

Potential Spoilers Ahead. Read At Your Own Risk.

Mario seems to be impulsive, blurting out his thoughts and jumping headfirst into things without fully thinking things through. There are multiple instances of this throughout the movie, one of the biggest being his fight with Donkey Kong, and impulsively challenging Cranky Kong without fully thinking things through.

While more socially aware than Luigi (who I argued in a previous post was autistic), he still struggles a bit socially, mostly due to his lack of impulse control. He sometimes blurts out his thoughts 

While this might be a stretch, I feel like their chosen occupation (and who takes over which priorities of said job) is due to Mario’s ADHD. Plumbing is a very hands on, active occupation- Perfect for someone with ADHD. While Mario tackles the more hands on aspects of the job, Luigi handles the more technical parts of the job (Luigi recording the voicemail for the Mario Bros. Plumbing number, most likely creating their website, and taking calls)

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, especially with his dad. 

Minor struggles with texture- seen with his clear dislike for mushrooms (and still not being able to stomach them throughout the movie!)

Occasional fidgets. (him rocking back n forth on his feet, fidgeting with his hands, etc)

Seen in concept art (here!) Mario’s side of the brothers’ room seems more disorganized and messy, while Luigi’s is more put together and neat.

Just like last time, this was a mostly rushed post with me jotting things down off the top of my head! If anyone wants a more detailed analysis, using majority of the mainline and spin off games, send in an ask or two! I'd love to if more people would enjoy that.

I HC that after the Bros mom gushed about leaving her boys "A glowing review", Arthur and Tony wanted to leave reviews to tease the Bros (nothing mean, just having a laugh) but as soon as the Bros dad heard what his little brothers were up to, he stepped in with arms folded and a firm "No".

From Luigi's Mansion 2: Dark Moon. I now need a full list of what this man is scared of

"Offers to tackle Professor E. Gadd's poltergeist problem" as if E. Gadd didn't just straight up show up at his house and kidnap him. But man, that "maybe he's just afraid of saying no, too" hits a little too close to home. Actually, if I may conflate the two universes, the movie's Super Mario Bros Plumbing website also had a list of things Luigi is afraid of:

Not only did these guys drop a new commercials based on the Super Mario Bros. Plumbing service with The Super Mario Bros. Super Show theme, but there's also a LEGITIMATE WEBSITE promoting the service. I seriously cannot fathom how excited I am for this movie... Also there's a new Bowser poster and it's breathtaking

an audio file from the official smb plumbing website!

when you click on the pipes it usually gives you a cool version of the “going into a pipe” sound, however there seem to be two rarer to get secret audio files that sound like excerpts from the movie soundtrack.

besides this there's another one that's an orchestral cover of the overworld theme from Super mario bros titled “completion-audio”, while this one is of the underground theme

looking through this website is like looking through the ISWM Markiplier website. If you click certain icons an audio plays (slightly distorted) and there’s even an Error404 page too.
