More info below on Rosetta and why Sunstar/Ra Moon was trapped in a PET for years.

Rosetta is Minx's mother but more importantly she is the current owner/CEO of EdWorks.

EdWorks is a company that specializes in firewall development first, and lucrative accessory/style chip development second. Their firewalls are sold primarily to important companies and organizations for a high price while their style chips are mass-marketed to civilians.

Viren civilization already had a NET established before they were destroyed. Earth was just beginning to build theirs when Ra Moon arrived. Ra Moon helped Edward and his son familiarize themselves with the concept of the NET and how to establish a company for as it grew. As the NET grew, so did a rise in security problems--and who better to understand the best online defense than a Navi who could traverse it freely and already had a intimate knowledge of an advanced reference?

After Edward died, Ra Moon was passed to his son. Then Ra Moon was passed to his children. Ra Moon was responsible for training all upcoming heirs in the family business. Because of this, he had been treated extremely well by the family, up until Rosetta.

Some bullet-pointed info I have about her:

Rosetta does not believe Navis are people.

Rosetta “inherited” Ra Moon from her mother (Calliope)  

Rosetta had multiple firewalls and limiters installed on Ra Moon’s P.E.T. to prevent him from ‘wandering’.

Rosetta is not talented in electronics; she very heavily relied on Ra Moon’s aid, although either not realizing it half the time, or just refusing to admit it. She’d often make her kids (Victor, Carson, and Minx) fix electronic issues for her half the time, calling it ‘practice’.

Rosetta does not believe Navi's are people: She hated that she couldn't control Ra Moon unlike a normal Navi; like all Viren Navis, he could traverse between the NET and the real world freely via 'plug in' ports. She knew his weaknesses after so much time had passed, and she absolutely used that against him. He cannot enter the real world without accessing a plug-in port, and he could never access a plug-in port if the P.E.T. he was on was literally incapable of connecting to one.

Ra Moon was forced into a compromise: comply with Rosetta, or get locked in a drawer. He cracked after a week, but Rosetta literally forgot he was in there for a month. Calliope was pissed, but had no idea how to fix what her daughter had done, especially since she was so distant physically.

Eventually, Rosetta gave Ra Moon to her eldest son, Victor (23). Victor died, and Carson received him instead. Carson (12) then gave Ra Moon to Minx (8).

One of the first things Minx and Ra Moon bonded over was their fear of Rosetta.

My friend compared Sunstar to Captain Holt from Brooklyn 99 and proceeded to send me several clips of him which cracked me UP. But basically, Sunstar’s characteristics:

Stoic

Does not use contractions

Ex: Will say “You are making a mistake” instead of “You’re making a mistake”

Witty and petty as hell

Ex: “Rosetta. You’re looking aged.”

Ex: “Ah, you. I was wondering why all the birds stopped singing.”

The Runes on Sunstar’s mask were added for me to flex the Viren language a little. Unfortunately, I couldn’t think of a solid meaning I wanted to give them that didn't sound cringe or edge-lordy. Still can’t, honestly. The most solid Idea I had was for it to read as “Sungod” in Viren, but eh. I’m probably going to change it to Ra Moon’s eye symbol, since that would make more sense as it symbolizes Sunstar himself in Viren society, and definitely be plot-relevant. 

He started wearing the mask to hide his face after acquiring the 4th NEC in his body. By then, he was a husk of his former self–and the more powerful he grew, the more Virens started to view him as a monster. Adopting a mask followed his (corrupted) mentality of “Who am I to disappoint them?”

Genuinely and desperately ask for Crunchy Chip cookie x male reader! Crunchy Chip always puts up a front of not wanting/caring for sweet stuff but deep down loves it. Imagine him like that but with people, he acts tough around others but completely melts when he's around reader. Thank you for existing and doing the Lord's work 🙏 lmao

[Crunchy Chip x Male Reader]

I haven't written or posted that much yet, but thank you!! It's an honour <3

Crunchy Chip Cookie works diligently to keep up his image as a hardened warrior. But like the sweets he pretends to despise, he can barely hide his feelings around you, Y/N Cookie. If he had a tail, it would be wagging whenever he sees you! He can't help it!

Around others, he acts like his usual prideful self, but as soon as he spots you, he gets quiet and flustered. Crunchy Chip believes he's good at concealing his feelings for you, but it's apparent to everyone what's really going on. Even if you're the oblivious type, you'll eventually notice because it's so obvious. Crunchy Chip isn't exactly subtle. But this only makes him all the more charming!

If you pretend you haven't caught on to his feelings yet, and decide to start teasing him, it will make him melt. He tries hard to deny the intense feelings you "inflict" on him, how his heart pounds when you get a little too close to him and tease him, and how you have all but taken over his thoughts. He constantly scolds himself for how mushy he's acting! You have turned him into a lovestruck puppy and he hates it. Acting this way is unbecoming of a great Dark Cacao warrior! Yet… ask a favour of him or call for him and he will run to you without hesitation.

If you're waiting for Crunchy Chip Cookie to make the first move you will have to wait for a while, so you will probably have to take initiative on this one. But once you two do get together officially, expect to see his softer side much more often. He only does this in private and around you. No one else gets to see Crunchy Chip like this but you. <3

It's a little different in private. When you're alone with him, he relaxes a little bit, but not by much. His code of pride and rigorous discipline has been drilled into his head, so its a tough habit to break. If you gently remind him that he does deserve to relax a little and have care and softness, he will indulge somewhat guiltily. But he is still afraid of being "caught in the act," so his relaxation with you will be restrained. But afterwards, he will dream of it. Being in your arms, having you stroke his hair lovingly while he rests in your lap. Crunchy Chip will wake up in his tent amidst the snow on a frozen mountain and daydream about looking up at your handsome face and yearn to experience such tenderness and warmth again.

But don't try to bring up your affectionate sessions in public, Crunchy Chip will panic and try to play dumb and pretend that it didn't happen. It's not that he didn't enjoy being with you! Honestly, the guy is yearning and pining so hard he thinks he's physically ill.
