Turner 44d, Vintage omnidirectional dynamic microphone, and 33c crystal microphone. the 44 is more square, with a large cast grill, and the 33 is a round streamline shape, with a mesh grill
This microphone was sold with a dynamic or crystal cartage, and made a sort of pair with the type 33, which had a different style, but the same innards. eventually the crystal 44 and dynamic 33 were eliminated, cementing the 44 the nicer (and more expensive) of the pair.
I love the retro-future look on these things, I always think the 44 looks like cylon
These old omni dynamics's actually sound pretty good. The early cardiod mic's aren't very useful, but an omni mic is inherently more linear, so they tend to sound better.
I don't know what the crystal version sounded like, they used natural quartz crystals that became brittle when exposed to moisture, and I have never seen one working. However, other crystal microphones of this type are known for poor frequency response and distorted signal.

I thought about which follower from the video game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to join my character. Later, I found a small recording studio room. My uncle EC was recording a song in this room. Pencil Microphone
A “pencil microphone” is not a specific type or model of microphone; rather, it’s a term that is sometimes used informally to describe a particular form factor or shape of a microphone. The name comes from the fact that these microphones are typically long and cylindrical, resembling a pencil in shape. In professional audio and recording contexts, these pencil microphones are often…
