So many plotpoints I just don't understand in this arc. Why have bkg die? Why have him fight afo? Why have izuku lose his arms? What purpose has any of it served???? At all???????

Todorki and ochakos fights were handled so well and streamlined and benefited their characters and arcs but bkgs and dekus have been a mess all bcus hori is a coward who won't just let them fight together bcus ig save to win and win to save meant nothing at all

Why have bkg die?

I think it's pretty clear from the way that whole thing was framed that the purpose of Katsuki dying was symbolic. This is a staple of Japanese drama running all the way back to kabuki. It is a trope for a main character to die to shed their mortal incarnation and come back to life as their deified form. Katsuki's death runs perfectly parallel to Tomura's from the PLW arc right down to the part where they are both responsible for their own resurrections. It's probably one of the best cases I can think of where a character's death actually did further that same character's arc without fridging them for the sake of someone else.

Why have [Katsuki] fight AFO?

Because AFO was set up as a "what if" scenario or cautionary tale for Katsuki, the other side to his "villains and heroes are two sides of the same coin" storyline. AFO in his physical form has a different character arc and story utility from AFO the quirk vestige. He provided a lot of backstory that allows us to infer the subtlety of how Katsuki is likely some sort of reincarnation of Kudou, the mechanics of which we will never need to revisit because they're unimportant. It was about karma and personal growth. It was about showcasing how Katsuki is an heir to many legacies, All Might's included.

Why have Izuku lose his arms?

Again, it's symbolic. It's been foreshadowed pretty heavily that Izuku would risk losing his arms in reaching out to save someone. This was a demonstration of his willingness to take on that risk. It also provides a moment for Eri to get in on the "everyone contributes a little bit to the fight" action all the other characters have been allowed to have. We don't even know yet what state Izuku will actually be in when this is all over, so it'd be premature to jump to any major conclusions about all of this. The story may still have a lot to say about this.

What purpose has any of it served???? At all???????

OMG I just realized.... Crowley's always the one telling Aziraphale that he shouldn't trust Heaven and that he's naïve for not seeing how bad they are, etc. but in the s2 opening scene it's the exact opposite! Crowley's not trying to be rebellious, he just wants to ask a few harmless questions and the reason he feels like he can do that is because he TRUSTS that God won't hurt him. He actually starts out believing in the goodness of God more than Aziraphale does, and Aziraphale is the realist telling him to stay away from Her so he doesn't get himself into trouble. Crowley was actually more innocent than any of them, and the betrayal of being cast out just for wanting to help make things better traumatized him so much that now he can't ever trust anyone again.

i could just imagine toji going back to that port they used to go to in yokohama, a year after the mc’s death. he does everything he wanted to do with the mc when he still believed she’d get better: he’ll stroll down that boardwalk, he’ll buy two ice cream sandwiches (one for him, and one for you), he’ll ride the ferris wheel because the harbor recently opened a small amusement park, and he’ll watch the open sea wondering if you were right there next to him in spirit as the car reaches the top.

of course, he’ll take lots of pictures. that’s what you would have wanted, after all.

and by day’s end, toji will retrieve your ashes from the car and he’ll sit on the edge of the harbor’s boardwalk, your urn next to him as he tells you what he’s been up to this past year — how he went to your second honeymoon alone, the one you never got to go to, because you would have wanted that for him, how he kept everything in your home the way it is, how he took in that stray cat he always used to catch you feeding even when you were wheelchair-ridden as you neared the end of your life — he tells you everything, picturing your head thrown back in joyful laughter when he forces himself to crack jokes every now and then.

as the last sliver of daylight appears on the horizon, he knows it’s time, so he picks up your urn, sliding the lid open. he takes a deep breath then he ultimately casts your ashes into the sea as per your final wishes. he tearfully watches the wind pick up what remains of the love of his life, the same breeze gently settling you down onto your bed of sapphire waves.

Soooo i’ve been wondering abt this for the longest time since i read I Give Up😅but only now i want to ask the question. I hope u dont get offended or angry or anything because i genuinely felt curious. Why the story has sooo many rated chapters?😂 like why they had so much sex? LOLOL it’s been 6-7 years dood!

Anyway it was because back then this was a smut blog and I didn’t know what else to write😂😂😂 I didn’t know what people wanted to even read. that story was at the beginning of the blog but it was also like one of the first things I’d written, I genuinely thought that’s what the readers were coming for. It wasn’t until I started making them cry that I realized they liked feeling all of the emotions not just the spicy ones.

Also it was a new relationship. Y’all ever been in a brand new relationship? It’s nonstop sex like absolutely nonstop it’s wild. I HAVE honestly considered going in and removing some of the early chapters but 1. I am very lazy with these things and 2. It’s a brand new relationship with two people who are very into each other and very sexually compatible, so it REALLY, really is like this.

So in the end I just couldn’t be bothered to change anything. I recommend reading from chapter 11 and on🤌 that’s when I found myself more as a writer.

2. How do you feel about non-canon couples (like Emorie, Azris, Lucien/Vassa/Jurian, etc.) aside from Gwynlain? Are there any non-canon ships you really like? Any you’d rather not see if there are other characters featured in the fic/background? Would you rather I stay away from non-canon relationships?

Hi Santa!! How have you been?!

1. I don't mind a Christmas setting at all. It would be fun considering the timing. But I also don't mind another setting. So no preference. Also, I don't think it's possible for me to DESPISE any gift you decide to make 😊

2. I have absolutely no problem with other non-canon couples. I love the fact that people can ship whoever they want, if for no other reason than they appreciate the characters and it's fun. I love the ones you mention as examples. Although I can't separate Jurian and Vassa 😂 I can enjoy Lucien/Jurian/Vassa together but not Lucien and Vassa on their own. I also like Neris, Azriel/Lucien (Although I adore the aesthetic of Azris, I think Azriel/Lucien is a really interesting one too. Mostly because i imagine it to be a little awkward and fun lol), where was I? Oh right the list... Tamcien, and even others that involve Gwyn and Elain, etc etc.

I'd say some that I don't really vibe with is elriel. And also Azriel/Cassian or generally the bat boys as "ships". I also don't ship Mor with neither of the bat boys. The reason being i think of them so much as a family (I adore the found family trope btw) to consider their potential as lovers.

I think that's it 🤔 If you wish to include other characters or ships then please go ahead and do so. I'm sure it will be fun either way.
