#Steven and Sophie fusion

Not necessarily an update, but sorta. I’m currently slowly reworking on everything. Barely anything from before now is going to be canon to this AU because I’m wanting to completely start over, but idk if I’ll actually go through and delete old posts. Just know that anything with old Sophie art (her design before this) is no longer canon unless I state otherwise. I will be keeping the idea of Rose and Steven coexisting (aka Steven has his own gem) but they will be still sharing powers (with some of his own) because Steven was created using Rose’s essence (it’s complicated but makes sense in my head). I’ll be figuring out other things that’ll still end up canon in this AU, but it’ll take some time since I’m doing this for the fun of it (despite not being hyperfixated on SU at the moment). I’ll also be working on an actual timeline unlike before since I’m planning on setting this after the events of SU, but nothing is confirmed yet. Especially since I’ll have to be figuring out how everything happens now that Rose/Pink is still alive (which is more work for me, but I wanted to have Sophie kinda bond with Rose and Rose seeing that she really wasn’t the only diamond to see how flawed gem society really is/was or something along those lines).

As a sign that I am still alive and working on things (albeit slowly) here’s some art I’ve made related/for this AU. Basically the only confirmed designs for this AU.

Firstly, we have Sadie’s performance design as 80die. This is confirmation that 80die will still exist in this universe because I really just love the idea. Her design is more inspired by actual outfits female artists in the 80s wore (a mix of pop & rock). Also the star earrings are a nod to Greg’s star shirts since he is her manager.

Secondly, I have finally given a design to Purple Diamond’s disguised form as an amethyst. I kept a bit of Amy’s original design (light purple hair with a dark purple streak), but mostly completely changed her look. I kinda did a slight color shift with her design like Rose and I kinda (unintentionally) designed her skirt to be a bit similar to bottom of Rose’s dress. Though I did look at a ref of CG!Amethyst to kinda have her look similar yet still different since she’s just a diamond pretending to be an amethyst. Also the hearts in her design is actually a callback to the original concept I had for Purple Diamond’s symbol when after her rebellion (since stars is kinda the Crystal Gems thing). Though I think the only time I’ve ever shown anything related to the original concept for Amy’s group of gems (which mostly consisted of 2 or 3 other gems) is in Sophie’s earliest concept design, which is somewhere on my main account.

Lastly, I designed a fusion between Steven and Sophie. This is mostly the design of what their fist time fusing would look like. It’s heavily inspired by Stevonnie (for reasons I will not explain yet). Their fusion is called Stevie and their pronouns are They/Them. I don’t have much on their personality or really anything other than their design. However, I can say that both were surprised and excited to be able to fuse. (Also it’s really the first drawing I’ve ever made that actually has toes since I tend to avoid drawing them lol)

So yeah. A lil update and some art. You can send in asks for any questions based on what could possibly change or what ideas I have for this AU or even my thoughts on Sophie in other AUs. However, I may end up being vague with some answers for this AU since I’m still figuring things out and working on the timeline, but I’m fine with answering any questions for this AU. I may not be very active here (I’m more active on @artistically-unique-girl or @artsartblog since their my main account/blogs) but I still see things and check up here every once in awhile since I’m not trying to burn myself out over this (like I did before) and actually figure things out before just throwing out too many ideas at once. So feel free to leave any questions or thoughts you may have about this AU as I’m working on it (some things could spark new ideas for how this AU will be) or just questions or my thoughts on Sophie in other AUs because I have fun thinking about how Sophie would be/exist in other AUs. I got bored earlier and decided I wanted to draw a fusion so I decided to make a redesign of WD!Steven from @ask-whitepearl-and-steven and Sophie's fusion that I did three years ago (literally made the original drawing, not featured here, in 2020). I will admit that I haven't kept up with the au Chekhov has made, but that's okay because I know their au is amazing as it's been since I originally followed years ago. Anyways, here's Stevie (as I'm calling all Sophie and Steven fusions) in their new form.

So I did use Chekhov's rose design that was used on the Crystal Gems back when I still really kept up with the au (not quite sure if it's still apart of the CGs designs, but just roll with it lol), but that's because I just really like the simplification of a rose they made and I felt it fit Sophie since she's sort of a CG in my au but not officially. Honestly the outfit as a whole is based of the reference I used for the pose while also incorporating the original design of the fusion into the redesign. I call it a redesign because Sophie is/has been redesigned herself. Which is why the hair and eyes are different. Idk exactly why I gave them three eyes, but I just thought it felt right, but then again I do just enjoy mashing two different characters into one to create something entirely new lol.

I'd say that this version is probably more stable than the og version because it's just two dorks that form a giant sassy dork (all Stevens are dorks no matter the au to me lol). Plus the pose kinda gives the vibe of "older sibling that looks like an ass, but actually cares deeply about younger sibling" to me so they'd seem all cool and collected but really just a dork that is a bit sassy. (They're sorta like Garnet, but that wasn't intentional)

Uh... yeah. Hope you like them and just know this was all done purely for fun and just exists because of my love for drawing fusions. Also I wanted to redo their fusion anyways and decided that I'd do it while in the mood. So remember to have a good day and stay creative!

I'm new to your SU AU, who's Sophie and what is her origin story?

Well, Sophie is the child of a human and a diamond gem fusion. Their mother is a fusion between Red Diamond and Black Diamond. Sophie was born with two extra arms since their mother was a fusion, and also two Diamonds as well. Them, their father, and the gems live in Beach City where the Steven and the Crystal Gems live.

I created Sophie after being inspired by @steven-rainbow-quartz-universe. I decided to create my own OC who was the child of a fusion as well, except I made their mother a fusion between two Diamonds, and then Sophie was born.

Heyyyyy new UF AU time! This one has been thrown around a bit on here and on the UF Discord before but I figured it was finally time to draw fucking designs for the damn thing. So here we have what I like to call the Roseswap AU! The big main gist in this AU is that Gems are swapped around with various humans. I’ll go over each of those changes down below (keep in mind that p much all  of the “Gems” go by their human names in this AU (its a fun trend that Steven started), but their gem types will be in parenthesis. Same goes for the humans, with their human names first but the characters they actually are in UF canon in parenthesis: 

Steven (or Pink Quartz): Formerly Pink Diamond, former leader of the Crystal Gems, Rose’s father Dipper (or Pearl): Skilled in strategy and swordfighting, is hella gay for Steven Mabel (or Amethyst): Second youngest member of the Crystal Gems; rowdy, creative and free spirited Stanford (or Garnet): Fusion of Stan (Ruby) and Ford (Sapphire); made of brotherly love 

Prela Spears (Pearl): Intelligent 12 year old who’s a bit too curious and uptight for her own good Amy Whipper (Amethyst): Prela’s relatively new stepsister; a total mischief maker Rubella Garnett (Ruby): Amy’s great aunt who’s taking care of the girls for the summer; runs a gem in the middle of the woods that totally isn’t a front for some mysterious business... Sophie Garnett (Sapphire): Rubella’s ex wife who was estranged for her for years; they’re slowly starting to rekindle their relationship though

Rose Maheswaran: Daughter of Steven and Connie, youngest member of the Crystal Gems Greg DeMayo: A rather sheltered kid who seeks more adventure and freedom; is head over heels for Rose Connie Maheswaran: Rose’s mother and Steven’s partner; a responsible, but reasonable parent who’s supportive of her daughter’s endeavors  Brittany DePoint (Bismuth): A local rich girl who softens up after kindling a close bond with Perla Nellie Juvinate (Spinel): Town darling with some more sinister motives in mind Lucy Lasil (Lapis): A chill teen who works at Rubella’s gym Dottie Magnett (Peridot): A teen who also works at Rubella’s gym; absolute weeb Juniper (June) Helmetson (Jasper): A punk teen often seen as the town bully, especially in the eyes of the younger kids

Pacifica (or Bismuth): A long lost member of the Crystal Gems Soos (or Peridot): A recent recruit to the Crystal Gems; their tech specialist who can fix anything Gideon (or Spinel): A Gem who comes to earth seeking vengeance against Rose in particular for some unknown reason (also, a Gremlin) Robbie (or Jasper): A Gem renowned on Homeworld for being ruthless and cruel Wendy (or Lapis): A Gem the kids found and freed from a mirror, seeking freedom

So yeah this AU is a fun concept I went overboard with. Feel free to ask any questions you might have on it!

I’ve created another drink with the picrew drink maker. This one is in honor of Steven Universe Future’s final episode that aired one year ago. I call this drink "The Happy Rose".

Back at it again with the fusion art, but this time you get 3 in 1! The fusions are of Sophie with Steven and Nora from @twiniverse because I realized that I actually never made a fusion between them. So here you go!

Stevie is a fusion of Steven and Sopie, Sora is a fusion of Sophie and Nora, and Storphie/Soraven is a fusion of Steven, Nora and Sophie. The reason that there is two different names for the three gem fusion is because I couldn't think of a good fusion name between them. Though I guess I could just call them some kind of quartz (or just Quartz for fun), but honestly really doesn't matter. These were done for the fun of it anyways. I will say figuring out the hair for the three gem fusion was a bit difficult, but I eventually settled on this. Size accuracy is nonexistent, but I did try my best to show that with three gem fusion that the clothes of all three of them were smaller and didn't fit as well as they used to when separate.

Originally I was going to give the three gem fusion shoes, but ultimately decided not to. I thought about going back and taking the shoes away from the other two fusions, but I didn't feel like drawing more feet so I just kept them in shoes. I practically made it where the three gem fusion can't see because of the hair, but gave enough of a space to be able to see. Even though it's a very limited field of vision.

I don't really have much to say on these fusions since I just wanted to draw some fusions and used the Twiniverse as an excuse to do so since I hadn't done one before. So I hope you guys like it. As always hope you have a great day and remember to stay creative!

Hi Garnet, this is Sophie. Do you think the child of a gem should be treated based on who their mother is? My mother is the fusion of the two most powerful gems on Homeworld in my universe: Red Diamond and Black Diamond.

The Crystal Gems of my universe learned the truth. They found out who is my mother. They then told the Steven of my universe, who is the son of Rose Quartz, to stop hanging out with me.

Any advice on how I could get the you of my universe to trust me?

Garnet: I'm not sure how to take that. The red and black diamonds of our homeworld are in possession of the obsidian warrior. The only diamonds he doesn't have stored are blue pink white and yellow. Pink because she was shattered and the other 3 because he's been missing for 15,000 years

Alright, canon time is here, along with the true au part of the show. I'm going to be writing in a fanfiction chapter format but I'll have art of main scenes on request. Chapters will be up on tapas on Friday night and fanfic and tumblr on Saturday.

Frequently I will rewrite songs from episodes, but I'm not doing the theme song. There's too many names to fit in, so I'm not trying. I already have plans for rewriting or have rewritten, giant woman, stronger than you (made of love), and others. And will take requests closer to the requisite episode being posted.

This is going to be pinned and edited for FAQs as they come in.

Do the kids have access to their powers yet?

Most of them. Sophie can use her future vision, but only the singular version of Sapphire, she has learned to look more than once to see if a single choice will change it, but can't factor in multiple decisions and personalities, like Garnet. The kids can summon their weapons with relative ease but it can prove exhausting to all but page. They can access minor fusion powers when holding hands, like Garnet's electricity, but can't fuse yet. Their shape shifting ability is very limited, (think about cat fingers), but they can create light based clothing if needed. They are training on abilities with Garnet's videos, but are still learning, though they are getting the hang of what they know. Steven can use his floating powers, not fine tuned though, and can summon his shield and bubble, but they don't last the length he needs them to. Page is starting to get some control of her sand and cloud powers, and can now used her pearl for storage, and can summon her spear in any situation, but only uses it for combat. Robbie can heat things up but only with his fists and feet, and Sophie has control of her ice, but has to have an object to freeze.

Are we going to see ___ fusion?

There will be placeholder fusions in the right spot, and Stevonnie will still happen, and obviously Garnet, ish, but everyone else is somewhat up in the air. So, even though I have a general idea of what is happening, I don't know. I do have the first fusions up, and will be working on more soon.

Are you going to do crossovers?

Not with anything non Steven Universe. If I get permission I'll do crosses with other aus, and this is permission to use mine in crosses, just tag me. And I might do a crossover with canon at some point.

But seriously you direct the story, I'll have some unavoidable events happen in order, but the bulk of the storyline is going to be up to you, so tell me what to do next.
