tips on how to see the 3D image below the cut :)

a stereogram is a 2D image or pattern (a.k.a. a "magic eye" pattern) that can trick your brain into seeing a 3D image. to see the effect, you have to play with focus.

the easiest way to do it is to look at something far away (e.g. the other side of the room), then raise the image up in front of your eyes while keeping your eyes focused in the distance. then, try moving the image backwards and forwards until the 3D effect pops out. it's much easier to make it work on a small screen like a phone.

alternatively, if you have a VR headset, you should be able to see the 3D effect through that!

how it works: the stereogram consists of two very similar images. there are slight differences between the images which mimic the effect of seeing real life 3D objects from two slightly different angles with your left and right eyes. you should be "seeing double" when your eyes are unfocused - try to overlay the two sides of the image in your vision.

some people find that the 3D effect appears reversed, i.e. objects in foreground appear in the background and vice versa. if this is happening, try the version below.

And finally, Transform Element OP Leader (Optimus Prime), one of my recent favorite figures, out of the 1986 Transformers: the Movie. This is solid, well-built, well-engineered, and has the feel of a Fans Toys figure to me (though maybe less paint). It’s also the cleanest sculpt for Optimus yet, definitely besting Takara’s forthcoming version 3 Masterpiece (MP-44). The transformation has a few tricky moments (see Paik4Life’s video on YT for great tips), but I enjoy it a lot. This Matrix chamber is a thing of beauty, and he’s articulated enough to hold it open. His alt mode is the cleanest of any MP-scale Prime we’ve seen—in fact, the only one that completely hides his waist (with the exception of Toyworld’s Primorion, but that’s kind of a different Prime, based on Studio Ox).

Les enfants à la mer. Paris stéréo. Biarritz, le cerf-volant S.82-3667 par Peppin ANAGLYPHE Via Flickr : Assez floue cette stéréo, le photographe pris de court à du probablement courir pour cadrer les enfants et surtout le cerf-volant avant qu'il s’évade dans les hauteurs de Biarritz. Pas de pied photographique, un réglage au jugé... Au bout du compte, il s'en tire plutôt bien. Bougé légèrement la tête de droite à gauche pour voir le cerf-volant vous suivre… Si je peux comprendre l’intérêt financier de sortir douze ( 12 ! ) séries de douze épreuves sur « les jolies baigneuses », quatre séries sur « les enfants à la mer » et deux sur « bébé à la mer » je me demande qui a eu cette idée fumeuse chez « paris stéréo » et surtout qui étaient les clients ??
