So after a year of saying I thought Earthspark was one of the best transformers cartoons they'd ever made... nothing about what I've heard for season 2 makes me want to see it.

i wish we got to see the rescue bots interacting with the decepticons and being met with fear. but like the fear is from the decepticons tho
“what do you MEAN they still exist?! what do you MEAN THEY’RE ALL TRIPLE CHANGERS?! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEIR THIRD FORMS ARE DINOBOTS?!?!”
also the chaos that comes with the rescue bots having no sense of self preservation/awareness and being blunt as shit. like these guys are probably just as mean if not meaner (heatwave pls chill) than the decepticons. they bitch at each other more than any other team for sure, and they do it to everyone around them too.
knockout keeps getting roasted bc of his vanity. heatwave wont stop doing starscream’s voice perfectly and using it to mock him. chase just told megatron his ship is in terrible condition and does he even take care of it? boulder accidentally implied shockwave’s experiments are ridiculous. blades intentionally implied that right after tho so everyone forgot about boulder. soundwave is losing his shit bc how did he not detect these guys, they flew under his radar, lazerbeak no dont play with the firetruck he's crazy and so is the dog.
after everyone calms down a little the decepticons realize they really like these bots (especially bc starscream hates them) (heatwave please stop doing the voice its really good but still) and they start vibing. megs offers them some cocaine dark energon to snort look at. breakdown lobs with heatwave and loses his shit when he realizes this little guy is way better than him (he learns hw was a champion and loses it even more). blades tries to hang out with dreadwing but that guys really scares him so he ends up following the others around. chase tries to educate the vehicons on their workers rights (they mostly zone out because he kept talking for like three hours). boulder does upgrades on their ship and becomes friends with soundwave and shockwave for being chiller and smarter than the others (hes the wave whisperer or something).
optimus is understandably losing his mind at this new development (no, megatron, you cannot “borrow” the rescue bots for a few days. wha— NO you can’t have SHARED CUSTODY!) (he’s worried about his kids). this is how the other autobots learn about the rescue bots too. bumblebee can’t stand knockout’s constant references to him and blades (“we’re JUST FRIENDS knockout. don’t look at me like that”)

(230) We all know the only reason Starscream is still alive is that the Decepticons really can't afford to lose even a medium-competent commander. The good news for the Autobots is that he can be convinced to defect with very little fuel shed — he just has to be provided with a role befitting his grandeur and commensurate with his elevated importance, obviously.
In which Starscream negotiates his own defection contingent upon marriage to Optimus Prime. This has the effect of disproportionately enraging Megatron, for reasons that seem mysterious to Optimus Prime but are incredibly obvious to everyone else. (It's jealousy of one or both of them.)
This fic could go in many directions but I think it would be most fun to make it a twisty little OT3 get together adventure. Starscream is disgustingly smug, Megatron is jealous of them both (and pretending he's actually mad about the defection instead), and Optimus Prime, having a more or less adequately developed sense of empathy and not being a raging asshole, is very much the odd mech out.

I would love to see Yandere! TFP Arcee vs Yandere! TFP Airachnid
Sure! These two haven't had much attention :) First time writing both so I hope it came out fine. I found this fun to throw my thoughts down with! Not really proofread, pure raw brainrot again.
Yandere! TFP! Arcee vs Yandere! TFP! Airachnid
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic - Rivalry
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Cybertronian/Cybertronian and Cybertronian/Human pairing mentioned, Obsession, Stalking briefly mentioned, Overprotective behavior, Manipulation, Fear of loss, Dubious companionship with Arcee, Forced companionship with Airachnid, Torture mention, Kidnapping, Mention of past death/death in general, Paranoia, Sadism, Blood mention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the sake of this concept I'll be focusing on between an Autobot and human darling for the two.
Arcee and Airachnid are two characters that already have history together.
Airachnid has killed Arcee's first partner Tailgate and often taunts her about her second, Cliffjumper.
I want to say for this concept you're her partner.
You can be one of her closest Autobot partners after Cliffjumper or essentially replace Jack if you're a human?
Either way you're considered her third partner which already makes Arcee concerned about your safety.
I can see Arcee being a bit scared when it comes to taking you places.
The deaths of her previous partners often weigh her down.
Deep down she's nervous to lose you as an Autobot since she's already lost many she's close to.
If you're a human then she knows how fragile you are, which means it's easier to lose you.
She's mature and often tries to look out for you as a partner and guardian.
Arcee is already a bit obsessive about you before Airachnid even shows up.
She's the first to develop an obsession regardless on what her feelings are.
She's loyal and respects you, she fights either by your side or protects you.
When her obsession situates itself she begins to feel safe.
She used to be such a lone wolf buy begins to rely on you more.
She's great to be around, often being a big help to her team.
She's caring and is often found not too far from you.
Even when she grows used to you, deep down there's always that fear that she may lose you.
Her obsession is lowkey, often only following you on missions or to take you home.
Sometimes if you're a human she stays over just to make sure you won't be hurt the moment she takes her optics off you.
Arcee is manageable with her obsession, often just coming off as a protective Autobot and guardian.
Then Airachnid enters the picture.
The arrival of a big rival to Arcee certainly makes the obsession worse.
Arcee knows better than anyone what Airachnid can do.
After all, she killed her first partner.
The moment Arcee realizes how much danger you're in with being around her, she tries to solve the issue herself.
She tries to hide you if you're human and often has you go on missions with the others instead of her.
Arcee feels Airachnid will go after her, so she wants to disassociate from you until things are dealt with.
However... that may not work in this concept.
Regardless on if Airachnid knows you are with Arcee or not she may find you by chance.
Airachnid is capable of tracking even if you hide due to her multiple modes.
There's a good chance, even if Arcee doesn't want it to happen, she may find you.
Airachnid is a hunter and sadist.
Her intentions with you are much worse than Arcee.
Regardless of if you're an Autobot or human she wants to hunt you.
Maybe she plans to kill you at first until she realizes your connections to Arcee.
Then she figures she'll have more fun just capturing and maybe prodding are you a bit just to torment Arcee.
These two are different than the usual Autobot and Decepticon behavior.
Arcee is more protective because of her previous loss of partners.
She's also perfectly capable of putting someone "offline" if she feels it is needed.
She almost did it to Starscream before Bumblebee stopped her.
Airachnid is more sadistic than your average Decepticon I feel.
She has an affinity for torture and hunting and can be rather animalistic in how she treats others at times.
These two can be rather extreme compared to most others.
Arcee doesn't like the idea of murder but will if it's to keep you.
Arcee has a certain desperation with her darling due to her past, while Airachnid feeds on that weakness.
Both yanderes are capable of murder and Airachnid is capable of kidnapping.
As with most Autobot vs Decepticon pairings, Arcee would be trying to keep you out of harm while Airachnid tries to steal you.
Arcee would have trouble explaining the situation to you.
She fears even more if you wants to help confront Airachnid.
Arcee wants to keep you out of the way, often saying she'll take care of things on her own.
Arcee really does try her best to keep you out of the claws of her worst enemy.
She's can't do everything on her own, however.
Airachnid may just take you away eventually.
Honestly if such a thing happened then I feel Arcee would drop her morals to reclaim you.
She refuses to lose another partner.
Airachnid would be teasing when she has you, she's sadistic when she hunts and toys with you.
She tells you Arcee is nothing compared to her and you'll be forced to be the Insecticon's (?) prize.
She won't kill you as now she's a bit attached.
But she will leave her mark on you.
If you're an Autobot she may bite or scratch you.
If you're human she has to use more precision, cutting you to watch the strange red blood of humans flow out.
In a way you're degraded into being a pet, a plaything.
All for her.
Now she's hiding you from Arcee instead of the other way around.
When you're gone I can see Arcee trying to track you.
She swears she'll end things once and for all once she finds the damn spider.
Arcee may even try to fatally wound Airachnid if no one is with her.
To her it'll just be "squashing a bug".
Who cares if some Energon is on her hands?
Airachnid already doesn't mind tormenting and killing Arcee.
She'll even do it in front of you.
At some point these two will have a final confrontation.
It's best Arcee comes to take you home with help...
Or else only one of them is coming out of this to claim you alive.

Funky hcs, cybertronians purring when content or happy, or making small chirps to eachother when too lazy to use words (cliffjumper would do this)
Smoll sparkling instinctually climb on their parents backs like possums do, so imagine starscream with the jettwins clenched on his back sleeping while he's working.
Dreadwing easily get flustered if someone flirts with him.
Starscream thinks dreadwing is attractive, but would never say it even if you torture him lol
Prime finial move like cat ears
Soundwave probably has stray cats in his quarters
When it becomes too cold, cybertronians curl around eachother for warmth.
Sparklings have 4 stages in early years before becoming a youngling, bean, too smoll to move, only chirp and sleep and eat, waddly stage, they're still pudgy but they're grown a bit, their optics open and they waddle to get to places, serval kitten, lanky limbs and unproportioned body structure, zoomes everywhere, uncoordinated as all hell, loud, and finally semi youngling, or a nibbling, where they start to walk on two legs intsead of four limbs, this is the stage were they become more talkative and have longer conversations.
Well since this isn't super specific, here are some additional headcanons of mine to go with this.
In relation to sparklings:
Newforged sparklings are practically animals. The youngest can hardly move most times, but frag it all when they really put their spark to it they can be terrifying and bolt on all fours.
Sparklings, when without a caretaker, travel in small packs. The youngest will magnetize themselves to the oldest and they roam wild until they develop higher processing abilities or are adopted.
Newforged sparklings have denta sharp enough to rival a scraplet and can and will bite when approached.
Sparklings have a natural desire to seek out civilization through special code and find said civilization via a special set of sensors that allow them to detect spark signature density.
They lose these sensors as they age, often signifying the activation their higher cognitive functions. However if left stranded once these sensors are lost, the sparkling in question will turn out to be more wild in response to lack of exposure to other mecha.
Sparklings have zero preferences when it comes to fuel and will devour anything with even a hint of energon in it. This includes but is not limited to dirt, bugs, small-mechanimals, any energon powered tools, and even energon crystals five times their size.
Sparklings can unhinge their jaws slightly to devour larger energon portions. This can lead them to get things stuck halfway down their intake after a failed attempt to eat it.
Sparklings choose their own caretakers when left to their own devices. These chosen caretakers often end up doing better in raising their charges than those not selected personally, but this is not always the case.
It is incredibly rare for two sparklings to choose the same caretaker and get along because most refuse to tolerate a sibling who is in their minds, competition for scarce resources.
Sparklings are slow to bond to their caretaker but surprisingly possessive even before a bond is established.
Sparklings are known to fight over potential caretakers when there are not enough or two or more take an interest in the same one.
Once bonded to their caretaker, sparklings will make their claim clear to any others they see, often hissing, chirping, or otherwise making a racket to prove that the mech they chose is theirs.
Grounder sparklings will magnetize themselves to their caretaker's back so they can still see what is going on, fliers will hang off the shoulder, minicons prefer hiding in their caretaker when possible, and triplechangers/beastformers are more fond of hanging onto an arm or leg.
Sparklings shed armor as they grow and develop new plating as they age. They start off fairly smooth and round but gain more sharp edges and defining features with time. Wings and other such kibble grow in right before younglinghood.
In relation to Cybertronian Habits:
Cybertronians are not a very touchy race. They do not physically touch one another often because they have EM fields to make up for body language.
Touching is considered a very intimate thing when not in a professional setting. It is only done between those who trust one another or are familiar enough to be somewhat at ease.
Shoulder touches and small lingering interactions of similar variety are common among co-workers and friends.
Clasping arms or being particularly close is something found only among close friends, Amica bonded, or political allies.
Full blown hugs are something meant for family and family alone. It is a rare gift.
Touching helms is considered the highest form of intimacy and is reserved solely for Conjunx Endura or caretaker's and their sparklings. There are rare cases where it is seen between abused mecha bound together by trauma, but beyond that it is a sacred thing.
Caste, or rank determines how much a mech is allowed to express themselves.
Low caste mecha are expected to keep their helms low and be quiet, but are otherwise not forbidden from being more touchy and interactive.
Middle caste mecha are required to be chaste in all sorts of interaction. Their EM fields must be held close and their outward expression must be carefully controlled. Intimacy of any kind in public is frowned upon.
High caste mecha, depending on function are either required to show nothing or allows to express themselves however they see fit.
This bleeds into behavior in both Autobots and Decpeticons due to how deeply these stigmas were rooted.
When startled Cybertronians flare their plating to look bigger.
Most Cybertronians have built in tracking systems and will automatically track small lights like laser pointers when unfocused. This behavior has been largely trained out of the bots involved in the war, but it can still be seen when the bots are tired.
Even Optimus Prime can end up whipping around to track a small light when exhausted before he refocuses.
Cybertronians naturally do not speak but rather sing to communicate. Spoken language was introduced by the Quintessons but has since only been used in formal situations to show attention and understanding.
Cybertronians don't really get cold. Their sparks keep their internals somewhat warm, but when they do end up reaching an environment so cold it can reach their cores, they group together and connect via special cables to share heat.
When too hot, Cybertronians can shed their outer layers of armor. More often than not they simply flare their plating and work their fans to cool down since it can take weeks if not months for shed plating to regro.
It is also healthy and normal for a Cybertronian to shed their plating after a few centuries of wear and tear so that fresh plating may grow in its place.
Shed plating is often eaten by the Cybertronian who lost it as a way to conserve resources.
There are even special recipes designed to make eating shed plating more palatable.
Cybertronians all have mandibles in their intakes which they use to process energon. They can extend their mandibles and the tubing attached to it if required, but it is uncomfortable for those no longer sparklings.
Mecha left alone in groups will form clans on instinct. The biggest among them automatically ends up activating more protective codes while the smaller become more sensitive to changes in the area.
After the Quintessons invasion, all Cybertronians forged from the Well are coded with an instinctual hatred toward the invaders and are all modeled to be best able to resist the invaders should they come again.
Random tidbits:
Optimus had sensory panels when he was still wild, ones that flared out from the sides of his helm much like insect antennae. They were far more sensitive then and have since been armored and largely hidden. He still brings them out on occasion though just so that he doesn't forget how to use them.
Arcee originally had a bright pink and white paintjob. She only changed it after the war began to inspire fear in her foes. She actually misses her old paint dearly but it too involved in her persona to drop it now.
Being from the early ages of Cybertron's history, Ratchet has a few modifications that no modern mecha possess. One such mod is his innate ability to operate with less energon. His frame was designed to retain energon and use it more efficiently, therefore making it less common for him to fuel as often as the others.
Bulkhead actually wanted to be an architect before the war but was denied entry into school because of his frame type and instead joined the wreckers after being rejected. In his free time he still comes up with building plans sometimes.
Bumblebee was known to have one of the most beautiful voices among Autobot troops before he was made mute. He could reach pitches that no others could and was even able to perform feats of song known to only be possible to those with mods or highly sensitive vocalizers. Losing his voice didn't hurt most because he couldn't speak, no, it hurt more because he could no longer sing.
Ultra Magnus received a frame upgrade sometime in his past that was highly experimental at the time. It made him larger, sturdier, and overall a force to be reckoned with. However he gets pains and phantom aches where old kibble used to be due to the relative newness of his mods at the time.
Wheeljack almost invented space bridges by accident before they were conceived by council scientists. He was trying to make a bomb that would tap into the void to create a mini black hole and instead made a small portal. He brushed it off as failed experiment at the time and didn't learn till long after that he had concocted space bridges before they were even a thing and didn't even know it.
Megatron has not shed his plating in over two millennia and continues to refuse to do so for various reasons he will not state despite the fact that his armor is old and getting rather frail at the base. He works around this by strengthening his armor with special salves and injections so that he need not shed it.
Starscream once had a far more appealing frame that he ended up getting changed during the war after receiving an injury that nearly shredded his entire outer armor. He never had much of an opportunity to change it back to how it was after that, but he does dearly miss his previous appearance even if he never says so.
Soundwave was once a very bulky mech and only slimmed down after he left the senate to try and emulate spark eaters in a rather quiet act of defiance toward his previous companions. He much prefers being seen as similar to the monsters of old instead of as an intimidating but ultimately fallible mech.
Shockwave sometimes has moments where the shadow play wears off long enough for his previous personality to make an appearance. It is very rare, but when it happens he is often kept locked away so he can't go running to Optimus who was once a friend back when he was Orion Pax.
Knockout used to be a flight frame and only lost his wings due to an accident. He pioneered the way to changing his alt-mode to fit in, but he still misses the skies and sometimes likes to stand on tall structures to feel the wind. He even likes to skydive if he is sure there is a landing place for him or some sort of security to keep him from falling to his death.
Breakdown actually once wished to work in sparkling care but was denied because of his alt-mode and frame type. The skills he picked up and the knowledge of sparklings he accumulated has largely found use with the Vehicons due to their relative youth. He tends to baby the Vehicons when he can and they appreciate it.
Dreadwing once had a duel to the death with a noble back when he was very young. He won, but got a nasty scar across his chassis in the process, one that never fully recovered and has since been covered. Skyquake got an engraving in the same place to match the scar so Dreadwing didn't feel so alone.
Arachnid almost joined Sentinel's science division as a researcher and only left at the last moment because of the threat of being shadow played.
The Vehicons play dead when it battle against Optimus. They have long learned that if they stay down after being hit Optimus won't kill them and they won't be punished since they were "hurt".

hiiii:> (for ask game) 💤🫂📓🌟 for Megatron and/or Optimus
💤 A headcanon about their sleep
Megatron used to sleep like the dead back in his mining days because he was constantly worked to exhaustion, but when he ended up in the fighting pits of Kaon he learned to sleep light because a sleeping gladiator was an easy target. Then Starscream existed, and, well.
Optimus, meanwhile, snores like a Peterbilt going uphill from how damaged his frame is constantly
🫂 A friendship headcanon
Megatron, for the vast majority of his life, only had one (1) friend at any given point in time. First it was Terminus, then it was Soundwave. In Earthspark, he hits the jackpot with two: Dorothy and Optimus.
Optimus in contrast went through life with a hundred acquaintances as well as a loving inner circle of close friends. The Belle of the Ball, as it were.
📓 A headcanon about their hobbies
Megatron is a massive bookworm. He has a secret collection of literature that he loves to lose himself in, and he also genuinely finds writing to be fun (barring the universal author woes, that is). He often guilts himself into staying within the realm of non-fiction, but he allows himself cheesy romance novels as a treat or comfort material.
Optimus is a big fan of human "ball game" and sports in general. He in general loves to play around with his human friends or play with his younger soldiers. In private, he loves watching telenovelas and cries over them regularly.
🌟 A headcanon about their desires/wishes
Megatron, throughout his entire life, has always sought absolute control over his own frame and his own destiny. This eventually extended into absolute control over others' frames and destinies, because to him that was the only way to keep himself (and others) safe. If he makes it to an era of rehabilitation/recovery — and forgive me for getting a bit kinky here — he likes to be submissive in berth to explore and toy with the idea of control, play with the illusion of being powerless while also holding all the power in a scene... so long as his partner is someone he trusts, and the act itself further develops that trust.
Optimus meanwhile used to desire a life of adventure and travel as Orion, but millions of years of war and the weight of the Matrix all but snuffed out his ornery adventure-protagonist streak, as well as his self-esteem. He finds meaning in doing acts of service, working to better communities, helping with projects, comforting mechs he sees struggling, etc. All he really wants is for every living being to be free, provided for, and happy. This comes at the cost of him forgetting/neglecting himself, even in berth.

Ello Emperor Kumquat! If it doesn’t spoil, I just wanted to ask…
Will there ever be a cure for Arachnid and all the Insecticons, or will we just have to end then all?
Will there ever be an option to kill other predacons if you’re super evil? (I can imagine a treacherous, Starscream-esque predacon getting on Predaking’s nerves in World Domination path)
Does Predaking get to go to school in any of these paths?
And, do you like writing evil paths or good paths more?
Your writing is amazing and thank you!
This will include some minor spoilers:
I am thinking of including a cure if any of the infected are captured, but I'm not set on a decision yet because I haven't gotten there.
Yes, evil Predaking in World Domination will try to kill Predacons who oppose him. There will be many Predacons at that point so he isn't bothered to lose a few. I was thinking a Predacon like Skystalker might be a problem to him (the ice Predacon).
I'm thinking of having Predaking attend some school classes, though he might not and keep working for now. But Skylynx will always go to school if he can.
I think I like to write evil paths more but the most interesting one to write was Reformed Predator because Predaking started off evil then became good, so that story had a lot of depth in its character development.
Thank you for your questions!

Hi! Do you remember the headcanons of the Autobots having a human charge they got to see grow up and start a family? And after several years back at Cybertron during rebuilding efforts, they come across that human’s descendants now that humanity reached a point they could travel the stars. Can we get a version but with the Decepticons?
The post this ask is referring to can be found here. I’m again going to ignore everything that happened in predacons rising, just because I can and the end of season three too actually. Megatron would have the same character development as in predacons rising though, if that makes sense. This ended up very  long for HCs, at least for me, but I do feel like this is in some ways better than the bot version
•They cons met you when you were a teenager and you just became a friend to them all
•They watched you grow and start a family of your own, and when they left to rebuild cybertron, your oldest kid was 13
•Years and years and years go by and many of the cybertronians who fled the war, have returned and the rebuilding is going in full force
•It takes a long time to get the planet back to its feet so to say, and one day there is a call on the comms, asking for permission to land on the planet
•This is of course regarded with quite a lot of hesitance, but Soundwave happens to hear the call and he thinks the voice sounds familiar, so he grants the vessel permission to doc
•Soundwave of course makes sure the other decepticons who were on earth at back then, hear about the humans who arrived
•So there is a bit of a welcoming committee greeting the space adventurers who’ve arrived and three human’s step out of the vessel in their space gear
•There are some curious onlookers too of course, but the humans don’t really seem all that scared
•Megatron is of course the first to ask what the might be doing on cybertron, he isn’t really interested in how the humans got there, but more of they why
•The oldest of the three, asks the cons if they recognize them, and as Knockout takes a closer look, he gasps in surprise and picks up the human
•”You’re (Name)’s child right?” he asks excitedly
•The humans answers in the affirmative and introduces the two others that are with him as his younger siblings
•Soundwave shows your picture on his visor with a question mark
•The trio looks at each other with rather somber faces, no one ever likes to break the news of someone else’s death
•The humans inform the decepticons that you have passed some years ago
•Pretty much all of the cons get a bit of an odd look on their faces, Knockout is most obviously upset
•Megatron never really took to your kids, so he doesn’t really care about them that much, because you were the only human he could ever really stand
•He’s of course saddened by the news, but he doesn’t really show it, he’s never been of the emotional sort, unless the emotion was anger
•Knockout is pretty spark broken, because he really wanted to see you again, and now he feels really bad for losing track of time so badly
•Starscream finally arrives too, and he’s of course immediately questioning, what the group of humans are doing there and who they are
•Megatron just bluntly states that these humans are your offspring which shuts up Starscream quite effectively
•After a moment of silence, Starscream of course ask “Well where is (Name)?”
•Knockout just states that you’ve passed away and Screamer starts bitterly muttering something about how humans live such a short time
•The trio of humans are told my Megatron that they’re free to stay as long as they please, but he has some business to attend to and has to leave
•One of your kids comments something about him never being the sentimental sort, which Megatron can’t really argue with
•The others, Starscream, Knockout and Soundwave stay and you share some stories
•They’re very interested in the end of your life and how you were in your twilight years
•The kids share stories about your older years, while the three cons tell them what you were like as a teenager and before your kids came along
•There’s a lot of laughter and some tears, but everyone is happy to talk about you
•Knockout is definitely the most nostalgic one, but Starscream isn’t very far behind
•They all miss you but it’s nice to share stories to deal with the grief

Wanna talk about the Tartarus AU?
SO
Sosososo
During a pivotal battle that, in tfem, the Pack would lose, in the Tartarus au they win (with consequences to both sides) they somehow their way into building a harsh regime on earth, taking the planet over and creating a Decepticon Homeworld like Steeljaw wanted.
He granted (most) of the members of his pack high ranking positions, and Starscream is our air commander as nobody can do it better than he can. The Bee team (plus some additions, such as decepticons who exactly disagree with Steeljaw, iicr?) have become the Genesis Movement, with Bumblebee as the leader. Optimus is MIA iicr. Cyberton doesn't know what to do, they're not sure how to move against the (developing surprisingly quickly for million year robots) new decepticon empire, I'm imagining they were hesitant to restart the war out and out (plus there's still the situation with Cyclonus's team and all, I bet, the council is still. Something alright.)
Some of the familiar ocs and fankid ocs appear in very different ways in this au, especially say Starlight as she's the heir to the throne (and, considering how even in the Good Au that is tfem she's a menace... Her evil genius would develop in interesting directions in this darker atmosphere) there's also a few ocs who aren't familiar until now
And so, the war we've come to recognize changes its faces like a Quintesson, shifting but never truly ending.
Also, there's Goldenbite because Goldenbite is eternal in any au with them in it sgdggdd

Have more random headcanons for my earthspark kobd summary fic ideas and speculations. Largely just throwing it out into the internet to feel productive lol. Specifically about the stunticons.
Starting with Dragstrip.
So my version of earthspark dragstrip is a girl. They made her a girl in animated and tbh I think the stunticons having at least one girl on the team is fun.
As in a number of versions Dragstrip is the most loyal to Motormaster and frequently acts to win his approval and at his behest.
Shes the youngest member of the stunticons just behind Breakdown.
She legitimately views the stunticons as her 'family' and the others as her brothers. She doesnt call Motormaster "dad" but the way she acts with him definitely casts him as a kinda fill in father figure for her that shes desperate to please.
Because Breakdown is closest to her in age shes arguably closer to him than she is with Wildrider and Deadend. Sadly the feeling isn't really fully mutual as Dragstrip method of 'joking around' with her 'bro' involves tearing him down with insults, getting physically rough with him, etc. She has genuinely never considered that her behavior has made Breakdown believes she hates him.
Dragstrip is largely like this because she was born/came to be literally right before the war got started. As in she had, maybe, a few years TOPS of "normal" protoform development before getting dragged into the war. The civil war, the decepticons, and being a part of the stunticons has literally been her entire life and once the war on earth was brought to an end she was largely left desiring a return to what had previously been 'normal' for her. Its notable that the state of things for decepticons on Earth hasn't really helped any as she hardly has any real options for learning what a life of peace would even mean as she was chased and eventually imprisoned.
When the stunticons were disbanded she was reassigned to a strike force working under starscream where she saw little success as none of the other members had any patience for her attitude. She was punished and sent to the brig for insubordination more than once before the end of the war.
DeadEnd
If Dragstrip and Breakdown are the "kids" of the stunticons, and Motormaster is their leader/boss/master/"dad" then Deadend is the depressed weary uncle with an art degree he hasn't been able to use.
I like to think Deadends depressive and pessimistic attitude is largely sourced from a rough lower class background in Kaon, millions of years of non-stop war, and especially his losing faith in the decepticon cause. For a time "the cause" was the only thing that gave him any hope of his life improving.
Ironically he probably gets on the best with Motormaster out of all the stunticons. Though that doesnt protect him from motormasters abuse.
He and Motormaster are probably the 'brains' of the outfit so to speak. With Deadend being the more strategic one who tends to help come up with the plans for the group. Hes not a strategic genius by a longshot but amongst the stunticons hes more or less defaulted as the most analytical member. Despite not holding a candle to any of the wars actual military minds.
Amongst the stunticons he probably spends most of the time with Wildrider. The two have little to nothing in common and in truth Deadend finds him irritating. However he still suffers his companionship because hes the only member of the team who isn't "the boss" (motormaster) or "some kid" (breakdown and dragstrip).
After the stunticons were disbanded he was reassigned to the Decepticons communications division under soundwave where he actually did pretty alright but the other decepticons quickly lost patience with his dower attitude.
Wildrider
Wildriders a difficult one to come up with headcanons for initially because his love of destruction and "busting stuff up" kinda comes off as a bit one note. I'm still giving it a shot.
I think like Deadend, Wildrider also one of many decepticons from Kaon. Though in his case i think I could easily say hes a former gladiator from Kaon much like Megatron was.
Gonna take this a bit farther and say that Wildrider and Deadend were some of the earlier decepticon recrutis. Joining up back when it was a class uprising.
I'd say wildriders over the top love for violence may come from his gladiator days and the fact that he feels his ability to inflict violence is the only real thing hes good at.
As mentioned amongst DeadEnds headcanons, Wildrider hangs out most with Deadend. For Wildrider this is largely due to their similar background and the fact that theyre the same age. The best way I can describe their relationship is as reluctant drinking buddies. Two guys who hang out purely because they can only really relate to each other.
Once the stunticons were disbanded he was sent to the front lines of the war during the most destructive battles. He loved it. 10/10. Would go again.
Motormaster
Lets face it. Motormaster acts just like a mob boss. Thats why, in my mind, Motormaster has a history as an organized criminal on Cybertron which is how he picked up his skills in finding peoples weaknesses (or as he calls them "levers")
His connections with Cybertrons criminal underbelly is probably why the decepticons recruited him. Or otherwise Motormaster joined the decepticons in the hopes that it'd get him more influence/power.
In "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" I AM kinda characterizing MM as the evil villain/abuser. Its not super nuanced and its tropey as hell I know but it makes the story easier to write. Its not like Motormaster CANT have a complicated history or a more sympathetic characterization, but i dont think this will be the fic for that.
As mentioned in another headcanon post of mine, Motormaster uses the idea of the stunticons being a "family" to control its members. Especially breakdown and dragstrip when they first joined up. He used his position as the "family head" to justify everything from bullying and bossing the stunticons around to invading their privacy and controlling various aspects of their lives. Something that was incredibly easy given their bond as a combiner team and his role as their commanding officer during the war.
The most sympathetic headcanon I can come up with for Motormaster at the moment is that, just like Soundwave and many of the other decepticons, he was genuinely very loyal to Megatron and his goals. (Though is it headcanon if you can find plenty of evidence for it in the canon). This previous loyalty is why he wants to reform Menasor specifically to defeat Megatron after Knock Out breaks him out of prison. Since he was in stasis for much of the time after the war, Megatrons perceived betrayal is still very much a fresh wound for Motormaster. In fact, chances are high that when Motormaster finally interacts with Megatron again he's going to be taken aback by how much Megatron isn't the Megatron he knew which is only going to strengthen his desire to kill him. Rationalizing it to himself as just a necessary afterthought after the man he knew already "died".
Motormaster did try to accept Megatrons orders for the stunticons to be disbanded. Out of respect for the man if nothing else. But flew into a rage after finding out Breakdown was reassigned to work under Knock Out, the one who had gotten the group disbanded in the first place. Accusing the medic of doing this exclusively tor rub rust in the wound (He was right) he deliberately tried to run Knock Out over in vehicle mode forcing Megatron to subdue him and have him put into stasis.
Breakdowns not here due to me having a lot of dedicated BDKO headcanons before this post.

Also thinking about roboobs :3
When Seekers and speedsters asked Primus where their pouches had gone, Primus replied, "You can't have any. You need to focus on s p e e d."
That's not actually how it happened, but it's a common enough joke on Cybertron.
It's also why Starscream discovered something very new and exciting about himself when the latch on Megatron's chestplate burst in the middle of a briefing, his pouches so full they glowed pink through the stretched thin mesh, after they developed a software glitch and started to refine enough energon to feed several litters' worth of sparklings.
All I can think about is those borderline-hentai fanservice moments in anime when the girl with like F-cups' shirt starts suddenly visibly shaking and then the buttons all go flying and suddenly BOOBS. That's all I can imagine for this. Everyone around the command table absolutely loses their minds 😂😂 whistling and hollering and visibly drooling, the whole nine yards. Megatron is angrily stuffing his pouches back away and barking at them to control themselves but tbh his threatening to kill them just makes it hotter

current Transformers OC reference masterpost! (these references have been made over the course of the last year, so there’s some style changes)
Tumblr media
Zephyr - the adoptive son of Ironhide, who’s got a penchant for taking in strays. Everyone is convinced he’s Bee’s kid, but no one talks about it. Scout who’s absolutely fascinated by the world around him. Has been taught a lot of bad habits by the twins, who were other foundlings of Ironhide. Is constantly trying to modify his visor to allow him access to things his visor shouldn’t have access to. Once dated an undercover Decepticon for like 3 months. His siblings won’t let him live it down. Has an electrical based outlier ability and can shock people through his hands and feet. The wiring on the side of his helm sparks when he’s frustrated.
Tumblr media
Oracle - the son of Ratchet and a special op’s bot named Savvy (who has since been offlined in duty). The pseudo little brother to the Protectobots and Aerialbots - he is incredibly close to First Aid, as he has played a large role in his training. Sparked medic, and damn good at his job. Primarily works as a field medic. Tries to act serious and professional but he’s really, really not good at it. Will turn his emergency lights on to piss bots off when they’ve scorned him. Often is getting hauled around like a toddler by his older brothers. Courting Blitz, to the disappointment of Ratchet (Oracle does not care)
Tumblr media
Blitz - Foundling of Bulkhead. Has also partially been raised by Wheeljack, as the two are close friends. Was also raised around the Autobots’ combiner teams, but the Aerialbots took much more of a shine to him due to his general attitude and behavior. Heavy hitter with a love for making pun jokes. Thinks the Wreckers are cool as all shit. Isn’t good with emotions, but will give hugs if you need them. he gives good hugs. Absolutely in love with Oracle, and thinks it’s hilarious that Ratchet is salty about them courting.
Tumblr media
Ranger - Son of Optimus Prime and Elita One. Youngest sibling of Arcee and Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime. His spark separated way too early, and as such many essential systems failed to online or develop properly. He cannot take energon by mouth, and must have it introduced to his system via tubing, as well as requiring a form of ‘pacemaker’ to keep his spark working properly. His ventilation system often needs recalibrating and working to keep them cooling him properly. Too sweet for his own good, and sees the good in everyone. This often gets him into trouble. Got stranded with Stormshot of the Alpha Trine once, and helped save his life - leading them to fall helplessly in love with one another. He bullies Oracle relentlessly due to how often he is in the medbay (but they’re very good friends)
Tumblr media
Nightlock - the oldest of the Alpha Trine and Megatron and Starscream’s sparklings. Was created as an attempt to combine the twos’ best qualities into a super soldier, but their seeker genetics caused the spark to split into the trine, spreading the traits among all three brothers. The golden child, and Megatron’s favorite. Keeps his mouth shut and does what he’s told. An absolute nightmare on the battlefield due to how adept he is at his job. Harsh and rough around the edges. 100% brainwashed by his sire. After his brothers left, he loses an optic to one of his sire’s fits, which frightens him into rethinking his entire life, enough to where he offers to become a double agent against Megatron. Changes his name to Nightwaker after the war
Tumblr media
Stormshot - The middle mech of the Alpha Trine and Megatron and Starscream’s sparklings. Created as an attempt to combine the twos’ best qualities into a super soldier, but their seeker genetics caused the spark to split into the trine, spreading the traits among the brothers. Typically forgotten about by his creators. The hard hitter of his brothers. Absolutely massive in both height and weight. Despite it, he’s not fond of violence, and if it is not necessary he will not engage. He wanted to be a dancer, had he not been sparked during the war. Almost killed Prime’s kid when they got stranded together out of fear of being taken prisoner by the autobots. When Ranger let him go, he would end up forming a friendship that later turned to love towards him. Defects from the Decepticons to the Autobots to be with Ranger after his sire threatened his life one too many times. Would do anything for his brothers.
Tumblr media
Crossfire - The youngest of the Alpha Trine and Megatron and Starscream’s sparklings. Created as an attempt to combine the twos’ best qualities into a super soldier, but their seeker genetics caused the spark to split into the trine, spreading the traits among the brothers. The scapegoat of the family. Has an outlier ability that affects his voice. The volume of his voice correlates to damage that can be done, almost akin to a sonic boom combined with directly damaging ones’ audials. He cannot shut it off, however, and wears an inhibitor device that will shock him if he raises his voice above an ‘acceptable level’ without being permitted by a higher ranked official, usually his creators. Speaks primarily in a whisper. Incredibly anxious, and suffers from panic attacks and severe self isolation. Defects to the Autobots after Stormshot does, when Megatron begins getting extremely violent with him and attempts to take his life. Has bouts of nonverbalism as a result of his trauma. Loves astronomy, and would like to learn medical skills, to save lives rather than take them. Small dude.

Transformers The Game for the Nintendo DS portable console was developed by Vicarious Visions for Activision, in conjunction with the 2007 live-action Transformers movie. It consists of two separate games: Transformers Autobots and Transformers Decepticons. The games have different storylines and environments, but the basic gameplay elements are shared between them.
Gameplay overview:
In both games, the player creates a character who can scan many different transforming forms. Each game features missions involving this character as well as missions focused on the movie cast. Unlike most versions of Transformers The Game, the DS version has multiplayer ability. The game features the AllSpark Wars online challenges, which allow the player to compete against other players for points to unlock more vehicle modes. Also, in both games, Bumblebee remains the rusty '70s Camaro throughout the game, yet his character art during the talking scenes depicts him with the chest based on the Concept Camaro, which he never scans in game.
Autobots:
This game revolves around the Autobots and their attempts at preventing the destruction of Earth and the resurrection of Lord Megatron, the former military leader of Cybertron. After the battle of Tyger Pax, Create-A-Bot arrives on Earth, landing in the Las Vegas casino strip. After a quick run-down with Ironhide, he teams up with his fellow Autobots to retrieve the All Spark, searching the quiet (and appropriately named) city of Tranquility, but later heading to the Hoover Dam and even going as far as the Arctic to find the frozen remains of Megatron. All the while, Create-A-Bot must learn what it truly means to be an Autobot.
Cast:
Create-A-Bot (Steve Blum)
Optimus Prime (Peter Cullen)
Bumblebee
Ironhide (Mark Ryan)
Ratchet (Fred Tatasciore)
Jazz (Andrew Kishino)
Missions:
Casino Strip
The New Arrival - Create-A-Bot arrives on Earth and is instructed by Ironhide on the basics.
Put It to the Test - The mission begins with your character being summoned to kill three Decepticons, after which the Create-A-Bot from Transformers Decepticons will come as a boss for this level.
Tranquility
Protect the Locals - Optimus Prime sends Create-A-Bot to kill a drone in a minute, before having to transform and hide from the police. After losing them, he must kill two drones without destroying anything else.
Car Shopping - Bumblebee arrives and tells Create-A-Bot to scan some vehicles. The last car transforms into a Decepticon.
Information Super Highway - Create-A-Bot must scan the internet through radio towers to find the glasses. No, it isn't about Sam Witwicky.
Police Brutality - Bumblebee goes to the suburbs and finds Barricade. He chases Barricade while being shot down by police cars. At the bridge, they battle.
The Arctic
Follow that Convoy - As a helicopter, Create-A-Bot must protect military convoys heading to Megatron.
Too Late - Ironhide protects 3 convoys being attacked by Decepticons, then searches for Megatron, but discovers the Decepticon leader has been moved. Afterwards, he steals a military computer.
Bad Reception - Create-A-Bot protects Ironhide as he goes to the radio tower.
Winter Showdown - Ironhide duels with Starscream at the radio tower. Starscream flies away to parts unknown, probably afraid of dying. He learned that strategy the hard way.
Tranquility 2nd Visit
Happy Landings - Bumblebee must destroy Sector Seven defenses so Optimus Prime can come to Earth.
Know Thy Enemy - Jazz must bring back three Sector Seven vehicles. The final one, a helicopter, turns out to be Blackout, whom Jazz must fight. It turns out that Sector Seven has both Megatron and the AllSpark, to Optimus' horror, who reluctantly decides to kill his former brother.
Driven to Distraction - Bumblebee must neutralize Sector Seven forces at various locations, distracting them so the Autobots can escape to Hoover Dam. Afterwards, Create-A-Bot accidentally leads more Sector Seven forces to Bumblebee when trying to help, and 'Bee ends up performing a kamikaze attack to let Create-A-Bot escape. Optimus decides to focus on the AllSpark and leave Bumblebee, which angers Ironhide, who claims Optimus doesn't care about the Autobots, only caring about killing Megatron.
Hoover Dam
In Through the Back Door - Jazz must go to the radio tower and uploads a virus. Afterwards, he must head to a computer terminal to download data on the facility and protect himself as it downloads. Ironhide apologizes to Optimus for his earlier outburst, which Optimus accepts. Jazz and Optimus note that the AllSpark seems to be favoring their luck.
Prison Break - Create-A-Bot is asked to destroy six satellite dishes and eight gun turrets and break into Hoover Dam. He frees Bumblebee afterward.
The Heist - Bumblebee must retrieve his weapons chip and the All Spark. Afterwards, he escapes the dam.
Clearing the Road - Optimus Prime must destroy Sector Seven roadblocks with Bumblebee in tow, after which he must fight Barricade and a Copter drone. Barricade dies, mentioning he was a diversion, then a cutscene plays in which Megatron finishes thawing and talks with the Decepticon Create-A-Bot.
Bombing Run - Overhearing Megatron's return, Ironhide must defuse bombs placed on the dam to prevent the loss of countless lives.
Interference - Optimus must duke it out and destroy Brawl.
Tranquility 3rd Visit
Narrow Escape - Bumblebee must escape Blackout while being under assault from Tranquility's police force.
Downtown Blackout - Atop a roof, Ratchet fights and destroys Blackout.
Fire Fighting - Create-A-Bot fights against drones with Ironhide, then heads to fight All Spark-created drones with Jazz and then finally goes to protect the All Spark and Bumblebee. Once they get the AllSpark to Optimus, Megatron appears and steals it from them. Optimus goes to confront Megatron for a final showdown.
End Game - Create-A-Bot must knock the All Spark out of Megatron's hands and slam it into Megatron's spark. Create-A-Bot is killed, and Optimus Prime must defeat Megatron. Upon the death of his brother, Optimus vows to honor Create-A-Bot's dying wish that Earth be the Autobots' new home.
Decepticons:
Similar in setting but unique in portrayal is the flip side of the story, Decepticons. Here, a nearly identical robot has come to Earth at the command of Starscream to find the source of a distress signal from a "lost" Decepticon somewhere in the area. However, Starscream keeps many important pieces of information to himself, including the location of the All Spark and the identity of the Transformer locked in the icy grip of the Arctic. While this Create-A-Bot has to learn that being a Decepticon means loyalty to Megatron, it also becomes apparent that though they fight for different reasons, the Autobots and Decepticons are aiming for the same goal, namely peace on Cybertron, and also that their senses of honor are not that far apart. This game is also unique in that the Arctic level is replaced with Qatar, and that this Create-A-Bot is almost immediately put into a position of authority, mainly because Starscream wants everyone dead.
Cast:
Create-A-Bot (Steve Blum)
Megatron (Frank Welker)
Starscream (Daniel Ross)
Barricade (Keith David)
Blackout (Noah Nelson)
Brawl (David Sobolov)
Missions:
Casino Strip
The Rookie - Create-A-Bot arrives on Earth, contacts Barricade and learns the basic controls.
Hazing - Create-A-Bot dukes it out with several Autobot Drones. Afterwards, the Autobot Create-A-Bot shows up.
Tranquility
Beware the Locals - Barricade proves to be a crap boss, ordering Create-A-Bot to destroy property to learn how the human police force will strike back.
Robots in Disguise - Create-A-Bot must scan/destroy several cars. The last one turns out to be an Autobot.
The Diversion - Seeking to gain Barricade's respect, Starscream advises Create-A-Bot to neutralize the police and cause more collateral property damage.
Stings Like a Bee - Barricade chases and battles Bumblebee, and sends Create-A-Bot to meet up with Brawl and Blackout in Qatar.
Qatar Military Base
Decoy - As a chopper, Create-A-Bot must destroy tanks, jets, and helicopters.
Blackout at Qatar - Blackout must destroy 5 satellites, then scan 4 buildings under two minutes, all while under extreme fire from human forces.
Leftovers - Brawl must stop convoys from getting to the town.
Ratchet Retaliation! - Create-A-Bot fights Ratchet and Autobot drones. Ratchet escapes, and is not seen again. Starscream confides in Create-A-Bot that the AllSpark is on Earth, as is Megatron.
Tranquility 2nd Visit
Torching the Welcome Wagon - Create-A-Bot must take out the city's defenses.
Codebreaker - Brawl must protect several generators from Sector Seven for Barricade.
Reinforcements - When Optimus Prime arrives on Earth, Create-A-Bot must destroy several protoform Autobots and then incapacitate Bumblebee. Create-A-Bot is also disturbed by the reason the Decepticons hate Starscream: he is a treacherous snake who would kill you in your sleep. The Decepticons roll out to Hoover Dam.
Hoover Dam
Communication Breakdown - Starscream rather aggressively warns Create-A-Bot to not let the Decepticons find Megatron or the AllSpark. Brawl must take out 3 satellites and then plant bombs along the dam. Afterward, he brings Barricade a tank to get some information.
Cover Your Six - Create-A-Bot reveals Megatron and the AllSpark's presence on Earth (though Barricade had already figured out Megatron was on Earth), gaining the other Decepticons' trust for making the "right choice". Barricade raids a Sector Seven base to find info on Megatron's location, and then discovers that the Autobots have allied themselves with Sector Seven.
Tag Team - Blackout carries Barricade to get into the base. Barricade then must find the control room.
Megatron's Return - Create-A-Bot must protect Megatron from Sector Seven and later Autobots as Megatron is revived.
Get the Chip - Blackout must obtain Megatron's weapon chip from fleeing Sector Seven convoys. Megatron then rallies his forces to Tranquility to recover the AllSpark from Bumblebee.
Ambush - Megatron takes out turrets and Autobot drones. Jazz comes and brawls with Megatron, but is killed.
Tranquility 3rd Visit
Street Brawl - Megatron orders the Decepticons to storm Tranquility for the AllSpark. Brawl must destroy Ironhide, but is never seen again.
Starscream's Betrayal - Starscream must chase down Bumblebee, after which he fights and kills him, retrieving the All Spark. Starscream then kills Blackout, and Barricade tries to fight against him. Too bad he also dies.
Sibling Rivalry - Starscream learns of Create-A-Bot's defection to Megatron, which does not go well with the Seeker. Create-A-Bot takes down 25 All Spark Drones. Then he chases Starscream, who sends 25 more drones. After chasing Starscream again, 5 Autobot drones show up and Starscream escapes while Create-A-Bot must destroy the drones. Meanwhile, Megatron duels his brother, Optimus Prime. Optimus is killed. Shockingly, he is not the last boss. Starscream challenges Megatron and his last soldier, Create-A-Bot, to battle in the Casino Strip.
Casino Strip 2nd Visit
Final Showdown - Create-A-Bot weakens Starscream, who drops the All Spark. Create-A-Bot then slams it on Starscream, mortally injuring himself but not wounding Starscream at all. Megatron chases down Starscream, battling him at three rotating positions all over the map. Starscream dies, and Megatron eats the not-quite-dead Create-A-Bot's spark, claiming that he and the other Decepticons were weak, and only served to "benefit the strong." Poor kid. The AllSpark gone, his troops killed, Megatron then flies off into the night.
Quotes:
note: Due to the two games taking place in their own separate continuities, we've elected to segregate the quotes to the respective game they first appeared in, to clear up any confusion. However, the following two quotes appear in both games, the former in particular is important to the story of both, despite their disparities.
"You Decepticons don't know when to quit. Time to teach you that the bad guys always lose."
"You Autobots are no better than we Decepticons. We might be on opposite sides, but we're both playing the same game."
—The two rookies discuss the theme of the games.
"Dispatch, we have a code... umm... what's the code for 'giant robot attack'?"
—A hapless human police officer.
Autobots:
(through the radio) "You can choose from dozens of vehicles! Act now, and you can drive out of here with no money down and no payments till next year! This deal is HUGE!!!"
—Bumblebee instructing the new recruit to scan some alt modes.
(text message) Because we can use the AllSpark to rebuild Cybertron. We would finally have a home again. No more roaming through space, no more searching.
"I've never seen Cybertron. I've always dreamed of seeing it one day."
(text message) You will... soon.
—Bumblebee reveals the gravity of the situation.
"What happened to Cybertron wasn't your fault, Optimus. It's Megatron's."
"No matter what Megatron did, I'm still partly responsible, Jazz. I could've prevented all of this from happening before it happened."
"By destroying your own brother?"
"Megatron may be my brother, but he is also the one who took the spark of our father... my friends... our world... I will do what I must."
—Optimus confides in Jazz his new resolve to end his war with Megatron.
"You young punk! This is war! Showing off is the kind of stuff that gets 'bots killed!"
"Ironhide is right. But we have a more urgent matter. We need to retrieve the AllSpark at all costs!"
"What?!? You mean we're just gonna leave Bumblebee?!?"
"Affirmative."
"You don't care about any of us, do you Prime? 'Protect the humans, get the AllSpark, Autobots preserve life!' All you care about is beating your brother!"
—Ironhide confronts Optimus over his priorities.
"Interesting that the only information you were able to obtain was a way in to rescue Bumblebee. That's rather... fortunate."
"The AllSpark works in mysterious ways, Optimus. Perhaps it felt it was time to get the gang back together."
—Optimus and Jazz discuss their recent turn of fortune.
(through the radio)"He breaks left... he breaks right... will he make it to the endzone?!?... I'm ready to go out there and give it 110%, all the way, BABY!!"
"Bumblebee, please. This is serious! Make your way to the AllSpark!"
—Optimus is clearly not a fan of American football.
"Don't take it out on me if you can't get along with your brother!"
—Barricade aims below Optimus' belt.
"You Decepticons just want to spread destruction anywhere you go. Destroying Cybertron wasn't enough for you?"
"It won't be enough until all you Autobots are melted into slag."
—Ratchet and Blackout face off.
"Optimus, if you destroy me, you’ll destroy the AllSpark as well. You will never bring back your precious Cybertron!"
"... I will do what I must."
—Optimus strips his eternal foe of his "eternal" status.
"Optimus... I see Cybertron. It's all around us... here on Earth. Make this our new home... the humans need us. We need them... protect them, and they will protect us..." (dies)
"Your name will remembered throughout the ages for the sacrifice you have made today. We will never forget... I will never forget."
—The rookie shares his final wish to Optimus.
"For now, the Decepticon legions are vanquished, and though we have sacrificed much, fate has yielded an unexpected reward: a new world to call home. We live among its people now, hiding in plain sight, until the day comes when we are needed again, to fight the forces that feed on chaos. I am Optimus Prime, and I send this message to all surviving Autobots taking refuge among the stars: you are not alone. We are here. We are waiting..."
—Optimus Prime's closing narration.
Decepticons:
"Wanna play 'catch the projectile'?"
—Brawl in a... well, brawl.
"Sector 7 captured Bumblebee... The Autobots have been trying to protect the humans. Why would the humans want to imprison a potential ally?"
"Because they're weak. Weakness breeds fear, and fear makes every ally an enemy. That's why we Decepticons don't tolerate weakness. If you'd been trained properly by someone like Megatron, instead of that weasel Starscream, you might understand that."
"Were you able to decipher the file?"
"Yeah. The "Ice Man" is located at the Sector 7 headquarters in a place called Hoover Dam. It's two mega-miles east of here."
"Starscream will want to know about this information."
"Starscream can blow it out his exhaust! Once we revive Megatron, we won't need to worry about Starscream anymore."
"What makes you think Megatron is so much better a ruler than Starscream?"
"Because you know where you stand with Megatron. Starscream is the type that would kill you in your sleep. Megatron would have the ball bearings to do it to your face. Now, let's move out."
—Barricade takes the rookie to school on Decepticon leadership.
"Remember, Brawl, the most important thing is to take out the communication satellites. Don't get sidetracked with taking on Sector 7."
"Gee. Blow up a bunch of stationary targets that won't fight back. How Exciting."
—Brawl finds his job lacking.
"Good job, Brawl. Now we can have some fun, finding out what this human knows."
"Oh, goodie! I love to play with new friends!"
(scene fades to black)
"Does it hurt?"
—It's probably best we don't see how Barricade and Brawl interrogate the human soldier.
"My Decepticon brothers, we are united once again. Today we dine on the sparks of all Autobots. Today I will reduce Starscream to a pile of scrap metal! Today we recover the AllSpark and show the universe what it means to be a Decepticon!"
—Megatron rallies his loyal Decepticons.
"Now... you see what it is... to be a Decepticon."
—Barricade has a final moment with the rookie.
"You are guilty of the one unforgivable crime: FAILURE!"
"I won't be the last, Megatron. Someone will always be there to challenge your leadership!"
"...Maybe. But they will suffer the same fate as you."
—Megatron can handle Starscream's treachery, but not his incompetence!
"We did it, Lord Megatron... But... Barricade... and the others..."
"If they were truly Decepticons, they would have survived. Weakness is a rust that must be stripped away... just like you."
"Wh-- What? But-- I helped save you--"
"Yes, but you are heavily damaged."
"But-- could be -- repaired --"
(Megatron kills Create-A-Con)
"A waste of resources. The weak only serve to benefit the strong."
—Megatron executes the rookie for his troubles. What a nice boss.
Reception:
Although still scoring fairly low, the two versions of the game got generally better reviews than their other counterparts. Autobots currently has a 67 on Metacritic, while Decepticons only has 66. Reviewers were turned off by the poor graphics and number of glitches when compared to the console versions, but praised the open-world gameplay and ability to transform at any time. Because, you know, this is a game about Transformers.

I’ve been meaning to send this request for a while now, but I let my desire for a seemingly nonexistent “perfect” moment get in the way. 😛
Anyway, your take on the Autobots’ names and their meanings is still one of my favorite posts of yours. I’ve come up with one or two meanings of my own for a couple of the characters, but I’m curious about what you think the meanings of the Decepticons’ names would/should be. :)
I've been meaning to get to this forever. Sorry this took me an eternity and a half to get around to writing for! Hope you like it!
Decepticons and their Names
Just like the Autobots, the Decepticons developed alternate names to keep their true names secret while still hinting at it. They didn't bother trying to appear more human or adjust their body language in any meaningful way. They simply never saw the need to comply with human naming conventions. However this does not mean that their true names aren't known to anyone.
Soundwave knows just about every bot's true name. It was part of procedure when it came to joining high command. A Decepticon couldn't rise through the ranks if they weren't willing to give Soundwave their true designation for security reasons. And while not the most well received of moves, it did end up keeping quite a few revolts from happening with the perpetrators true name on the line.
Soundwave however is not a mech who would abuse what power he has been given. As such, while he knows the names, he does not use them against the bot whom the designation belongs to unless absolutely necessary. Still there are times when he needs to reconfirm designations and he takes great care of them.
Megatron's true designation is long, a testament to his age and a show of his wisdom. His name has changed greatly over the millennia, but core features of it always remain even through every alteration. His name when translated into human language is roughly akin to [Resilient-Spark-Defiant-Fighter-Silver-Tongued-Truth-Speaker-Seeker-of-Change-Sword-of-Vengance]. It is as shortened a version of his designation that can be managed. If his whole name was written out, it would rival Optimus's in length. When spoken aloud his name sounds like a long forgotten chant, one whispering of times long gone all while the grinding of gears echoed quietly amidst it.
Shockwave's designation is an odd one that contradicts itself over and over again due to the changes he underwent on the Council's orders. Its almost painful to look at when written simply because of how unpleasant it is in its contradictions. His true designation is so unsettling to look at that Soundwave has put it away and refuses to even so much as glance at it until it comes time to check his files. The name comes out to be something along the lines of [Kind-Spark-Empty-Vessel-Hopeful-Light-Bringer-Endless-Void-of-Knowledge]. When spoke aloud it is both lovely to hear and painful for the audio receptors. It sounds like the humming of a spark within its chassis combined with the gentle whistle of wind, but is contradicted by the dull and toneless notes of steady clicking and grinding that nearly cancel the musical qualities out entirely.
Starscream's is surprisingly lovely and holds greater meaning than one would expect. Starscream was after all, not always a traitorous glitch fond of cowardly retreats and greed. Once, long ago Starscream was a noble leader for his people, doing everything in his power to protect them only to at some point lose himself along the way. His name comes out to be [Guardian-Star-Guiding-Beacon-Swift-Lord-of-the-Skies-Radiant-Jewel]. Starscream has always taken great pride in his true designation and has never once uttered it aloud, not for anyone. Even when giving his designation to Soundwave, he merely wrote it down and did not speak at all. However based on what can be gathered, if it was to be spoken aloud it would sound a great deal like the swaying of trees, the chiming of bells, and the constant thrum of a jet engine preparing for takeoff.
Knockout's designation is odd considering his personality, but Soundwave has always assumed that it is simply a matter of the medic having changed over his lifetime. However even with that in mind, there are still bits and pieces that apply to the persona Knockout presents. His designation translates into something similar to [True-Sighted-Spinner-of-Dreams-Faceted-Child-of-Visonaries-Bright-Sparked-Healer]. Perhaps his name spoke of an age where things were different for Knockout, a time where he was more hopeful, open, and friendly. But either way, when spoken aloud his name sounds like the distant trickling of raindrops on a tin sheet, the swaying of tall grass amid a storm, and the crackling of distant thunder all soothed by the gentle patter of stones down a hill.
Breakdown's name was by comparison far clearer and easier to see where it came from. His was straightforward, a perfect representation of his character and spoke of his true pureness of spark. His designation almost made Soundwave wonder just what the warrior was doing amid the Decepticon ranks. His name spoke of someone more suited toward the Autobot's ideals of purity, that with his name translating to mean [Warrior-for-Justice-Protector-of-the-Meek-Gentle-Giant-Comforter-Guardian-of-the-Vulnerable]. Even the sound of his name sounds like it should belong to an Autobot, that with it being like that of the quiet humming of a loving parent combined with the war chant of an army preparing to fight for their homeland.
Dreadwing's designation is one that Soundwave has no real opinion on but finds somewhat fascinating due to how it speaks of his character. It is fairly straightforward much like Breadown's, but like all true designations, it is special in its own unique way, even when translated to [Stoic-Watcher-of-Shifting-Tides-Bound-Protector-of-Spark-Shards-Enduring-Warrior]. Its spoken notes are much like the beating of hammers on an anvil accompanied why the bellows of a beast in the deep. However there is a soft undertone of wind rushing past rock, creating a gentle whistling sound. Overall a fascinating mix of sounds and meanings, but not too noteworthy in Soundwave's book.
Then there is Soundwave's name, the one he has not shared with anyone, not even Megatron. His true designation is something he has kept to himself simply because... he hardly remembers it. A true designation should be something a bot always remembers, but with what Soundwave was forged to do, only bits and pieces have stuck over the millennia. It is something that pains him. He wishes he could remember it all, but as he can't he has filled in his name as best as he can using what he does recall, earning him the translated name [Silent-Keeper-of-Knowledge-Custodian-of-the-Dark-in-All-Tireless-Watcher-of-Eternity]. He has not said it aloud, but he guesses that if it was, it would sound a great deal like the near silent murmurings of mecha long dead and the gentle swaying of all sorts of structures. His name would hardly even be capable of being heard if not for the quiet din of a stone falling into water that would echo quietly should his name be said out loud.
So many names, so many meanings, and Soundwave keep them all dutifully.

History
Forever in draft mode as I doubt I’ll have the time to polish this out.
Past:
████(1) was created in Kaon with no proper name given, no alt mode, and no purpose in life other than to work for her/their(2) creators. They owned a company mainly for service work and sold their creations for people to use at their will. The business was booming even when they were accused of things here and there, but they used their own creations as scapegoats, throwing them under the bus and deeming them a ‘malfunction’ on their part.
████ happened to be one of the unfortunate ones.
Never being taught how to defend or speak for her/themselves made her/them an easy target in prison, but life there wasn’t any different from home so she/they just learned to accept it. However, things begin to turn around for the better once she/they gets a new cellmate, Onslaught(3).
For months Onslaught teaches her/them everything she/they need to know to survive living in a world like Cybertron and talked about their past and how they got here. Turns out Onslaught was sent here by his creators as well, so both of them felt the need for revenge.
They manage to give a guard the slip, free a bunch of other prisoners and take every weapon they could get their hands on. Onslaught gave ████ a gun and told her/them to pull the trigger and without hesitation she/they did. Making her/them develop a thirst for blood and proceeded to follow Onslaught’s lead to escape the prison.
Once free, she/they continue to stay alongside Onslaught as he hunts down and kills his creators, then urges ████ to do the same which she/they do without a second thought. After, Onslaught helped hide/scrub any records(4) of ████’s previous life and offered to give her/them a new start. Not having anyone else in her/their life, and feeling as though she/they owed Onslaught everything she/they agree and vows to stay at his side until the end of time.
████ gets a new look, pronouns, upgrades to feel like himself along with a new name.
Vortex.
----------
1 - I do not have a set name for when Vortex was originally created, so until then, it’s blanked out.
2 - His creators used she/they pronouns for him. Therefore, in a way, he is trans. (Since IDW never used those labels he doesn't call himself that.)
3 - This only goes for any Onslaught blogs. You don’t have to follow my backstory considering this is more so my lore for Vortex and how he met Ons.
4 - This stuff is either redacted/destroyed/ or impossible to find. Unless we’ve discussed it, no one is allowed to bring any of Vortex’s past to the surface.
----------
Before/during the war:
Vortex learns to fight. Starts taking classes about the Cybertonian body, (or as he likes to call it ‘torture school’) and begins doing the dirty jobs that no one else wants to do. He eventually meets Brawl, Blast Off and Swindle and after completing many jobs as pairs or groups for Onslaught he decides to create a team. The Combaticons.
For a long time, they work, hang out and do illegal things together. Their main goal was to get a ship and see what the universe had to offer but unfortunately, the war began to stir up.
They all stayed neutral for as long as they could, though eventually sided with the Decepticons due to their criminal ways. Except Onslaught wasn’t too big on Megatron’s plans for ruling and tried to do things his own way with the Combaticons, only to be targeted as traitors. They get captured but Megatron spared them from getting executed and instead had their personality components removed, frames destroyed, and thrown into the Decepticon Detention Center.
Spending far too long in ‘the box’ Vortex does lose a lot of his sanity having no one to talk to besides himself and develops a claustrophobia fear.
----------
(Before going to the next parts, I do combine G1 and IDW, but season 3 of G1 is omitted and instead All Hail Megatron (IDW) happens to start off the IDW timeline.)
----------
G1 Events:
- Starscream steals the components and brings the Combaticons back online with Earth military vehicles.
- They follow Screamer to a certain point before betraying him and attempting to take out both the Bot’s and Con’s by sending Earth on a one-way trip to the sun. They discover that they have become a combiner team and transform into Bruticus to destroy everyone.
- They fail, and Megatron pretends to have them destroyed in front of the Bot’s only to install the loyalty program into them to avoid any future betrayal.
- The (G1) B.O.T episode itself did not happen, but Swindle did sell out the other Combaticons which created some trust issues. They did manage to work things out, eventually.
----------
IDW Events:
- After Megatron’s defeat in AHM the Combaticons were left stranded on Earth (along with other Cons).
- Swindle left to do some wheeling and dealing on both sides, Blast Off stayed in space to oversee everything from above as Vortex, Ons, and Brawl stayed in North Korea to work for the leader.
- They get captured (regroup with Swindle and Blast Off) and end up back on Cybertron. Where the war is claimed to be finally over. Somewhere along the way, they lose/ or get rid of the loyalty program from Megatron.
Due to the Combaticons not getting any sort of happy endings, I have veered away from Combiner Wars and TAAO. Instead, they continued doing what they did in the past before the war happened. Keeping away from whatever madness occurs and avoiding the law.
