We were having some moral dilemmas at work today, and after sulking about it to my 23yo lead, who doesn’t watch /any/ Star Wars btw, looks at me and goes:

“Good soldiers follow orders.”

i think possibly my favorite anakinism and one i think about a rather unhealthy amount is his body language and how he almost always looks viscerally uncomfortable and vaguely like a child who is scared of getting slapped. even when he’s being confrontational he looks sooo defensive like wow girl you have never fully processed anything that’s happened to you and you will carry the weight of it forever

The scene where Qimir says to Osha, "You should learn to trust yourself," made my jaw drop.

So often in books/movies/tv shows the love interest says some variant of, "Trust me," and the main character nods and we all swoon at their love. But someone who wants you to trust yourself? Who is basically saying, "You have good instincts. You got this''?! Someone who isn't saying, "Lean on me, I'll take care of it" but is instead saying, "You are so capable. I believe in you"? A supportive partner who encourages you to grow and stand on your own?!?!

Hands down the most romantic thing on the planet.

I have a huge problem with any time someone starts treating the Jedi like space Christianity because it fundamentally misrepresents the Jedi and the Force

The Jedi are not Christianity. The Jedi are religion as a whole. Thats why it pulls from so many different real life religions, yeah that includes methodism and buddhism.

The force is not God and the Jedi don’t treat it as such. The force is love and compassion.

They do not force their beliefs onto anyone either. There are so many religions and understandings of the Force that coexist with the Jedi. You can not say the same for the Sith.
