I do think my favorite on-station Garashir dynamic is where Garak is just. painfully pathetic about Bashir. It's very funny to me.

Various Bajorans on the station will watch Bashir's and Garak's little lunches, and they'll be like, "oh no. the poor naive doctor is Going to be taken advantage of". And then they look a little closer and they see that actually Garak is fully whipped for that twink.

Like, sure, he's a former spy. He could kill you. But he's a little busy trying desperately to seduce Bashir without letting on that he's sad and also pathetic. He's making skimpy clothing in his shop that is Very Clearly Bashir-sized. He's arguing shamelessly. He put his hands on Bashir's shoulders during their very first meeting, for Prophet's sake!

Bashir is, of course, oblivious to this and, to their embarrassment, the watching Bajorans actually find themselves feeling bad for Garak. Is he morally dubious? Certainly! Was he a spy in the Obsidian Order? That's the rumor! Has he killed in cold blood? They'd stake their bets on it! But when a guy is pining that pathetically over the shiniest most naive Starfleet twink imaginable...

Well.

It's a little hard to stay afraid of him.

They figure that as long as they don't do anything to harm Bashir or Cardassia, they probably don't have anything to worry about.

i was thinking about like since like tos and tng and ds9 are in the same universe and whatever, here's some crossover things i would love to see:

1. data in tos. I would love to see his different interactions with everyone and friendship with spock would be great. i think bones would also bitch at him like he does with spock and that'd be funny to watch, especially if data and spock turn it around and like team up against him

2. Q in tos. i need to see all the chaos that mf would cause. i think he would flirt with jim and spock (and maybe bones?) like he does picard, and i would die to see that. bones would be so fuckin pissed the whole time and it'd be so funny. he would definitely get sick of bones or chekov and snap their asses out of existence out of irritation aaksgsj

3. spock in tng but the same age he was in tos. there's nothing really particularly i'd like to see i just want him in there lololol

4. jim and riker in tos or tng having a slut off 24/7

5. quark and odo throughout the whole series. i don't know much about ds9 or them really but i find them amusing and want more of them

sometimes I suspect I am being pranked and that I somehow only have access to a version of DS9 that gradually increases the size of Kira Nerys's eyes over time. I always think, 'no, I must be imagining things. it is not possible that her eyes are That large and dewy and doe-like.' and then she appears on screen. and points a disruptor at your chest. while looking at you with the largest and dewiest and most doe-like eyes you've ever seen in your life.

THE BELL RIOTS

This is just to say the Bell Riots don't take place on August 30th. That's the day Sisko, Dax, and Bashir will have been being arrived* in San Francisco. The Riots will be September 1-3, 2024.

I'm watching ds9 and I'm so sorry people who are obsessed with secondary/supporting characters. I get it now I understand your pain I am one of you. every episode I'm like man I hope I see my guy garak this time. I miss my guy garak. and almost every time there is no fucking garak. just watched the ep shadowplay and when bashir MENTIONED garak I leaped into the air and clapped my hands and cheered. crazy behavior. good show though. I am enjoying it
