Julian being hit by the brick wall that is that he wants the strange Cardassian tailor who is almost certainly a spy and is like, 10 years older than him. I don’t think that was on his Star Fleet bingo card when he signed up.

You know, the lack of "Hold up, let Captain Christopher Pike cook" memes disappoint me. Not only is this man a chef, so we get the layered joke with the meme... but can you imagine. JUST IMAGINE SOME random Star Fleet admiral about to sorte the entire Federation fleet to the Enterprise's location for whatever catastrophe/crisis is being solved and they find the entire fleet is waiting just a one mintue warp jump away and the admiral doesn't know what or why and the captains he calls are just like. "We are letting Pike cook, sir." I mean, come on, they call him a "boy scout" ON his file. So I love to think there is a subsection saying, "Also, always remember, if the Enterprise needs help, let Pike cook first."
And don't let me get started on letting Benjamin Sisko cook. (Though to be fair that was before memes were a thing.)

Battle at the Ziggurat -- David Menehan's cover for Prime Directive: The Star Fleet Universe Role-Playing Game, by Task Force Games, designed by Timothy D Olsen and Mark Costello (1993).
Prime Directive obviously is a Star Trek RPG, but one that does not mention "Star Trek" by name. It was published under the same license as Star Fleet Battles, granted to Stephen V Cole's Amarillo Design Bureau in the late 1970s by Franz Joseph, creator of the 1975 Star Fleet Technical Manual.
Like Star Fleet Battles, Prime Directive is focused on military actions. Player characters are members of a Federation Prime Team, an elite special forces unit assigned to the most dangerous missions.
Prime Directive describes a United Federation of Planets, phasers, and Vulcans, but you won't find Kirk or the Enterprise in this book, even in its detailed Star Fleet Universe Timeline. For that you need Star Trek: The Role Playing Game by FASA (1982-89), based directly on the original series, animated series, and first movie.

Ik it's too late to make acc alive. I was dead for too long time. But idc, I randomly drew Herc and I'm happy, enjoying life! I kinda forgot how good feels to draw smth ^_^ Even if he's my least fav chara from Star Fleet, I still like his design 10\10! I'm not gonna finalize this piece into rendered artwork, cause it is suppose to be just warm up. After a while of not drawing tugboats.. (I was busy with a lot of stuff and also procrastinating. Still fighting anxiety issues oof-)

A Little Zorran Headcanon
This little detail has been part of my AU for ages, but I've never actually said it out loud, except possibly in private conversations with one or two people.
Zorran and the other Z-Stacks were based on the Moran fleet of tugs in New York. So, their leader was given a name that rhymed with Moran. This means that the correct way to pronounce 'Zorran' is "ZorRAN"
The trouble is, every single character in the show pronounces it as "ZorRUN." Everyone: Star Tug, Z-Stack, his own captain! Everyone pronounces it "ZorRUN"... except for one...
Zorran himself.
Zorran says his own name on at least two separate occasions: First, in the very first episode, Sunshine:
"No problem, that contract's as good as ours or my name's not Zorran!"
The second is in Bigg Freeze:
"Wrong, Sunshine - it's for Vienna. Delivered by me - Zorran - see?"
On both occasions, he specifically pronounces his name as ZorRAN. Which makes me think: Zorran spends his days listening to everyone around him pronounce his name wrong!
I mean, immediately after he says his name properly in the first episode, Zip follows up and mispronounces it!
Anyone who has ever had their name mispronounced repeatedly knows how annoying it is.
So, that is part of my AU's canon: Everybody pronounces Zorran's name wrong, which is why he's constantly irritated by... everything!
The only one who pronounces it correctly, besides Zorran himself, from the main cast is Zip. Being Zorran's nephew in my AU, it's a bit too much to have him say it wrong. It's the other change to go with the Canadian accent!

This one was a custom request last year with personalization on the back. Got them on my Etsy if interested. Not a Star Fleet fan, jatlh chotlhej. Have a different fandom? I can probably do that too.

To go with my idea of Brad being an augmented human and his hiding it from star fleet;
So it’s pretty clear Williams going to be a villain this season and it got me thinking about a scenario where the days saved the rifts are closed etc and William is arrested for his crimes.
William who just like Brad is an augmented human and before had reason to keep this hidden but now it’s definitely something he’d tell Starfleet about to get Brad also discharged and arrested. Definitely a if I’m going down I’m taking you with me scenario.
Also I’m thinking about Brad celebrating with everyone of the Cerritos after everything when a bunch of high ranking starfleet members come up and immediately arrest Brad in front of everyone stating his crime as being an augmented human who hid his identity in order to join starfleet.
Everyone’s pretty much ready to riot and throw down then and there, except for Brad himself who while definitely upset also looks calm and resolute almost.
He tells it’s true that he’s an augmented human that hid it all these years and that he’s sorry he’s lied to everyone. He always figured he’d be found out one day and yeah no way was William gonna keep their secret after everything, still it was nice while it lasted.
Cue a whole drama where Brad has a trial, all sorts of people are brought in as character witnesses and the Cerritos fights tooth and nail to get Brad free and back into starfleet.
Also Mariner is 100% freaking out about the idea of Brad in jail by himself (the others are also freaked out but mariner extra so) and thinks he’s probably been sold for a pack of cigarettes already.
Brad is actually having an ok time though, like he’s definitely not thrilled but compared to some of the missions and alien jails they’ve been to earth prison is pretty chill.
So Brad gets released and is reinstated as a junior lieutenant and a the rule stating that augmented humans can’t join starfleet is removed.
Brad and the gang expect everything to just go back to normal on the ship, but there’s definitely some stigma around augmented humans and the fact he kept it hidden for so long that affects peoples opinions on him.
Some of its mild like Jack Ransom asking him if he has any cool augmented stuff like extra strength, endurance and brain power (he doesn’t). He even makes a few comments on missions about Brad being built differently and using those augmented abilities to help them (it’s annoying at best and offensive at worst)
Doctor T’ana now that she has access to brads actual genetic code and health is kinda horrified by what she finds, since his DNA is constantly falling apart and fixing itself resulting in all kind of health problems. She starts him a strict regime of supplements and vitamins etc and asks him all sorts of questions about past health stuff and doctors (she looked ready to kill someone when Brad mentioned he didn’t really ever go to the doctor as a kid since his parents where worried about his illegal augment status being found out).
There’s also a number of starfleet officers who almost seem to be scared of Brad, whispering about how you can’t trust augmented humans that Brad must be hiding his true self like William was and that one day he’ll just snap.
There’s also a more vocal angry group who spew all sorts of hateful things about how brads an unnatural freak and that he and other augmented humans don’t belong in starfleet to anyone that will listen.

no way I'm going into a space cave. I wouldn't willingly explore an earth cave let alone a space one and that isn't the main reason I wouldn't make star fleet but it definitely is one of the reasons I wouldn't make star fleet

Finally finished artwork gift for my friend @jayjay667! It took a bit too long, because of my lazy ass and other stuff happening in life. But it was satisfying to draw our humanized Herculeses regardless. And her design and style are great, although I'm not the best at trying to capturing them. I doubt that I will post art regularly, although I never did regularly post anything tbh. But I'm thinking of improving my art skills, artstyle etc. and practice for a while (I'm not sure if I'll want to do anything else, like translation of episodes). And I'm still thinking of human designs for TUGS characters, if not redesigns (I tried to draw my Hercules with outfit inspired by us navy winter uniform, and give vitiligo which is invisible here now oof-) Also I decided to add watermark for changed nickname, cause why not?
And here's black and white version, like the photo!
