Initially, I wasn't sure if I liked that they made Emmrich actually recite "magic" words, in Trade, to do his corpse-whispering.

Like I think because I'm so used to Dragon Age mages usually either not using a verbal component, or just chanting/muttering something vaguely spooky in ~Old Tevene~ (so, Latin) as they wave around a la Venatori, hearing just straight up English coming out of his mouth kinda made me hyper-aware of how delightfully silly it was?

..... so now I'm kinda headcanoning that it's entirely unnecessary (he does cast spells without speaking too, after all), he just. does, that. Because of course he does.

I just think it's cute to think that he doesn't actually need to say anything, but it's his style to put on a show for the audience, and this is just the way the spirits like to be invited in for a nice chat.
