This journey hasn’t been easy.

It’s been full of rough surfaces and broken mirrors—moments where I had to face the shaky foundation I’d built, confront my insecurities, and stop pretending I had it all together.

One of the biggest struggles I’ve faced in life was confidence. Not the fake kind, but the deep, inner knowing that I’m enough.

Three years ago, I was more focused on being liked than being aligned.

I wanted to fit in with the “dusties.”

I found flattery in attention—even when it came with confusion or compromise.

Back then, being open to anything felt like freedom… but now I know it was survival.

🌱 Who I Am Now

Today, I’m focused. I’ve stopped settling. I’d rather be valued than just liked.

I don’t want to please everyone—I want to live in peace.

And most importantly, I’ve found guidance in God.

I’ve learned who He is.

What He’s capable of.

And what He can do for me that no man ever could.

• I used to bottle my feelings—now I talk to Him.

• I used to jump into situations—now I wait for Him to send the right people.

• I used to try to force understanding—now I trust God, even when things don’t make sense.

• I used to chase religion—now I’m building a relationship.

• I used to focus on relationship growth—now I prioritize spiritual growth.

• I used to stare at how far I had to go—now I embrace the journey.

• I used to live just to survive—now I’m living for purpose.

• I used to find joy through comparison—now I find joy within.

• I used to hold grudges—now I release them. I don’t have “beef” because I’m not committed to having problems with people.

• I used to obsess over the future—now I trust God to lead me.

And I had to give up a lot to grow.

Old habits. Old mindsets. Old cycles.

Growth didn’t come overnight—it took months of inner work, quiet tears, and private breakthroughs. And the real work? It doesn’t scream.

There were days I wanted to give up.

Last night was long and bittersweet. One of our goats had triplets. Unfortunately, one was not born alive and a second baby is super tiny (under a pound). While I spent the night awake, doing hourly feedings and running a little baby goat nicu, I was thinking how bazaar and illogical life can be. Of the three babes, the deceased one was significantly larger and by all appearances healthier than this little fella and yet here he is, fighting the good fight. It made me think of the many, many, many times I've looked around, felt inadequate, and thought probably every one else was more qualified than myself. Yet, here I am and it's me, not you. You can say the same, and ought to. Against whatever odds, or logic you think you understand, you are here and that is worth the effort because there are other souls who did not get the privilege.
