The second image is the official episode art for episode 230 “Carlos, Explained.” It shows Carlos standing in a field of lavenders at sunset. Carlos is in the background on the right. In the sky are the words “Carlos, Explained.”
The third image is the official episode art for episode 212 “The Campus.” It shows a magnifying glass shining light onto a town, but casting a shadow over it where the light isn’t. In the top right are the words “The Campus.” /End ID]
hello and welcome to the post where i finally talk about some of my favorite wtnv episode art, because it’s a thing they do that i absolutely adore.
and i think it’s severely under appreciated/untalked about
starting with this one because i think it’s really lovely both in concept and execution. i have the print of it :)
i enjoy this work a lot for a same reason that i love room scenes: story told through subtlety. using the fridge as a canvas, including esteban’s drawings and letter magnets, gives us a window into the lives of these characters that we don’t really see in the typical format of this show. it’s also just really cute??
the subtle references to the past, the constant, and the current really tie the themes of the episode (and the show as a whole) together.
other things of note:
the star tarot card is representative of hope and new beginning.
the exes on the community calendar match up to the day of the month (the 15th).
i really really really like the references to the wtnv novel, because i think the novels are neglected a lot when it comes to the podcast and merchandising.
it knows with a certainty that the people seeing it will understand the niche references on it, and thus does not feel a need to explain itself.
it works really great as episode art, but also wonderfully as a 10th anniversary piece. unlike the poster. which i hate.
like the above, i love this one for several reasons. the composition, the colors, the lettering.
but above all i am a big enjoyer of flower imagery and symbolism.
lavender is pretty well known to symbolize calm, and tranquility. i think most people know that. and i think that reflects the kind of levelheaded and methodical way that carlos finally deals with his problems in this episode.
and i’m hoping the it’s representative of carlos’ mindset in the year to come? representative of him finding peace with his past.
him having his back turned to the viewer gives a sense of withdrawal or running away, but the lavender and calm atmosphere portray an aura is resignation. he’s done running.
other things:
old woman josie says in an early episode that carlos smells like lavender chewing gum
lavender is drought resilient and does very well in desert climates :)
i love this one for the same reason that i have issues with the most recent arc.
the magnifying glass both casts a shadow over and a beaming light into the community that you see in the illustration. it can be assumed that it’s only a matter of time before it bursts into flames and is destroyed under the prying eye. symbolism that is pretty easy to dissect. it tells us exactly what the danger is and exactly what is in danger in a very easy to interpret way.
welcome to night vale has always had a very heavy emphasis on community, but for me that isn’t really shown in this arc.
allegorical meaning aside, it ended up being framed in this way that ended up m very cecil & carlos vs. the night vale community + the uowii. rather than it being cecil, carlos, and the night vale community vs. the uowii. which was so
i think both of those concepts exist within the arc, but the latter is less believable because there’s so much less community detail. characters motives are not described. characters reactions to certain events are brushed past, often with little emotion to them. oh josh is missing? that sucks. anyways. dana is completely innocent? woohoo! anyways. they don’t allow room to for us, and the characters, to just FEEL? which is a stark contrast to the writing of previous years.
night vale as a community is what was at stake at this arc. but the lack of focus on characters and the relationships between them really took the stakes and emotion out of the situation. and, for me, took some impact and comedic value out of the ending.
i remember being really excited upon seeing this episode art because this piece did a really good job at setting an expectation for what the themes of this year would be. the themes were still there, but the writing didn’t do them justice and didn’t give them enough push to make them feel as impactful as they should have been.
this is all that i have the energy to talk about for now, but if there’s other episode art you’d like me to talk about, send me an ask! i’m also happy to talk about my opinions on other merch pieces that they have in their store! :)

The 2021 Destiel Favs Survey!
The December, 2020 edition of the Destiel Fan Favorites Survey is now completed! I got 340 submissions, the most I’ve received since the first time I did the survey in 2017 (this is the fifth time). Since the inception of the survey, I’ve received 1372 surveys, reflecting the tastes of those in the fandom at the time they did the survey and completed especially with an eye toward highlighting excellent lesser-known works.
On the latest survey, 336 different authors were listed as favorites! 165 of these authors were added to the list for the first time. Across all five times I’ve given this survey, 700 authors (on the nose!) have been listed as favorites. You can view a list of all those authors, and links to their accounts, here!
On this survey, an astonishing 1,448 stories received a vote!! The majority - 891 works - were added to the collection for the first time, which is absolutely thrilling to me. 253 of the authors of these works had never been listed before, and now know - they’re someone’s favorite. How awesome is that?
Since the inception of this survey, 3,544 stories by 1,365 different authors have been named as someone’s favorite. All of these works are assembled in a collection that you can view on AO3 here! (works that aren’t on AO3 are bookmarked, as are the works of author’s who chose not to accept the invite to the collection; 210 invites are still pending from the 2021 survey; if authors don’t add their works by next weekend, I’ll bookmark them). Alternatively, you can view a list of every work in the collection, and a link to access the work if it’s still available online, here!
By far, the best way to navigate the collection is to go to the AO3 Collection and use the tags searches and filters to find works that appeal to you. That said, I know some people are curious about results. It’s outside my ability to make lists that include every work, and so I do in general compile some of the data and share those who got the “top” results (not in a ranking, only in alphabetical order). If you’re interested, keep reading...

if you are having trouble seeing the links on this post, please access it on pillowfort here: https://www.pillowfort.social/posts/1967244
In the past, I've done an annotated "Top 20 Authors" list, where I list (in alphabetical, not ranked) order the authors who received the most votes and every work they have in the collection. I will not be doing that this year. I'll give the top 20 list, but not list all their fics - it's too much, and too many of these authors are the same as previous years. The goal of the Collection is and always has been to highlight the works of authors who don't get as much love and aren't as well known, and I've come to feel the Top 20 list doesn't serve that goal effectively. As such, I will instead be doing a "Rookies of the Year" list, listing 10 authors who have not been on the top 20 list previously, and a "Top New Stories" list, with the 10 most popular stories added to the collection this year.
You can see the past top lists at these links:
January, 2020
June, 2018
March, 2017
I also have done a number of rec lists based on the data, but not since the last two surveys (the collection has grown too big, and I don’t have time any longer). These are also all available on pillowfort.
All lists are in alphabetical order! These are not rankings!
Rookies of the Year! A list ten authors who’ve scored highly for the first time on the survey, and every work they’ve written that received at least one vote in the survey!

A Morning Boost Tea
I love this tea paired with motivation or energy spells, or just to set the tone for the day. I've often brewed it alongside a tarot or oracle card that embodies my day's focus.
For about 16 oz tea:
1 or 2 cinnamon sticks- for energy & amplification of good energy
Orange peel- for happiness, motivation, & energy
2 sprigs rosemary- for memory & mental fortitude
1 or 2 sage leaves- for protection & mental clarity
1 bag black tea- for strength & energy
The add ins:
Honey- for abundance & warmth
Sugar- for sweetening the day
Almond milk- for abundance & wisdom
Bring the water to near boiling (210°F/99°C) and add the herbs and tea. Steep the herbs for 4-6 minutes, and the tea for 2-3 minutes.
Add honey or sugar to taste, and it's done! I sometimes like it with a splash of almond milk.

Elder Dragon Highlander
Commander is a format of Magic the Gathering that has become almost completely detached from its original premise. Much of what the format is is built upon the concept of Elder Dragon Highlander- 21 Commander damage is lethal because that’s 3 hits from an Elder Dragon, the slow grindy format built to accommodate the original 5’s heavy mana investment and limited effects.
But that was a long time ago, and the designers at WoTC have opted to attach the moniker of Elder Dragon to a number of additional cards. 21 total cards hold the name, 4 cycles of 5 apiece with one straggler at the back.
What is considered “elder” is largely to do with lore, I think, but due to its association with such iconic cards, it’s interesting to see how and what the label is attached to.
I’ll, uh….do cube something next week? I dunno. But this is the Elder Dragons.
The original 5
The first elder dragon cycle is kind of iconic of Magic in general. Released in Legends, they were the first tricoloured cards in the entire game, were I believe the biggest and most expensive cards of the time, and all represented characters from the comics that I think just about everyone forgets existed.
They do not even remotely resemble modern design. Clunky is one thing, but the quintuplets are almost aberrant to what would be considered attractive Magic cards. A monstrous investment of mana in multiple colours that has a continuous upkeep of more mana, all for an arguably understatted flying creature with one extra ability. Chromium gets Rampage, a keyword that started in Legends, ended in Mirage, and doesn’t have reminder text despite being arguably confusing. Palladia-Mors gets Trample, making it arguably one of the best ones. Vaevictis Asmadi gets Firebreathing in all 3 of its colours, in case 8+3+3+3 wasn’t enough mana-shaped eggs in one basket for you. Arcades gets a bonus ability in toughness-breathing, to make up for it’s deliberately mediocre ability- the “oh cool I can use this with vigilance” eureka/fun brain moment quashed by its pointless limitation.
And then, of course, there’s Nicol Bolas. Somehow one of the game’s most iconic characters, in an art rendition that makes a powerful villain look like a gentle draconic geriatric. (EDITORS NOTE: still Rad here but I just now noticed this mf has a fucking dragon nipple, wtf?) I suppose Bolas becoming so well known was inevitable, if only because it was the only one of the most popular cycles with an actually cool and powerful ability. There are currently 210 more Bolas decks than any other member of this cycle, and that difference also happens to be twice what the other four have combined.
Bolas is arguably the only one that stood the test of time, the only one to ever show up independently of the other 4. I suppose we’ll see if any of the rest do the same, but I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
(Elder) Dragons of Tarkir
The titular Dragons of Tarkir’s third set (Dragons of Tarkir) were a set I was excited to see as the cards were being spoiled. The lore of the plane was interesting, with Magic stepping into a plot with time travel and finally showing us what Ugin looked like after almost 10 years of curiosity. The dragons that would become the Clan leaders had appeared previously in Fate Reforged, and the editions that we’d see as Elders- 10,000 years older and in some cases even wiser- presented a powerful and exciting cycle. Unlike with the Legends dragons, I’m pretty sure all of these saw play somewhere.
Ironically, though, I’m pretty sure these were deliberately tuned for Standard rather than the format named after their typeline. Even outside of Kolaghan’s line of text that….doesn’t do a whole lot in the format, Ojutai and Silumgar were pretty obviously built to be the finishers in the Esper Dragons deck that ran them, Atarka a clear top-end for Gruul Monsters (and, eventually, Eldrazi Ramp), and Dromoka a potential menace in Dromoka’s Command-backed Midrange lists. These cards are all quite powerful, but they’re built for a different kind of game.
That’s I suppose the biggest issue with the Dragons of Dragons of Tarkir, they were underwhelming. The set as a whole was fairly middling, though I did truly enjoy the draft format. I’m pretty sure the most played card in the set is fucking Collected Company, one I kind of despise, followed with Kolaghan’s Command which is just a traumatic experience for me. And while 3 of these 5 are seeing more play than their past counterparts, including Dragonlord Ojutai being literally 10 times more commonly seen than Soul of Winter, that difference is largely a matter of power (or lack thereof), the Mythic Dragonlords being obviously stronger than their Rare originals. The rare ones are arguably more fun, though, and that’s what matters to me.
Legends…2! (aka core set 2019)
Part of the theme of Core Set 2019 was the story (read: retcon so the ending of War of the Spark makes more sense) of Bolas and Ugin in their youth, which meant that we got to get updated, modern designs of the original Elder Dragons (not Ugin tho lmao). And by Modern, I kind of mean postmodern, because we’re at the point where Commander cards start getting absurd All The Time.
Each of the Elder Dragons of Core 2019 (copyright WoTC 2018) have the benefits of updated design practices with 24 extra years of experience, as well as not having to have a million words on them for silly reasons like extra mana sacrifice triggers. Even Palladia-Mors, probably the weakest of them (and still pretty threatening!), gets to have flavour text hinting at a potential return (which hasn’t happened yet).
When you’re designing cards like these, though, it’s inevitable that some are going to be overshadowed by others. Baby Bolas, of course, was one of the flagship cards for the set, being a transforming Planeswalker with lots of abilities that wins the game in just the most classy way I’ve seen in a minute. And Arcades took a fun niche deck people liked and blew it wide open, making Defenders into one of the most disgusting Offensive decks in a minute.
But then there’s Chromium, a fairly powerful Voltron/Control finisher but not one that leads you in any particular direction. Vaevictis does lead in fun directions, but would then be completely dwarfed by the absurdity that is Lord Windgrace the same year and Korvold the next one.
Outside of a few, this cycle feels like it got kind of lost in the shuffle, and I think that’s not really that much a reflection of the cards (except maybe Palladia, the Naya Problem rearing its ugly head again), and more the greater issue with Magic as a whole just shitting out cards constantly faster than most can catch up.
Welcome to Strixhaven School of Magecraft and Sideboardary
Our final cycle is the new kids on the block, the Strixhaven dragons. I suppose one way to make the definitely not Hogwarts Houses (they’re colleges, Clearly) seem important is attach a giant Fuckoff Dragon next to them.
A thing I like a lot about Strixhaven as a set is how it was introducing a new Thing for each of the enemy colour pairs to do- Golgari Lifegain, Boros Graveyard, Izzet Spells But Big Ones Instead Also Treasures?. The set came with loads and loads of cards supporting each of these themes, and having Commander 2021 alongside it and associated with it means they’re well supported by that as well. But, and this is the important part, the Elder Dragons aren’t as overshadowed because they too are doing something different, even if its rather slight in some cases, on their own- but each supporting or being supported by the Dragon in question.
Beledros is a Big Mana Golgari commander (normally seen in Mono-Green or Gruul) whose huge life cost is assisted by the Lifegain cards Witherbloom got. Galazeth helps ramp into the giant spells associated with Prismari while also making the alternate discard into treasure option some of those spells have a lot better. Tanazir doubles the power of Quandrix’s Fractal tokens, and makes them even more huge when attacking due to then natively being 0/0s. And I don’t really know what the idea in Silverquill is other than “Politics”, but Shadrix looks fucking cool and probably plays really nicely. It’s just a really fucking solid cycle.
It’s not really possible to tell how these 5 are going to play out- Strixhaven is still the latest Standard Set to release at time of writing. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the most successful Elder Dragon cycle as a whole assuming you’re looking at, like, mean Decks.
And then there’s The Other One
As part of Modern Horizons 2, cards for a set of characters from alllll the way back from those Legends stories were created- a new Dakkon, a Geyadrone Dihada, and the Elder Dragon that showed up in their story- Piru.
Piru is, obviously, a reference to the original cycle of Elder Dragons, but in a Wedge colour rather than a Shard. And with an extra keyword, which is something I missed, because it makes all the difference. I had written this card off, until I realised that Lifelink triggered from the death trigger, and when this thing dies it isn’t too hard to gain dozens of life points. That’s a lot and combined with clearing the board it’s not too hard to get virtually unkillable. I love leaning into the downside from the original dragons by adding a powerful death trigger like this.
Piru released very recently, and already has 112 decks to her name. I wouldn’t be surprised if that plateaus, but it’s still rather promising. 8 mana is a lot in non-green colours, but I like Piru, and I’d be happy to see her see lots and lots of play going forward.
While 2021 has so far had more Elder Dragons than any other year, they’ve been a very promising cadre with a lot of interesting ideas going on. With that said, I’m not sure that I want the trend to continue, because the more they make (the more Elders in general, really), the less special they get. But for now at least, it looks like we’re finally getting to a good place for Elder Dragons. Only took us 27 years.

Chapter 210: Glory of Love
After Granny's that evening, they had the small issue of figuring out where to stay. Winter and Charming had gifted the Charming family house to Emma and Killian and with their castles destroyed, they had contemplated staying at the Inn. But with their need to be alone, they decided against that and though they were offered an invitation to say in Elsa's castle, they opted to do a quick rebuild of their castle in Misthaven. Fortunately, with the power of the chalice, it only took minutes and they were soon sequestered in their newly rebuilt bed chambers. Tomorrow, Summer and Bobby would pick out their rooms in the castle that would now be their home, but for tonight, they were staying over at Regina and Robin's.
That left them alone to their own devices and they knew exactly how they were going to use their alone time. When she exited the now modernized bathroom, complete with a hot tub that she was sure they would make use of later, she spotted him on the veranda with a bottle of wine. Her favorite moscato wine and he had gotten rid of his shirt, much to her liking. She undid the cord of her silk robe and tossed it to the bed, before sauntering toward him in a slinky satin negligee, white in color, of course. She noticed he was looking out over the Kingdoms from their balcony and the cool night air hit her bare skin. Stars blanketed the sky in a spectacular fashion and twinkled above them. She recalled nights like these from Winter's memories and similar memories from Boston of Margaret Nolan from the last few years. It was odd to have so many dual memories in her head and so many lives, but she had never felt more at peace.
There was one thing that gave her pause and she could see that it was bothering her husband, as she noticed the pensive look on his handsome face. He turned to her and became immediately captivated by her, as he always was.
"You never fail to take my breath away," he confessed, as he took her hands in his own.
"But you're worried," she said.
"He's still out there...plotting who knows what to hurt you...I'm not sure I can rest knowing that. The thought of him getting close to you again...it's going to keep me up nights," he confessed.
"He's a coward...that's why he didn't show up. He knows that facing you head on is a death sentence and we will get him. He always hides and he's counting on haunting us again, but he's not going to this time," she assured.
"I don't know if it was having those peaceful years as Margaret or my memories as Winter, but I have never been more at peace," she confessed.
"I'm worried he's still out there too, but we'll be ready for him when he shows his ugly face," she said. He smiled and kissed her tenderly.
"We will...and I'll do everything in my power to make sure he doesn't escape when he does pop up again," he promised.
"And we are not going to waste anymore time talking about that psycho," he added, as he handed her a glass.
"Good...because the only thing I want right now is to be in the arms of the man I love," she said, as she looked at him.
"Charming...you're my hero and you always will be. And maybe, because of who we are, that means we'll always have a villain in our lives," she reasoned.
"But if that is the trade off for sharing this incredible love that we have...then I would never trade it for some peaceful life," she promised
"I know. Me either...it's just that the peaceful life we got in Boston for two years was pretty great," he mentioned.
"It was...but it was incomplete without our whole family. This is truly our home," she said, as they gazed out over Storybrooke from their castle.
"And I know that things are really uncertain now that the whole world knows about us...but maybe this is a chance to make an even bigger difference," she said.
"Our love...it defeats evil. If we can change just a few minds or take out just a few evils that cause harm to people...then I think I would feel really good about that, despite the risks," she added. He smiled at her.
"You're amazing...and I agree. I did like the feeling that I was making a difference when I was working with the Major," he agreed.
"And there's evil and crime here in the United Realms, but not like there is out there. I saw some of the worst of it in the last two years. And the monsters out there don't always look like monsters," he added. She smiled at him.
"Besides...even with the potential danger, you and I never turn down an adventure," she said. He grinned and swept her into his arms.
"No...we don't, but right now, there's only one adventure I care about," he said.
"Mmm...I think I'm going to like this adventure very much," she purred.
"If I'm on my game...you will," he teased.
"Oh, you've never not been on your game, my love," she replied, as the anticipation of what was to come was already fluttering in her stomach.
"Well, that's good, because I plan on making love to my beautiful wife all night long," he said, as he lay her in bed. She watched him with bated breath, as he turned down the lights and then used the chalice to ignite a fire in the fireplace. She smiled, as he got into bed with her and pulled her into his arms. She shifted in his arms and straddled his lap, as she gazed down at him. He looked up at her and the passion in his stare licked at her every nerve. Their lips met and the heat of the fire paled in comparison to the heat of passion between the truest of loves...
~*~
Regina collapsed on the couch next to Robin and he handed her a glass of apple cider, as they decompressed from a very crazy day.
"So...have you looked at the Internet yet?" she asked.
"I peeked a bit," he replied.
"How bad is it?" she winced.
"Pretty ridiculous. Learning that the mysterious Henry Swan's book is actually real was one thing, but then seeing the battle they just saw...heads are exploding," Robin said.
"And I suppose there are plenty of haters," she mentioned.
"I didn't look at too much of it, but yes. There also seems to be some rabid fans, which we know can be just as dangerous as the hateful people. And then there are various officials and government agencies. The Major and the FBI have taken the reins on this, with military involvement," he replied.
"What a mess," she sighed.
"Do you think Snow and David are making the right decision by cooperating with the Major?" he asked.
"I'm not sure they have a choice. If the Major really does somehow have all of Clayton's former assets, then I doubt we could keep her out even if we wanted to," she replied.
"Keep your enemies closer, I suppose," he reasoned. She snorted.
"Who knew Leroy would be right. We might really have tour buses driving down Main Street," she joked.
"Leroy being right seems like a precedent that we do not want to repeat," he joked as well, as he noticed her looking at the kids. Summer and Bobby were catching up with Roland and they had brought along their new friend JJ from the land of muggles.
"At least there are some that seem accepting of us," Robin mentioned.
"So it seems...but I don't like his cousin. Even with the Major controlling her narrative at the moment, she's bound to find a way around that and spew her skewed view of all this," Regina said.
"True...but her cousin seems like a good guy," Robin mentioned.
"So far," Regina replied in a measured tone and he chuckled.
"I get that you're protective of Summer, as you should be, but it takes a lot of character to run headlong into something like this for a girl he just met. There would have to be a deeper connection than just on the surface for any man to do that," he reasoned.
"I suppose you're right. I just hoped that once we put Seth down that we'd find a little peace. But I suppose that's not really in the cards for this family," she mused. He chuckled.
"We are a busy bunch," he agreed.
"Human evil is a lot harder to see than monsters right in our faces," she mentioned.
"That's why we'll be there. If the Major wants David still working out in the field, he won't be doing it alone," Robin said. She nodded.
"Not to mention there's one big monster that wasn't on the battlefield and is still out there," she replied.
"Dr. Jekyll...probably holed up in some makeshift lab somewhere cooking up some horrors," Robin said. She bit her bottom lip.
"Do you think a locator potion would work?" he asked.
"It's possible...there's just a lot more places to hide now than there used to be when we were just dealing with Storybrooke. But it's definitely worth a shot," she replied.
"You think he's a step ahead already and somehow he's already blocked the magic of a locator spell," he mused.
"Probably...but it won't hurt to try. He's insane and I don't want him coming after Snow again if we can stop it," Regina said.
"We will…" Robin assured, as they shared a kiss.
"Listen to me...the Evil Queen fretting over the safety of Snow White," she mused.
"Your step-daughter, whom you love and now know was never really responsible for Daniel's death. Snow forgave you long ago," he reminded her.
"I know...and I've accepted that part of me. Finally...I reunited with her, because she is a part of me and I know that Snow and David have forgiven me, but now those stories are being laid bare for the entire world to see...some are not going to see me as anything other than the Evil Queen," she said.
"True...but there are those that can recognize someone who has redeemed herself as well," he replied.
"I suppose so…" she mentioned.
"You know, if you'd rather stay behind, Snow and David will understand," he said.
"No...there's no way in hell I'm letting my family, especially my grandchildren go out into that piranha tank without me," she said without thinking and he chuckled. A smile spread across her face at that.
"Hmm...guess I really don't give a damn what the muggles think, after all," she mused, as she finished her cider.
"The Land Without Magic better watch out. The Queen does not take kindly to someone being mean to her grand babies and neither does her thief," he said, as they shared another smile and a kiss.
~*~
"Wow...this book is incredible. And it's really the same as this one that's been out in bookstores all these years?" he asked, as he held up a white paperback copy that was published during their time in Hyperion Heights.
"Yes...this is the master copy," Summer replied, referring to the brown, leather bound book.
"And all of it happened?" he asked.
"All of it and Henry's paperback was only published as a result of the curse in Hyperion Heights," she replied.
"Curse? So you didn't know who you really were?" he asked.
"No...the one in Hyperion Heights separated my parents again, but Bobby ended up with Mom and I ended up with Dad," she explained.
"Yeah...unfortunately Mom was only cursed part of the time and that's why Clayton had her locked up in a mental institution," Bobby added.
"That's awful...this Clayton guy seems like he was a real problem," JJ said.
"He was the worst. I don't remember a lot of our time in Atlantis, but what I do remember wasn't good," Summer said.
"You've been to the Underworld...like hell!?" JJ exclaimed, as they flipped through the book and he saw Hades.
"Well…Bobby was just a baby and I was really little, so we didn't go. But Mom, Emma, Hook, Henry, Leo, Eva, Nana, and Grandpa Xander did after Dad fell through a portal to the Underworld," Summer explained.
"How did your father not die?" JJ asked.
"Well...the chalice was protecting his life and Hades couldn't take it," Summer replied.
"Which pissed him off and he refused to let him go, so Mom went after him and kicked ass," Bobby said.
"Wow...so your parents have literally been to hell and back," JJ mused.
"Yeah, but not even hell was as bad to what came after that," Summer said, as he turned the page.
"Dr. Jekyll...hey that's the crazy guy that was in the classroom that injected you," JJ realized.
"Yeah, crazy is putting it mildly and he happened to be one of the only ones to escape the battle," Bobby said.
"So he's still out there...does that mean your Mom is still in danger?" JJ asked.
"Yeah...unfortunately, but then it seems like Mom and Dad are always in some kind of peril," Summer replied.
"Huh...they don't really act like it," he mentioned. They smiled.
"That's our Mom and Dad," Summer said fondly.
"So...your parents and oldest sister weren't born in this land?" he asked.
"No...and that was before all the lands were one. It used to be just Storybrooke and the rest of us were born here," she answered.
"Wow…" he said, as he continued to flip through the book.
"I gotta say...you're taking this way better than most people are," Bobby mentioned. He shrugged.
"It probably helped that I kind of saw it up close and personal. It's a bit hard to deny it's all real after that and you're just people too, right? Just different," JJ said.
"Yeah...different scares a lot of people though, but glad to know there are still some that are accepting," Summer replied.
"So...do you have a family? Besides Nora?" Bobby asked bluntly.
"Bobby…" Summer chided, as she smacked his arm. JJ chuckled.
"It's okay...and I used to, but my parents are gone. They died in an accident years ago. They were anthropologists and traveled a lot. I lived in a group home after that and then became a paramedic," he explained.
"Nora's parents didn't take you in?" Summer asked.
"No...her parents were barely fit to take care of her, let alone me," he replied.
"I'm sorry…" she said. He smiled.
"Don't be...I'd tell you to not take your loving family for granted, but it doesn't seem like you do. Sounds like you've had to fight like hell to keep them," he replied. She smiled.
"We have and we always will," she said, as they continued to flip through the book.
~*~
Pleasure Island. That was the name, but in looking at it, the name simply had to be a misnomer. Upon the joining of the United Realms, the lawless and accursed Pleasure Island was included in the good curse. Hook had explained to his family that it was an offshoot of Neverland, though not created by Pan, but rather Stromboli, who was long dead now. The Island delivered upon its name, if your definition of pleasure included lawless activities like gambling, brothels, excessive drinking, and a slew of other violent crimes. Initially, David had been furious to find that they really had no ruler and their refusal to tolerate any leadership.
They had weighed their options to rein in the crime on the Island, but each one would likely only escalate to violence.
The lost boys that had refused to allow the Charmings to help them upon Pan's demise had fled to Pleasure Island, where its accursed nature allowed them to remain young. It was dangerous and resistant to magic, thus why many rulers of the other Kingdoms were reluctant to engage. Seth had enjoyed the villainy and nature of Pleasure Island, allowing it to thrive during his rule and Jekyll found that it was the perfect place for his new base of operations.
A drunken sailor stumbled out of the bar and toward the Inn a few feet away.
"You really tied one on it seems," the doctor mentioned, as loitered outside the Inn.
"Yeah...the great thing about this place...there's no last call," he slurred.
"Yes...but I'm afraid it's last call for you," Jekyll said, as his hand glowed red with fire and the man screamed in agony, as Jekyll burned a hole clear through his abdomen. He smirked, as his victim fell dead to the ground and he placed a single snowdrop flower on the body.
"That should deliver my message quite nicely," he muttered, as he walked away and into the nearby tower that was his new home. It was abandoned, but perfect for his lab and living quarters. He had worked tirelessly through the day and now had his lab fully equipped and functional. The battle in Nephilim served as a nice distraction and had allowed him to steal the equipment, supplies, and drugs he needed from the hospital and University.
"Now...let's see if this works," Jekyll said, as he fired up his new surveillance system that he had worked tirelessly to get up and running.
"So...you've repaired your castle already, dear Snow," he muttered, as he noticed the Charming castle was whole again. He smirked, as the inside of the castle appeared. His nanomites, as he had dubbed them, were working perfectly.
While in Boston, he had invented tiny microbial surveillance devices, no bigger than a dust mite. This afternoon, after the battle, he had released hundreds of these microscopic entities into the United Realms. And now he had complete eyes on everything without having to leave the island.
"There you are, my dear Snow...always a vision of fair beauty," he leered, as he drank her in. He scowled at the man that held her in his arms and fumed.
"Enjoy your victory for now...because you have not seen the last of me and you'll soon know that with that little message I left you," he hissed, as he left his lab and walked into the busy tavern. The man he had murdered still lay in the streets and had already been searched for money and valuables. He paid the scene no mind and sat at the bar, before ordering a drink.
"You're new around here…" another man at the bar mentioned.
"Astute observation," Jekyll replied.
"Yep...this is where you come when you're hiding from the law," he man mentioned.
"And what makes you think I am hiding form the law?" Jekyll questioned.
"Oh, you're the infamous Dr. Jekyll...and we applaud how much grief you've caused Sheriff Charming in the past, but we don't want his kind coming here," he warned.
"Ah...afraid that my presence will bring the wrath of the mighty King Charming," Jekyll mused.
"That's right...so perhaps you'll just find your way along to another place. You look like you'd fit right in in Munchkin land," he chortled, earning laughs from the rest of the bar.
"Is that so?" Jekyll questioned, as he he grabbed the man around the throat. He choked and then screamed in agony, as he was burned to nothing but ash by Jekyll's demonic power.
"Anyone else care to try and evict me?" he questioned, as they all went back to their drinks and he brushed his hands and clothes off, before sitting down at the bar. There was a blonde woman entertaining the patrons on stage and while she was beautiful...she did not interest him. But then another girl took her place on the stage and this one happened to have long raven hair, not nearly as fair, but none were, and she captured his attention. He smirked and finished his drink, before approaching the stage and he let him mind imagine she was the object of his obsession. It would have to do until he could claim the genuine article. And he would...he was determined to get what he wanted, no matter what he had to do.

"And if you're just joining this live podcast...we have, of course, been discussing possibly the greatest disclosure of all time. But it's not aliens...no, it's perhaps even crazier than that. Story book characters, everyone. Fairy tales, if you can believe it. And we can now, because we have confirmation. We saw the whole thing. A battle with a snake God that was defeated by fairy tale characters, people. Not even the conspiracy world could make this up. A Princess that's supposed to sing to birds and her Prince saved us all. It's laughable...but it happened and it was a battle worthy of its place in a Marvel comic book...until the ridiculous moment when a kiss turned all the bad guys to dust. That's right...a kiss and we have a manual now to this whole world that has just opened to us. A book, appropriately titled, Once Upon a Time, written by Henry Swan and published less than a decade ago. This author, Henry Swan, is the Henry in the book. The grandson of the truest loves, as the book calls them. Our saviors," the podcaster said and then added a snort.
"I think I would have preferred an alien invasion," he joked and Eva huffed, before pausing the podcast on her phone. She looked up, seeing her husband looking at her with an amused smile.
"Popcorn?" she offered him with a sheepish smile. He chuckled and plopped down on the couch beside her.
"Why do you insist on listening to those garbage podcasts?" he asked, as he munched on the snack.
"Well...I have insomnia and I apparently also like to torture myself," she joked.
"But seriously...they're not all bad. Some were really excited about learning about us and some are totally in love with my parent's love story, but then that got really weird and creepy really fast," she explained.
"So then I found some that are mocking us instead...and that sucks too. I guess I'm just worried about what all this means," she added.
"Me too...remember, I'm from out there, even if my Dad was from another realm. People out there can be really cruel," he warned.
"I know...that's why I feel badly for not going with them in a few days on the initial trip...but I have patients here…" she fretted.
"Babe...do you really think your parents will be upset with you for not going?" he asked.
"No...I know they understand. I guess I'm just torn, because I feel like I should be there to feel those people out," she replied.
"Well...you know that I can cover for you if you decide to go. Your ability to read people would be invaluable," he mentioned.
"Are you sure?" she asked.
"I'll be fine for a few days. And I have Whale to help out," he added, as she gave him a look.
"Oh, that's comforting," she joked. He chuckled.
"You should go and if Whale manages to stay sober and things aren't nuts at the hospital, maybe I can join you later in Boston," he suggested. She smiled and kissed him.
"I'd love that," she agreed, as they joined hands and went back upstairs to bed
~*~
Snow moaned gently, as she awoke from a very deep sleep. She had no idea what time of day it was, but judging by the fact that the sun was high in the sky, it was probably the middle of the next day. Which made sense since she and Charming had actually made love nearly all night. She didn't know where their stamina and adrenaline had come from, but once their passion took hold, they spent all night trying to satiate their hunger for each other. She was a little miffed though to find his side of the bed empty and the absence of his warm body curled against hers was definitely the reason she was even awake already. She turned over and sat up, as she pulled the sheet up over her unclothed body, tucking it around her, just as her husband returned, wearing just his sleep pants and she bit her bottom lip.
"There you are…" she purred.
"And with breakfast, though it's more like late lunch now," he replied, as he got back into bed with her and set the tray in front of them.
"Wow...pancakes, bacon, over easy eggs, strawberries with chocolate whipped cream...and hot cocoa with cinnamon. All my favorites," she said, as she cuddled against him.
"Well...after last night, I'd say we worked up quite an appetite," he replied, as he fed her a bite of pancakes and they proceeded to enjoy the breakfast he made together.
"Mmm...we definitely needed that after last night, which was amazing," she said, looking at him with a dreamy stare and he set the tray aside.
"Well...I'd say we deserve to spend the day in bed. It's been a while," he said, as he dipped a strawberry in the whipped cream and fed it to her.
"Mmm...we have definitely earned it," she agreed, as she ate the fruit and then kissed him, letting him taste the sweetness on her lips.
"Mmm...the food is good, but you taste far better than anything," he purred and she bit her bottom lip.
"Oh I know all about your hunger for me, my love. You're the reason I probably won't be able to walk today," she praised, as she gazed at him with a smoldering look and he smirked.
"Then my plan worked," he whispered in her ear, before he kissed her earlobe and then moved his way sensually down her neck.
"Mmm...don't start something you can't finish, handsome," she warned and then felt him pressing against her.
"Guess I just can't get enough of you," he said, giving her his best smolder and she pulled him into a kiss. He smiled at her, as their lips parted and they pressed their foreheads together. She smiled at him with desire lidded eyes.
"I guess I should know by now that magic happens when we're together," she breathed sensually, as the powerful magic between them consumed them once again.
~*~
As he sank into her again, she hummed in pleasure and slid her hands into his hair, gently running her fingers through it. They stared into each other's eyes and their shared heart pounded in sync. No words were spoken, but their eyes and heart spoke volumes. For them, this went far beyond physical and always had. They had always been so in tune with each other; a love that had always been on another level than most and that not even a curse could tear asunder. Being one in heart and mind already made their connection awe-inspiring. So when they became one in body too, it was nothing short of purely magical and almost ethereal. His thrusts this time were slow and languid, as he glided deeply into her each time.
She lay writhing beneath his undulating body, legs splayed around him. With every thrust, he hit her sweet spot and slowly pushed her to the edge. As she neared her climax, her mewls grew in volume and she raked her nails along his naked back, as her entire body trembled beneath him. He had her right at the edge and her cries became whimpers, as her body begged to come. She wasn't even sure how it was possible after the abundance of times they had already made love just hours ago, but she was beside herself, her mind clouded in the ecstasy that was him taking her. His slow lovemaking was expertly extending her pleasure in a way only he could do for her. Charming was an expert in all things Snow and her pleasure was his delight. He could make love and fuck her for eternity and she would never get enough of this man.
And watching her come apart in his arms was a delight he would never get tired of. Snow...beautiful Snow, emerald eyes dark with love and lust for him...only for him. Red lips parted, as short pants of air were inhaled and exhaled. Her body writhing and glistening with perspiration, her back arching and aching for his touch. Her round, full breasts pressed against his chest and the moan she made when he put his hands or lips on them was one he wanted to hear forever. But the best part...thrusting inside her. It was an indescribable pleasure that he would never take for granted and a great satisfaction to know that he would be the only one to ever be inside her; that it was him that made her dripping wet and cry out wantonly. Gliding into her slickness with slow pumps and feeling her tightness clenching around his cock, quaking and begging for release, was a feeling he wanted to feel for eternity and would.
"Charming…" she whimpered, as she teetered on the edge still and her teeth grazed his neck where she had marked him again.
"Oh baby please…" she cried, begging to come. He could never resist such a command and gripped her hips, gently angling her and thrust sharply into her. Changing the angle and pace only increased the volume of her cries, for Snow was never quiet when being fucked. He was close too...it was almost painful, as he slammed into her, abandoning his slow pace for a much faster one, rocking the whole bed as he did. When her orgasm finally hit, she let out a wanton scream, as her body trembled violently. As she was starting to come down and lay sated, as her husband sought his own. He was only seconds behind her and she felt completion, as he erupted inside her, singing her name as he always did.
~*~
When he finally pulled himself from her depths, she almost whimpered at the loss. Their need for each other was akin to their need for air and always had been. She cuddled against him, as he fell onto his back and spooned her against him.
"So yeah...we're not moving today, because if I could walk before, I'm pretty sure I can't now," she breathed, as their skin was slick with perspiration and her legs were entangled with his beneath the bedclothes.
"Good...then my plan to keep you in bed all day is working," he teased, as he pinched her rear. She giggled and then caressed his handsome face, before grabbing her phone to check messages.
"Wow…" she said.
"What is it?" he asked.
"Just a lot of texts from our friends telling us that social media is still blowing up over everything they saw," she replied.
"Well that should make Boston a blast in a few days," he said sarcastically.
"Yeah...are we doing the right thing?" she asked.
"I don't know...but the Major does have access to a lot of Clayton's assets and who knows what that entails. And if she has it...that means the FBI has access," he replied.
"Yeah…I guess this might be the only way to make sure we at least have a hand in making sure they don't just try to come in here and take over," she said.
"Exactly, though I think they know that wouldn't be easy for them or they would have already done it," he replied.
"Damn Seth...it's like he did this on purpose. He knew that even if he lost that exposing us to the entire world would be like its own new curse," she fretted, as he took her hands in his own.
"I know...I hate it too, but at the same time, I think it's also an opportunity to do some good," he said.
"You really think our love can make a difference out there? In the land of people that don't believe in anything, especially not true love," she asked. He smiled and kissed her tenderly.
"I think that our love is so powerful and amazing that it can win over even the most cynical and skeptical. And even if we will certainly have those that will never come around, it doesn't matter, because our love just proved that it can defeat even the most powerful evil," he said.
"And Clayton's network is still out there...it's an evil that still exists even with him gone," she agreed.
"Exactly...they operated outside our reach, but they are within our reach for the first time. Some died when Atlantis was destroyed, but we know how deeply the roots of his network are. My father has confirmed that," he said.
"If we help just a few people by taking down the people still connected with his operations...then I'd say that's enough reason to go to Boston," he added. She smiled at him.
"You're right...and you're amazing…" she gushed.
"I am the man I am, only because of your love," he said passionately, as he caressed her face.
"You're the reason...you and our children. You're the reason I live, breathe, and fight. I am so lucky to share this amazing love with you that the least I can do is try to protect and serve those that aren't as lucky as us," he added and she felt like melting.
"Oh Charming…" she gushed, as he pressed another kiss to her lips and once again, they became lost in each other.
~*~
The next day
"Explain to me why we're doing this again?" James asked, as he parked one of new squad sedans on Main Street and they got out. She smiled at him, as she got their daughter out of the backseat while he got their son.
"Because it's the right thing to do and when I told Snow about what the Horned King taunted at me...she thought since Blue is even older than me that she might know something about my past," Aphrodite said.
"But will she tell you? She's notorious for lying and screwing people over," he reminded her.
"I know...but I have to try. Snow doesn't have to change her back and she would deserve it so I hope to at least implore her to tell me if she knows anything," she said.
"You know that I support you, no matter what," he assured. She smiled.
"I know...you are the love of my life, but the holes in my past are troubling. I mean...when I think about Eros' biological father, it just gets fuzzy," she explained.
"You think your memories have been tampered with then," he realized.
"Well, it certainly would make more sense than I sprang up from the sea foam one day," she countered. He smirked.
"I suppose so...but what if these memories hurt you? That's what I'm really worried about," he fretted. She smiled at him and took his hands in her own.
"And I love you for that, but I have to know what he meant...no matter what," she said with determination. He sighed and nodded, as he held their son's hand and she held their daughter's.
"You know I love Eros like he's my own, right?" James whispered. She smiled.
"Oh I know...trust me, my love, that's not what this is about at all," she assured.
"I know," he assured in return, as they arrived at the convent.
"Thanks for coming," Snow said, as she held hands with Charming.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" James asked.
"I mean...this is a woman who ripped out her darker half, then screwed her over by making sure she abandoned her child with a neglectful, abusive husband, which put Rumple on a path to darkness. Then she led the Black Fairy right to my wife and was the reason why she lost her son for thousands of years. Then she ruined Tink's life, refused to help Regina, made sure she separated Grumpy and Nova, tried to make sure you and my brother never met, lied to you about the wardrobe, and probably a lot of other crap we don't know about," James warned.
"I know...and Winter had every right to punish her. But I am releasing her, because I am going to show her that I'm not like her and all of us being happy is what really gets to her. I mean...she'll always be miserable and alone and I think that's far worse than being a garden gnome," Snow replied. David smirked.
"She has a point," he agreed.
"If you say so, brother," James said, as they raised the chalice and undid the spell that Winter had placed on her. Blue returned to her human form and size and immediately glared at Snow.
"Where is she?" Blue asked.
"If you're referring to my darker half...we rejoined with them," Snow replied.
"The curse is broken and Seth is dead," David added.
"You...you rejoined with your evil halves? Are you both insane?" Blue hissed.
"Wow...you're welcome. We could have left you like you were and let the birds land their droppings on you for eternity," Aphrodite interjected.
"No one was talking to you, bimbo," Blue snapped.
"Hey!" James shouted, as he got in her face.
"You can be an ungrateful, evil bitch since we know that's your true nature, but you're not going to call my wife names and disrespect her ever again," he growled.
"I liked you better when you were dead," Blue hissed back.
"What is wrong with you?" Snow demanded to know.
"I should ask you that! You were rid of your dark half and you reabsorbed her?" Blue asked.
"Yes...being whole was the only way to save our family and the United Realms. Seth was the true evil. All Winter ever wanted was for me to stop ignoring her and accept my darkness. I have...we both have and we have never been more at peace than we are now," Snow responded.
"You are still such a naive little Princess," Blue spat.
"Hey!" David shouted at her.
"She is Queen of Misthaven...your Queen and you better start showing her some respect," he said, but she ignored him.
"I'll take my wand back now," Blue said.
"That's not happening," Aphrodite refuted.
"It's locked away where you'll never get to it again," James added.
"You have no right!" Blue said hotly.
"She has every right!" James roared.
"She has holes in her memory and some silly story that Zeus told her about her being created from magic sea foam! And for some reason, Athena is too afraid to tell her anything else, but I know it's only because there must be something that is forbidding her from doing so...and I have a gut feeling that you have a lot to do with it," he added.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," she refuted, as she turned away.
"The Horned King...he said I was cursed. I want to know what he meant," Aphrodite called. Blue paused and Snow was almost sure she saw a note of recognition on Blue's face, before it disappeared.
"Then ask this Horned King," she retorted.
"Can't...he's dead. He was too dangerous to be kept alive," James replied.
"Well, then I guess you're out of luck," Blue mused.
"No...you know something. I can tell!" Aphrodite shouted.
"The only thing I know is that you're not cursed and the holes in your memory are simple," Blue said.
"You're an empty headed ditz that can barely remember her own name, let alone your past. But it's no wonder...you've spent thousands of years on your back and I guess you've just had your pretty head banged against one too many headboards," Blue sneered and Snow gasped at her outright cruelty. She saw tears fill the Goddess' eyes.
"You know that I'm not what the legends portray me as...you know I have only been with two men in my entire existence," she countered.
"Have you? You're the one that says she has holes in her memory," Blue taunted.
"Then tell me!" Aphrodite pleaded.
"Even if I knew...I'd never tell you anything, Goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure. Men certainly have enjoyed your talents...as I'm sure he does," Blue replied, as she walked away, leaving Aphrodite more confused than ever.
"Told you letting her go was a bad idea," James grumbled.
"She's a bitter old hag that no one will ever love. She's probably lying just to get under your skin," David said.
"He's right," Snow said, as she took her hands in her own.
"She won't help you...but I know Rose will and I'll go with you right now," Snow said, as they hugged.
"Thank you Snow," she replied. They were about to get back in their cars when David's phone rang.
"Sheriff," he answered, seeing that it was a call forwarded to his cell from the station. He sighed, as he listened to the person on the other end.
"Okay...yeah, I'll be there soon," he said, as he hung up.
"Trouble?" she asked.
"A body...on Pleasure Island," he replied. James sighed too.
"We better get Dad and Hook. They know that place best," he said.
"Yeah...we'll bring Emma too," David agreed.
"But Charming...that place is resistant to magic," Snow fretted.
"Resistant to it, but not impervious. Take the Chalice with you if you must go there," Aphrodite advised. David nodded and kissed Snow tenderly.
"We'll be fine...I promise," he assured. She nodded. James kissed his wife as well and she clung to him for a moment.
"You're my true love and I know you...I know your heart. Whatever is in your past...it would never make me love you less," he promised, as he kissed her again. She nodded and they watched them take the squad car, before getting into Snow's car with the little ones. Snow put it gear and they turned the corner to begin the short thirty minute drive to Andresia to visit Rose Red.
~*~
JJ looked around the reserve in wonder, as they got out of the car with Summer's older brother and his soon to be wife, Elsa. Elsa...the Queen of Arendelle and he noticed his cousin's glare on the blonde was perhaps even more intense than the ones she had been shooting Summer. That shouldn't have been surprising though. Nora hated most Disney movies, but none more than Frozen.
"This place is incredible…" he uttered.
"Yeah, it's pretty amazing," Summer agreed.
"And your brother runs this whole place?" JJ asked. She nodded.
"Leo can speak to animals," she replied.
"Seriously?" JJ asked. She nodded.
"All animals?" he asked. She nodded again.
"Yeah...we're pretty sure he gets it from Mom. She can communicate with birds. That's about the only part of the Disney story that's true," Summer replied, as Nora snorted in annoyance.
"And here I was hoping your Mommy would break out into song over a wishing well," she said derisively.
"Nora...you're in one of the coolest places ever. You might want to tone down your inner bitch," he retorted, as she glared at him.
"Yeah...he's right. The animals sense emotions and your clear dislike will not register well with them," Leo warned.
"Are you threatening me?" Nora asked.
"No...but if you don't want to be here, then you shouldn't be. Aren't you a reporter? This is like the scoop of the century to a reporter, right?" he asked.
"Oh this place is a scoop...but I'm looking for real dirt. That's what people really want. This is all nice and flowery and all. But people want to read about scandal and dirt," she said.
"Well, I'm afraid you're not going to find that here," Leo replied. Nora smirked.
"Oh no...this town is lousy with juicy details and shady things in people's pasts. But you're right, it's not here, so I'll be on my way to find the real story," Nora said, as she walked away.
"I'm so sorry about her…" JJ apologized.
"Yeah...how the hell did she get like that?" Leo asked, as Elsa smacked his arm.
"What? It's a valid question!" he retorted.
"Maybe, but you could be more tactful," she chided. He snorted.
"I'm a Charming...we have no tact. It's part of our...well, charm," he joked and she smirked at him in amusement. It was, there was no doubt about that. JJ smiled.
"It's okay...he's right, it's a valid question, but maybe we can talk about that later. I'd rather just get a tour, if you don't mind," JJ said.
"Not at all," Leo replied, as he whistled and JJ was amazed when four unicorns, include Sparkle, galloped toward them.
"Sparkle...I missed you!" Summer called, as the unicorn nuzzled her affectionately.
"Ready for a ride?" she asked. JJ smiled.
"Definitely," he agreed, as they prepared to take a full tour of the reserve via a ride on the unicorns.

And yet it moves lizard
#AND YET IT MOVES LIZARD FULL#
The goal of the game is to score the most points-through wizards and towers, matching spells, and collected gold and items.
#AND YET IT MOVES LIZARD FULL#
I don’t have a full rulebook link, but the Kickstarter page has a summary of the rules, as well as a “detailed gameplay” section. And if this meets the same funding levels as Raccoon Tycoon, then the start player token will likely be an enormous wooden meeple again, this time of the blue lizard wizard seen on the cover. The coins will be cardboard in the base game and metal in the deluxe game those who didn’t like the paper bills in Raccoon Tycoon will be happy to see this replacement. I believe the reagent tokens will be cardboard in the base game and printed wooden tokens in the deluxe game. Various treasures can be found in the Dungeon. Also, the tower cards all have identical illustrations, just with a different color to match the wizards-it would be nice for those to have unique artwork since everything else in the game is individualized by magic type. This is similar to Raccoon Tycoon as well, and although I do like both styles, I don’t necessarily think they really fit with each other, particularly the dungeon cards. The dungeon cards and the board itself are (I think) illustrated by Jacoby O’Connor, in a more cartoony style. The bottom half of the board is wonderfully illustrated, but is covered by cards during play. The portraits look like they’d fit well on the covers of a fantasy book series, and have a classical fine-art style. There are 7 classes of wizards, each represented by a different lizard and each favoring a different familiar. The components should be pretty similar to Raccoon Tycoon: the Wizard, Tower, Familiar, and Spell cards are all tarot-sized cards, which show off Annie Stegg Gerard’s detailed illustrations of the various lizard wizards and their familiars. Thaumaturgy must be the school of magic that involves cheating at bowling.
Mana coins (in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 20)Ī few of the wizards.
Gold Coins (in denominations of 1, 5, 10).
210 Reagent tokens (30 each in 7 types).
Stretch goals may add more components to the game, though I do not have a full list of those yet. Note: My review is based on a limited prototype copy and through playing it on Tabletopia, so it will include a mix of photos and screenshots, and some things will change between the prototype version and the final game. (Screenshot from Tabletop Simulator) Lizard Wizard Components New to Kickstarter? Check out our crowdfunding primer. Lizard Wizard was designed by Glenn Drover, published by Forbidden Games, and was illustrated by Annie Stegg Gerard and Jacoby O’Connor. The game is similar to Raccoon Tycoon but adds a few more things, so it’s a slight step up in complexity, but the rules are still fairly easy to learn. It’s currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, with a pledge level of $49 for a copy of the game there’s also the deluxe tier for $89 that includes metal coins, player mats, and wooden reagent tokens, or you can select add-ons individually. Lizard Wizard is a game for 2 to 5 players, ages 14 and up, and takes about 90 minutes to play. Recruit wizards, build towers, cast spells, and summon familiars in the land of Astoria! What Is Lizard Wizard?

Adventure Time Episode List - no fillers
So I've been meaning to do this quite for some time - some pf my friends wanted to catch up with Adventure time, but with the show being 9 seasons in, it's a lil disheartening, knowing there is a whole bunch of filler stuff. So, I decided to make them a list of plot centric episodes or at least those episodes that give more character insight.
Weeding out the fillers. There are, most likely, similar lists around, but this is just how I see the highlights of the show.
* - will mark episodes that aren't plot driven, but I feel are good character or story-wise or give more info for side characters.
** - will mark episodes that are contributions of guest directors and have simply a different visual style. They are usually fillers, but maybe some would like to enjoy the animation.
XX/YY - the first number is the episode of the series, the second is it’s number within the season.

Throne of Night Theory Builds Part 28: Denizens of the Sub
Best laid plans and all that. Here we are again, and it’s because of new information that I found. This means that my original plan to release the Book 6 additional encounters will have to wait for a bit longer. Although, that said, this could be part of Book 6. I honestly couldn’t say.
Never would have guessed, but today is going to be another rare treat of THREE builds at once. I haven’t done that yet. This will definitely be the biggest one to date. Before it was person and bodyguards, or person and animal companion. Now, it’s basically all of the above. What a treat.
No new art with this one, just information that I discovered while looking for new art. I’m still hopeful that I’ll find more. No luck though, and that’s okay.
As always, for space reasons, I’ll be cropping the encounter build.
All images shared here were done by the forever fantastic and amazingly talented Michael D. Clarke, aka SpiralMagus
I do not have a Patreon or a Kickstarter, but I do have a Ko-Fi page (linked) for those who are looking to support me monetarily. There is no pressure or obligation to do so.
Finally, before I get to it, I hope everyone’s staying safe right now.
EDIT: The stats and build looks prettier now.
Last week, for fun, I did a speculation build for what I would do if I’d been given the submarine map and told to go nuts with it, with no prior knowledge given. I’m not always great on it, but I have taken maps of locations before and just filled it in. It’s something you kind of learned to do when it was your turn to do your own version of the Temple of Elemental Evil dungeon and fill in all of the empty locations. Regardless, I took the concept of Lovecraftian creatures had to exist here to be a proper gateway to alleviate any whiplash when Book 6 introduced pretty much the rest of the “rogue’s gallery”, so to speak.
At the time, I just did my own thing. And I did put in there that it was quite possible that I was barking up the wrong tree. It’s why I didn’t do full and complete builds. Well, now it’s time for the real deal. While I don’t know about what else is in there, I do know now, that these stat blocks I’m releasing today (they’re still my theory build, so don’t take it as gospel, but the monsters are definitely there), as well as the brain collector I did stats for previously.
Let’s get to it. Note that I’m still unsure as to the when that these encounters occur, but it would either be near the end of Book 5, or within the first few pages of Book 6. It’s becoming more obvious that this sub is what the PCs use to infiltrate the submerged aboleth city. Either way, I made sure the CR for them were enough to be challenging, but not impossible for the likely party level. My assumption is level 17-18, and neither will be an Easy encounter.
Both set of builds will have creatures that have the Technologist feat. Considering how advanced this submarine is, and how alien everyone is supposed to be, it’d made sense that something from the Technology Guide would be present. If you want to go even further with the future tech, give the thanadeamons and neolithid key cards, and put lock coders at each of the doors. Maybe even a few cameras at various places so that the neolithid can keep an eye on them. Possibly swap out the bracers of armor on the neolithid for a forcefield.
First off, the guards of the capture sub. Regarding tactics, while I gave them a magic item to ignore difficult terrain, it should be noted that they have constant air walk. This means that, given the ceiling and width of the of the hallway, they can stand above one another, or just stand above the water without it interfering with their movement. This is especially frightening because it means they’ll always have a +1 circumstance bonus to attacks for being above their opponents. Definitely something to remember and exploit whenever possible.

Fear Gaze (Su) Cower in fear for 1d6 rounds, 30 feet, Will DC 24 negates. This is a mind-affecting fear effect. The save DC is Charisma-based. Soul Crush (Su) A thanadaemon can crush a soul gem (see cacodaemon) as a standard action to gain fast healing 15 for 15 rounds. This action condemns the crushed soul to Abaddon—resurrecting this victim requires a DC 30 caster level check. Technic Training (Ex) A scavenger adds 1/2 their rogue level to Perception skill checks to locate mechanical or high-tech traps and to Disable Device skill checks against these traps (minimum +1). They cannot use Disable Device to disarm magical traps. This ability replaces trapfinding.
----------------------------- Next up is the neothelid in the sub control room. Not exactly sure where this creature is on the map, other than “top floor”.
For this one, it made sense that an alien life form would be curious about mortals from the Material Plane, and might continually run experiments to learn more about them, see what made them tick, and how easily they could break physically, emotionally, or mentally. All in the name of science. The neothelid has no emotional investment in this sort of thing, after all.
As such, being so fascinated, I went with a design that had the creature build a representation of what it thought life was, based on previous encounters with drow prisoners, with a homonculus of its own design. Through various trials and experiments, the doll would either be placed in a cell right before new prisoners were brought in, acting as one who had been there for an unknown length of time, or the doll was put in afterwards as the new prisoner. The neothelid then sits back and watch events unfold through the eyes of its creation, taking notes of what did and didn’t work, and what discoveries were made.
The homonculus looks very similar to a drow, with a few features that might make it seem similar to someone from Taaryssia. It even possesses a name similar to that of a drow’s. It’s programmed to help its master’s with various experiements, whatever that might entail. It is a competent spy that’s designed to ally with new comers, gain their trust, aid them however they need, and gather intelligence for its master. Because it is an emotionless construct, anyone trying to make a Sense Motive check to discovery falsehoods take a –8 penalty. The homonculus doesn’t take a penalty as its master helps guides the conversation, making it less likely that suspicion be raised.
Because of the number of previous drow having been captured before, the homonculus has a decent amount of knowledge regarding Taaryssia. Enough that no one should suspect or believe the homonculus drow to not be a citizen.

Now we should be good to continue with the “additional encounters” for Book 6, like I did for Books 3-5.

Exploring East Bali
When I first booked this trip and gave the most time to Bali (outside of Japan) I wondered if I was making the right decision - now that I'm here, I feel as though I could easily spend a month exploring the wonders of Bali and another few exploring the other Indonesian islands. Given that, we booked a driver to take us around- despite being in fairly significant pain from yesterday's hike. Our driver Putu (which I later learned was another name for first born), picked us up promptly at 8am. Still tired from the previous day, we confirmed we wanted to head to snorkeling on the East coast and he headed for a village called Amed, while we slept for almost the entire 2.5 hour drive. Putu is extremely knowledgable (as you'll see further in this post) and told us that 20 years ago this had been a mere fishing village but now it had grown into a prime tourist destination. When we arrived on the beach he helped us find snorkel gear and beach chairs. On such a gorgeous day we couldn't help but grab a Bintang (hey, we had missed breakfast!) and enjoy our beers before we got into the water. They were delicious and I felt compelled to take a picture with my dad's jacket and the beer (at 11am), as I'm sure he is looking down on me with pride in his heart and a smile on his face. We did evntually go snorkeling and it was lovely. Listening only to the cracking of shells on the ocean floor, we glided over a gorgeous coral reef filled with schools of fish, many neon colored (finally, we know where inspiration for 80s neon fashion came from), sea urchins, blue star fish and even an underwater altar! The water was clear and warm and the cove with Mt Agung in the background felt very safe and relaxing - it was perfect. After snorkeling we had some lunch on the beach (and another Bintang, of course) and then headed back to the car for the rest of our adventure! Putu then drove us up, up, up to Pura Lempuyang a beautiful mountain temple or "stairway to paradise" as many westerners call it. On our way he saked us some very personal questions to make sure we wouldn't disrupt the sanctity of the temple which can never have a drop of blood on it and then gave us sarongs to wear. Interestingly, it is both the men and women who wear sarongs in Bali - though the men also wear small turbins on their heads. We walked up the steep stairs through three gates, each one more ornate than the last and looking back, each one with a better view, making the ascent worthwhile. He taught us a lot about the temple, a few notes: - Their god is also a trinity of 3 beings; yellow (west), white (east) and red (north) -- black fits in there too, maybe south? The trinity also represents creation, protection and destruction which flows through into every part of life (i.e. you would pray to the god of creation for schooling and knowledge because knowledge creats opportunities) - There are different types of temples: Family at the home, Village temple, Occupational temple (i.e. at a hotel for the employees or on a farm for the farmers) and General temple, where anyone can go - There are only 210 days in the Balinese calendar and when you're young (under 5), you celebrate these "otons" instead of western calendar birthdays - There is no mourning in the temple as it is supposed to be a place where you are fresh and happy. The learning didn't stop there though and in the car to the next destination we touched on: Trump (they don't like him here either, and they miss Obama), the fact that tourism is 65% of the Balinese economy and they worry about geopolitical events (i.e. North Korea) and how that might affect people traveling, and chickens who wander by day but always go back to the same place to sleep. Our next stop was the Water Palace (really a weekend retreat) which the King of East Bali built back in the early 1900s. It was absolutely incredible with the ocean to the East, mountains to the North and gorgeous tropical forests all around. We also learned that the Dutch came in shortly after, using the Palace as a place for parties, then Bali was taken by the Japenese during WWII, then the Dutch tried to come back after the war but Bali negotiated independence from the UN. Sadly though, the original palace was ruined in 1963 with the big eruption from Mt Agung - a theme we heard repeated at the next place we visited. Next we went to a small village closely by - called something like Tengagam (I'm sorry for all of my spelling as most are likely very off). The significance of the name tenga is that it means middle because these vilagers positioned themselves in between the hills to protect their clay houses from falling again (like they had after the 1963 erruption). Our guide, Ketut, explained that there were currently 235 families in the village and everything is shared and though some are artisans and others farmers, everyone is on an equal social level, in peace. As we met on of our guide's friends, he said Brooke Sheilds when he met me - honestly, it never gets old. We finally went back to Ketut's home and met his wife who did the double-stitch weaving they're famous for and he showed us the wood carving and caligraphy he does, which has been passed down generation to generation. Both were incredibly intricate and very pretty. The odd part in my mind though is that during their annual fetival, shirtless men will lash out at each other, with the purpose of drawing blood. They also have rooster fighting (common for ceremonies in Bali, illegal for betting) and they sacrifice a water buffalo and roast a pig. In such a peaceful place, this seemed very odd. After a long day exploring we headed back to Ubud and tried Dayu's Warung for dinner. A warung is kind of like a cafe - serving all meals of the day in a less formal setting than a restaurant. We enjoyed delicious fried rice and noodles, along with some coconut and corn fritters and a lemongrass and tumeric health drink (there are many places in Bali that don't serve alcohol, which makes me feel a little better about the Bintang breakfast and all the rice we were eating). It was a beautiful end - until we realized we had run out of rupiah and couldn't use a credit card - oops! I wandered around Ubud for about an hour until I finally found a functioning ATM but alas, when I started to feel frustrated I saw a tear-off flyer that said "take only what you need" and I took "freedom" and "love" for Amy, and "peace" and "confidence" for myself.

[Discussion, Long] Should Liverpool Target Wilfried Zaha? via /r/LiverpoolFC
[Discussion, Long] Should Liverpool Target Wilfried Zaha?
So I think we've generally agreed that we need cover in the attack. Whether it's to replace the squad wingers that don't really exist or to prevent us from playing Ings and Solanke in the CL, it seems a quality attacker needs to be added to this side so we can start to build the depth teams like Real, City and Bayern have.
I've been watching Wilf Zaha from afar for the past couple of years, and he seems a very talented lad, so I'm wondering if he could be a good option for a rotation striker/winger who might not break the bank. Here I dig deeper into that thought to see if it could be a good idea
Comparing Wilfried Zaha to Alexis Sanchez
I know Zaha is a former Manc and he's a bit divey, and I can see how those things would put people off. But I'm curious as to how his performance this season compares to that of Alexis Sanchez.
Few would dispute that Sanchez is one of the Prem's elite wingers/forwards, as well as a high-workrate player who would fit well in Klopp's system, so I think he's a good comparison point in evaluating the way a younger forward might fit in with our squad.
Now I'm in no way saying that I think Zaha plays a similar game to Alexis or that he's as good as Alexis. I just want to see how his numbers look against one of the elite players in our league
I've gathered stats from 3 sources (but I really wish packing stats were widely available!):
PL Official Site: Sanchez, Zaha
WhoScored: Sanchez, Zaha
transfer markt: Sanchez, Zaha
For those who don't want to click the links, I'll go ahead and break it down.
To be clear, I'm only addressing this season, and I'm only taking each player's PL stats into account because Zaha has only played in the PL this season. I understand that this decision might handicap Alexis's metrics a bit, but I couldn't think of a simple and sensible way to factor in his cup matches, so comparing their performances in the same competition seemed like the best way to go.
PL Official Site
Statistic Sanchez Zaha Appearances 28 26 Goals 9 (1 Pen) 7 (0 Pens) Goals / Match .32 .27 Goals (Head) 1 1 Goals (Right) 7 5 Goals (Left) 1 1 Shot Accuracy 39% 39% Big Chances Missed 8 7 Assists 6 2 Total Passes 1308 518 Passes / Match 46.71 19.92 Big Chances Created 10 6 Crosses 86 74 Cross Accuracy Not Listed 18% Through Balls Not Listed 4 Accurate Long Balls Not Listed 8 Tackles 38 30 Tackle Success % Not Listed 77% Blocked Shots 29 18 Interceptions 16 6 Clearances 0 1 Recoveries Not Listed 116 Duels Won Not Listed 210 Duels Lost Not Listed 231 Successful 50/50s Not Listed 106 Aerial Battles Won Not Listed 3 Aerial Battles Lost Not Listed 13 Errors Leading to Goal Not Listed 0 Yellow Cards 5 5 Red Cards 0 0 Fouls 31 40 Offsides 23 18
For some reason there are a bunch of stats on the PL site that are available for Zaha but not for Alexis. Idk what that's about
Who Scored
Statistic Sanchez Zaha Age 29 25 Rating 7.33 (AFC), 7.62 (MU) 7.29 Minutes 2286 2281 Shots / Match 3.6 (AFC), 1.7 (MU) 2.2 Pass Success % 72.4% (AFC), 74.3% (MU) 73.2% Aerials Won / Match 0.8 (AFC), 0.4 (MU) 0.1 Man of the Match 6 times (3 AFC, 3 MU) 3 Times Key Passes / Match 2.7 (AFC), 1.9 (MU) 1.7 Dribbles / Match 2.1 (AFC), 3.8 (MU) 4.1 Fouled 2.3 (AFC), 3 (MU) 2.7 Offsides / Match 0.8 0.7 Dispossessed / Match 2.5 (AFC), 3.2 (MU) 3.8 Bad Control / Match 3.4 (AFC), 2.8 (MU) 3.7 Crosses / Match 0.5 (AFC), 0.7 (MU) 0.5 Long Balls / Match 2.6 (AFC), 2.2 (MU) 0.3 Through Balls / Match 0.4 - Tackles / Match 1.1 (AFC), 2 (MU) 1.2 Interceptions / Match 0.3 (AFC), 1.1 (MU) 0.2 Fouls / Match 1.1 (at both clubs) 1.5 Dribbled Past / Match (Defense) 1.3 (AFC), 2.2 (MU) 0.7 Blocks / Match 0.1 (AFC), 0 (MU) -
WhoScored lists his strengths and weaknesses as follows:
Skill Quality Dribbling Very Strong Holding onto the ball Weak Aerial Duels Weak
And they describe his style of play like this:
Gets fouled often
Likes to dribble
Counter attack threat
transfermarkt
transfermarkt doesn't offer a lot of new information after scraping the first two sites, but it's still got a few interesting tidbits. First is that they credit Zaha with 4 assists rather than the 2 assists that WhoScored and the PL attribute to him, and they also have him with one fewer yellow. So idk what's up with that.
Here's the rest. It's not much
Statistic Sanchez Zaha Matches missed due to injury 2 (strained ab; he also missed 1 for an international match and 2 during his transfer saga) 9 (knee injury, 2 different spells) Note: Palace lost every match he missed, so they're 8-11-7 with him on the pitch Subbed Off 10 times Twice Subbed On Twice Once Minutes / Goal 254 313
Now obviously Sanchez is the better player. But I'm impressed with how well Zaha holds up.
Starting with attack, both players do most of their scoring with their right. Their shot accuracy is the same. And while Zaha scores less frequently than Alexis, it's not by too terribly much, and he doesn't shoot as often. He's missed one fewer big chance than Alexis in pretty much equal minutes.
Alexis has a clear advantage as a playmaker (and of course it's hard to parse exactly how much of that is thanks to the talent around him relative to the talent around Zaha). They pass with about the same accuracy, but Alexis passes WAY more, resulting in more through balls, more long balls, more key passes, more big chances created & more assists. Even so, Zaha is averaging close to as many key passes per game as Alexis has averaged since his move to United. They cross about the same amount, but it's hard to get a sense of how effective their crosses are from these statistics, and I haven't watched them enough to judge.
Alexis also shows better ball control, with fewer dispossessions and bad touches by a significant (but not embarrassing) amount. However, Zaha outdribbles Sanchez, draws about the same number of fouls, and strays offside a bit less often.
Defensively, both players are willing to put in a tackle, and I'm impressed with Zaha's 77% success rate in his tackles (I wish the PL had that stat for Alexis!). Their disciplinary record is effectively the same. Zaha fouls a bit more, but they've picked up the same number of yellows, and neither has a red.
Zaha's most undeniable flaw is that he just doesn't win aerial duels ever. He just doesn't do it. But that's not such bad news when considering adding him to this club because we don't really ask our forwards to do that. They occasionally score headed goals, but those goals come from well-worked build-up play, not from Bobby, Mo or Sadio out-muscling behemoths or flashing their high-jump skills
One thing I also found tremendously impressive about Zaha (assuming it's accurate) is that, even in an injury-plagued season, he was only subbed on once (meaning if they eased him back into match fitness, they only gave him one match, max three if the sub-offs were part of it!), and he was only subbed off twice! So in 23 of his 26 league appearances, he went the full 90! That suggests two things to me:
1) He has the stamina to go 90 minutes even when he's fighting or recovering from injury
2) His manager DOES NOT want to take him off the pitch
To me both of those are very encouraging signs.
I'm also meditating a bit on the split in Alexis's stats between the two clubs he's played for this season. His transition to United brought with it major statistical fluctation
He had one severe Dropoff:
Shots taken
Some non-negligible dropoffs:
Aerial duels won
Key passes
Bad control
Long balls
A few non-negligible upticks
Fouls drawn
Dispossessions
And a few major upticks
Dribbles
Tackles
Interceptions
Dribbled past by opponent while defending
So first, credit Alexis for his ability to transmute his playing style to fit a new managerial scheme. But second, it's such a stark reminder that statistics can be tremendously skewed by the tactics a player is asked to execute. You can't say that Arsenal Alexis is the real Alexis, and you can't say United Alexis is the real Alexis. What you can say is that Alexis is a player who has the tools do what's needed to play fluid, pass-and-move Arsene Wenger football, as well as the tools to play disciplined, deep-lying, shape-holding Jose Mourinho football.
I say that to say this: In considering whether or not Zaha would be a good option for Liverpool Football Club, I believe we should evaluate what tools he has to play for a Jurgen Klopp side, as well as what tools he'll need to develop further to truly succeed here. And when I look at the player he is right now, I'm excited about the kind of player he could be with Jurgen Klopp.
Here's what I see that I like:
He has something of an end product. 7 goals might not look like a ton, but with a .27 Goals / Match ratio, he's a bit better than a 1 in 4 scorer. That'd probably be about 10 goals if he were a 38 game starter for Palace, and my hunch is his confidence in front of goal would improve tenfold with the guidance of Jurgen Klopp & Zeljko Buvac, especially with the likes of (some combination of) Mane, Firmino, Salah, and Keita pushing forward with him on the counter
Dribbling is one of his finest skills, and he's got solid pace. Fits perfectly with our attack. He could sub on for Bobby if we want to inject some pace in the center of the attack, or he could give us the freedom to make like-for-like substitutions for Mo or Sadio if they start to lose their legs
He's missed fewer big chances than Alexis. Sterling's missed 11 so far this season, btw
He can put in a tackle. 30 tackles with 77% accuracy in 26 matches is nothing to sneeze at for a forward, especially one who's missed 9 matches to knee injuries
He hardly lets anyone dribble past him. I don't know enough about Palace's tactics to know how often he's put in that position, but people get past him about half as much as even Arsenal Alexis
He doesn't seem to get tired. If we start him, we won't have to worry about giving him a breather, and if we bring him on as a sub, he could cause real havoc with fresh legs against a tired defense
He's an efficient passer, or at least he's pretty much on par with Alexis Sanchez
He has 1 less key pass per match than Arsenal Alexis and nearly the same amount of key passes per match as United Alexis, even though he attempts solidly less than half as many passes as Alexis. Similarly, Alexis's 1308 passes have created 10 big chances, while Zaha's 518 passes have created 6 big chances. I'm encouraged enough by his peripheral passing stats that I think the assists would come were he placed in a system that asked him to pass more and he had the option of picking out Salah, Mane, Firmino etc
He gets caught offside less than once per match
He's 25, 1 year older than Ox, Robbo and Karius; the same age as Mo; 1 year younger than Bobby, Sadio, VVD and Matip; 2 years younger than Hendo, Clyne and Gini; 3 years younger than Lovren. Of course we've got the young pups like TAA coming up, and Milly and Lallana are becoming the elder statesmen, but I love the idea of having a group of guys in the same age group come into their primes together
He's good at drawing fouls
He likes to attack on the counter. I don't think he's as fast as Mo or Sadio, but he is fast, and obviously if you like an aggressive counter attack we're the place to go
He's doing all this in a shit Palace side and -- shudder -- a Hodgson side, at that. I really think he could have a Salah-esque breakout season under Klopp, though of course he'd have to share the pitch with our top-tier forwards, so he wouldn't have the abundance of opportunity Mo's had
I find the WhoScored Rating to be a bit shit, but Zaha is in good company, at least (tied with Muller and Mane, for instance)
Potential concerns:
Hold on to the ball! We don't want another Jordon Ibe "dribble.. dribble.. oops the other guy has it" situation. However, I think Zaha's a much more potent dribbler than Ibe, and I think our pressing tactics allow our forwards to make more direct attempts to beat a man because they know if they lose the ball there will be a swarm of red converging on the ball within seconds. So I'm not sure this would be too much of a problem here. I think our style might actually embolden him to take men on and drive toward the net with purpose. Just play smart and don't give it away in compromising positions.
pass more! I think that would be a natural transition from a Hodgson side to a Klopp side though. I haven't watched a ton of Palace this year, but I imagine he's often put in a position where he's kind of alone up top and the best option is to go for it himself or hold play up. Could contribute to his high dispossession count as well
TLDR: I think Jurgen could make excellent use of Zaha. It's not that he'd add a dimension we're currently lacking, it's just that I'd feel completely comfortable with bringing him off the bench or starting him when one of our front three picks up a knock.
Before I started writing this, if you offered me Alexis Sanchez or Wilf Zaha today, I would've snapped your hand off to nab Sanchez. Now... I'm not so sure. Zaha is 4 years younger, the same age as our core, and he has the physical tools to become sensational playing the kind of football we play, and he's already shown a willingness to involve himself defensively. I think he could really blow up in the right environment, and I think we could be that environment.
Now I don't know anything about how he is off the pitch, what kind of teammate he is, how strong his work ethic is, or if his personality would mesh well with Klopp's.
I also don't really have a sense of what his market is going to be, but I feel like he'd likely be in that tier below the 70-80m types. But who knows with this market? I'm not attached enough to the idea to throw stupid money around with City and their ilk at the expense of getting a Kondogbia-type in the middle of the park
