I feel I must show this to Tumblr. This semester I have created the single greatest thing I have ever called a school project.

I am currently in a college technical theatre program, specializing in props. Every year, as a program, we put on four major musicals in collaboration with the musical theatre program; two shows a semester.

This semester's shows were Big Fish and... the show I mostly worked on... Something Rotten!

For the finale of the giant, climactic, Make an Omelette number, the director asked for a giant golden egg that exploded out a "rubber chicken volcano"

So here's a funny thing I discovered a while back: In the Terminator Collectible Card Game, one of the cards is called "Rubber Skin" (referencing a comment from the first film about early versions of the Terminators having rubber skin instead of synthetic flesh, making them easier to spot), and it looks like this:

What I think is funny is that they decided to use a picture from the first film, specifically one of the puppet head from the scene where the Terminator removes his eye. To me, it feels like the person making the card is (presumably unintentionally) throwing shade at the special effects in the original film. "That puppet is unrealistic, it would be easy to spot as a rubber-skinned fake." Which I personally think is unfair, but it's still funny.
