So here's a funny thing I discovered a while back: In the Terminator Collectible Card Game, one of the cards is called "Rubber Skin" (referencing a comment from the first film about early versions of the Terminators having rubber skin instead of synthetic flesh, making them easier to spot), and it looks like this:

What I think is funny is that they decided to use a picture from the first film, specifically one of the puppet head from the scene where the Terminator removes his eye. To me, it feels like the person making the card is (presumably unintentionally) throwing shade at the special effects in the original film. "That puppet is unrealistic, it would be easy to spot as a rubber-skinned fake." Which I personally think is unfair, but it's still funny.

like a weird hybrid between a regular baby and a protoform

as she aged her body adapated more to "blend in" + take on her scanned form (human being) more closely until by the show time where she just looks like a regular little girl with an unusual hair color

I love the shapes you use to draw machete, or really any character!! The way you draw noses, ears, bodies, fur, it looks like of I were to reach my hand out I could actually feel it, the bumps in the skin the squish of the flesh the softness of the hair. Not to mention the colors you use are very pleasing to the eye. So lovely... keep up the phenomenal work!!!

#that's actually one of the tricks I use when I'm having trouble getting the shape and form of something right #I try to visualize the thing right in front of me and rotate it around and look at it from different angles #and imagine that if I could touch it how flexible and yelding it would be and what the surface would feel like #since I don't shade my art very dutifully the sense of tangibility has to come from somewhere else #so I guess I'm putting a lot of eggs in the shape basket #and I try to give off the effect that despite the flatness of my style the things I draw still exist in 3d space and have weight and volume #I've talked about this before but man I love anatomy it's one of my favorite things in the world #I specifically try to convey the feel that there's layers of muscle and bone and various other tissues under the skin #like my characters are made of flesh and not solid uniform rubber coated with fur or something like that (?)#I don't know what I'm talking about it's late hah #but I'm glad you like my art #anonymous #answered

hrghhhh how would you even go about mending an felt and fabricked and metal based animatronic

#disco speaks!#I’m trying to use references cause like they wouldn’t be restored #but they would be cleaned up and repaired/replaced in some way??#like I’m thinking about springtrap btw #like maybe use rubber or a plastic shell (plastic would be prone to breaking) rubber might be too toxic to the actual decayed muscle #and general mummified tight skin/muscle underneath so maybe a silicone based sheet layer?#yeah silicone would make the most sense for that layer #and then having like sort of fire house material or hrmm like neoprene or Kevlar lining on top of that #for general protection #is the casing fully fused to him??#how the fuck does that work #cause with the other animatronics you are just welp child body decays in their and their soul is trapped #so eventually the body is decomposed and essentially no use to the interior and motor functions of the suit #however in springtrap’s case that is not the same #while it can perform on its own it’s meant to have a wearer in it to puppet the movements #so when his body dies does it fuse to just the endo inside??#BUT THERE IS NO ENDO INSIDE??#yeah cause wait #he is the endo of the suit #(skeleton inside a skeleton (skeletonception if you will))#there is supposedly bracing for the spring locks and the interior structure of the suit #I’m still baffled on how it would’ve stood up on its own ngl #I’ve made a puppet head with a metal strap to create the base and then used fabric and foam as a covering #but also that would abrasive I like the idea of the jumpsuit like the movie version has but again material would have been corroded by blood #and other organic fluids as a result of decomposition #like the stomach would have had leaking bile and so would most of the organs due to the punctures #and there is also bladder which becomes loose due to lack of muscle strength so those fluids would take effect #and then the jumpsuit would chafe skin and cause infection as well #well not really infection once deceased but like it wouldn’t help

why do i keep wanting a paci eevn though i dont like things in my mouth

#chirps #i put a blanket in my mouth 1 time and thats the only time i proably wouldve useed a paci #things touching my cheeks firmlyish also makes my brain panic about skin #i like the aesthetic of pacis !!!! even if i liked stuff in my mouth i dont think i should though because i used to have chew stim toys #that where SUPERRR strong and i would bite them so hard that i could eat rubber in less them a week when i was being gentle #like could be used for dogs if it was bigger strong
