Honestly, if it were me, I'd bring him to the house and then build a network of people who would help transport him safely and discreetly to the Kennedy Space Center so he could sneak onboard a Space X launch and get the hell off of this planet.

I am not convinced he would want to be here AT ALL regardless of what Maria would have wanted, not after the events of Sonic 3. And I don't think he could truly find happiness here on the Earth with the way things have gone and how humanity perceives him. Maybe Shadow could find Sonic or some rogue GUN agent, get a ring off of them and just... go somewhere else.

Our poor boy thought he was going to become an hero saving the planet from the Eclipse Cannon. But he survived. He probably is still actively suicidal too. That's the real problem. I can dead-ass hear him say some shit to people about how he wants to "join Maria" while staring off into space and people think he means that shit literally, and try to literally help him leave the planet and go amongst the stars he came from, when that's... decidedly NOT what he's talking about.
