HC: Shadow is secretly in love with Sonic, but is afraid to ever show it because he's scared that Sonic will either die on him or otherwise be taken away from him. He doesn't want to have a Maria 2.0 scenario.

The Echidnas remind me of the saiyans from dragon Ball z. The Saiyans much like the Echidnas, were a violent bloodthirsty warrior species. They were born with amazing powers , much stronger that the average species. They would use their amazing power to conquer and anihilate other species. They agreed to serve a Warlord named Frieza and agreed to wipe out the inhabitants of random planets so he could sell them for the highest bidder. As a result the Saiyans were widely known across the galaxy for being a race of assholes. They were widely hated and feared for their actions.

It eventually got to the point that even Frieza started fearing the Saiyans and he wiped most of them out. However a tiny handful survived. One of them survived by being sent to earth as a child to destroy it but was raised by a kindly human instead. The child's name was Goku and he grew up to be pretty much a saint. Unlike the rest of the saiyans, he would use his powers to protect people and earth from evil doers and ne'er-do-wells. His kindness is quite the contrast to the rest of his bloodthirsty species.

Even Goku, when he found out about the destruction of the saiyans, all but outright said that they got what they deserved and that they have paid for their crimes for being wiped out, Similar to what knuckles said about his own ancestors.

The Knuckles Clan being such terrible awful people is why I'm so fond of Knuckles being a gentle nurturing soul under all that grump. "Knuckles" was probably synonymous with slaughter and pillaging 3000 years ago. They were known as conquerors and murderers. I think they'd see Knuckles' kindness as a weakness. See him taking their name to be a mockery. He's turning the name of the clan from something to be feared, to something that brings hope.

Knuckles has openly derided the actions of his ancestors before. Warns others not to be like them. So I could see him directly going against what they stood for.

Diamond castle au- introducing: Sonic, Muse of Dance, Comedy and Poetry

Sonic’s the only Muse that became one against his will (lets be honest, Sonic would never choose to become an immortal deity)

Mortal sonic:

He was a nomad, travelling wherever the wind took him. He loved seeing and learning about the different cultures and traditions he came across, and along the way he became quite the dancer, having learned from different places how they dance and adding parts of it to his own style

But at some point he became a ring fighter

I imagine that he caught the eye of Apollo during a sports competition but im not too sure about the specific details yet tho lol

Sonic definitely didn’t wanna be a muse and was grouchy about the whole situation but decided to try to make the best of it, and after a while he begrudgingly admitted that it wasn’t so bad, specially when he starts a rivalry with the muse of history and things start to get more interesting

Ya think the reason Shadow is so offended by Sonic calling him a Faker is because it's the one thing Shadow is most afraid of? That slim chance that he isn't...real? That he's artificial...a fake?

This is one of my fave moments in unleashed. when Amy realizes the werehog is Sonic she proudly states that no matter what he looks like, he will always be her sonic, even if he looks like a big scary werehog.

Just goes to show that Amy loves Sonic for his heart and not his bod. Shallow she is not.🦔

Its a good thing shadow is the ultimate lifeform and presumably immune to illness

Shadow would probably refuse to go to the doctor because he thinks "They'll hurt me and use me as a guinea pig", which would lead to serious problems if he got sick..

HC: The word "Useless" is greatly taboo among Eggman's robots . Just hearing the word strikes fear into their metallic hearts. The word frightens them so much that they hate to say the whole word so they just refer to it as "The U word", this is because hearing that word being uttered by Eggman means that one of them is going to be scrapped and tossed into the furnace. It is not just a word, its a warning that their lives are coming to a close and they are marked for death.

Eggman : "This bitch useless . Yeet!" *picks up a Badnik and tosses it into an incinerator as it begs for mercy* 🥚🗑️🤖

Eggman doesn't give a shit about anybody's race, sexual orientation, gender , color or creed because all beings are equally inferior to him. Nobody gives a shit about an insects gender after all.🐜

Everyone is a slave at best or trash at worst in his empire. Slaves get kept around for their ability to serve/praise him. Trash just gets destroyed and thrown out for being useless and/or opposing him or getting in his way(Bonus points if he literally tosses an enemy's remains into the trash after destroying them.🗑️ Yeet!🤣).💀

Truly Eggman doesn't give a shit about anyone besides himself and absolutely everyone is beneath him and he's their superior emperor far above them. All that matters is that everyone serves him in his empire and knows their place, are forced into it by him, or be eliminated.being like nothing more than insects such as ants of a colony to serve only him feels like a good way to describe it, as he sees them only as masses to him and not at all for the individuals they are as their lives are meaningless to him beyond that.

But at the same time he can weaponize literally anything about someone against them when he wants to manipulate them like when it comes to their kindness, softness, naivety, gullibleness, etc, and then bring them down for those things for being weaknesses that made them vulnerable for him to take advantage of. Or even outside of that when he just wants to be cruel and hurt someone emotionally as well as physically, he can insult them for their appearance, personality, age, identity, you name it. Nothing is off the table.

He's insulted Sonic and friends for their age like how he said Tails was "just a kid" and has insulted others for being old even though he's an old man himself lol, he's insulted others' personalities like when they have softness and kindness and willingness to help others like Knuckles or Emerl, he's been sexist towards Blaze, he's even insulted others for being fat three times. If literally anything at all can be used as a way to insult them, he'll be sure to use it, as well as look for things to take advantage of and they often go hand in hand.

But I feel outside of that he just doesn't give a shit what anyone is because he'd have to value their lives and give the attention and time of day in the first place to put that much thought and care in it. He's always too busy thinking about himself and how he's better than absolutely everyone and none will ever come close to his level. But as soon as he wants to spit venom at a target he gets really nasty about it though. Even if it means insulting others for things that he himself is too because they don't do it in a beautiful fun sexy way like him! XD

But most importantly, no matter what or who they are, they're all nothing more than slaves or trash to him that he will literally throw away like it too if they can't serve his needs. He'll toss or drop kick them into the trash or incinerator lol. They're toys to play with and break and that's all that matters to him hehe

Something possessed me and uh now I have and intense need for competitive pair skating content with these two duos specifically. Really messy coloring style for me but I kinda dig it. Here's also the first sketches I did of this concept with Shadow that further cemented this idea in my head.

Diamond castle au- Silver as Melody, the muse apprentice!

Son of the muses of dance and history respectively, Silver had been apprenticing under the three muses ever since he was just a young god, all with the intentions of becoming a muse himself one day when he was ready, being inspired by his parents’ beautiful music

However over the centuries as he was growing up, tensions began to grow and grow between his parents, to the point were they could barely stand to be in the same room together without being at each-other’s throats (i mean they usually were at each-other’s throats but the vibe was more venomous than out of sense of competition), so much so that their music wasn’t in harmony anymore, just, like, total dissonance

The arguments got so bad that Silver started spending most of his time with the muse of music, Mephiles, to get away from the fighting. But then Silver overhears that he plans to take over and rule over all arts by himself.

He ran to his parents to tell them what happened and, thinking quickly, the two muses made the decision to hide the castle along with their instruments, telling Silver the key to finding it again just in case something went wrong while they were confronting Mephiles, telling him to get as far away as possible and hide so that, no matter what happens, Mephiles won’t find out the castle

To hide, Silver used his whistle to hide inside a mirror and has been stuck inside for millennium since, stuck in eternal silence for fear of being found. He doesn’t know what happened to his parents but hopes that one day they’ll find him and set him free

…2000 years after he hid inside the mirror, it’s found by two girls with beautiful music

Psychologists would have a field day with Knuckles. In fact he provide a great case study on the effects of literally having to raise oneself alone from birth.

Even orphans usually have some (albeit faint) memories of their parents/caretakers and have someone (to sort of) raise them. Even kids in orphanages (which aren't always nice) get some education and support and get taught life skills and fed. Knuckles didn't have any of that. 😭😭😭

Yah I think Knuckles parents died shortly before he hatched. Poor Echidna poggle essentially had to raise himself and be a guardian (a responsibility he never asked for or even wanted). All because his ancestors were greedy dumbasses😭

There's a lotta different possibilities for what happened prior to Knuckles' birth, but it seems pretty definitive that he was alone from inception. Poor guy..... how does a child even deal with growing up like that? No one around to teach him anything at all, he had to figure it all out himself.... how to feed himself, how to navigate an island covered in traps and hazards, how to deal with injuries....

No wonder he's so stubborn and insistent on doing everything himself. He had to grow up and learn to be independent immediately. Never had anyone else to rely on for over a decade. Fulfilling a role he never asked for and doesn't even fully understand.
