i started playing nine sols last week and now i can’t stop thinking about it. i haven’t been able to recently because it needs a controller (mine is elsewhere)… yi i miss you……..im getting back to it today and i cant wait!!!!

1 January 2025 - Happy New Year!

Each year I like to look back on the art I was most proud of to share and look back on the progress I made. I made the Bloodborne (oedon chapel), Dark Souls (knight artorias), and Elden Ring illustrations back in March and that was a huge turning point for me for making fully rendered illustrations with more detailed backgrounds. During artfight in July I pushed myself to use brighter and more saturated colors and had a lot of fun with the character illustrations I made during the challenge, and that same month made probably my favorite illustration I've done so far, the drawing with Yi shooting the bow from the game Nine Sols. I also tried out some art style studies, my favorite one still being the style study of Studio Trigger I did with my character Morrigan.

This next year I'm hoping to get some more practice with storyboarding and character designs! And I wanna keep up the progress I made with using brighter colors and using more contrast in my pieces.

It's Sunday so I'm getting on my pulpit to be self righteous for no reason.

There are things to be said about a person's reaction to something based on who they are reacting to. Someone said that she likes it when guys lean in and say "I really want to kiss you," but only if it's right person.

Otherwise, it's creepy.

A person isn't an option if they are unwanted. They could be the healthiest, least toxic person on earth with butterflies coming out their ass, but as long as they're unwanted, they're not an option.

Not to talk of being the "better option".

Just the way Sol isn't an option. Not anymore. I mean, he used to be until Ming showed up and took up all the space in Joe's head.

Look at this.

This is a man who is receiving affection from someone he wants the affection from.

As opposed to...

... politely...

...consistently...

... saying no.

He doesn't want a declaration of love from Sol anymore.

And yes! He has also told Ming no, but he has at least told him yes, too.

That's the difference. The possibility of permission.

A possibility that doesn't exist for Sol... as the better option.

unfortunate news for the one ghoul in the campaign that managed to hit one of the two triggers for Solaire's anger. and the worse one to hit at that. the second one she can be talked down from (with difficulty), not this one though. this is the "i am going to ruin everything you value and then kill you" trigger.
