The cute lads have wedged their way back to the forefront of my mind haha#I'm honestly really glad I kept all my Webkinz plush over time and they've survived all the moves and whatnot#Some are still missing - most notably my horses for some reason - but I have the rest onhand and they're still cute and soft and I love them#Getting the opportunity to name and play with them as a young'un made them stick quite strongly in my mind ♪#And I still find some of my design sensibilities with their roots in the gameplay/game design/UI design/interactivity#I think it inspired some of my Video Game Design brain which is an aspect of myself I'm quite happy with :D#And I /love/ plushies probably now more than ever <3 So I'm doubly glad younger me didn't get rid of them haha#Got my lineup that featured in Tala's Requestober this year ♥ I left out a couple for what are probably obvious reasons ahem ahem#If you haven't seen what the Official design of the clownfish is in Webkinz... The plushy is arguably worse lol why that one of all of them#Hire me to design Webkinz fish I dare you#There are actually several cute fish - and several ugly ones! Lol I don't know why they're so inconsistent#It's not like the differences between Signature and Classic! Most of the fish are Classic or eStore! I don't know what gives lol#Anyway lol the other one I left out was my Night Mare since I couldn't remember his name either - which is a shame! I liked him#I still have some fairly clear memories of playing Webkinz with those lads <3 Of the different rooms and relationships and games#It's nostalgic! It's nice to reminisce on something so cheery and cute and light and fluffy :)#As for the rest hehe - I tend to pick up 'kinz whenever I find them at secondhand shops and the like - much like Lalaloopsies#They're out of production! I unfortunately lost the account with Baaby so I had to start over again but that's alright#This time I've got Embroidery and she's in a closet cosplay of Edgar haha - black-and-grey striped shirt with dark pants and round glasses#And angel wings! I think ur down playing exile on accident. The times where people visited don't rlly count because to c!Tommy they were ingenuine and just there to pity or for decorations which that third one was something c!dream told him about ghostburs visits

Perhaps you are right, but here’s the thing, just because c!Tommy sees things a certain way or thinks certain things are true doesn’t mean they are true. Not to say his feelings aren’t valid, of course. Exile was terrible and tragic regardless if it actually happened the way he saw it. You can feel alone, even in a room full of people. You can be suicidal and depressed even if the circumstances aren’t dire, and Tommy was just betrayed by his best friend that could cause anyone to spiral and feel alone. Even so, that’s not me saying that Exile wasn’t horribly isolating and Dream wasn’t cruel and manipulative. I was simply (perhaps not the most successfully) trying to look at it from an outsider pov - if it was from their pov then it’d be kinda more like this:
Dream (loses his armor and weapons, spends months tortured everyday, spends most of a year eating potatoes, his best friend is trying to kill him (like everyone else)): “I quite enjoy life.”
Tommy (his items are taken over and over again, spends Exile getting tortured by green bastard, spends Exile getting manipulated and screwed in the head to the point of contemplating suicide, his best friend doesn’t visit (just like everyone else because the green bastard turned everyone against him)): “I built a pillar because of Dream and I almost intended to jump off it.”
If that makes sense… I appreciate you using accident and thinking the best of me <3. Yes I’m not trying to minimize Exile but at the same time, 9 days to approximately 83 days of torture and 314 days of imprisonment total, it’s hard not to minimize Exile with that comparison, even if his 9 days was starvation, torture, and isolation (besides his torturer) it still wouldn’t compare and that’s not even what happened anyways, ya know? (<- not an open invitation to talk more about exile, I’ve talked about it quite a lot more than I care to, so go read those posts)…

man ok so you know the spiciness scale on menus that show you how spicy a dish is so you can order based on your tolerance. can we have that for sauces too please
#im being serious btw. the sauce to rice ratio is very important and sacred to me#whenever i eat at home i get to choose how much sauce i can have with my rice because i dont like absolutely dousing it but i still wanna b#able to taste it yanno. i dont do well with slippery/saucy foods and ive given up trying to understand it. it might be a sensory thing#i am so sorry to admit this on the soup website but i cant handle thick/chunky sauces or curry. forgive me#the worst part is that i actually can handle and even enjoy some like caldereta and congee. but its so hard to tell people ill eat this but#not that.. its embarassing because it feels like im making exceptions. which i am!! because its preference!! but alas#but anyway with the sauce scale. i was thinking it would be nice to include a scale for how much sauce you want with a dish#rather than just skirting away from a food because you feel like you cant handle the texture or feel unsure about it#sauce could be adjustable without completely changing the recipe so it would be more like a matter of quantity or serving size#also i feel like i can make cool names for the scale. like “light drizzle” to “sauceageddon”#im asian so when i eat sauce i pair it with rice and it works because the rice kind of cancels out or makes the sauce more tolerable for me#with caldereta i make it an even 50/50 because i can taste it in the rice without the texture getting in the way#but with pasta and sauce its normally 1/3 sauce because the pasta normally isnt enough to cancel it out#i also grew up with relatives making fun of my eating habits and i really really hate eating at restaurants and gatherings because of it#maybe its because they want to make sure im eating right but!! you dont have to call me out for my 1/3 portion of spaghetti sauce!! damn!!!#anyway im not sure if anyone feels the same abt this and maybe its just me. but it would be really nice to have this a normal thing#without judging ppl for their eating habits and preferences. on god#yapping#food ment#EDIT: ASKING FOR SAUCE ON THE SIDE. tbh the biggest thing that drives me towards synthv and cevio/voisona 2.0 isnt even the smoothness and clean "realism" of it all, its actually the fact that said realism allows for more variation in vocal provider pronunciation mouth and tongue positions etc to shine through. i know people in da vsynth scene often use "character" to refer to a voice's robotic or engine noise-y elements (i assume because of piapro and such) specifically but i think the character that comes directly from the vocal samples/training itself is a little underappreciated. cevio ia's か゚-y がs <3
#and this applies to sv's standard banks too. their lites are very intentionally lofi both std and ai so at first you might not notice#but you can so clearly hear how like maki's vowels are more open than like rikkas for example#eleanor doesnt have a lot of comparisons but maki eng again has more open vowels. eleanor also has like. this like. almost#almost transatlantic accent???? like classical singing accent i dunno#genbu also has very few comparisons as literally the only masc jp standard vocal ever released but his vowels are more pronounced than#rikka or seika's smoother ones in their standards. which is why sometimes if you have two vowels in two different notes far away#like a high note to a low he'll do a bit of a microsoft sam soi thing. a slight helicopter noise <3 nature of concatenative <3 <3 <3#he also has his crazy powerscale thing going on. and the secret phoneme groups. the bonus soft and falsettos. the secret ones#and obviously utau is great for hearing vocal sample pronunciation quirks wonderfully clearly with different resamplers <3#v2 and v4 also sound not too bad for it. sorry to be the worlds only v3 hater but i do find a lot of v3 voices too fuzzy and noisy that the#eat up any pronunciation. thats why. im really sorry. but a lot of higher jp v3 voices sound near identical to me#other languages oddly let more pronunciation quirks through. which is why i love avanna so much LOL see us also great#the chinese banks are also really nice. of course you gotta love luo tianyi.#and we love clara here. rip. and bruno. with fem jp v3 vocals i like. specifically miku vivid and light. because she sounds so funky#such sharp consonants. i also really like aoki lapis's consonants. wait what the fuck sorry i just found out lapis was voiced#by someone chosen by contest?? thats awesome. her vp is an actor now but this woulda be really early in her career. maybe the start of it?#thats wild. what was i talking about again. um. i like pronunciation variation :)#when i speak i draw my fricatives out real slow. but people like my parents do it fast. theres so much variation in the world <3
