I really love Siobhan Thompson for deciding that the way to really drive home the personality of her obnoxious-on-purpose, hyperactive 8 year old (or the stoat equivalent) character in this season on D20 was to take a perfectly normal name and give it the mommy-blogger treatment by spelling it in the stupidest possible way.

Fucking "Jaysohn". STG. It's not even the y. It's the silent h that gets me. I hate it so much, but it is so perfect for her character.

Please help me decide characters should they play?

We need this to be chaotic.

I was thinking

Abi; so that they have to decide whether or not to shoot Nick. (I love playing abi, but one of said friends is a dude, and i need to know, if he knows, to fear men lol)

Jacob; because of the emotional turmoil that is he, and since he has so many possible deaths.

Further than that though i can’t make up my mind, on which of the other characters to give them.

we’re playing couch co-op with 5 people in total (fucking yikes!) so the two newcomers get two characters each.

please make suggestions for two more characters that are… easy to mess up?

there’s going to be two players with only one character each. so i’m thinking they get laura and ryan, because their parts are quite long

Siobhan "Spitfire" Pierce-Evans, Irish immigrant. Got her start as a aeroplane mechanic's apprentice before becoming the first female pilot in WW1, flying reconnaissance for the UK. After the war, she went on to fly competitively, winning third place in the 1924 Italian Schneider Cup. After that, she immigrated to the US, where she began her baseball career with the New York Wonderbolts and quickly rose the ranks to become team captain. Pitcher, killer curveball. [Inspired by Dorothy Arzner]

Soren "Baby Face" Christensen, Scandinavian-English American. Lives in Brooklyn near the Fifth Avenue Line. Competitive pie eater. Slugger, with a 0.340 batting average. Mama's boy. Used to work on an airstrip and fly in the airmail service in the early 1920s. [Inspired by Babe Ruth, Superman, and the human form of the tanukis from Pom Poko]

Faizah "Fleetfoot" Farraj, 2nd-gen Syrian American. Lives in Little Syria, Manhattan with her family. Has been playing baseball all her life. Fastest sprinter on the team, infamous base-stealer. Despite being one of the youngest on the team, she has a head of grey hair due to a magical incident from her childhood. Speaks with a lisp. [No inspiration]

★ childhood memories - elliott ★

★ as previously mentioned in an elliott post of mine, elliott’s parents suck and he was raised by his nanny siobhan

★ he would read or doodle during recess, a lot of kids poked fun at him for it and the teachers would get annoyed that he wasn’t doing what recess was for (in their opinion)

★ his parents only attended two birth parties that elliott could recall: his first birthday and his 16th birthday

★ all the other parties involved them handing him a check and telling siobhan to take him somewhere

★ the worst birthday was when he turned ten years old, no one showed up to his party and his father yelled at him for being upset about it

★ got bullied for having long hair and to stop the bullying, his mother took him to a barbershop and they cut it off about ear length

★ he cried in bed for days after that hair cut but it unfortunately didn’t stop the bullying and the bullies still bullied him for being effeminate

★ always ate lunch with his english teacher, mr. evans, who had in 6th grade but he went to a K-12 prep school so he could see him whenever

★ mr. evans was like a dad to elliott, always encouraging him to do his best and hone his creative & literacy skills

★ elliott also did theatre and managed to get the leading man role in most production (because he was the only guy with talent); mr. evans, sibohan, and his sister eleanor would go to his performances

★ elliott unfortunately lost connection with mr. evans when the teacher got diagnosed with cancer and had to go on long-term disability, but elliott made an effort to visit him on occasion in the hospital to update him on his life and what not

★ however, when he entered the 11th grade, mr. evans succumbed to cancer and passed away; elliott attended his funeral because mr. evans informed his family ahead of time to invite him

★ to his surprise, elliott was named in mr. evans’s will and inherited two items he still uses in the present: the green tie that mr. evans worn to every class and a leather journal filled with writing tips and tricks that mr. evans complied during his time as a novelist under the pseudonym liam powell who wrote one of elliott’s favorite books a nightingale’s somber song

★ ever since he moved into pelican town, elliott vowed to never return to his childhood home and community, as well as to write a book that would make mr. evans proud
