✨ 7 reflections on my personal new year. #itsmybirthdayyall . . - My life is divine by design. I can decide to live a lie (self-doubt, worry, inadequacy, comparison) or live alignment in the truth that I am here for reasons bigger than my own fears. . . - Growth is not linear. Expansion happens in cycles. I revisit themes and experience them differently as I learn to lean into them and tend to the crossroads accordingly rather than resist all together. . . - No is a complete sentence. Periodt. . . - Having expectations for how others should treat me is a prison. Setting healthy boundaries and upholding a standard for who can enter my personal space and how they can enter sets the tone for healthy relationships and is essential for maintaining peace in my life. I am blessed to have some pretty amazing ones now. . . - Life is a series of mini deaths and rebirths. I am here to learn how to grieve with gratitude and understand that every ending, no matter the magnitude opens the way for new life. . . - Spiritual ecstasy through trance guides my joy. ✨ #fbf to this super potent post from 2 years ago around this time. I still experience these feelings from time to time but I am expanding like a mug ::DC voice:: and you can too! Happy Friday, lovers. I hope this gives someone what they need this morning. 🙏🏾💕✨ . . Every move we make on this path is fueled by faith. I didn't step into yoga as a line of work with a solid plan or business knowledge 🤦🏾♀️. Although at times I wish I did, I think falling and getting back up a few (read several) times has allowed the fire within me to burn even stronger. I just knew this was my calling. I've been rejected, shut down, doubted and felt shame. I've sat alone and thought about giving up. I've silenced those defeating voices in my head only for them to show up again to test my diligence. Do you really want this, Sihnuu? I continue to step into that space where I'm ready to learn and open to expand. I'm learning lessons and growing more business minded every day even as I've fought against it in the past. At times I grow impatient with my progress but I still have a ways to go and I'm going at the pace that suits me best. I'm turning my passion into a full blown lifestyle and it feels pretty legit here. I'm grateful to to be surrounded by and have the support of other souls on fire. . . . ✨ We often fool ourselves that we are concentrating because we fix our attention on wavering objects. B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life . . It’s such a challenge to find stability in our outer world. Just when you think things are coming to a stand still, the veil of illusion is lifted and something else comes along to shake things up a bit. It feels like we are back at square one trying to find solid ground. This is a common theme because no matter how stable things look on the outside, life is a constant shift. Things are always changing and evolving, so nothing will ever be still enough to allow us to catch up. . . The stability that is constant and real is internal. Our capacity to stand firm and resolute as life throws challenges our way is the stability that is most fortifying. We can decide how to respond, when to let go and when to ride the wave of understanding and spiritual expansion. We all have the option to focus in, root down and rise up.
